Chapter 2

"Man, this place isn't too shabby." Ichi stated as he walked through one of the many halls of Monster High. It's been around 15 minutes since he entered in search of the San. But he's taking his time since their original objective was to get familiar with the place.

"I have to say. I'm surprised I'm still on the first floor. This place is huge." Ichi stated as he stopped by a set of double decker doors. He read the sign and raised an eyebrow. "No way! A pool! That's pretty cool."

Deciding to check it out, he pushed the doors open and walked inside. Ichi saw the place was the size of a football field. Having bleachers to the side, while the roof had lights which were on. The color scheme of the pool was odd but cool. Ichi walked near the edge of the pool for a better view.

Giving a whistle, Ichi scanned the pool itself. "Wow, that pool looks top notch. Man, just looking at it makes me want to take a dip."

"We'll mate. If you want, go ahead. No one's stopping you." A voice called out.

"What the heck!" Ichi screamed in surprise as he jumped over the edge. For a brief second he groaned as he realized what happened.

Splash!

Finding himself underwater, Ichi grumbled as he swam up to the surface. Once he broke through he laughed as he asked. "Alright, who's the wise guy who decided to pull that prank?!" Ichi demanded. Grabbing the ledge of the pool to wipe the water off his face.

"Hehe. Sorry mate. I didn't mean to scare you." The same voice called out, but this time he noticed it was feminine.

Looking up, he saw a girl. A sea creature type monster from what he can tell. Most noticeable feature of hers is her blonde hair with blue streaks and her green eyes. The one piece unitard looks good on her though.

"You alright mate?" The girl asked. Shaking his head. He nodded. She reached out with her hand and Ichi took it. She pulled him out with all her strength while Ichi got himself out. One he made it. He looked down at his clothes and groaned slightly.

"Great. Now I'm going to walk around all wet." Ichi stated. He sighed. He looked over the sea girl. "Thanks for helping me out."

The girl smiled. "No problem mate. My name's Lagoona by the way. It's nice to meet you-Eeek!" Lagoona squealed as she covered her eyes.

During her introduction, Ichi somehow took off his yellow jacket and was squeezing the water out of it. However Ichi was now bare chested, showing his lean and defined muscles.

"I'm sorry? What did you say?" Ichi turned over to see her fluster. "Hey, what's the matter?"

Lagoona just stared wide-eyed at him. "I said my name is Lagoona and why did you take off your jacket!?" She tried hiding her eyes again but she couldn't help look through her fingers.

Rolling his eyes, he replied. "Well Lagoona. I took off my jacket since I don't want to be cold until it dries. Which will take a while if I left it alone."

Turning back to his jacket, continued to squeeze it.

Lagoona, not wanting to be blushing and making a fool out of herself. She rushed to the benches where she left her duffle bag. She searched for something until she found it. She rushed back to Ichi.

"Here!" Lagoona shouted as she held out something to Ichi. The lad stopped again and looked at her. She saw in her hands a jersey with a purple and blue color scheme. "Here! You can wear my jersey for now. You can give it back later!" She stated.

Ichi looked at her and went back to the jersey. "Uhhh thanks Lagoona. But wouldn't it be too small , got me? Cause I'm men's medium."

Lagoona shook her head. "It's fine! Also I tend to buy my jerseys a size larger cause I like the space it gives. So I'm sure it fits you um…. What was your name again?"

Folding his jacket and setting it aside. He took the jersey from Lagoona. "Thanks Lagoona. Also my name is…. Edward "Eddy" McKash. However, I prefer to be called Ichi. Not as in the kind meaning an itch." Ichi introduced himself.

Lagoona chuckled a bit from his joke.

Popping the jersey open, he inspected it. On the back it had "Monster High" in book letters while it had Lagoona's name below it. Seeing nothing else wrong with it. He put it on.

"Thank god he put the jersey on." Lagoona thought. She could feel her blush going away. "Any longer and my face would have been stuck red all day. And that's saying something."

Adjusting the jersey to make sure it feels comfortable. Ichi then turned to Lagoona. "So Lagoona. I didn't know there were any students in Monster High yet. School doesn't open for another few days. What's a…. Ghoul like you doing out here?" He asked. Remembering what term to use for female monsters.

"Ummm." Lagoona hummed. "Well. That is true. However there are some students who come like a week or two before the start of school. So they can have a head start decorating their dorms and get organized. Those students have access to some facilities except the classrooms and everything else like the gym or cafeteria we can use. Which explains why I'm here. I came like a week ago."

Nodding his head. Ichi spoke. "Makes sense. I'm guessing you were here for a swim."

