My name is Shinichi Kudo.
Or rather...
My name is Conan Edogawa.
Tantei-san (Detective).
Many of you who are out there may have already known who I am so I may not have a need to repeat my story for the nth time.
But for the sake of those who don't know who I am, I might as well just reintroduce myself in order to not confuse the crowd of readers that might take interest in my side of the story.
For starters, I am a high school detective who attends Teitan High School and a consultant to The Japanese Police Department.
For many years, I have made use of all of my acquired knowledge and skills as a detective since I was just a child in order to solve the various and diverse crimes in my world in order to fight for the truth and to break down all of the lies as if they were, to borrow an old friend's (Touma Kamijou) catchphrase, an illusion.
However...
What most people, including my childhood best friend Ran Mouri, don't know about is that I have a hidden secret that only a few people know.
I am a companion to The Time Lord known as The Doctor.
My second father.
My guardian.
My mentor.
The man who taught me everything that I knew.
To those who admire and revere him, he is known as The Man Who Makes People Better and The Lonely God.
To those who fear him, he is known as The Oncoming Storm and The Destroyer of Worlds.
I was entrusted to him by my parents, Yusaku Kudo and Yukiko Kudo, both of them who are companions of The Doctor themselves, in order to live out and experience a normal childhood while seeing all the wonders that they had seen since they were children.
I travel with him in my spare time and in my free time alongside my four childhood best friends/fellow companions in The Known and Unknown Multiverse.
Touma Kamijou, Kyon, Sota Mizushino, and Lelouch Lamperouge.
Touma Kamijou, The Imagine Breaker, The De Facto Leader among us, the one who leads us, the one who always uses his right hand, The Imagine Breaker, along with his ideals and convictions as he shatters the illusions of others including his very own as he saves everyone with no hesitation, whether they were innocent or guilty, as his dream was to make people of all ages smile. He and I were very close as childhood best friends/fellow companions due to our very similar ideals with regards to the ideals of truth and justice and our desire to save as many people as we could whether they were innocent or guilty. He was the one who taught me the value of a smile. A simple concept that has a multitude of meaning. Something that I eternally grateful for.
Kyon, which is an abbreviation of his actual name, is The Negotiator and The Voice of Reason among us. He was the guardian of a high school girl by the name of Haruhi Suzumiya, who with her god-like power, could warp reality unconsciously just as if it were clay that could be molded easily. Something which alarmed me greatly as I thought that my old best friend/fellow companion really has his work cut out for him as he not only has to deal with Haruhi but he also has to deal with factions from both inside and outside his universe who are interested in her all the while keeping this a secret from her in order for his universe or other neighboring universes in his multiversal cluster from imploding or exploding by accident or by conscious or unconscious decision.
To quote my old best friend's (Touma Kamijou) catchphrase once again as it can definitely apply to Kyon's situation.
Fukou da (Such misfortune).
Sota Mizushino, The Meta-Expert among us. His aspiration was to be a creator who entertains people of all types and ages with their different backgrounds and foregrounds in life as he serves them with happiness and satisfaction alongside his girlfriend, Yuna (Setsuna) Shimazaki, as he learns from his experience in his adventures and misadventures in The TARDIS. I have always found his known and unknown trivia of fiction very interesting as it greatly helped and assisted me in many of our adventures and misadventures in The TARDIS seeing as we kept running into fictional characters from our respective universes every now and then.
Case in Point:
Kamen Yaiba, who happens to be an old friend of my father and The Doctor.
Or my personal favorite.
Sherlock Holmes, who also happens to be an old friend and mentor of my father, seeing as he was the one who taught my father in the art of mystery, and an old friend of The Doctor.
I had the honor of meeting him personally and I learned many things from him ever since as my mentor just like my father before me.
Sota's known and unknown trivia in fiction have also helped me in many of my numerous varied and diverse cases in my own universe that dealt with otaku culture and behavior or whenever I visit places from my universe such as Akihabara which is the centre of modern Japanese popular culture and a major shopping district for video games, anime, manga, electronics and computer-related goods. Icons from popular anime and manga are displayed prominently on the shops in the area, and numerous maid cafés and some arcades are found throughout the district.
Lelouch Lamperouge, or as he was known secretly as Lelouch vi Britannia, or as his identity as the mask vigilante that is known as Zero, is The Master Strategist among us. He is an exiled prince of a fascist empire that was known as The Holy Britannian Empire, for he was from an alternate world where The United States of America never came to be as George Washington never succeeds in The American Revolutionary War and the nation of Britannia took its place in the world as the dominant superpower. This same superpower has conquered multiple nations including Japan and rendered them to the status of numbers. Something that I find absolutely despicable, demeaning, deplorable, and less than human. I have always opposed the ideals of fascism of any form. When I found out about this fascist empire, I could only show my full support to my old best friend/fellow companion as his dream was to topple down that fascist empire and free his world from its tyranny. As I know all too well, that would only mean one thing. Something that is inevitable when it comes to fighting fascism.
War.
And with that comes one other thing.
Death.
I would normally not condone the deaths of anyone, no matter if they were innocent or guilty.
In this case...
I would reluctantly have to make a certain exception to my rule with regards to the guilty.
Considering the suffering that the nations of his Earth had to endure, the suffering that my old best friend/fellow companion and his sister had had to endure, all at the hands of one of the most despicable humans that I had ever heard of.
Emperor Charles zi Britannia.
The equivalent of Adolf Hitler in his universe.
Although I personally would not compare him to Hitler seeing as that is far too generous or far too cruel depending on perspective.
For unlike The Nazi Party, The Holy Britannian Empire at least have some form of civilized behavior and manner, arrogant, bigot, and despot nobles aside.
At least when The Holy Britannian Empire conquered nations left and right, there weren't any concentration camps that were installed for those they designated as numbers.
However, make no mistake as The Holy Britannian Empire would also not hesitate to gun down civilians that aren't Britannian if it seems to benefit them to their advantage.
For what its worth, my old best friend/fellow companion really has his work cut out for him and I can only wish him the best of luck and I would always be available whenever Lelouch would ask me and our other best friends/fellow companions throughout The Known and Unknown Multiverse for help and assistance.
For I and the rest of us would be more than happy to help him with that problem that has plagued his universe for far too long.
We had many great adventures and misadventures throughout The Known and Unknown Multiverse, seeing many wonders, beauties, and divinities.
We met so many countless people from all walks of life throughout the way, with many countless numbers of them becoming our family and friends.
We met so many countless creatures of many varieties and diversities, many countless numbers of them that were not human, who became our family and friends.
We had many fun times and happy times that I would remember quite fondly for the rest of my days even if I were back in my own universe solving the various and diverse cases as part of my job as a high school detective.
But...
There was one inevitable fact regarding The Doctor when you decided to travel with him.
Not everything was sunshine and rainbows.
There were also horrors beyond imagination that we have encountered in The Known and Unknown Multiverse.
Horrors that go bump in the night as it prowls in the darkness in order to stalk its unsuspecting prey.
These countless varied and diverse horrors, my second father had fought countless numbers of times throughout The Meta-Millennia, no matter what face he wears, as he, or she in reference to my second father's first female incarnation, his thirteenth incarnation, try to save as many people as he or she could.
These countless varied and diverse horrors, I and my best friends/fellow companions fought countless numbers of times in our adventures and misadventures as we try to save as many people as we could.
