Author's note: this story is based on the concept presented by Reptile edge. Read his Eclipsa. queen of blood and darkness for a far better version of this story.Hey everyone, I am reading this just after the last chapter. Sorry for it being short I promise I try to make my chapters a little longer… but I do just enough to make an entertaining story. I will tell you this stories layout is pretty much following three povs: the vampires, star, and marco… and yes I said vampires… a lot of mewmans, monsters, and etc are going to receive the gift of the bite… can you guess who the next vampire will be? We shall see.

Chapter 3: The Blood Moon Awakening

Marco took in a long, deep breath. He focused his mind and will to become one with his fist. Then with immediate snap of his hand meeting the six wooden boards Marco released. He smiled as he saw that all but one of the boards were cut in half.

"Yes!" the human boy pumped his fist in the air. "A new record. I can't wait until I can do ten." the boy had taken to his martial arts training with renewed vigor. He wanted to be stronger so when the next threat inevitably reared it's ugly head… he would be ready.

Marco started his post work out stretching when his phone began to ring. The boy walked to the bed where his cellphone sat on a pillow.

He picked it up and pressed the accept call button. "Heyo, this is Marco."

"hey Marco, it's me Janna" a chill voice responded from the other end. "Me and Jackie are going on a trip to the pier for the blood moon festival. You wanna join us?"

"Sure, I'll meet you there in about ten minutes." Marco changed from his karate gi and dressed himself in his red hoodie and jeans. "Today is gonna be a good day."

The boy opened his door and walked to his living room.

"Now what goes where?" he heard his father ask from the next room.

"I don't know these instructions are impossible to read." his mother replied.

Marco went into the kitchen to investigate and found his parents trying to build a baby crib. Marco was ecstatic to hear that he was going to be a big brother. He was excited that he could have a sister.

"Hey mom, hey dad. Do you need help with that?" Marco offered about to make his way to grab a tool.

"No sweetie, you've already done so much. Why don't you hang out with your friends today?" his mom said looking over the instructions one more time.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to be too stressed. It is bad for the baby." Marco added.

His mother pinched his cheeks and smiled "You are so sweet. Now go play with your friends."

"Okay, bye you guys!" Marco exclaimed running out the door. It was starting to get dark and when Marco had finally reached the pier night had fully claimed the land.

The festival attendants were enjoying their revelry and many different games and events were taking place.

It was then that Marco saw both Janna and Jackie by the pier leaning on the wooden barrister looking up at the blood moon.

The moon caught Marco's eye and it felt strange. Though he guessed that made sense. He did dance under a blood moon with star which was supposed to bond them forever. He guessed that it didn't work due to her once again dating Tom.

"Hey safe kid, are you gonna to join us or just keep standing there staring into the abyss."

"Yeah, Marco come look at the red moon on the dark ocean… it's amazing." Jackie added.

Marco chuckled at the two girls and walked to meet them. "So what's the plan today?"

"Me and Jackie are going use a ouiji board to try and contact the blood moon!" Janna exclaimed pulling out her custom board.

"uh Janna, moon's don't talk." Marco explained.

"I know but this is the blood moon. Rumors say that it is supposed to unlock the magical ability of any who look upon it… I hope I get to be a werewolf." she said jumping up and down.

"I don't know… star's blood moon is magical but I seriously doubt our blood moon is." Marco looked up at the moon again and he felt strange. He remembered the dance with star. The smile on his face grew larger. He then heard humming of a woman… it was calming to say the least.

"Marco?" Jackie asked.

Marco ignored her looking up. He felt strange, he felt stronger… but then he felt tired.

"uh Marco are you okay?" Janna asked.

Her answer came when Marco slipped, falling into her arms.

"Phew, that was close, guess I was more tired then I thought." Marco said happy he didn't fall flat on his face.

"You been trying to break ten boards again? You are going to kill yourself trying to do that." Janna said, worried.

"Yeah, maybe you should head home and get some rest?' Jackie added.

"Yeah, maybe I should." as Marco was about to walk off he could swear he heard the blood moon calling to him. It's siren song sounded like a woman calling his name. "Marco." the voice said in his head.

"I must be more tired then I thought." Marco looked away from the moon and knew it couldn't be talking to him… could it?
