An: Creator of Magic: It is quite strange to write in such a way when the girls aren't evil. They have a long journey ahead of them.

NymhadoraTonks: Treehugger! I knew Fauna's nickname had to be that because it explains her bubbly personality in these first chapters. As for the figure...not a narrator. She is someone completely new. You'll find ut who she is, but I won't tell you when! thank you for your compliments on the cover, it took some time to develop what I wanted the characters to look like.

PowPow456: the specifics of Matt's panic attack will be unraveled slowly, but I assure you that it's worth the wait.

THANK YOU ALL!

Donna had fallen asleep after reading the first chapter. She was going to read the second, but the next thing she had known, she was drooling on its cover in the daylight. Luckily, the orb had stayed on, giving her the extra light that she needed to wake up. Donna quickly scanned the room to see the other girls hadn't gotten up yet. She snapped her fingers to reverse the orb spell.

She thought it was a dream. The book that was laying under the covers waiting for her. Why was it there? Who put it there? It was all very strange. She was used to strange things, and this was mild compared to other things she had experienced. But this was specifically odd because inside the book was the untold story of Laura, Fauna, and Eliza. It even had mentioned Matt.

Donna was about to open the book again when she heard Ally yawn. Even though Donna knew she wasn't trying, Ally's voiced yawns always attracted birds to the window. Two cardinals were suddenly perching on the window sill. "Oh," Ally said as she put her glasses on. "Shoo! Shoo!" The birds followed her command and flew back into the winter's morning. "Birds." Ally grumbled as she glanced over to Donna.

"Morning," Donna hid the book behind her back swiftly. She knew better about keeping things from her friends, but there was just something special about this book. Like it was meant for her eyes only.

"Morning," Ally yawned. "I suspected you would be up. Surely you would want to check on Matt early." It made Donna's cheeks glow a light pink.

"I know he'll want to see me," Donna shrugged. "Maybe he'll be well enough to go to school." She had almost forgotten about his injuries. Donna was worried about him. She didn't want him to get any worse conditions than he already had.

"With that panic attack and stitches?" Cassidy's voice came from her bed. "They'll definitely keep him on the bench for a day."

"I'm sure Brandon could get injured," Catherine shrugged. "That way Matt would be forced to leave so the nurse could tend to him." All four girls shared a small laugh.

"I won't know until I see him," Donna shrugged as she got out of bed. Strategically, she dropped the book at the perfect time for it to be caught by her backpack.

After getting ready for the day, Donna traveled to the nurse's office. She went in and knocked lightly on the door frame. Matt was already sitting up and was dressed for the day. He was reading a book or at least trying. He was getting better now with his dyslexia. With the change of tutors, he was having small but steady improvements. Donna was proud of him for sticking with it.

At the sound of her knocking, his head turned sharply, as if he was alarmed. When his blue eyes met her violet, he calmed. Appearing much better today, Donna had a small sigh of relief. Matt set the book under his pillow before rising to his feet. "You can't be in here," he went to her. "I'm supposed to be isolated all day."

"What? Why?" She was surprised at how well he looked. His skin was no longer pale, he could hold himself up fine, only the stitches on his forehead indicated an injury.

"For my brain to heal or something," Matt looked back at the pillow. "My mom snuck a book in here for me, but I think it's too hard right now. Do you have a notebook I could borrow? I don't know what I'm going to do all day. I can't even use my phone. The nurse will be back soon, she went to get me breakfast."

Donna dug through her bag quickly and fetched one of her blank notebooks and a few pencils. When she looked at the book, she felt a small urge to show it to him. It was about his first girlfriend after all. "Here," she handed the notebook to him. "So, will you be back in your room tonight?"

"Hopefully," Matt nodded. "I'm afraid you'll have to study on your own."

"Oh, I don't know what I'll ever do," Donna teased. Matt gave her a playful shove before bringing her into his arms. The heat was rising in her cheeks as their faces were brought closer. His lips twisted into a playful smile.

"Did I ever tell you good morning?" he asked. Donna felt a small shiver go down her spine. She never got used to his little advances, even after almost four months of being together.

"No, I think I missed it," Donna sighed.

"Well then," Matt leaned down to plant a kiss, but then he jerked his head back to a distant sound. "She's coming. If she catches you in here I'll have to stay longer. Hide!"

"Where?" Donna asked, pushing herself from his hold.

"Under the cot," Matt lifted the little bed skirt that converted the wheels. Donna dove under the bed and Matt dropped the curtain to conceal her before getting up onto the bed. She could hear the nurse come into the room. The bed adjusted a little as Matt sat up again.

"How are you feeling? Do the stitches hurt?"

"I'm feeling much better. The stitches are sore, but it's nothing terrible," Matt said after he faked yawned. Donna tried her best not to laugh at his terrible acting skills. He slightly kicked his foot under the bed as in warning. She flinched slightly as his foot came inches from her face. He and the nurse continued to have a conversation as she checked on the stitches and gave him some brain tests to make sure he didn't get a concussion.

It was going to be a while before Donna could manage to make an escape. She looked at her backpack, it was still unzipped, and the Broken Souls book was falling out. She thought about telling Matt about it before she would read anymore, she felt she needed permission before intruding on the memories written about last year. But, nothing exactly pertained to him yet. Silently, Donna pulled it out and opened it to the second chapter. She cast a dim glow orb spell so she could continue to read...