These hardened experiences made me realize that there is a very vast difference between my enemies and The Doctor's enemies.
While my enemies are not to be taken lightly and can have the capability to threaten one person, one place, or the entire world, my second father's enemies are far too different in how they operate.
Far too dangerous.
Far too eldritch.
Far too unpredictable.
Far too unknowable.
Far too ancient.
Far too powerful.
One of these enemies had now made their nefarious presence known in my universe through a front organization that has multiple fronts across the world.
To explain what I mean by that, I'm going to have to talk about my current predicament at the present moment in time.
One day, when I went to A Certain Theme Park (Tropical Land) with my childhood best friend, classmate, and karate champion of our school, Ran Mouri, I witness a suspicious transaction of shady men in black clothes who I had met when I was solving a murder case (Roller Coaster Murder Case) at the same theme park (Tropical Land) that unfortunately happened as I and Ran were just enjoying our ride on the roller coaster.
These shady men belong to a criminal organization that is known as The Black Organization.
The Black Organization (黒の組織 Kuro no Soshiki?) is a secret criminal syndicate with a hidden objective. To achieve that goal, they commit various and diverse crimes throughout the world in order to maintain its secrecy, remove obstacles, and gather funding and resources for its mysterious research projects. The members of the organization in question are usually given code names based on alcoholic beverages although their are many exceptions to the rule seeing as names such as Rose and Spider exist as it can be attested to by my best friend/fellow honorary companion/rival, Kaito Kuroba, or as he is known secretly, Kaito KID. The mysterious head of this organization is Renya Karasuma (烏丸 蓮耶 Karasuma Ren'ya?) who is respectfully called Ano kata (あの方 lit. "That Person"?) by his subordinates in the organization.
What a lot of people don't seem to realize, including the many members of The Black Organization itself, including those who have infiltrated the organization as spies from the various and diverse intelligent agencies such as The FBI, The CIA, The MI6, and many others, is that it is secretly a front organization to an enemy that is a lot more dangerous and a lot more nefarious as it spreads its tentacles everywhere and everywhen in The Known and Unknown Multiverse.
An enemy that myself, my best friends, and our second father had encountered multiple countless times in our travels throughout Space and Time.
The Committee of 300.
The Committee of 300 (300人委員会, 300-nin iinkai), also known as The Illuminati, The Olympians, The Hidden Hand, and various other names, is a secret society with 300 leading members in it multiverse-wide, which for over a Meta-Millennia has plotted multiversal domination, with the goal of a one-multiversal unified government, also known as The Human Cultivation Project or The New World Order.
The Committee has countless front organizations all over The Known and Unknown Multiverse which ensure their complete secrecy in order to control the various and diverse governments from the shadows as the puppet masters who pull the strings. Their nefarious power spreads not only to the politics of all the major and minor political powers of The Lesser/Younger Species, but also towards religion, the economy, science, and military and intelligence agencies, among other countless things to name a few.
One of the main goals of The Committee for my world in particular is to seek to cull the global human population, one of the same goals that they have for the universe of our ally, Rintaro Okabe, into a much smaller number that would be united under one world government.
This was one of the main reasons for why I fight against them, with the help and assistance of my best friends/fellow companions and my second father, with the help and assistance of my best friend/fellow honorary companion/rival, and with the help and assistance of our allies throughout The Known and Unknown Multiverse, in order to stop their nefarious plans from harming the innocent people of my world and countless others.
However...
Something extraordinary had happened to me as I was fighting this Organization under one of its many fronts throughout The Known and Unknown Multiverse.
I was far too busy focusing on what I was watching between a shady business man and a man in black (Vodka) as I begin to take out my recorder in order to get evidence regarding this suspicious deal, so I didn't notice that another man in black (Gin) had came at me from behind as he hit me with a metal rod that sent me towards the ground, with my head bleeding from the impact of the hit from the metal rod, although in hindsight, I probably should have seen this coming seeing as their was only one man in black in my visible line of sight and the fact that I was trained in the many varied and diverse forms of martial arts alongside my childhood best friends/fellow companions but I was too cocky and arrogant for my own good at that point in my life. One of my defects that I had to reigned in as it got me in trouble a fair few times only for The Doctor and my best friends/fellow companions to bail me out and save me, to which I remained eternally grateful.
As I was lying on the ground, the man in black (Gin) who hit me with the metal rod had forced me to take a drug that was known as APTX 4869.
APTX 4869 (四八六九 Yon-Hachi-Roku-Kyū?), nicknamed "Prototype Detective" by members of The Black Organization, is a toxin and derivative of an experimental formula of unknown purpose developed by Shiho Miyano, Codenamed: Sherry, the only woman that I truly loved, which is used by The Black Organization as an untraceable, lethal poison for murder.
When I was fed this poison, all I ever felt was the pain of my insides, as if I was burning hot, as if I was melting, and was not able to breathe properly as I scream from the inside as I went into unconsciousness.
By the time I regained consciousness, I woke up in one of the hospital beds in The TARDIS Medical Bay.
The Doctor and my best friends/fellow companions had managed to take me to safety as quiet as possible and placed me in one of the hospital beds of The TARDIS.
When I woke up, I realized that everything looked completely different as the length and height of the various and diverse objects from The Medical Bay appear to look wrong from my perspective.
The Doctor, in order to break the ice as gently as he could, gave me a mirror in order to see my reflection.
I took the mirror and all I could see was...
Myself.
Young.
No longer a teenager.
But a child who was 6 years old.
Naturally, I was shocked and bewildered as to how did this happened in the first place.
The Doctor had explained to me about this predicament that I was in as gently as he could in order to hammer home to me that now was the time for me to take up the fight against The Black Organization officially as he explained to me and to my best friends/fellow companions the sheer scale that this shady organization that had done this to me was capable of in regards to my world alone. That, and they were actually another front organization to another enemy that we have all been facing and fighting all this time since we were in our elementary and middle school days.
The Committee of 300.
This caused a major alarming, concerning, and grave expression to appear on my face along with the faces of my best friends/fellow companions.
One of our most dangerous enemies is now in my universe.
They have major interests for my world and that they will try to get what they want by any means necessary.
If their front organization, The Black Organization, ever found out that I was still alive, it will bring the people that I love in great and terrible danger which is why The Doctor advise me to hide my real identity, with the cover and the alias of a name, a name that was created after the two famous authors of mystery literature from both the west and the east.
Arthur Conan Doyle and Edogawa Rampo.
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle KStJ DL (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930) was a British writer and physician. He created the character Sherlock Holmes in 1887 for A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and fifty-six short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson. The Sherlock Holmes stories are considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.
Doyle was a prolific writer; other than Holmes stories, his works include fantasy and science fiction stories about Professor Challenger and humorous stories about the Napoleonic soldier Brigadier Gerard, as well as plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction and historical novels. One of Doyle's early short stories, "J. Habakuk Jephson's Statement" (1884), helped to popularise the mystery of the Mary Celeste.
Tarō Hirai (平井 太郎, Hirai Tarō, October 21, 1894 – July 28, 1965), better known by the pseudonym Edogawa Ranpo (江戸川 乱歩), also romanized as Edogawa Rampo, was a Japanese author and critic who played a major role in the development of Japanese mystery fiction. Many of his novels involve the detective hero Kogoro Akechi, who in later books was the leader of a group of boy detectives known as the "Boy Detectives Club" (少年探偵団, Shōnen tantei dan).
