As Izuku woke up during the second day of his leave he decided to freshen up and go for a jog
Which was followed by a light workout. The gym he was going wasn't anything special since his quirk didn't rely on his strength.
There were actually specific gyms for people with strength enhancement quirks to work out with heavier weights and trainers who were
experienced in that area.
As he was in his way home he couldn't help but wonder that he wasn't exactly a strength type as during most of his time as a hero he had focused more on agility and flexibility.
So would it be wise for him to take All Might's quirk considering that his fighting still wasn't made for this kind of quirk.
Or how was he going to explain the sudden superhuman strength that he was going to gain?
Was it even suita-No he shook his head to get these thoughts out of him.
Yesterday he had gotten a stern scolding from Air Jet which had resulted into him promising not to get caught up in any incidents like that one.
As he realized that he had zoned out mid walk as he saw that he was in front of his apartment.
While both him and his mother were earning enough money that they could buy a good house he didn't want it and Inko Midoriya was a woman of few needs so they had decided that the penthouse was enough for them.
As Izuku got into his residence and found out that he was smelling so he decided that a cold shower was in need.
After a few minutes as he was in the shower he couldn't help but wonder how relaxing this morning was. No villain attacks, No Air Jet scolding him, No hero duties just him living life.
But he knew that It was soon over he had to meet All Might today to talk about his quirk.
As he finshed up his shower and dressed up deciding to wear a slightly worn out silver age shirt that his mother had gotten him during the hero rankings event.
He snorted as he realized that he was going to meet All Might today and he was wearing his merch.
His mother and Air Jet had actually proposed the idea of Dekiru merchandise but he had furnished or since it probably wasn't going to sell well enough.
Only the top 20 heroes had the resources and the popularity needed to pull off the whole merchandise thing. Any other merchandise was only created in very small amounts and was only night by a few people and he didn't want that really. But Air Jet did say that at this rate he was going to break in the too 20's so next year maybe.
As he picked up a light snack in his way he couldn't help but be hit with a wave of nostalgia as he watched the U.A. building pop into sight.
As he walked forwards in his path he saw All Might standing next to the gate in his civilian form.
As he waved to him All Might waved back.
"Good morning All-erm I mean what should I call you in this form considering you probably don't want to reveal you identity" Asked Izuku.
"No problem Midoriya shonen, My full name is Toshinori Yagi but you can call me Yagi san."
"Oh ok then Yagi san can I ask you why did you call us here?" Asked Izuku glancing towards his alma mater.
"Oh yeah, Before you inherit One for all well have to run a few tests in you body."
"Tests?" Asked Izuku confused
"Oh yes, You see One for all is a massive pool of energy, So powerful that if you do not have the suitable body then you might end up losing you arms."
Heading this Izuku winced but nodded in understanding "I guess that's natural since you can level entire cities with just finger flicks."
Hearing Izuku's praise Yagi couldn't hello but blush a bit and laugh "Midoriya shonen you give me to much credit. That was during my prime days, After I got my scar I am far too weak for that."
"So now it's 5 finger flicks?"
"Yeah 5 finger flicks. Anyways none of that.Now we have to hurry up because" As Yagi started streaming he turned into his hero form with a giant smile and huge muscles "I AM HERE TO PERFORM SOME TESTS ON MY SUCCESSOR"
And Izuku swears he just blinked. Not even for 3 whole seconds and still somehow he suddenly found himself infront of what looked like a nurses office.
"You can teleport All Might???" Izuku shouted as it's was the only explaination of how they got there.
"HAHAHAH NONSENSE MIDORIYA SHONEN I JUST CARRIED YOU HERE USING MY OWN TWO HANDS"
"But we were just..I just... what..I knew you were fast but I didn't know you were this fast." Asked Izuku surprised as this was his first time seeing the number 1 hero in action.
"That's what it's is shonen, One for all is a pool of energy that can not only enhance ones strength but can also increase other aspects like speed it durability." All Might explained.
"Yes, But it sure doesn't increase your intelligence you musclehead." Came an old but not frail voice that Izuku recognized immediately.
"Recovery girl, It's been a while nice to see you again Ma'm." Izuku said bowing.
"Oh I remember you aren't you that kid that passed out during the entrance exam after trying to take down the zero pointer." Said Recovery Girl chuckling bit.
" O..oh yeah that was me actually." Says Izuku a bit embarrassed as he rubbed the nape of his neck.
"Well when Toshinori said he had chosen his successor I thought it would have been a hero student but I guess that's not my place to speak"
"Yes, you see Midoriya shonen here actually impressed me yesterday because if his heroic spirit that is why I chose him as my successor."
"Well then come in I'm ready to run the tests" Says recovery girl as she turned around and walked back into the office.
