Straight - someone who likes the opposite gender (male likes female, female likes male).

Gay - a male who likes males (also used as an unbrella term to define someone under the lgbtq community)

Lesbian - a female who likes females

Bisexual - someone who likes two genders, mainly used to say someone who likes males and females, but can be ANY two genders.

Pansexual - someone who doesn't see gender, dates anyone regardless of gender (hearts not parts)

Omnisexual - someone who dates any gender.

Polysexual - someone who's attracted to any three genders.

Other terms;

Polyamorous - someone who dates multiple people, with the consent of all participating partners (this is NOT an open relationship, nor does this allow someone to cheat).

Non-binary - someone who goes by they/them pronouns.

Genderfluid - someone who goes by many different pronouns, such as she/he/they etc. they also sometimes only go by one pronoun on certain days.

Transgender - someone who transitions from one gender to another, such as male to female, or female to male.

These are only a few that I could think of at the top of my head, research if you want to know more, but hopefully this helps a bit.

April 2nd 2021

The nursery was dark and warm. A few queens were still asleep, laying in their nests as their kittens slept around them. A few had let their older kittens out to play under the supervision of another queen, while others curled their tails around their expecting bellies.

Outside Minnowpelt watched the kits. She was talking to Dawnflame, the ginger cat having a sharp look in their eyes. "Do you think Milkstream is okay?"

The soft pelted she-cat rolled onto her side. Ears flicking as she swatted a fly away from her head. "Why wouldn't she be? Thornstar loves her just like you do - and those kittens are spoiled rotten. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."

Dawnflame frowned. "Still, a walk around the territory at this time is dangerous." They sighed heavily before turning their gaze to the kittens.

The many litters were running around. Each of them had their own 'stats' - a rule the older kittens made up to try and hold more power. It was a stupid thing, but what could they do about it? That's how the real world is. Course, none of these kittens will be high in power unless they become the mate of the next leader.

Even now, it was clear that none of their kits would become leader. As Thornstar made it clear he wanted one of Milkstream's kits to lead after he passed. The dumb tom thought it would be a very long time before that happened, and he seemed happy to think that the kits he has now aren't the next in line, that future litters will be runner ups.

A small squeak made their ears perk. Amber orbs flickered down to look at the small, golden kitten that rested at their paws. Their heart dropped at the sight. Thornstar was so sure that the poor little kitten wouldn't live, and to be honest they thought the same thing.

The kitten, named Leopardkit, had been born the runt of the litter. She was the same color as their father, and their aunt Leopardsnow - or somewhat like that she-cat anyways. That how's they had picked the name. But upon being named the runt, she was also blind.

It took the young kitten much longer to open her eyes. And it worried the warrior, that was until a few nights ago the unusually spotted she-cat had opened her eyes. And behold - the dark amber eyes were sightless, unable to see anything that went along around her.

Minnowpelt must've notice their staring. A long sigh escaped the soft gray queens lips. "You should let her play with the others," her voice was soft and low, as if unsure she was able to speak on the matter. "I'm sure Mossykit will play with her."

The ginger cat nodded, a tilt of their head following. It was a nice thought to have the young runt interact with her denmates, but worry still sparked at the thought of Leopardkit being near others.

The she-cat laid her tail across Dawnflame's back. She nudged the young kitten gently with her nose, tail waving to her kittens. "Mossykit!" The brown she-cat raced over at her mother's call.

Big, blue eyes stared at the two queens. "Yes?" Squeaked Mossykit, she sounded so young and tiny. It took a minute, but Dawnflame realized that the little kitten was small - like Leopardkit small.

A runt? Dawnflame gave a small purr. It hadn't dawned on her that Minnowpelt had a runt too, of course it made sense she tried to help them with Leopardkit. Mossykit looks good for a runt - strong, not weak. A little small but that's it.

It made them smile at the thought. Head turned to look over at the gray she-cat. "Thank you." They meowed softly, tail flicking the soft pelted queens flank.

"Don't mention it." Purred Minnowpelt. "Now, how about you show Leopardkit around? She needs a bit more help than the others - can you do that for her?"

Mossykit took a moment to process it all. Eyes wide before she waved her tail happily in the air, a purr shaking her entire body. "I can do that!" She purred, tail waving at the blind kit. "C'mon."

This is just one more small chapter before we get to the real, longer chapters through Leopardkit's view.