Ranpo was an admirer of Western mystery writers, and especially of Edgar Allan Poe. His pen name is a rendering of Poe's name. Other authors who were special influences on him were Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whom he attempted to translate into Japanese during his days as a student at Waseda University, and the Japanese mystery writer Ruikō Kuroiwa.
Very appropriate for myself if I were to be honest.
With that said, I was now about to wear a set of clothes that would become my default trademark in this body that was prepared by The Doctor personally, to his absolute delight and absolute pleasure.
It was a usual outfit which consists of a blue blazer with a single button and a pair of shorts, red trainers and white socks. I also wear a red bowtie, to my second father's eleventh incarnation's delight in the future as he always thought that bowties were always cool, and my father's old glasses. Both of these items were specifically modified by my second father to include many varieties, diversities, and functions such as a voice changer, a microphone, and a homing device, to name a few among countless many in order to aid me in my cases as a detective and in my adventures and misadventures in The TARDIS. The red shoes that I wear have also been modified to harness electric and magnetic fields to stimulate pressure points on both of my feet, greatly enhancing my kicking power which can range from a few meters to several distances to several miles.
I accepted all of these prepared gifts joyfully, gratefully, and with a humble heart as I made a happy expression towards my second father, who in turn gave me his proud paternal expression that I have known for all these wonderful years.
We all went to the home of Professor Hiroshi Agasa, my family friend, next door neighbor, and an old friend and colleague of The Doctor in the scientific community of my universe, and told him as well of the situation that we have just gotten ourselves into.
Naturally, he was shocked at my condition and was a little disbelieving and skeptical at first before I, my best friends, and The Doctor managed to convince him of my actual identity, to which he also advise me to hide my identity in order to protect my love ones, to which I said that I already know that since The Doctor advise me on that particular matter, to his relief and to his embarrassment.
As we were having this delicate conversation, Ran suddenly burst into my house without any warning. Luckily enough, I was wearing my father's glasses at that point so Ran never seemed to recognize me on sight when I'm in my shrunken form as I donned the glasses as if I were Clark Kent, and I actually met the guy, both as him and his other identity.
Superman.
The irony on my disguise was not lost on me and my best friends/fellow companions as Clark would use this same disguise to trick Lois Lane and the other important people in his life in regards to his actual identity. Something that bewildered me and my best friends/fellow companions to no end.
As she came near me with inspecting eyes, she decided to hug me all of a sudden, thinking that I was cute, to my embarrassment and ire, as I saw my best friends/fellow companions from the sidelines trying very hard not to laugh at my predicament if their expressions were anything to go by.
After that embarrassing hug, She asked The Doctor on who I was. The Doctor responded that I was his godson, him being the godfather, and that he has been taking care of me ever since I was little in accordance with the request that my parents had given him, which is actually not that far from the truth and wasn't even lying now that I think about it.
As Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi once said long ago on The Planet Endor to Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.
"So what I have told you was true from a certain point of view."
She begins to asked me my name, to which I responded with the name that would define who I am as a person in the light and dark years to come.
A name that would become famous and infamous not just in my universe but also in the wider multiverse.
A name that could give people the truth.
A name that could give people hope.
Conan Edogawa.
After this special introduction that would define who I am as a person, The Doctor suggested to Ran to take him back home to The Mouri Detective Agency, to which Ran responded by asking a question as to why for she was honestly curious on the matter. The Doctor gave the reason being that he was a little too busy with regards to his work on Interpol for him to take care of him and that he wanted someone that he can trust to keep a close eye on him.
Yes, you all heard it right.
The Doctor wasn't even lying when he was saying this to Ran.
The Doctor is an associate of Interpol in my universe in many of his faces throughout the years and is actually old friends to A Certain Inspector that you would all be very familiar with.
Inspector Koichi Zenigata.
The one who always runs after the most wanted international thief in the whole world.
Lupin The Third.
Due to being given that valid reason while also reassuring Ran that he would constantly visit from time to time in order to check up on me, Ran accepted easily enough and decided to take me back to The Mouri Detective Agency, with Ran taking me by the right hand with her left hand as we walked in the darkness of the night while the crescent shaped moon and the stars were shining brightly as if it signaled hope for myself and my universe even in the midst of the darkness surrounding it.
"Hey, Conan-kun." Ran said in a tone that denotes happiness as she was holding me by the hand. "Conan-kun?"
I couldn't respond for a moment due to the fact that I was thinking about my current predicament as of late in deep silent reflection.
The fact that The Doctor knew that this was going to happen to me and decided to prepare me in advance for what was about to happen was very concerning for myself as I was now about to do the things that he has been doing since a Lifetime of Meta-Millennia.
To save lives.
Whether innocent or guilty.
A great responsibility has now been entrusted to me.
A responsibility that I intend to fulfill to the letter.
Still, I manage to notice Ran calling me as I turn my head upwards to the right as I begin to have a slight embarrassed and curious expression.
"W-What is it, Ran-neechan?"
"Do you have someone that you like, Conan-kun?"
There it was...
That question.
He knew that question would be asked eventually from a mile away if he were to be completely honest due to noticing constantly on how Ran tends to act towards him over the years of being together as childhood friends and classmates.
Despite popular belief, Shinichi Kudo, or rather Conan Edogawa, was not dense.
Being close friends with his best friend's (Touma Kamijou) girlfriend, Rika Furude, would do that to you.
"Eh?"
"You know, isn't there someone at school that you're interested in?"
"N-No, no one like that."
It was true.
I never really did had someone that I truly like or truly love in all the many years of my life.
Even though I noticed that a few girls besides Ran have feelings for me, my female fan club does not count, I never really pursued them.
The reasoning being that it was partly because of the fact that I was far too busy with my detective work and partly because of the fact that I was afraid of such a relationship since I knew deep down to myself that I had made a lot of dangerous enemies over the years due to my work as a detective and my adventures and misadventures in The TARDIS.
Little did I realize back then that in the face of my current predicament, I would eventually meet the woman that I would love most dearly.
The one that I would like to spend my life with for the rest of my days.
This woman was also indirectly responsible for my condition and my predicament.
I never really blamed her for my, to borrow my old friend's (Touma Kamijou) catchphrase once again, misfortunate circumstances if I were to be completely honest.
Considering the fact that her life was very harsh and very cold seeing as she and her entire family were forced to work for The Black Organization and could not do anything on the matter, no matter how hard they tried, without getting themselves and their associates killed.
As if that even mattered in the end, as far as The Black Organization was concerned.
"I have someone."
With that statement, I paid very close attention immediately as I see Ran sporting a happy and loving expression that was shown on her face.
It was at that particular moment when I decided to confirmed my suspicions with regards to who Ran actually likes through the facade of teasing.
"Oh? By any chance... It wouldn't be that 'Shinichi' guy you were just looking for earlier, would it?"
It was an honest question that was covered in the facade of teasing.
Which was responded by an honest answer as Ran turns to look at me with that same happy and loving expression that was shown on her face.
It was at that moment that I knew that my suspicions have just been confirmed.
It was at that moment that I knew that Ran was about to answer something that I have known for quite some time.
