Camila walked up to Lilith, slightly hesitant. The only reason she doesn't murder Lilith is because Luz doesn't want them to hold this against her... that and Lilith was Camila's boss, so murdering her wouldn't look so good.

"Hello, Lilith." Camila said, trying to hold back her annoyance.

"Hello, Camila. How is the Isles, esteemed Healing Coven Leader?" Lilith asked.

"Busy. Luz brought home three injured humans that found their way through Eda's portal." Camila said, "I am unsure of what to do with them, but I refuse to let them go back to their parents."

"Was it that bad?" Lilith asked.

"The boy is only two years older than Luz, and he has more scars than skin. The oldest girl, the boys twin, her side is so burnt that it looks like she got into a fight with a dragon. Then... then there's the youngest."

Camila had a look that Lilith had only seen once.

"What is it? Lilith asked.

"S-s-she can't... she can't be any older than Luz. What kind of person would torture a child?" Camila said, "She... she had three ribs that haven't healed correctly, her back has..."

"What, Camila? What does her back have?"

"T-t-they... they... they carved words into her back."

Lilith nearly dropped her staff in shock. Words were carved into a fourteen year old's back? What kind of monster does that? Lilith's made mistakes in her past, but she would never harm a child... at least... intentionally.

"W-w-what kind of humans are their parents?" Lilith asked.

"The worst possible kind." Camila said, "From what I've seen, they would beat their son the most, probably because he volunteered so his sisters wouldn't be hurt, they burned their oldest daughter, and... they probably beat their youngest the hardest. All of this is only a guess, due to me not being able to give them a thorough check, which I intend to do after diner. Speaking of, there is to be no fighting between you and Eda, and if one thing happens to Luz again, I don't care if you're the Emperor or not..." She got close to Lilith, "I will end you. Is that clear?"

"Y-y-yes, Ma'am." Lilith said.

Camila walked out of the room, leaving Lilith as stiff as a statue. Lilith may be the Emperor, but Camila is the most terrifying witch on the Boiling Isles. She jumped a little when Luz spoke.

"Aunt Lily?"

"Y-y-yes, Luz?"

"I just wanted to introduce you to my new friend!" Luz said, excitedly, "This is Amity."

Lilith looked at the young blonde girl, she looked nervous. Lilith supposed that it was normal, she's probably only met adults that hurt her.

"Hello, young one. I am Emperor Lilith, the leader of the Boiling Isles."

Lilith held out a hand towards her. Amity hesitantly shook it and stood behind Luz. Before anyone could say anything else, Camila came back in.

"Diner is ready. Come get it before it gets cold and Eda tries to heat it up with a fire spell... again."

Luz grabbed Amity's hand and walked her to the dining room. Lilith watched her Niece's body language when she was around the Human. It was clear that she was head over heels for the girl, no matter how hard she tried to hide it. It reminded Lilith of Eda when they were in school and Eda tried to deny her crush on Camila. Lilith knew better though; the way Eda would stare at the Healer was enough to prove that she had a massive crush on Camila. Lilith walked into the dining room, hoping that she could at least get a little closer to repairing the relationship with her family. On the other side of BonesBorough, at the Building of Unity, a building that was created to show the history and unity of the Isles and magic, a group of masked witches walked into it with spell circles made and ready to kill.
