Cbapter 3

A Drastic Turn

Buck walked into the Viridian City Poke Center and observed all the strong looking trainers that were going about their business. Viridian, for many trainers, was the final stopping point before entering the indigo league and taking on the Elite Four. Buck looked forward to the day that he would one day return as a strong and competent trainer, ready to take on Kanto's best.

At the counter, a large man was given his pokemon back, fully healed from their last battle with the Virdian City Gym. He withdrew his main pokemon, and summoned Alakazam out to examine his starter, and favorite teammate.

"Are you ready to take on the Elite 4?" The man asked Alakazam, "We just need to get through Victory Road and then we'll be ready to take on the best...and become the best! All our hard work will pay off."

Alakazam looked at the man, and then down at his waist where all of his pokeballs rested on his belt.

"You know," The man said to a nearby trainer, "They say Alakazam has a genius level IQ and can understand humans perfectly, but I don't really see it."

Without a warning, Alakazam's eyes turned light purple, and the man's poke balls began to levitate in the air, and disconnect from his belt.

"Woah!" The large man said to his pokemon, "Alakazam, what are you doing? Put the poke balls down!"

Ignoring it's trainer, Alakazam summoned all five of the other pokemon from the man's belt. A Rhydon, Pidgeot, Dragonite, Scyther, and Hitmonchan appeared from their pokeballs and looked around, confused as to why they had been summoned. After all the poke balls were empty, Alakazam continued to use telekenesis to reprogram each ball to make a small, but significant change. Instead of the technology being able to contain pokemon energy and essence, it was now programmed to contain human essence. Alakazam sent out a larger mental wave now, impacting the whole poke center. Soon, every single pokeball on every single trainer summoned, and it's ball was instantly reprogrammed at Alakazam's will.

Buck watched in surprise, and fright, as all the pokemon came out of the balls, including Barkley who popped out just as confused as everyone else.

Then, with an order from Alakazam, his five comrades began attacking all the humans. Hitmonchan began pummeling children and adults alike, as Rhydon impaled many with his horn, and Scyther chopped off limbs. Pidgeot created gusts of wind that caused mass confusion and Dragonite roared as he shot hyper beams throughout the center. People fell to their knees hurt and injured, and each of the six pokemon began throwing their own poke balls catching human trainers, and entrapping them in the balls.

Buck and Barkley began to run out the door, but someone's Gyarados appeared and hit them hard onto the ground with his tail. Barkley was spared, but Buck was soon caught in a pokeball.

Mass chaos overtook Viridian City, and then with all the powers of the liberated pokemon combined, they moved from city to city and through all of Kanto freeing pokemon and capturing trainers. They would then force the humans to battle one another, or work for them, or even just serve as pets for the pokemon to enjoy. Thus ended the age of humans, and began the age of Pokemon.
