House of Obituaries:

Nina could only hope that Victor wouldn't find the Ankh.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Nina.

"I'm here make sure that you don't get out of your punishment," said Victor.

"We haven't forgotten our punishment. We only went to change and then we clean the toilet," said Nina.

"Yeah what she said," said Amber

"Good. I give you five minutes and I want to see you downstairs," said Victor.

"Yes, Victor," said Nina and Amber in unison.

"And just to let you, you can't hide anything from me in this house," said Victor

Victor left the room. Nina and Amber looked at each other and were concerned about what Victor just said.

In the meantime, Jerome was still in school. Jerome put his books in his safe and closed his safe. When his safe was closed, he saw the girl he'd been dodging for two days standing suddenly next to him. Jerome was shocked by this.

"Jeez Poppy, don't scare me like that," said Jerome.

"Hello Gerbil," said Poppy.

"Don't call me gerbil, poopy," said Jerome.

"Don't call me Poopy," said Poppy.

"What do you want?" Asked Jerome.

"I want to know why you have been avoiding me for two days straight," said Poppy.

"I haven't been avoiding you," said Jerome.

"Yes you've and you even went so far that you hid in your locker," said Poppy.

"Okay I've been avoiding you and you know why," said Jerome.

"Because of this," said Poppy, while she pulled a large envelope out her bag.

Poppy gave the envelope to Jerome. Jerome opened the envelope and locked at the piece of paper that was in it and he locked embarrassed.

"I thought you said you wouldn't make any copies of this," said Jerome.

"No I said that I wouldn't hand out any of this copies," said Poppy.

What do you want?" Asked Jerome.

"Here is a list of my demands," said Poppy.

Poppy handed Jerome a piece of paper. Jerome looked at the list and he didn't looked too pleased.

"These demands are ridiculous," said Jerome.

"And you have until tomorrow," said Poppy.

"You can't be serious," said Jerome.

"I'm. pleasure doing business with you Clarke," said Poppy.

Poppy walked away and Jerome was not happy about the situation he was in.

Later that day. Nina and Amber were done cleaning the bathrooms and were now back in their own room and the rest of club was also there.

"So why did you girl call this emergency Sibuna club meeting?" Asked Aaron.

"We called this meeting because we've a major problem," said Nina.

"What's it?" Asked Patricia.

"I think Victor knows that the Ankh is here," said Nina.

"What? How possible he had fallen for our decay molten Ankh," said Alfie.

"I know. But somehow must of figured it out," said Nina.

"I just knew this plan wouldn't work," said Fabian.

"It worked at beginning, but he figured it out," said Alfie.

"We underestimated Victor," said Aaron.

"Now what are we going to do?" Asked Amber.

"We need to find a place to hide the Ankh, somewhere where we can keep it save, even when we're in school," said Nina.

"The attic, behind the secret panel," suggested Patricia.

"The secret panel has been demolished, so not is not an option," said Fabian.

"What if we bury it in the woods, like we did with the cylinders," suggested Amber.

"Burying the cylinders was not a good idea in the first place, so that's a no," said Fabian.

"I don't hear you coming up any ideas," said Patricia.

"I'm sorry but I've been busy researching the manuscript," said Fabian.

"Did something else?" Asked Nina.

"Yeah, actually I did," said Fabian.

"What is it?" Asked Nina.

"It's about the elixir and the Ankh and how to become immortal," said Fabian.

"We already know that, you've to drink the elixir form the Ankh," said Amber.

"Yes, it's little bit more complicated than that. You've to follow one more step before drinking the elixir from the Ankh," said Fabian.

"What do you need to do?" Asked Aaron.

"You to undergo a purification ritual," said Fabian.

"I've no idea what that means," said Amber.

"Look in order to become truly immortal you drink the elixir from the cup. But it won't work if you don't have a pure heart," said Fabian.

"So I didn't work for Rufus, because he doesn't a have pure heart," said Nina.

"You can say that again. The only thing pure about him is that he is pure evil," said Patricia.

"So what is this purification ritual exactly?" Asked Aaron.

"You've to brew a potion and if drink it one day before you drink to cup, your heart is pure," said Fabian.

"So basically it erases all the bad things you done from and you get a clean sheet," said Nina.

"Yeah you can all it something like that," said Fabian.

"This that manuscript say how to brew that potion?" Asked Nina.

"Yeah, the recipe is in here," said Fabian.

"We need to get rid of it. Victor is already looking for the Ankh and if that and that recipe then it's all over," said Nina.

"I agree we need to destroy it," said Patricia.

"But I'm not finished reading the manuscript," said Fabian.

"I don't mean the whole manuscript. Just the part about the purification ritual and the recipe for the potion," said Nina.