An answer that made me feel both happy and sad given the implications and explications of this confession.
"It is."
She confirmed it.
With no hesitation.
She said it straight to my face unknowingly.
One would think that a boy my age would be quite happy and would blush as I would receive this confession from my childhood best friend.
In my case though...
It was very different.
"He's teased me since we were little... Is always so full of himself... And a mystery geek. But when push comes to shove, he's dependable, brave, and so cool! I really like Shinichi!"
Ran turned around and crouch towards my level of height as she holds my right hand.
"But keep that a secret from Shinichi."
My expression was just one of happiness and sadness.
Happiness because I honestly feel very flattered at her confession.
Sadness because I could never return her precious feelings the same way.
For I only see her as a childhood friend who is irreplaceable.
For I only see her as a sister that I never really have.
I didn't know what I could do in this situation.
All I could do was give a nod of assent in order to honor Ran's request of me, despite the fact that it was far too late for that as I have known about her feelings for quite some time now.
"O-Okay."
Then Ran made a brighter and happier expression at my answer, which made me feel even more guilty than I already am at that point.
"Because you're the only one I've told Conan-kun." Ran begins to stand up as we begin our walk once more. "You really can't tell Shinichi!"
"Y-Yeah."
I said in a subtle voice that was full of subtle assent that was tinged with guilt and worry.
I knew that I would have to confront this eventually.
I knew that I was only delaying the inevitable.
I knew that it was only a matter of time before I find out Ran's feelings for me directly through her own lips.
That was something that I would need to deal with constantly as I continue my fight towards the organization that this to me.
The Black Organization.
Them and their hidden puppet masters.
The Committee of 300.
OP Song:
Detective Conan Opening 05 TRUTH ~A Great Detective of Love~
The One Billion Yen Robbery Case
This case that was one of the defining moments in the life of Shinichi Kudo, now Conan Edogawa.
It was the very case that led to him dealing with The Black Organization once again.
It was the very case that allowed him to get to know A Certain Woman (Akemi Miyano) who would become an important person in his life.
Someone that he would very close with.
Someone that would become his sister.
Both in his secret identity and in his close relationship to the woman that he loved.
On A Certain Day in Broad Daylight, Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Kogoro Mouri went to visit A Certain Bank (Four Diamond Bank - Beika Branch) in order for Kogoro to get his money transaction as they waited in line for the many hours that seemed to past in relative time.
Conan was just reading A Certain Manga featuring Kamen Yaiba, a fictional character in his universe and an old friend of his father and The Doctor, with his Turbo Engine Skateboard right beside him, while sitting on the waiting chair along with many countless people from many different backgrounds and foregrounds in life who are in the bank with their own intentions of being there in the waiting line.
As Conan begins to close the manga that he was reading, he spotted A Certain Woman (Akemi Miyano/Masami Hirota) in the counter who was checking her watch on her wrist while looking towards the clock that was placed on the wall that was at her back position.
"That's strange. Why would she check her wristwatch and the clock at the wall at the same time." Conan thought deeply to himself as his eyes slightly widened.
As he was thinking these reflective thoughts however, he was jolted out of his thoughts when a familiar voice was ringing in his ears.
"Sorry, to keep you waiting, Conan-kun."
Conan turns towards his right as he spotted the source of that voice.
It was a young beautiful light-skinned woman of average height. She has big bluish-purple eyes and dark brown hair. Her hair is straight and hip-length, tucked behind her ears with short wavy bangs over her forehead which is the shape of a stylized triangular point. She is slender in frame, yet sports an athletic and curvaceous build plus noticeably well-endowed. She has been noted by other people to greatly resemble her mother in her youth. She wears a red shirt, a black skirt, and black female shoes.
This is Ran Mouri.
The Childhood Friend of Shinichi Kudo, now Conan Edogawa.
She wasn't alone however for she was with someone who is at her left side position.
It was a fairly tall and fit man (especially for the amount of beer he drinks if Conan were to be honest), and is reasonably good-looking. He has high cheekbones, a short mustache, and short black hair. His hair is constantly slicked back with two loose locks hanging across his forehead. He wears a muted blue grey suit and black necktie, with a collared white shirt, with blue pants, and black polished shoes.
This is Kogoro Mouri.
The Father of Ran Mouri.
The Sleeping Kogoro.
"Did the bank transfer for Uncle's detective work came through?" Conan asked.
"Yeah, there was plenty." Kogoro said in a pleased tone as he presented Conan with the bankbook that he was holding in his left hand. "There were lots of high paying requests."
"Great!" Conan said in an honest happy child-like tone. "Then let's stop by somewhere for lunch and head home."
"It's been a long time since I had a mid-day drink!"
"Father." Ran said in order to cut off whatever he had plans on doing with the money that was transacted as she puts her arms around her waist in disapproval. "We're talking about a mid-day meal right now."
"Well, now I need to get a new bankbook." Kogoro said as he went towards the counter.
"Man, what a drunkard. You would think that he would learn by now that his drinking habit is going to be very bad for our income and for his liver in the not too distant future. What makes it even worst is the fact that he has been wasting the money that The Doctor has been giving to him for the past year in order to get drunk with wine and placing bets on horse racing." Conan thought with an exasperated sweatdropped expression that was shown on his face.
"Where's the window?" Kogoro said as he begins to look around for an available counter.
He spotted one were A Certain Woman (Akemi Miyano/Masami Hirota) was stationed, who was still checking her wristwatch just like before.
"Sexy." Kogoro said in a pleased tone for spotting a beautiful woman once again for the nth time. "Miss."
The woman turned towards Kogoro with a slightly surprised and attentive expression. "Y-Yes?"
"Could I trouble you to exchange this bankbook for a new one?" Kogoro said as he leans towards the counter while presenting his bankbook.
"I'm very sorry, sir." The woman said in a professional tone as she turns towards the box that has the number tickets of the waiting line. "Please take a number ticket over there, And be seated, and wait for your turn."
Kogoro laugh heartily at that as he raised his right hand to his head while having a sweatdropped embarassed expression that he was sporting on his face.
"Oh yeah, I have to wait my turn, don't I?"
"Yes." The woman nodded professionally.
Kogoro continued to laugh heartily as he made a subtle look of flirtation towards her.
"I shall return shortly. Ticket. Ticket."
Kogoro went away towards the counter.
The woman was still checking her wristwatch once more.
Something that seemed to be a little suspicious to Conan as he noticed how she has been checking the clock for the past few hours lately while he was sitting on the waiting chair reading A Certain Manga.
"Hey, Onee-san."
The woman turned towards Conan, with both of his arms raised to his head, who was at the counter with a childlike demeanor.
"Ah! Conan-kun!"
"Is something wrong? You've been looking at your watch a lot recently."
"Ah, it's pretty busy right now. I was thinking I'd better eat lunch now while I can. See you later, Conan-kun."
The woman said as she placed an on leave sign towards the counter while leaving it unattended for the time being as she went towards A Certain Direction to the left of Conan's view, with Conan never taking his eyes off of her for one single second.
Ran was crouching down with her back towards Conan as she begins to ask a question to him.
"Do you know her, Conan-kun?"
"Yeah, her name is Hirota Masami-san. She just started working here at this bank a little while ago. I always thought that she was a kind person..."
"Hmm..."
