Grabbing the first thing her hand touched in the bowl brought a little surprise. She blinked and then smiled and stood up.
"Come on Naruto. I got you."
Her cousin shrugged his shoulders and follows his cousin into the closet. Naruto shuts the closet behind him then sighs as he sits down.
" Now that we have a second. You need to talk to Hinayana. She likes you. You really can't do better than her."
"Ame, are you telling me to date Hinayana?
"Yes. Yes, I am."
She smiles and sighs lightly. She looks at her cousin with with her two different colored eyes. Ame smiles.
"I want to see you happy. Plus we can't live together forever."
"Wait are you moving out!?"
"No. But I might in the future."
Naruto is about to say something when he sees a bug walking on his jacket.
"Bug guy? Are you listening in?"
"Naruto, his name is Shino. And that's not one of his beetles."
She gently picks up the bug and sets it on a shelf. She smiles as it walks away. Ame looks back to her older by a few months cousin.
"Naruto. I do want to ask you. W-"
Ame sighs nervously.
"Would you be upset if I did date Shino? I- I like him a lot. I think I have since I first met him."
"You want to date the bug guy?"
"Stop calling him that. He has a name. Just...please? I don't want to sneak around and date him behind your back. Grandpa and Aunty already said yes. But since we live together, and your my elder cousin, I want your permission."
Naruto looks at her and sighs. It was true she was always smiling and happiest when the weird guy was around. Plus she is always wearing his stupid jacket. Naruto tried to get her to wear his time and time again. She always picked the grey one with a high collar.
"If it makes you happy fine."
Naruto gets up and sets his hand on the doorknob. Ame stands looking at her cousin's back very happy.
"Just know if he ever hurts you then I'll make sure he won't have a reason for children."
Ame hugs him from behind, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"Thank you."
Just as the door opened. She places a kiss on his cheek. She moves around him and goes back to her spot. Naruto notices the bug guy goes over and sits next to her. The two of them talk. He could handle that for Ame's happiness.
"Naruto, thank you for allowing us to date."
Naruto got an annoyed look on his face and pointed at him.
"I knew you were spying!!"
Ame blushes and lays her head on Shino's shoulder taking his hand in her's.
"He wasn't spying. He was being supportive while giving us some space."
Ame smiles and relaxes. Ignoring the stares and looks that said she was crazy. She finally felt whole. That made her happy.
