The others had already left the compound and Davina waited for another three hours before she allowed herself to look at a large mirror.
It was time for her to decide what to wear to a Supernatural Party.
Judging from her wardrobe, it looked like Davina Claire loved to wear white clothes, which seem to symbolize her untouched innocence and her purity.
However, she was a different person now.
She knew that scarlet was the color better suited for her.
Scarlet was the color of her true power.
It was also the best color to hide the blood that she might end up spilling if worse came to worst.
Deep in her gut, she knew that a confrontation with her supposed enemies was inevitable. So she knew that she would come prepared.
For the past three days, she had spent understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the different supernatural creatures that might be attending the Faction Party.
She also made it a point to learn more about this Original Hybrid named Klaus Mikaelson.
Of course, she had only seen glimpses of him through the eyes of the other Harvest Girls who saw him.
She had pried it away from them instead of Genevive, who fancied herself in love with the Hybrid and obviously had a sexual relationship with Klaus. Something Davina didn't really want to know about.
With all the knowledge that she had learned from the memories of others, Davina Claire looked at herself in the mirror and used her power to fashion herself a scarlet dress from thin air that showed her womanly curves.
What she conjured left nothing to the imagination and Davina did not feel slightly apprehensive when she stared at the image she presented.
The dress was made of some rare material and was a mixture between silk and mesh. Something daring that the innocent Davina would never care to wear. Something that would certainly draw attention to her if she didn't hide herself with her power.
Perhaps she would unravel herself when the time was right but first she needed to observe the people around her before she made herself known to the people of the Faction Party.
It was time for her to spy on her supposed enemies and make a judgement call on her own.
.
.
.
She arrived at the party without anyone noticing.
The party was packed with all types of creatures that the Faction were made of. Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches.
Davina was glad that she was able to use her power to alter how others perceived her.
No one gave her a second glance.
To others, she was just a waitress, handing out drinks, when in truth, she was drinking shot after shot of vodka and was observing the people around her.
As a result, however, she was getting drunk but she was using her powers to even alter her metabolism too.
In the last hour, she had watched the older brother Elijah Mikaelson at first before her gaze finally landed on a particular blonde hybrid, Klaus Mikaelson, whom her attention hadn't left him since then.
The Hybrid seemed to have sensed someone watching him in the past few hours. It was more than one occasion that Klaus Mikaelson had looked in her direction but only seen a waitress busy tending to the drinks of other people. Someone of no importance.
However, as Davina became more daring as the hours passed by, she allowed herself to draw close to her supposed 'enemies' and observed the Originals at a dangerous proximity.
There was something about the blonde, blue-eyed hybrid with the british accent that haunted Davina. Something about him reminded her of someone else. Someone with the same coloring. Someone important to her that brought immeasurable pain in her chest.
She knew that she lost someone important and she knew it wasn't the same boy that the hybrid had poisoned.
It was someone else.
If only Davina could remember who the man was…
Due to her rising despair, Davina started drinking irresponsibly and began to forgo the thought of altering her metabolic rate in favor of allowing the liquor to finally have an effect on her.
Hence, by the time she heard the commotion close to her, Davina was already tipsy and people were starting to frown in her direction. Probably because their perception was blurring when it came to her appearance.
She was just reaching out for some of the strawberry muffin at the table to quench her hunger when a person suddenly crashed into it.
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" She heard someone shout and there was a blur of movement as two creatures fought.
Suddenly enraged by the sight of the destroyed table and the pastry spilling all over the floor, Davina didn't think much of it when she found herself stopping a fight between the vampire - whom she remembered as Diego - and the werewolf - who she dimly recalled as Oliver.
There was a flare of scarlet the moment she waved her hand up. Then, she watched as all activity seemed to just suddenly cease. The noise was gone while she allowed the two fighting creatures to suspend mid-air.
"I hope either of you knows how to cook and make me a new batch of strawberry cheesecake because I was craving one, but you happen to smash the table containing a dozen of them by the way." Davina's eyes flash in irritation while she holds the werewolf and vampire within her scarlet hex.
When she realized that the people around her stood frozen mid-action but completely aware of what was going on, Davina said out loud to the still people within the Abattoir. "Sorry, I didn't mean to stop the party completely. Here. Let me fix that."
So with a snap of her finger, Davina returned the people to what they were previously doing like clicking play in a video that was paused.
Even as she allowed life around her to resume, no one dared move a muscle as they gape at her.
Like she just appeared out of nowhere.
"Who the the devil are -" a familiar accented voice said from behind her.
However, the moment Davina whirled around to face the person, he stopped and said instead, "Davina?"
A shocked Klaus Mikaelson asked while subjecting Davina to a slow scrutiny from head to toe.
Meanwhile, Davina was well into her cups that all she managed to say was this.
"Why hello there handsome! I am disappointed that you don't recognize me at first glance. I know its been ages...Now, did you not miss me at all, Dearest Klaus?" She said while placing a hand on her waist, which put a lot of emphasis to her curves.