"HAAAAH!" Kogoro said in despair while holding his waiting ticket with his left hand as the woman known as Hirota Masami is no longer present which was noticed by both Conan and Ran. "N-Not there. The young lady's not there. It can't be."
Both Ran and Conan had exasperated expressions on their faces.
"Seriously, uncle. Again. You might as well just be given a signboard on your forehead that says Brock two-point-o." Conan thought in exasperation as he remembers one of his old friends from The Pokemon Verse while turning towards Ran.
"Ran-neechan, this is taking too long. Can I wait outside?"
"Yeah." Ran nodded in assent. "Watch out for cars though, OK?"
And so, Conan went outside, with his Turbo Engine Skateboard that he was carrying in his right arm, as the doors of the bank begin to automatically open.
While beginning his walk in the sidewalk towards his right viewpoint, he notices a strange noise from the background, which makes him look for the source of the noise's direction. As he was looking around, he spotted a sign from his upward direction.
Four Diamonds Bank - Beika Branch
Private Parking Lot
Please refrain from parking unless you have official business with our bank
"The bank parking lot." Conan reflectively thought as he looked slightly towards his left. "What was that noise just now?"
All of a sudden, he heard a silencer being shot as the sounds of the windows breaking were just heard.
He walk faster towards the parking lot, reaching his destination as he begins to hide around the corner of a car that was parked. He begins to witness something shady going down.
"An armored robbery!" Conan gravely thought as his eyes widened slightly as he begins to analyze the scene that was right before him.
"Two criminals. One has a shotgun. It looks like the other one has a pistol. But where are the other guards?"
Conan begins to look for the missing guards.
He spotted them in his right side viewpoint.
Both of them were lying towards the ground unconscious.
"Are they dead?" Conan gravely thought in concern. "I can't tell from all the way out here. I'm going to have to get in closer in order to find out for myself."
"Conan-kun?"
Conan turned towards his right side direction in surprise, with the criminals stopping what they were doing as they were turning towards his direction in surprise due to the sudden voice.
"What are you doing standing there?" Ran said in a curious tone.
"Come on, we're going home." Kogoro said.
"Eh! Ah!" Conan said incoherently as he wanted to tell them of what he had just found out in the parking lot.

Initial D - Space Boy
It was far too late however when he begins to hear a sound that is coming from the parking lot.
"Help! Robbers!" One of the guards said as he was waving his hands for help.
He turns around and notices that the robbers are now escaping in a vehicle.
It was a white 1996 Mazda Demio (Mazda 121).
It was coming slightly from their direction.
Luckily enough, they managed to dodge it.
But it still doesn't change the fact that they are now about to escape with the stolen money from the bank.
"W-What was with that car just now?" Kogoro said with concern.
"They're bank robbers!" Conan said in response.
"What?!"
"Ran-neechan, call the police!" Conan said as he begins to run after the escaping vehicle with his Turbo Engine Skateboard.
"Wait, Conan-kun!" Ran said as she raised her left hand in worry.
"I saw two injured people by the armored car, call an ambulance too!" Conan said lastly as he was now driving his Turbo Engine Skateboard in hot pursuit.
Kogoro and Ran turned towards each other.
"Ran, for now, alert the bank. I'll look after the injured people."
Ran nodded resolutely as she and Kogoro went to their respective tasks.
Conan was now driving his Turbo Engine Skateboard as he was swerving through the busy streets of Beika, in hot pursuit of the escaping robbers.
"Damn it! What speed! The driver appears to have professional racing skills. No matter. I'll follow you to the end of this race if I have too." Conan gravely thought in sudden alarm and in sudden resolve as he begins to recall A Certain Universe (Initial D Verse) that has multiple professional racers who were all driving in the mountain regions of Japan, all the while remembering A Certain Racer (Takumi Fujiwara) that he and his best friends/fellow companions were old friends with.
Takumi Fujiwara (藤原 拓海 Fujiwara Takumi)
He acts as the delivery boy for his father's tofu business, driving his father's Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86) up to the top of the mountain every morning to deliver tofu to the hotels for the day. After defeating Keisuke Takahashi in an impromptu battle, he was nicknamed the "White Ghost of Akina" and began racing on his own, occasionally representing the Akina SpeedStars in battle. He was eventually invited to join Project D as their downhill ace.
While Conan was pursuing the vehicle as he swerve past all of the automobiles from his direction, a warning alarm from the train tracks appeared to be sounding, as the vehicle and Conan made a gradual left turn.
"There we go! The railroad crossing! All right!" Conan thought confidently before noticing the vehicle suddenly turning right. "What?! They're breaking through on the right side of the road!"
The escaping vehicle bumped into a pole as it broke from the impact.
"Damn it! I won't let you get away!"
Conan begins to activate the turbo thrusters of his Turbo Engine Skateboard as he drives straight ahead with no sign of stopping, intending to catch the escaping robbers, with an oncoming train that was heading at the right side of his direction.
With his Turbo Engine Skateboard, Conan begins to make the graceful forward move position, as he manages to dodge the oncoming train that was in his right position viewpoint, and manages to land his Turbo Engine Skateboard gracefully towards the asphalt road without falling towards the ground.
However...
He begins to noticed immediately that the vehicle was no longer in his sights.
"Damn! They got away." Conan gravely thought.

After this rather unfortunate incident, the police had now arrived at the bank in order to conduct an investigation regarding the robbery in question.
"EHHHHH!" Kogoro shouted in shock as he said with his two hands raised. "They got o-one billion yen?!"
"Yes." Inspector Juzo Megure confirmed. "It seems that someone leaked the information that it was to be distributed to the other banks from the main branch."
"One billion..."
"Conan-kun." Megure turned towards Conan. "You're sure about the culprit's license plate number that you told me before?"
"Yeah." Conan confirmed. "I'm sure."
Megure puts his right hand towards his chin as he begins to expressed his thoughts on the matter.
"There were two culprits, one with a shotgun and one with a pistol." Megure begins to turn to his right were the injured guards and the guard who called for help were located as they were being interviewed by one of the police detectives. "Well, the guard's wounds were minor, so that's good."
"The armored car disappeared." Said the guard who called for help earlier. "And we had the money ready. When suddenly... There was no response from the driver's seat. So I thought that they must have been killed. I couldn't do anything with the doors locked."
Conan looked towards the guard with subtle suspicion.
"That's weird, I'm sure that at the time... when I heard the gunshot and the glass breaking, I went straight to the entrance of the parking lot, And peered around inside. By then they were already transferring the money. There wouldn't have been enough time to call the driver's seat at that point."
"You understand don't you, detective?" The guard said in a scared tone. "There was nothing that I could do."
"Hey, Mister."
The guard and the detective turned towards Conan who has his both of his hands near his head.
"You were really lucky, weren't you?"
"Eh, What do you mean?" Said the guard as he looks down towards Conan.
"Because both of the windows of the armored car have smoked glass so you can't really see through it right?"
"Yeah."
"The robbers couldn't see through the windows when they shot at you. They didn't even hit you. And the bullet didn't ricochet inside the compartment. You were really lucky." Conan said the last part with a knowing expression accompanied with a knowing smile on his face before continuing in childlike demeanor. "Like they somehow knew beforehand where the bags would be placed. Right?"
The guard begins to panic internally at the subtle deduction that was just given in a childlike tone.
"What kind of silly talk is this?"