"Yeah. Hehe. You can take me out from the sea. But you can't take the sea out of me." Lagoona chimed.

"Hehe. I can see that." Ichi chuckled.

"By the way. What's with the human disguise? You can take it off if you want. This is a monster school after all." Lagoona said. Looking over Ichi.

"Oh. About that…." Ichi chuckled. "I'm human."

Lagoona smiled but Ichi could see a slight twitch. "Come again?"

"In humans. Lagoona." Ichi stated. "Full blooded human."

Ichi watched her reaction, expecting either fear or shock. However he didn't expect her to screech in happiness.

"Eeeeek! Now way!" Shouted Lagoona. "A human! Amazing! How did you get in? Where are you from?" She then went off asking a huge amount of questions.

Ichi rubbed the back of his head. "Before I answer that. I was not expecting you to be excited for a human being here. I thought you would be more.."

"Angered? Scared?" Stated Lagoona. "Can't blame you if you think that way." She chuckled. "For a matter of fact. Me and a couple of my ghoul friends aren't scared of humans. We believe that humans and monsters can get along. We just need a better understanding. But since the majority of the humans in town aren't friendly. We never really had the chance to make human friends."

Lagoona then got close to His face and he swore he could see stars in her eyes. "But since you're a human. We can be friends! Can we?!"

"When yeah. We can." Ichi slowly poke her forehead and pushed her back.

Lagoona blushed as she fixed herself and cleared her throat. "Sorry about that."

"It's no problem. Just glad you're accepting of us humans." Ichi said. "To answer your question. I got in cause me and a couple of my friends met Me. Goodbloode recently. We were new to town and cross paths with her. We talked and found out she was a monster. She asked why we didn't freak out. Simple. San is a monster fan and loves monsters. Nii is open minded and wouldn't judge others of what they are. While I could care less. I believe in the rule. "If you're cool with me. I'm cool with you." She then offered us a place to stay and have an education if we help her out with something. Which is basically attending monster high and showing that not all humans are bad. If things work out. More humans will be allowed to attend one day."

The sea ghoul absorbs the intimation for a moment. Her smile grew. "THAT IS SO COOL! That's amazing what you guys are doing! Man. I'll be glad to help you guys if you want too!" She squealed. Lagoona then raised an eyebrow. "Wait. What do you mean by place to stay and education."

"Me and my friends were orphans. We moved from place to place. Doing jobs to feed and clothe us. Lucky we had Nii as he was the smartest of us all. Without his brains, we wouldn't have survived" Ichi waved off. He saw the sad look on Lagoona's face. "Hey don't worry. That's in the past. We're here now so everything's good."

"That smile on his face is contagious." Lagoona thought but smiled. "Alright, anyways. If I may ask. Where are your other friends if they are with you."

"Well. All three of us were supposed to see the place together. But San. He's not the brightest out of all of us. Ran in like a kid in a candy store. Nii. The responsible one. He chased after him." Ichi stated.

"Oh. What does that make you then?" Quipped Lagoona.

"I'm the loud yet fun leader of the group." Ichi shot back. "Which reminds me. I do need to find San. Once I do. I can send Nii a text to meet up." Ichi then looked around. "Anyways. Since you know this place better than me. Want to show me around. Hopefully we can find him faster."

Pressing her index finger on her lips. She hummed. "Hmmmmm. Sure! Why not! I'll be glad to show you around. Let me change first!" Lagoona smiled.

"Perfect!" Ichi cheered.

/With Nii/

"Oh dear. Where is San?" Grumbled Nii as he had his hands on his face.

Nii already searched the first floors and second floors. But didn't find San. Nii ran past Ichi but saw him without their big lug of a friend. So he just kept going in search.

Nii found himself outside at the football field. He sat in the bleachers.

"San. I swear when I find you. I'm putting a tracker on you." Mumbled Nii.

"Hey are you alright?" Asked a female voice.

Nii looked up from his spot and he couldn't help but blush.

Standing a few feet away from him was a female werewolf. He couldn't help but look into her golden eyes. The werewolf noticed staring and raised an eyebrow.

"Hey buddy, you alright over there?" She asked once again.

Nii snapped out his thoughts. "Sorry about that. And yes I am alright. Thank you for asking Ms.?"

"Clawdeena Wolf. That's my name. And no worries. I noticed you were out here for a while and wondered if you were alright." Stated Clawdeena. She then pushed her hair back a bit. "So, since you know my name. What's yours?"

"My name is Eddward "Double D" Hawkins. But you may call me Nii." Nii introduced himself.