"You are right," said Fabian.

Fabian carefully ripped out the page about the purification ritual from the manuscript and handed it to Nina.

"What are you gonna do with it?" Asked Amber.

"I think the best thing we can do with is burn, so that no-one can ever recover this page," said Nina.

"Yeah, let's burn it," said Alfie.

"But we can't just throw it in the fireplace tonight, Victor is already suspicious of us," said Aaron.

"Then we do it during lunch tomorrow in the woods at the clearing," said Nina.

"Good idea," said Patricia.

The club was finished with their meeting. But what they didn't know was they were being watched by a man dressed a long black raincoat and a black suit and he was wearing a black hat and a raven mask.

The next day. Almost all the residents were sitting at the table for breakfast. Fabian was reading the newspaper and then saw something that caught his eye.

"Nina look at this," said Fabian.

"What is it?" Asked Nina.

"It's an obituary for Rene Zeldman," said Fabian.

"Rufus," said Nina.

"Why are you guys talking about Rufus?" Asked Patricia.

"Because of this obituary," said Nina.

Nina handed the newspaper the Patricia and Amber, Aaron and Alfie stood next to her to read the obituary.

"Rufus is dead?" Asked Patricia.

"Seems so," said Nina.

"I guess he found out he wasn't immortal the hard way," said Aaron.

"Do you guys mind if I tell Joy. I know she isn't in the club, but she knows about the mystery of the cup and about Rufus. I think she would reassured knowing Rufus is dead," said Patricia.

"Yeah, you should tell her," said Nina.

"Can I tell Jerome?" Asked Alfie.

"Why would you tell Jerome about Rufus. He blackmailed you and he was a spy for Rufus," said Aaron.

"Because he is terrified of Rufus and I'm pretty sure that he still has nightmares about him. So also to reassure Jerome," said Alfie.

"But only about that Rufus is dead and nothing about the Ankh," said Nina.

"I'm just gonna tell him about Rufus and nothing else," said Alfie.

After breakfast, the residents went to school. Mara and Otis walked down the hall and tell Mick to stand by his locker. Mick closed his locker and went to class. Mara saw something that Mick dropped something and Mara picks it up. Mara saw it was a brochure.

"Victoria Academy of Sports? What is that? Asked Otis.

"That is one of the best schools specializing in sports," said Mara.

"And Mick is going there, that's good news, isn't it?" Asked Otis.

"Yes, but the school is Australia," said Mara.

"Does that mean that Mick is leaving?" Asked Otis.

"I don't. He hasn't told me anything," said Mara.

Mara wondered why Mick was keeping this from her. Mara put the brochure in her bag and she and Otis went to class.

The first few hours passed and it was already lunch time. The club went to the clearing in the woods. Nina threw the page into the fire.

"So that's done," said Nina.

"Hey while we're here, I've continued reading the manuscript and found something interesting again," said Fabian.

"You've been reading that thing again? Seriously are you getting any sleep?" Asked Aaron.

"Well I haven't getting much sleep for the past two days now, but it was worth it," said Fabian.

"What did you find Fabian?" Asked Nina.

"Okay so I read last night that Robert Frobisher-Smythe had brought something else from Egypt," said Fabian.

"What is it?" Asked Patricia.

"A piece of a wall," said Fabian.

"A took a piece of wall from Egypt?" Asked Alfie.

"Not just any piece of a wall. This wall tells you how to get to get to the love tomb," said Fabian.

"And where is this wall?" Asked Patricia.

"That manuscript doesn't tell me that. Robert Frobisher-Smythe hid it somewhere in the house," said Fabian.

"Of course it's hidden, other ways people would steal everything that's in the tomb," said Nina.

"Is there any way we can reach this wall?" Asked Aaron.

"Yes, the key to finding the secret wall, is the Cup of Ankh," said Fabian.

"What do we've to do with the Cup?" Asked Nina.

"I don't know yet, the last part of the manuscript is way more complicated," said Fabian.

"Speaking of the Cup. Where is it?" Asked Patricia.

"I've hidden it the secret passageway. Victor doesn't know about that and I'm the only one who can open it," said Nina.

"Smart thinking," said Aaron.

"Okay now that we've discussed all of this, let's go back to school," said Nina.

"Yeah, let's go," said Patricia.

The club put out the fire and headed back to school.

In the meantime. Joy, Fiona and Caitlin used their lunchtime to talk to Ms. Delaney. The three girls walked into Ms. Delaney's classroom and saw her sitting at her desk.

"Hello Ms. Delaney," said Fiona.

"Oh hello girls," said Ms. Delaney.

"How are you doing?" Asked Joy.