Conan turns to his back to the guard, with a knowing expression accompanied with a knowing smile beginning to change into a grave one.
"Still, that isn't the only possible deduction. But still..."
"Hirota-kun!"
Conan notices the voice as he turns towards the direction were the voice sounded.
He spotted a man with bald hair asking A Certain Woman (Akemi Miyano/Masami Hirota) on where she was when the robbery was going down.
"Where did you go at a critical time like this?"
"I'm sorry. I went out for lunch hour."
"Geez, young women these days... What time do you think it was? Isn't your watch working?"
Conan was watching the woman with a serious and concerned expression.
"There's one more possibility."
While he was thinking this, Detective Takagi entered the bank through the stairway as he ran towards Inspector Megure.
"Megure-keibu!"
"What is it, Takagi-kun?" Megure asked as he, Kogoro, and Ran turned towards his subordinate.
"I just got a report that a car matching the description of the getaway vehicle has been found."
"What?!" Megure reacted. "Well, where is it?"
Takagi pulled out his police notebook.
"On the bank of The Temuzu River, next to the TR line bridge."
"Ok, I'll head over there immediately." Megure turned towards Kogoro. "You come too, Mouri-kun."
"I understand." Kogoro said in assent, with Megure leaving towards the stairway, as Kogoro turned towards Ran. "Ran, you take Conan and go home ahead of me."
"Hmm." Ran nodded in assent.
Kogoro runs towards the stairway alongside Takagi who follows soon after as he closes the door shut.
"Well, shall we go home?" Ran turns to her right, thinking that Conan was right beside her.
But...
Conan is no longer in the vicinity.
"Eh? Conan-kun? Conan-kun?" Ran said as she turned her face in multiple directions in order to find him, to no avail.
"Geez." Ran said in light exasperation and concern as she continued. "He disappeared again."
Meanwhile, on The Temuzu River, many police officers have gathered near the abandoned car that was located on the bridge in order to get any evidence regarding the robbers in question.
"Tome-san, how does it look?" Megure said as he, Kogoro, and Takagi walked towards him.
"Ah, Inspector Megure." Officer Tome said. "Just a rough look so far, but it seems any fingerprints were wiped clean."
"What else is there?" Inspector Megure asked.
"Well, also, in the back of the car." Tome and the others turns towards the back of the car. "There are five cases, but they're empty." Before turning back to each other. "There's zero fingerprints on those too. And then..." Tome turned towards his fellow officer. "Hey, bring those things from before!" Before turning back towards Inspector Megure. "These were just lying on the driver's seat." The officer that was called earlier had given Tome something. "Ah! thank you. Here they are."
Megure and the others looked towards the evidence that that was in the plastic bags as it was being held by Tome with his own two hands.
Megure takes the both of them with his two hands.
"What do we have here?" Megure said.
"A mask and a set of gloves." Kogoro said.
"Yeah, it looks like we can get the prints from them. Oh!"
Tome and the others begins to notice someone from his downward position.
"Oh, boy, you came too." Tome said with a pleased and welcoming tone.
"Boy?" Kogoro said as he and the others begin to turn around.
"Hello, Tome-san."
"Hey!" Kogoro shouted near Conan's right ear. "I told you to go home with Ran, didn't I?"
"M-More importantly, there's something on the inside of the mask."
"Huh." Kogoro looks back towards the mask in question.
"Inside of the mask?" Megure said while holding the mask in his left hand while beginning to notice something inside of the mask. "What is this pink-colored thing?"
"That pink color is surely... But why? All right." Conan gravely thought before making an action of resolve as he ran to get the mask that was in the plastic.
"Let me borrow that!" Conan grabbed it while beginning to examine the mask in question along with the lipstick mark as he sniff it with his nose.
"Just as I thought..." Conan gravely thought.
While this was happening, Kogoro was about to hit Conan in the head with his right fist out of annoyance for Conan butting into the affairs of the police once again due to being a kid.
In The Original Timeline, it would have happened.
But...
This was not The Original Timeline.
As Kogoro was about to hit Conan with his right fist, suddenly a hand that was as fast as lightning came out of nowhere in order to block it.
"Eh!" Kogoro said in surprise.
"Let the boy do his work in peace, Mouri-tantei."
Kogoro had shivers run down his spine as he turned towards the source of the voice that denotes seriousness and displeasure.
It was the voice of a man with brown ancient eyes, with brown hair, who wore a dark brown suit with a Duster type overcoat which is accompanied with a dark brown tie, plain white shirt, olive brown t-shirt, and with Converse All Stars as his footwear.
This is The Doctor.
Or as he is known to the public in this universe.
Dr. John Smith.
He was wearing an expression that was very serious and was full of displeasure.
"And I would really appreciate it if you would not hit my godson all the time." The Doctor said in a sharp pointed tone towards Kogoro.
Kogoro begins to pale as he recognized the man who was standing before him.
"D-D-Doctor Smith?! Wh-Wh-What are you doing here?"
"Eh!"
Conan said as he recognized that name from anywhere. He turns to look at his back and sees The Doctor standing there, with his right hand holding Kogoro's right fist, with The Doctor's expression sporting a happy paternal expression that was directed towards him.
"Hello, Conan."
"Doctor!"
Conan said in a happy and excited tone as he made his way towards The Doctor in a hug, with The Doctor accepting said hug with paternal gladness in his old ancient hearts.
"Oh!" Megure said excitedly. "Dr. Smith. What brings you here of all places?"
"Oh! I was just passing by, Megure-keibu." The Doctor said rather chirpily, letting Kogoro's fist go as he turns towards Megure. "I was just doing my morning walk as usual when I begin to notice that there were police officers all over the place so I decided to come and check for myself, and to my surprise (read: not really surprised), I found you lot. It was almost as if it were fate don't you think?"
The Doctor said the last part with subtlety as he looked towards Conan, who took noticed of the wording of the tone.
Thus this case began as a simple burglary investigation.
But, this was not a normal robbery.
The premonition that Conan had before would come to pass.
Since The Doctor has now come into the scene, things have now become far more grave.
Since The Doctor has now come into the scene, things have now become far more serious.
Since The Doctor has now come into the scene, things have now become far more personal.
Because whenever The Doctor is in town, he is there to cure something.
Or someone.
On A Certain Night, there was constant raining pouring down throughout the entire neighborhood of Beika.
On that very night, something unfortunate had just happened.
Two of the bank robbers ended up getting killed as expected or unexpected depending on perspective due to Certain Circumstances.
The names of the two robbers is as follows.
1.) Kishi - the guard who called for help - Cause of death: Four gunshot wounds on chest
2.) Shiro Kaizuka - Cause of death: Gunshot wound on the chest
These people were killed by none other than the two most infamous members in The Black Organization.
Gin and Vodka.
The same members who are responsible for Conan's shrunken condition.
It would appear as if The Black Organization is now officially making its move in order to sort out and tie up any loose ends.
But...
They are not the only ones making a move at this Certain Night.
For A Certain Time Lord (The Doctor) has been keeping a very close watch from the background, planning for the very day when the last robber, Masami Hirota, or rather, Akemi Miyano, would be officially terminated without prejudiced as The Black Organization has deemed her a liability for their nefarious operations.
For he has A Certain Plan ("Keikaku") that has been built inside his complicated ancient mind that has multiple contingencies in the making.