"We'll Nii. It's nice to meet you. Anyways if I may ask. What are you doing out here in the field for so long?" Clawdeena asked as she took a seat next to him.

Nii sighed. "I was looking for one of my friends. He ran in the school all excited. Out of the three of us. He is the one to most likely break something. So I followed after him. Our other friend went one way to find him while I went the other." Nii explained. "I searched the first floor and second. Already. I found this place last and searched every nook and cranny. But I came up empty handed. So now, I'm just taking a break before I continue."

"I see." Clawdeena spoke. "By any chance your friend is yay tall, yellow tan skin with red had hair in an undercut fashion? Wearing a dark green coat?"

Nii shot up and turned to her. "Yes. That's him! Did you see him by any chance?"

Chuckling. She took out her phone and showed him a picture.

As Nii took in the photo. On it was San holding a stack of books while it looked like a zombie girl took the photo. As he could see her close to him. He also noticed where they were.

"Hey that looks like – Wait a minute! He's back at our home?" Asked a shocked Nii. "Who is that girl he is with by the way?"

"The zombie girl you see is my friend." Clawdeena said as she put her phone away. "Her name is Ghoulia. She sent me a text saying how she came across a normie running in the halls. They bumped into each other. We'll more like him crashing into her. Told me how he was excited to see a real zombie. Anyways, one thing led to another. How does a normie like your friend understand Ghoulia? Most don't monster, heck less humans, know the Zombie language?" Asked Clawdeena.

Nii didn't know how to answer but shrug.

"We'll. Anyways. Last thing she sent me was your friend at your guy's place in the woods. Showing her his comic collection and what not." Clawdeena said.

"We'll Clawdeena. I must say thank you for solving the "Missing San'' mystery. Now I know where he is. I'm going to go find him and have a talk with him about sticking together when plans are already made." Nii thanked as he stood up.

"No problem. Glad I was able to help." Clawdeena replied. Standing up while facing him. "Is it alright if I tag along? I need to meet up with Ghoulia for something."

"I don't mind. The more the merrier I propose." Said Nii, he then realized something. "If I may ask, how do you know my friend is a normie, and can I ask what you are doing on school grounds? I wasn't aware of students being here already."

Giving a smile. "Well. Ghoulia sent me a text saying that your friend said some things. Mostly about monsters being cool and amazing. He did mention along the lines "Oh boy! Oh boy! San is excited to make friends with real monsters! I hope you don't eat me Ms. Zombie as San is human. Or please don't eat my other friends. They are humans too! But anyways! Want to be friends with Ms. Zombie girl! My name is Edward Smith's, but please! Call me San!" Chuckled Clawdeena. She saw the look on Nii's face.

Waving her hand off. "Don't worry, normie boy. I don't hold a grudge against normies. That things happened in the past is in the past. I focus on the now. Anyways. I'm just glad you're not freaking out about me. Which is a good sign." Clawdeena said as Nii smiled. "Also to answer your question. I am here because of decorating and organizing my dorm for this year. I was supposed to meet with Ghoulia for something. She sent me the location to meet up with her. I happen to be passing the field and decided to take some fresh air as it was getting stuffy inside."

"I see. Well. This was unexpected but not unwelcome. Anyways. Good to know we are on good terms. Does this mean we are friends?" He asked, bringing his hand out.

"Yeah. I guess we are." Clawdeena said as she gave a handshake. "Anyways let's head to where Ghoulia and your friend is. Times a wastin."

"Yes. Lets." Nii replied. "Just let me text my other friend. I need to let him know where to meet up."

/With Ichi/

Ichi and Lagoona walked out the front doors of monster high. Ichi got a text from Nii explaining he knows where San is. Seeing the lug is back at home. He decided to head back as he had already seen the place with Lagoona.

During the short time with Lagoona. He found the girl quite cool in his opinion. He found out she is a surfer girl and loves to be in the water. Which is a given since she is a sea type creature. Along with a few hobbies of hers. He quite enjoyed talking to her.

"Hey Ichi. Can I ask you something?" Spoke Lagoona.

"You just did." Ichi chuckled as he got a soft punch in the arm by the girl. "But you can ask again if you wish."

"Smart alec." Giggled Lagoona. "How did you and your friends get a place outside the Monster High Dorms? Is it cause you and your friends are in the special program you told me about with the headmistress?"

"Hmmm. No. Not really." Stated Ichi. "Ms. Bloodgoode did offer us housing in the dorms. But we just refused since we prefer somewhere more spacious."

Pointing his thumb towards the direction of the woods. "Our place is about that direction. It's in the woods in a clearing. About a mile in that direction."