"I'm doing fine," said Ms. Delaney.

"That's nice to hear," said Caitlin.

"Is there anything I can do for you girls?" Asked Ms. Delaney.

"Well we had something questions for," said Joy.

"What kind of questions?" Asked Ms. Delaney.

"Oh to get to you know you better," said Fiona.

"That sounds like fun, ask away," said Ms. Delaney.

"Let's start simple, what's your favorite color?" Asked Joy.

"Purple, but to be more specific violet," said Ms. Delaney.

"Okay and your favorite animal?" Asked Fiona.

"Elephants, such beautiful creatures," said Ms. Delaney.

"What are you hobbies?" Asked Caitlin.

"Well I like to read, taking walks threw to woods and bird watching," said Ms. Delaney.

"And what kind of music are you into?" Asked Fiona.

"I like classic music. But I've a weakness for Bruno Mars," said Ms. Delaney.

"And what kind of movies do you like?" Asked Joy.

"Believe it or not, but I love sci-fi movies," said Ms. Delaney.

"For what meal can a person wake you up in the middle of the night?" Asked Caitlin.

"I really love ratatouille," said Ms. Delaney.

"And how would you like to describe your dream man?" Asked Joy.

"Oh, well. He needs be kind. I would also like if he likes to read and nature," said Ms. Delaney.

"So okay and if you find a guy like that, how would like to be your first date to like to be?" Asked Caitlin.

"Well a nice Italian or French restaurant would be nice or a moonlight picknick," said Ms. Delany.

"Okay that were all our questions," said Fiona.

"Okay then. But I've to say that those last two questions were kind of weird, said Ms. Delaney.

"It's just to get you know you better, said Joy.

"Well I hope you girls have an idea of who I'm, said Ms. Delaney.

"Yes now we've," said Caitlin.

"See you girls tomorrow in class," said Ms. Delaney.

"Bye Ms. Delaney, said Fiona.

Joy, Fiona and Caitlin left the classroom.

In the meantime. Jerome was at his locker and Poppy stood next to him. Jerome handed her some stuff.

"What's this? You may as well give me actual peanuts," said Poppy.

"Take it or leave it," said Jerome.

"We agreed. Half your allowance," said Poppy.

"No, you agreed. I did not," said Jerome.

"Hardball it is, then. Prepare to lose," said Poppy

"I refuse to be blackmailed by you anymore. Do your worst," said Jerome.

"Game on Gerbil," said Poppy.

Poppy walked away with a evil smirk on her face. Suddenly somebody tapped on Jerome's shoulder, this startled Jerome. Jerome turned around and saw that it was Alfie.

"Alfie don't do that, you scared me," said Jerome.

"Sorry, I just wanted to talk to you," said Alfie.

"We've barely talked since beginning of the school year. What do you want to talk about?" Asked Jerome.

"It's about Rufus," said Alfie.

"I'm not working with him anymore. That partnership is over," said Jerome.

"I know that. I just wanted to tell you that Rufus Zeno is dead," said Alfie.

"Rufus is dead? How do you know that?" Asked Jerome.

"We saw a obituary in the newspaper for Rene Zeldman and that's Rufus' alias," said Alfie.

"Thanks for telling. Now I won't have to worry that Rufus is coming back to mummify me alive," said Jerome.

Back at the house. Victor was in his office on the phone talking with Mr. Sweet. Both of them had reading the newspaper and found the obituary about Rene Zeldman.

"So Rufus Zeno is really gone then?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"Seems like it," said Victor.

"How is this possible?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"Well according to Ms. Martin something went wrong when Rufus drank from the Cup of Ankh," said Victor.

"At least now we don't have to worry that Rufus is coming back to get his revenge on us or the kids," said Mr. Sweet.

"Yes, perhaps that's the only good news we've got," said Victor.

"Agreed," said Mr. Sweet.

Victor hung up the phone and continued working, but he was interrupted because his phone rang. Victor picked up the phone.

"Victor Rodenmaar speaking," said Victor.

"Hello Victor," said the mysterious man.

"Oh it's you again," said Victor.

"That's not a very nice way to greet someone," said the mysterious man.

"What do you want?" Asked Victor.

"I wanted to talk to you. But not over the phone," said the mysterious man. "Do you know where the old ruins in the woods are?" He asked.

"I know where they are," said Victor.

"Meet me there in an hour and not a minute later," said the mysterious man.

But before Victor could say anything, the mysterious man hung up.

An hour later and Victor was at the old ruins. He looked around to the mysterious man would show up. When Victor turned around he saw a man standing dressed a long black raincoat and a black suit and he was wearing a black hat and a raven mask. Who's this man?