For he has the full intention of sparing Akemi Miyano from her doomed fate in The Original Timeline.
This he promised in his Name.
Meanwhile, inside The TARDIS, The Doctor and Conan were discussing a grave matter of importance that had just transpired most recently last night at the console room of The TARDIS.
"Eh! One of the robbers from yesterday was killed?!" Conan asked in a serious tone for confirmation.
"Yes, Shinichi." The Doctor sadly confirmed. "His name was Kaizuka Shirou. According to recent evidence, he was once a former racer. He was shot in his home just recently last night."
"Former racer?! No wonder he drove so fast when I tried to catch him. But how exactly did the police found out that he was the criminal?"
The Doctor begins his explanation.
"In the room that Kaizuka Shirou was renting, they found a rough sketch of the bank and the memo with the time of the robbery and the escape route that was written. What's more is that someone else was killed with the same gun that was used last night."
"Eh!" Conan said in shock and surprise.
"One of the guards in The Four Diamonds Bank, Kishi."
"I knew it." Conan gravely thought while saying in a grave tone. "So I was right all along. He was definitely an accomplice."
"Yes, Shinichi." The Doctor nodded in confirmation. "Kishi liked to gamble a lot in his free time and as a result, he ran up in a huge number of debts. Like you suspected, he probably pretended to be frightened in order to throw the police off from further suspicion and his duty in particular with regards to the robbery was to open the armored car doors from the inside. Since the armored car couldn't be opened from the outside."
"If that were the case, Doctor, both uncle, the inspector, and the rest of the police officers would probably suspect that the other remaining criminal was responsible for the death of those two."
"Yes, Shinichi, that would have been their most likely conclusion. Then there's the fact that they have all concluded that the remaining criminal in question just so happens to be a woman since the police found pink lipstick at the floor of Kaizuka's room."
Conan narrowed his eyes at that as he said in a grave tone.
"Lipstick?"
The Doctor nodded gravely.
"Surely, you can see where I am going with this, Shinichi?"
"That the lipstick belongs to the bank teller, Hirota Masami-san. Right?"
"Right." The Doctor nodded in grave assent. "It was the same lipstick that Masami uses according to the co-workers who were interviewed by the detectives. They also claimed that Masami herself had said that she intended to go out for lunch at that point in time of the robbery, but instead, she must have gone out into the back and joined Kaizuka in committing the crime. At this point in time, she has already left the bank and walked out at this very moment of the morning which is very odd in my opinion considering the fact that she only started working at the bank only a half a year ago according to the official documents."
"There's still something missing about this though ,Doctor." Conan said as he raises his right hand to his chin in deep thought. "It would conclude that Masami-san took the job in order to commit the crime considering that its natural to think about it for some people. However..." Conan made a grave expression. "Something still doesn't seem to be right about this and it doesn't really add up. Would she really just drop her lipstick so carelessly at the scene of the crime? A culprit who staked a bank for half a year. Then there's the fact that the lipstick mark that was found on the mask is in the wrong position. If she really did wore it, that position wouldn't be on her lips but rather on her chin. Then there's also the fact that if she really did wore the mask, there should've been the smell of cosmetics, but there wasn't. So it wouldn't have made any sense. Unless..."
Conan wore a grave serious expression as he turned towards The Doctor, who also sported the same grave serious expression. Conan continued with his deduction in a grave tone.
"Unless someone else wore it in order to frame her for the entire crime."
The Doctor made a grave nod. "Yes, Shinichi. She was framed."
"By who, Doctor?" Conan asked as he noticed that subtle grave tone from The Doctor's voice.
The Doctor begins to reveal the actual culprit.
"The Black Organization."
"(gasp)" Conan made a surprised gasp that was filled with the expression of dread as the name of his most dangerous enemy was just mentioned which made him realized that the situation has become far more serious. "The Black Organization! But why..."
The Doctor begins to explain.
"Because Hirota Masami is actually connected with them."
"What!" Conan said as he begins to ask on why this was so. "Connected how, Doctor?!"
The Doctor begins to explain Masami Hirota, or rather, Akemi Miyano, situation in a grave serious tone.
"The young woman, Hirota Masami, or I should call her by her actual name, Miyano Akemi, along with her family, has lived a very hard and cold life due to her parents, Miyano Elena and Miyano Atsushi, being associated with The Black Organization, although not by their own free will seeing as how you and I both know how The Black Organization operates and forces people to do things that they wouldn't normally do. As a matter of fact, her parents were actually very old friends of Professor Agasa and myself in the scientific community of this universe."
"Wait, what?!" Conan said with a surprised expression. "You and Hakase (Professor) were friends with them?!"
"Yes, Shinichi." The Doctor said as he begins to have a melancholic and fond expression. "Akemi's father, Miyano Atsushi, was a, quote on quote, "mad scientist", who was very unpopular in the scientific community because his work and theories were unorthodox and were not mainstream. Very unfortunate if I were to be completely honest as I find his work and theories absolutely brilliant. I and Agasa were old friends of Atsushi and had met him and his wife, Miyano Elena, at academic conferences. I was in my eighth incarnation back then when I first met them. They were very nice and brilliant people, Conan. Two of the brightest scientist in the world. I would remember fondly all of the times when Atsushi would usually compliment Agasa on his brilliant inventions."
"I... wouldn't exactly call it brilliant, Doctor." Conan said as he made a sweatdropped expression as he remembers all of Professor Agasa's many epic failed inventions that have caused a lot of humorous and, to borrow an old friend's (Touma Kamijou) catchphrase once again, misfortunate situations among himself and his best friends/fellow companions.
"Now, now, Shinichi. Be nice." The Doctor said in a good humored tone before continuing his explanation. "In any case, according to the official story, Miyano Atsushi moved out of his father's house in Kōenji at least thirty years ago in order to go somewhere for his research; he had found someone to sponsor his theory, and was moving to join a large research facility."
"Someone?!" Conan said as his eyes begin to narrow. "Does this someone by any chance..."
"Yes, Conan." The Doctor confirmed. "The Black Organization. They wanted Atsushi and Elena for their research regarding APTX 4869 and Silver Bullet, which was a project that has stretched for at least fifty years in your time, in order to use it for many nefarious reasons such as committing murder by stealth and in order to further one of their researches with regards to the subject of immortality."
"Immortality?!" Conan said in sudden alarm as he begins to remember A Certain Problem that his old best friend/rival (Kaito Kuroba) has been dealing with for the past 2 years. "Does this have anything to do with Pandora by any chance?!"
"Well..." The Doctor made a grave expression. "It's somewhat connected, Shinichi. You see, as you, Touma, Kyon, Sota, and Lelouch would know by now, their are many different types of immortality in The Known and Unknown Multiverse that are being researched extensively by The Committee of 300. The SCP Foundation has been going through pain staking effort to contain these different types of immortality in fear that it could be used for nefarious purposes and would disrupt The Natural Order. The jewel Pandora, APTX 4869, and Silver Bullet being one among countless many."
Conan made a grave expression that was plastered on his face.
"Something tells me that the parents of Akemi-san didn't have much choice on the matter do they seeing as The Committee of 300 is involved?"
The Doctor nodded gravely.
"Yes, Shinichi, which was why Atsushi and Elena were terminated without prejudice once their usefulness was at an end."