"It's pretty close to New Salem. Since Monster High is located 2 miles or so away the town itself." Lagoona tilted her head. "How did you guys get a home out there?"

"Sorry, I can't really answer that. You will need to earn a few more cookie points for me to answer that." Tease Ichi.

Lagoona pouted but nodded. "Fine. Fair enough."

"Hey Ichi!" A voice called out.

Ichi turned from his spot and saw behind him and Lagoona came a familiar and unfamiliar face.

"Yo Nii. I thought you went ahead already?" Ichi asked. His eyes turned to the wolf girl. But before he can ask. Lagoona rushed in and gave her a hug. The wolf girl returned the hug.

"Lagoona! Ghoulfriend! It's great to see you!" The wolf girl greeted.

"Same Clawdeena!" Lagoona tightened her hug. "How's things been?"

As the two ghouls chatted and caught up with one another. Ichi and Nii turned to each other and had a look.

"You made a new friend aye Sockhead?" Asked Ichi. Observing the wolf girl for details.

"Yes. I did. Her name is Clawdeena." Replied Nii. "Judging from what I can see. You made a new friend too. Which by coincidence is a close friend with Clawdeena."

Nodding his head in agreement. "I guess so. Her name is Lagoona by the way. Nice girl. By the way. She knows about us being "human" and our deal of being here. Not the full detail but enough. She and a couple of her friends aren't judgmental to humans from what I can gather." Ichi said.

"I see. I can say the same thing with Clawdeena. I explained to her on the way over here. She took it well. Can we say the same thing for San? From what Clawdeena told me. Their third friend is with him at our place. He brought her over to show her his comic book collection. Apparently the girl loves comics too. Hopefully he followed our story." Nii whispered the last part.

"Hn" clicking his tongue. " Even with "dad" improvements and vocabulary lessons. He is still an air head. But I can trust him enough to not blow it. Or else I'm beating him when it's time to train." Threatened Ichi.

"Just go easy on him." Nii added.

Ichi nodded as they waited for the two girls to finish.

Lagoona and Clawdeena finished and turned to the boys.

"Ichi, this is one of my best ghoulfriend. She's one of the ones who don't have anything against humans. Her name is Clawdeena." Lagoona chimed.

"Hey there buddy. Nice to meet you!" Clawdeena greeted with fangs grinning.

"I can say the same!" Ichi gave a wave with a smile.

Clawdeena then turned to Nii. "And Nii, this excited dew drop is Lagoona. A cool and amazing best ghoulfriend of mine."

"Hello Nii! Ichi told me some things about you!" Lagoona chirped.

"To you too Lagoona. It's a pleasure to meet you." Nii bowed a bit. "If I may ask. What did Ichi particularly say about me?"

Ichi went rigid a bit. Nii noticed this and gave a sweet smile. But behind the smile promised pain.

"We'll. Ichi told me you guys have known each other since you were kids. Living on your own and being together. Especially how you are the brains of the group. Also being one of the ones he can always count on! Trusting you with his life." Lagoona said.

Nii nodded as he accepted it while Ichi slump into a relaxed state.

"He did say you were kind of a stickler though at times. Being a bookworm, and nerd. Which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Especially how you can nag-" Lagoona was caught off by Ichi clamping her mouth shut by Ichi.

"Hey, come on Lagoona! Quit kidding! I didn't say any of that!" Laughed Ichi with a forced tone.

Nii's eyes twitched as he glared at his friend while Clawdeena giggled at her antics. Clawdeena then noticed something.

"Hey Lagoona~ Why is Ichi wearing your jersey and since when did you get a yellow jacket? Doesn't that look too big on you?" Asked Clawdeena. As she looked between the two.

Nii snapped out of his glare as he looked at Lagoona. "Hey, Ichi. Isn't that your jacket? Why is she wearing it?"

Ichi and Lagoona looked at each other then down to their tops. Then back to their friends. Ichi just had a blank look on his face while Nii raised a wandering eyebrow.

Lagoona's face drained of all color as she saw Clawdeena's eyes. "Clawdeena. Wait. It's not what you think!" A blush crept onto her face as she said it.

"Oh my~ Lagoona you naughty girl you!" Clawdeena stated as she covered her mouth with a giggle.

"I swear Clawdeena! It's not what you think!" Lagoona frantically screeched.

Flash!

"I'm going to show the other girls this!" Clawdeena chimed.

"Clawdeena! Delete that!" Lagoona screeched some more.

Soon Clawdeena was chased after by an angry and embarrassed Lagoona. They ran into the woods. They left behind two confused boys.

