THE LONE DEMIGOD CHAPTER 3
A/N: Hey, I'm back with a new chapter, it is just a filler chapter about the demigods' views on the avengers. Remember, Percy is 17 yrs old now.
When Percy and Annabeth were whisked away, they dropped unceremoniously in front of the Times Square in the middle of the road. First, they had to quickly cross the road to escape from the incoming car.
When they reached the sidewalk, Percy and Annabeth made a deal that they would go back to their homes, and would come back to camp to check up on the people and also train themselves and others on the weekends.
Percy had decided that he would go to school in New York, whereas Annabeth would go to California to bond with her step mother and siblings. It was a good plan.
After a week of enrolling into Midtown High, with Paul's help of course, Percy was ready to go to camp and reunite with his beloved Wise Girl.
At camp, he met with everyone even Annabeth, he rushed and hugged her.
They trained and ate and trained and ate. All the demigods; Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Will, Piper, Jason, Chris, Clarisse, The Stoll Brothers, Leo (he was resurrected) and Calypso; sat huddled together around the camp fire roasting marshmallows, laughing and telling stories.
Finally Annabeth asked a question that was on everyone's minds.
"What do you think of the Avengers, guys?" She asked.
"Well they are just a bunch of reckless people in my opinion." Piper answered.
"I don't really like them." Jason responded.
"Percy?" Connor asked.
"Oh! Sorry what?" Replied the son of Poseidon.
"What do you think of the Avengers?"
"Well they are out of control. They have great powers but someone needs to put them in check, also they should hand out some cheques for the homes of the people they have destroyed, but that's different, what I am saying is that they are a lot like us." Percy said.
"I am with Percy on this one, the only reason we are safe and the government is not coming after us, trying to put us in jail is because of the mist and the ancient laws. They don't see what we do, they think Chimera is a tiny chihuahua and that a sword is a baseball bat. We have also destroyed many homes, and we have killed many mortals. But every time we or the gods blame it on the ancient laws, like why aren't you claiming the demigods … oh it's because of the ancient laws."
" What are you talking about?" Clarisse asked.
"Percy's right, the avengers should sign the accords and at the same time they should not retire from the avenging job. The people want someone to blame, the laws give them that, if you have someone to rely on, you feel safe." Will said supporting Percy and his boyfriend Nico.
" But some people will oppose the laws and the rules and then maybe they will become like Luke, he was a victim of the laws, People will become victims," Annabeth answered.
"Whatever, we shall cross that signing the accords bridge when it comes, till then just enjoy whatever there is around you." Percy said calmly, laying back on the ground and staring at the sky and the stars, particularly and huntress constellation, it had always been his favorite. The rest had dispersed and went to sleep in their cabins, while Percy fell asleep right there after murmuring a goodnight to Hestia.
Annabeth's final thought before going to sleep about the avengers, was that it was just a small debate, though she could never be so wrong.
The next day was pretty uneventful, Argus dropped Percy and Annabeth off to their respective places and went back. Percy stepped out of the van and thought ' Finally I can be Normal.' But boy, he was so wrong.
Olympus
"Father please, I am telling you, I saw it with my own eyes" Dionysus told his father.
"NONSENSE! If the infinity stones were truly surfacing we would know, we would feel it."
Zeus boomed.
"We all have been feeling it Zeus, only you aren't, brother please look at the signs, it is time we start to investigate it, since the destruction of the bifrost, we are not getting any sign from Asgard, nor from the Nova Corps," Yelled the concerned sea god.
It had been 3 days since they had been discussing this matter, and three days since Zeus's eyes had been glowing purple instead of blue as if someone was controlling him.
" Father…" "Brother…." "Uncle…" Everybody was shouting at each other.
"SILENCE! Tell me Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, if the infinity stones really did resurface, wouldn't I know?" Zeus thundered.
" Yes father but…."
"Very well then, MEETING ADJOURNED." Zeus struck his thunderbolt at the ground and flashed away.
"We must do a investigation on our own, mustn't we uncle?" Athena asked Poseidon.
"Yes, we should, Athena contact Xandar, Hephaestus contact asgard, Dionysus, tell the campers about the infinity stones, and I will contact Hecate to talk to the sorcerer supreme. Am I clear?"
A chorus of YES SIR! Rung through the halls, and everybody flashed out.
New York
Peter Parker was excited, in the past few weeks, he had sort of become a celebrity, well his alter ego, spiderman had. One day he was on a field trip, and the next day he was swinging through the city with webs.
He used his power to help people and that's what people liked. But no one knew his identity.
He stumbled into Flash, the school bully.
"Watch where you are going (***) Parker" He said.
"Okay flash, see you at practice, he smiled and walked by.
When he was walking, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a boy with jet black hair standing in the office talking to the receptionist, he must be a new student, peter thought.
His thoughts came to a stop, when a familiar voice spoke.
"Hey Peter, I bought this new Lego Death Star set, can you help me to build it?" Ned, Peter's friend asked.
"No problemo." He answered.
They then walked together to the class.
Mr. Roger, who was the teacher and coach came in.
"Alright guys, stop whining, today we have a new student coming to Midtown High, so please help him be comfortable over here. Alright new guy, come in." His last phrase was directed towards the door, it opened and in stepped the same boy peter had seen in the office. But now he could get a closer look at him, he had a tan skin, raven black hair, he was wearing a blue hoodie, blue ragged jeans and his eyes, his eyes were the most beautiful thing, they were a shade of seagreen, like a swirling ocean on a rainy day, full of power, but they also radiated a feeling of calm, loyalty and safety.
"H-Hi everyone, I am Percy Jackson, nice to meet you all."
Xandar
"Commander, he is getting too close, we already lost half of our soldiers, there is nothing we can do," Corpsman Dey yelled to her captain.
"Thanos.." Commander Rael started but an explosion blew her back.
"Commander!" Corpsman shouted.
Irani stood up, knowing there was no way to win.
"Corpsman, take the orb, and fly to Knowhere, inform the Guardians, tell them that Thanos's crusade has started, and he is after the infinity stones. THIS IS AN ORDER CORPSMAN, I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN SEE MY PLANET DESTROYED!" She handed the key to the orb to Corpsman and picked up a blaster (or gun) from a dead soldier.
"But, Commander, what will you do?"
"Battle till the end."