"What!" Conan said alarmingly.
"Or at least..." The Doctor sports a knowing expression of ancient humor. "That's what the official story happened."
Conan begins the expression that The Doctor was making as he begins to realize that The Doctor must have done something with regards to the safety of Atsushi and Elena Miyano.
"You did something, didn't you." Conan said in knowing relieved tone.
"Oh, yes!" The Doctor said with a winning smile. "The Black Organization wanted Atsushi and Elena out of the picture by 'accidentally' starting a fire in one of their labs as a way to get rid of them. Luckily enough, I managed to intervene on the matter and get the both of them to safety. However..."
The Doctor begins to have a remorseful expression.
"I couldn't really do anything with regards to their daughters."
"Daughters?!" Conan said while beginning to think of the implications and explications of the word. After a few seconds, he realizes on what The Doctor was trying to tell him. "Don't tell me... Akemi isn't the only daughter that they have when they were working for The Black Organization."
"Yes, Shinichi." The Doctor nodded gravely. "Which brings us back to the present moment seeing as Akemi's reasons for participating in the bank heist is actually to free her sister, Miyano Shiho, or soon to be known in the future as, Haibara Ai, due to the fact that she managed to escape The Black Organization by using the same drug that was used on you. Although..."
The Doctor made a grave expression that was on his face which denotes to Conan that something went completely wrong in the future and that it had something to do with Akemi.
"Something happened to Akemi-san in the future. Right?" Conan said in a grave sad tone while having a grave sad expression that was on his face.
The Doctor nodded gravely.
"Yes, Shinichi. At this point in the timeline, she is about to meet Gin and Vodka at one of the warehouses at The Port of Tokyo in order to discuss about her sister and for her to remind them to honor their part of the deal. Naturally, Gin and Vodka didn't honored the deal, with Gin shooting Akemi in the process. By the time you arrived at the warehouse, it was already too late to save her as she was bleeding heavily from her gunshot wound. It was also at that painful moment where she managed to tell you a little information about The Black Organization and with you revealing your own identity seeing as she was about to die and that you considered that she at least deserved the truth in your own opinion."
Conan became greatly saddened at that information that was just given to him.
He failed to save a person.
In the not too distant future.
The same helpess feeling that he had felt had just returned in full force.
The same helpless feeling when he tried to save Seiji Asoh.
It was at that very moment that Conan made a pleading expression to The Doctor.
"Doctor, is there anything we can do to save her."
The Doctor softened his ancient eyes that responded in the affirmative which eased Conan considerably.
"Yes, Shinichi. There is a way which is why you must do exactly as I say. Exactly. For we only have one shot in this."
Conan nodded resolutely and firmly.
And so, A Certain Time Lord (The Doctor) and A Certain Detective (Shinichi/Conan) begin to make a delicate plan that could save the life of Akemi Miyano, or as she will be known in the new created timeline, Hanako Edogawa, in order to change her fate for the better.
A domino effect is about to occur.
One that could determine the lives of many.
For The Story of The Heisei Holmes is about to be derailed once again.
On A Certain Afternoon, when the sun appears to be setting on the horizon, somewhere in one of the many warehouses in The Port of Tokyo, a vibrant red 1994 Ford Mustang (fourth generation) was seen stopping from the front of the warehouse.
There came out from the car, a young woman who wore a formal attire that is composed of a white shirt, brown undershirt, green scarf, gray white skirt, and black heels.
This is Akemi Miyano.
She was checking for her brown hand bag as she revealed a gun that was inside.
The M1911, also known as the Colt 1911, or the Colt Government.
She begins walking inside the almost darkened warehouse, with a few holes from the rooftop in order for the light of the sun to get through the darkened surroundings, as she waited for the expected company to arrive.
She begins to say in a loud voice that has echoed throughout the warehouse.
"Where are you? Come out!"
"Good job."
She begins to turn around as she spotted two men in black suits that were waiting for her.
The first person was a tall, thin man of uncertain age. His most noticeable feature is his long silver hair that goes down to his hips. It is cut at the front into bangs which often obscure his green eyes. He has the eyes of someone who has easily killed many people without a care or conscience. His face is somewhat gaunt, with visible cheekbones and a triangular dark patch below each eye.
He wears a black fedora with a grey or white hatband. His only shown outfit is a knee length, notched lapel, black trenchcoat with the collar upturned to obscure part of his face and a loose white turtleneck underneath. He likely also wears a ballistic vest beneath these. He wears black trousers and black dress shoes. When trying to avoid leaving fingerprints, he dons a pair of white gloves, black in the anime.
This is Gin.
A Member of The Black Organization.
The second person is a man with a muscular body, a wide chin making him look more like a member of the mafia, yakuza or simply a thug. He wears a black fedora with a red stripe around it, also wears black clothes but his shirt is red. He is also seen wearing black glasses that covers his eyes.
This is Vodka.
A Member of The Black Organization.
"Hirota Masami. No..." Gin said with a subtle vicious smirk alongside Vodka who also sported a subtle vicious smirk. "Miyano Akemi."
Akemi had a serious expression that was on her face as she begins to start the conversation.
"Can I ask you something? Why did you kill those two?"
Vodka made a vicious laugh while Gin made a slight vicious smirk as he explained the reasons why.
"That's our way of doing things. Surely you must know that by now. Now, hand over the money."
Akemi placed her left hand towards her waist.
"It's not here. I have it stored somewhere else."
"What?" Vodka said in slight surprise.
"Before that, I want to remind you two of our deal. My little sister. Bring out my little sister. Like you promised. After this job was over and done with, you'd let me and my little sister leave the organization in peace."
Gin made a slight smirk.
"Hmph. We can't do that I'm afraid."
Gin and Vodka begins to walk a few meters from Akemi's position.
"Your little sister is still of use to the organization. Unlike you, your little sister is an important and vital person in the organization."
Akemi made an angry expression.
"Then, the organization never intended to let us go from the start!"
Vodka made another vicious laugh while Gin made a subtle smirk as he pulled out his Beretta 92 silencer pistol.
"Now, this is your last chance. Tell me where the money is."
Akemi pulled out the weapon, that she had kept from her hand bag, at full speed as she directed it towards Gin.
"You're too naive. If you kill me now, you'll never know where the money is."
Gin still sported his subtle smirk.
"You're the one who is a naive. I know that you've brought a coin locker key or something with you. Besides..."
Gin begins to ready his weapon.
"I told you, it was your last chance."
Gin begins to fire his silencer pistol, hitting Akemi in the process as she drop with her back towards the ground, mortally wounding her.
Gin and Vodka made way towards her, with Vodka checking Akemi's pockets. Vodka managed to pull out a key chain as he showed it to Gin, with Gin and Vodka smirking victoriously.
They begin to leave the premises immediately as if they were never there.
While this is happening, Akemi was breathing heavily while having inner thoughts regarding her current predicament.
"D-Damn it! I'm bleeding from my right side. I-I'm sorry, Shiho. I-I don't think that I can make it. F-Forgive me."
Vworp Vworp Vworp
As she was having these depressing and resigned thoughts, something begins to happened, to her bewilderment and confusion as her eyes begin to widen slightly.
The winds suddenly became stronger.
A blue box is now materializing at her current position.
All that she saw before drifting to unconsciousness was a bright white light as it engulfs her and her entire viewpoint.