"Aye Nii. I'm no rocket scientist so can I ask. What the heck just happened?" Ichi asked to scratch the side of his scalp.

"I don't know Ichi. I do not know. Anyways, why are you wearing that while Lagoona has your jacket?" Asked Nii.

"Lagoona scared me and I jumped into the pool by instinct. I got wet. Since my jacket absorbed too much water I tried drying it. Lagoona offered me her jersey to wear for the time being. We got to know each other. Before we left the pool, which was where we were, she told me she forgot to bring an extra shirt. She didn't want to walk around in her swimsuit. By that time. My jacket got dry enough. Since I was wearing her jersey already. She took and covered herself with a jacket. It was still wet but didn't bother her that much." Ichi examined. "Anyways sockhead. Come on. Let's go catch up to the girls. Just really glad they ran the direction where our home is."

/Sc/

"Wow. You guys have a huge house all the way out here." Stated a slack jaw Clawdeena.

"Ditto mates. That is a huge, yet off, house." Added an equally shocked Lagoona.

After their little problem was solved, both ghouls followed Ichi and Nii through the woods. They all chatted with one another. Not long after they were led to an open field in the woods, about a third the size of a football field. The surrounding area was just thick trees. In the distance they can see the top of the monster high.

The house was located in the middle of the field. True to Lagoona's words, it was quite odd. As it was a dome home. Which none of the two girls have ever seen before. It was 2 stories tall while it had miniature domes attached to both sides. Both being only a single floor. It was white in color. While the top of the roofs where grey. There were windows on the sides of the walls. Equal in space and fixed amount. The door was located at the center of the bigger dome building. A couple meters away from the house on the right side was a smaller dome building.

"I know it's quite odd. But it is home to us." Nii hummed in a happy tone.

"You guys got this how?" Asked Clawdeena.

"Let's just say we know a guy." Chimed Nii.

"Anyways it may not look much but it's very spacious and roomy. The main building has two floors. The top is where our rooms are. Four rooms in total, each with our own bathrooms. One being a guest room. The bottom is where the living room, laundry, and kitchen is. Kitchen more right. That dome near the kitchen is where our food storage is. Near the back is the laundry room. You can see it but there's another dome behind there. Where our generator is along with the storage room. Now the left side of the main building is mostly where the living room is. The stairs to the second floor are located in that area. The smaller dome is our game room. There's also a separate building which is or shed. It's the smaller dome not attached to our home and it keeps our gardening tools along with other things. " Explained Ichi. "It's solar powered too. You can't see the top but we have solar panels up there."

"W-wow. I don't know what to say." Stated Clawdeena.

"Anyways, come on. Let's head in. We'll show you girls around. And for San and your friend. I saw they are in the game room since that's where most of Sans comic books are." Nii said as he motioned for the girls to follow.

The four headed to the house. Once they got to the front door. They can hear laughing and giggling through the door.

"Come girls. Let's head in. I'm wondering what type of person your friend is. And I'm pretty sure you want to meet San." Nii said as smiled at the ghouls.

"While you do that Sockhead." Ichi said as he opened the door. He went in and headed to the kitchen. "I'm making some food for us to eat. You girls prefer anything?" Asked Ichi as he turned towards me.

Nii and the others stood at the front entrance. Clawdeena looked around the inside taking in the look. "Ahh. I'll take whatever." She murmured.

"I prefer something light if you don't mind." Asked Lagoona while looking around.

Ichi sighed. "We'll. I'll make some steak tacos for you Clawdeena. A salad for you then, probably going to add some protein too. Nii. How about you?"

"Just make me the usual." Replied Nii as he ushered the girls to the living room.

"Gotchu. Grilled chicken breast with some brown rice and sautéed cucumbers with mash with gravy. I'll make the usual for San too. I don't know about zombie girls though." Ichi said as he rubbed his chin.

"Ghoulia eats anything honestly. See likes salad with steak at medium cooked though." Chimed in Clawdeena.

"I'll make that then." Ichi smiled as he went into the kitchen.

As Ichi left the room. Clawdeena and Lagoona turned to Nii. The ghouls sat on the couch while Nii fiddled with the tv remote. While standing in front of the TV.

"Ummm Nii, where is Ghoulia and San?" Asked Clawdeena. .

"They are down that hall into the game room. You should knock through. From what I can hear. They have music playing." Nii said as he put on a random channel. "You girls can wander around the bottom floor. The bathroom is past the stair towards the back. Near the laundry room. Anyways. I need to do something. Just remember. The top floor is off limits. Anything else. Enjoy."