As both him and All Might walked in they saw an array of machines which both of them didn't understand.
"Now dearie take off your shirt and sit on that chair so that we can start the tests."
As Izuku did that All Might shot him a thumbs up as he walked out.
The tests went in for a few minutes after which Izuku was told to put in your shirt back and wait outside.
A few minutes later All Might had joined him into waiting as recovery girl came out with a notepad in her hands as she spoke.
"The test results came and good news his body is fit enough to handle the bare minimum of
One for all. But about his maximum he can only control about 10 percent of it."
"Oh yeah sorry about that. Actually my combat style really hasn't been reliant on physical strenght really, I'm more of a speed type." said Izuku as he sheepishly smiled.
"Do not worry Midoriya shonen, You can increase this limit by working out regularly. Now.." All Might said as he turned towards Midoriya with a serious look in his face as Recovery Girl nodded and left wordlessly
"Follow me."
As he says this All Might wordlessly walked in a random direction as Izuku followed.
After A few minutes
As Izuku stood in the middle of a faux city that was used to take entrance exam it was obvious that Izuku was going to battle someone here.
'Hmm I wonder it's going to be, A zero pointer perhaps, Nah A third year hero student could take down a zero pointer. It has to be something else.'
As Izuku was stretching and warming up he heard heavy footsteps behind him to see All Might.
"As you must have figured out Midoriya shonen You will be fighting somebody here. And that somebody is going to be.."
"Alright bring it then" Izuku shouted hyping himself up for the fight.
"ME" All Might shouted as he pointed to himself.
Hearing this all color drained from Izuku's face as he wished to whatever holy entity that existed that he misheard that.
"Y.youre joking right haha right" As Izuku chuckled nervously he noticed that All Might wasn't joking, And that he was dead.
"There are no jokes Midoriya Shonen you will be fighting me today. The winning condition for you is to land a solid hit on me. If you do so you will win, If you can't do that you lose. Now lets start." As All Might finshed how explanation he realized that Izuku was nowhere to be found in sight as he began searching for him.
With Izuku
'I'm gonna die oh god, Oh god.' As Izuku was panicking he remembered his mentor's words
'Whenever in a pinch, calm down and breathe.'
'Ok calm down, breathe. Ok better, For now I'm hiding so I have the element or surprise on my side, But I can't land a hit only using that. I have the physical strength of twig when compared to him so Close range combat is out of the question, But if I recklessly fire a shot then he'll easily dodge.
I might have to play dirty and hit where his scar is as I'm not strong enough to afford honour right now. But even then it comes with the difficulty of powering up a shot. He said a solid hit which means I have to do some damage to him so I have to prioritize speed. And my other option is to...'
As Izuku took his options and made a plan he started to act on it.
'First find a good location.' He thought as Izuku went to the other side of the city all while acting stealthily as to not attract any attention to himself.
'U.A realistically designs these cities. Where we started was a normal neighborhood. Which means that there must also be a...'
As Izuku was looking around he found an area of the city with the buildings packed way more tightly then the others.
'Perfect now'
As he surveyed the buildings one of them which looked like an apartment complex was decided to be Izuku's main area.
'Now, I know that he's holding back himself a lot because if he wasn't this entire city would have been levelled the second he finished the explanation. Which means he probably won't break the building.'
As Izuku went into the building he found that there was a long hallway present in it.
A few minutes later
'Good now everything's set up let's go'
As Izuku walked to the top of building on its roof he decided to finally draw attention to himself.
As he charged up his quirk and let out a Invisible Shockwave to grab All Mights attention.
As he saw a blur in the street speeding towards him he quickly jumped back into the building.
'Yeah he's definitely holding back or else he would have been here faster than that.'
'Ok calm down. He isn't a god, He's still human, don't worry it'll be alright.'
As he again heard heavy footsteps approaching he took his position.
He was In the apartment with a square lobby and he was standing farthest from the entrance diagonally
(If you are having trouble visualizing it just imagine a square with one of its corners serving as an entrance where All Might is standing and Izuku is standing at the diagonal of that point
where All Might can't see him)
As soon as he heard the footsteps stop he knew that All Might was standing at the entrance.

Knowing this Izuku clapped facing the other direction so that the sound would echo.
As All Might heard this he immediately after walking towards the sound.
Hearing the footsteps again Izuku made his way to where All Might was standing earlier.
As he got there he saw the One for all user with his back turned to him.
Izuku knew that the only advantage he would have over All Might was his wits and stealth.
So he made a plan which took both of his skills into use.
As he pressed his palms together he started to gather air between then and then kept compressing it again and again.
Normally Izuku used to fire these shots as it is and would suffice him.
But this was All Might we are talking about,
His most powerful shot would just barely sting to him. No he needed something better.
*Flashback*
He said a solid hit which means I have to do some damage to him so I have to prioritize speed. And my other option is to turn him into
A fish In a barrel
'Cmon Dammit, Converge,Converge turn into something better, something that can hurt All Might. This won't do, No this is far to weak.'
As Izuku kept gritting his teeth suddenly the air
in - between his palms started taking the shape of something like an arrow.
'Good, It's nowhere complete but It'll have to do now. Now to the most risky part'
Izuku had seen All Might's scar and knew that it wasn't as damaging at the back as it was too the front. So he had to make All Might turn around.
"Hey All Might." Izuku shouted as he pointed his palms to where his scar would be if he turned around not wanting to take any chances with the No.1 hero's speed.
As. soon as All Might turned around he shot the arrow pointing towards his scar.
Finishing Move : Convergence
As he released the arrow it zoomed across the hallway faster than a bullet would creating a shockwave that pushed even Izuku back a good bit as it hit exactly where The No.1 hero's injury was.
As it landed All Might instantly kneeled down and spitted a bit of blood as extreme guilt took over Izuku as he ran towards All Might.
"Oh my god I'm sorry I really didn't want to do that are you okay" Izuku said he crouched down as support to him.
After regaining composure (which took him only a few seconds to his credit) All Might spoke again.
"HAHA MIDORIYA SHONEN YOU TRULY UNDERESTIMATE ME IF YOU THOUGHT I'D BE TAKEN DOWN BY THAT. However I was also underestimating you" Said the booming voice of All Might.
Seeing his Idol stand up and tell him he's fine made Izuku release a relieved sigh.
"I'm sorry All Might that I targeted your scar and ambushed you honestly I'm just so.."As Izuku put his face in good palms in shame he was brought to the brink of tears for doing what he did
"Uhh I'll understand if you don't want to pass One for all to me now. God I'm so hopeless and weak" Izuku groaned trying to blink back the tears in his eyes.
"Nonsense why would I not want to give you One for all now of all the times. You really impressed me with that display of power. Besides you have the heart of a hero why wouldn't I give you One for all."
"What do you mean, I targeted you scar, Where you were injured, I don't think I deserve anything. And you were already holding back a lot. I'm so weak and pathetic."
"Midoriya shonen here look at me."As All Might removed his palms from his face he looked straight into his blue eyes.
"You didn't do anything wrong. Honestly I wasn't even expecting you land one hit even. But you did and there isn't anything wrong, Doing anything to save somebody, going beyond you limits is the embodiment of a hero."
"Yeah but..I still didn't defeat you fair and square, You were holding back."
"Listen here, I chose you as my successor for this power not because you were strong no,I chose you because you were worthy."
"But-" As Izuku was about to argue he was cut off by All Might.
"No but's here follow me."
The next few minutes were spent tailing All Might to a random building's rooftop.
"Do you know Midoriya shonen I myself used to be quirkless back in the day." All Might said as he sat on the edge of the building.
He patted the spot next to him as a gesture for Izuku to sit.
Izuku who was feeling at the reveal that the world's strongest man once used to be powerless regained his composure and sat down.
"One for All a power that has been passed down from many generations. Each user cultivates it and then passes it on to the next one. None of them are chosen on the basis of how strong they are, No. They are chosen in the basis of how heroic they are. And you Midoriya shonen are one of the most he's people I have ever met."
"What" Izuku shouted as he only gaped at him
"That's not true."
"Yes it is Midoriya shonen. Do you remember what you said to me when I thanked you for saving that boy??"
"Yeah" Izuku noded " I did what my heart told me to."
"Exactly that's why I said that you had the heart of a hero." All Might said.
"Wait, But that was just a whim by my side."
Hearing this All Might laughed loudly.
"Shonen, That is what heroes are. Saving people on a whim. An inner feeling to save and help people.If you go by that then I too am a person who lives based on my whims.
That is the heart and mind of a true hero. The unexplained desire and drive to help people. To save people.To be a hero is to act on that whim.
And you Midoriya shonen are a true hero. That's why I declare you worthy of inheriting One for all."
Izuku at this point had broken into tears as he desperately hugged All Might and cried into his shoulder
After a moment he seperated and nodded with fiery determination in his eyes.
"I accept then. I will be the next holder if One for all. I will use it's power to become the world's
Symbol of Peace and Justice."
"Well then now that you have decided to accept my power here" As All might paused he plucked a strand of hair from his hair.
"To accept me power you must
EAT THIS"
Hearing the sudden and strange declaration from his idol Izuku froze up as he tilted his head.
"What??"
"Yes to get one for all you must consume a piece of my dna."
"Ok just I expected you to do some sort of ritual or you know just magically pass on your power to me I guess"
"No, It's not like that. Now eat this."
