I had not published the end of this fanfic.

I found my notebook and decided to publish what I had written few years ago. :)

Chapter 3

It was Ji Eun's birthday today and her mother had prepared a lovely surprise for her.

"In Ah shi, is everything ready? "said Ji Eun's mother.

"Ne... everything is ok. Jinjjcha, 정말로. This birthday's party will be very interesting...I bet on it". Yoo In Ah with a small and funny smile appearing on her lips. She knew that her lovely dongseang was going to be pleased by this party, and specially by someone's presence!

In Ah put an end to her thoughts and checking the clock, decided that he was time to pick Ji Eun up.

Her role was to bring her friend home at midnight, when all the guests will be there. From time to time, she gives a ride home to Ji Eun, just to spend some time with her, laugh, share their thoughts. So, her friend won't be surprised to see her tonight.

"Ji Eun ah, well done! That was really the right expression I wanted you to display. This feeling of longing for someone could be seen, not only on your face, but with your whole body! Did you use method acting?".

The young actress smiled and answered "감사합니다, Thank you PDnim. I did my best and I'm happy to please you. But I don't know much about method acting". Saying that she giggled a little and her heart started to pound, her stomach had butterflies flying all over. She had to close her eyes and and breath hard to get a hold on herself and find back her composure.

"괜찮아요Gwoenjchanyo PDnim...I'm just a little tired" she said looking at the clock which shows 11.30pm.

"See you next week everyone. Thank you all for your hard work". With this she left the shooting site and saw In ah Oenni outside. "Waiting for me again" she thought with an exhausted and sweet smile.

"Oenni"

"Ji Eun ah... come on, I'll ride you back home". She started the car engine, and they left the shooting site.

She had 15 minutes to bring her friend home! It was perfect!

"Ji Eun ah, 괜찮아 ?...why are you day dreaming ? Did something happen today? » asked her friend with a concern look.

The young actress bit her lower lips, hesitating telling her friend her state of mind. She loved In Ah and she wanted to express her feeling to someone. So she started to speak.

« Today, something reminded me of someone…...and I almost couldn't suppress my feelings. Thinking about him made me happy and frustrated at the same time. My heart warmed up, started bouncing in my chest as if I was running a race, and then ended aching. I would like to see this person, to spend time with him, hold his hand". Tears started rolling down her cheeks when finished her speech.

In Ah glanced at her and gave her a strange smile. It was a small, reassuring, and teasing smile at the same time. But her dongseng didn't pay attention to her.

"Are you talking about Jeon Seok Ssi? Don't worry, love is a great thing; As far as I know he's still single and he praised you so much the last few months, that he might love you too."

Oenni had always been too optimistic; she was currently in love and was seeing la vie en rose. Because Jeon Seok Ssi considred her as a friend and nothing more.

"He just sees me as a fellow actor, a close dongseng, a friend. We're exchanging messages, but they seem so….so…. they're nor intimate. It's ok, as time goes by, I'll be able to forget him».

« Or not" added In Ah giggling. Her little sister might not understand why she said this…but she couldn't help it. For her birthday party that will start in 5 minutes now (it was already 11.55pm), Ji Eun's mother had organised a surprise and invited few friends and colleague of her daughter…and Jeon Seok Ssi was amongst them.

So Ji Eun won't be able to forget him. At least today ! From her point of view, he loved her friend….She could feel it. He was a good guy, nice, down to earth, funny, caring….the one Ji Eun ah needed.

« Ji Eun ah, I'll say hi to your mother before leaving. It's been a long time. I know that she's not sleeping yet. ».

« Sure, she just sent me a message, asking me when I'll come be home. Let's go inside. »

As she opened the door, the lights suddenly turned on and a dozen of people started singing « Happy birthday » ! She looked at her watch and realised it was midnight. That was her birthday.

She was so surprised that she didn't pronounce a word. She stayed there muted. I was so unlike her. Thinking about that she smiled.

"Mum, you're the best! 죄조다 엄마! » she said softly while embracing her mother with a tender hug.

Soon Shin's Eomma was so proud of her daughter. She was overwhelmed by her emotions, hugged Ji Eun back and then said out loud:

"Well, now let's greet our guests".

"Nee Eomma" answered Ji Eun with a big and cheerful smile.

She looked at the few friends invited and greeted everyone starting with In Ah with a big hug.

"Eonni; you're the best too. I love you. You know don't you!".

Ji Hoon Oppa was also there, cheerful, happy and exited as usual. "Ji Eun Ah, here are chocolates from Switzerland. You know I there for a TV show".

Everyone started joking about the meaning of the chocolates as a gift.

"Are you in love with IU?"

"You're so kind O-P-P-A" shouted Ji Eun's manager.

Everyone burst out laughing and Ji Hoon started complaining while blushing. The guests were all happily chatting, but one person kept a serious face, noticed In Ah. Jeon Seok SSi was stunned and seemed kind of awkward. She giggled at this thought.

"Hi Jeon Seok Ssi, how are you? Jealous of Ji Hoon Ih?" she said with a funny and teasing smile.

"Hum…..Hi In Ah Ssi. Why are asking that? I'm not, really not. But I'm kind of envious of how free he can express himself, say what he wants to, give any kind of gift without even thinking about their meaning". Ending his sentence, he sighed while looking at Ji Eun ah.

"Don't be afraid. Just be yourself whatever the feeling you want to convey, and it will be ok". An intriguing smile on her lips, she left his side to chat with her friends.

"Jeon Seok Oppa, you're here! 오랜만이에요 (It's been a long time)!".

When he heard the voice, he immediately turned around and saw Ji Eun Ah looking at him with smiling eyes. She was so close, and beautiful in her casual clothes. He couldn't stop the smile appearing on his face.

"Happy Birthday …. 생일 축하해요 Ji Eun Ah. I wish that you receive the absolute best for your life"! Even if I'm not part of it! He didn't' pronounce this last sentence; He hide the slight pain piercing his heart behind a big smile.

Ji Eun's body shivered when he pronounced her name. She loved hearing him calling her name.

"Thank you for being here, celebrating with me".

"Oh, I have to thanks In Ah Ssi who invited me".

They didn't speak much. Their eyes were locked and they didn't pay attention to other people in the room. When they were together it was always like that, standing in some kind of fairy space where only them existed.

"Hey you! the lovebirds over there, let's come back to Earth!" teased Ji Hoon.

They blinked twice and immediately turned their face around and gazed dubiously at the one that interrupted their special moment.

In Ah also interrupted them, asking her best friend Ji Eun to open by dancing a Waltz with the guy of her choice.

When she saw the Ji Eun's face blushing, she knew that this idea was awesome. She giggled inside and hoped that her friend will dare inviting the one her heart was longing for.

The birthday girl looked at In Ah, standing proudly across the room with teasing but warm smile. She guessed that Oenni wanted to hep her confessing her feelings. She then quickly checked Jeon Seok Oppa's face and was surprised to find him looking at her with a intense gaze.

Did he want to dance with her, as much as she wanted to? she thought.

Slowly he walked to her and bowed at her, proposing to dance. It was like in in old movies…like in Modern Times.

She couldn't hide her surprised face; her heartbeat accelerated as if she was racing for her life. But without thinking much, her hand reached his softly. He placed then his right hand her back, ready to start the Waltz.

They started dancing as the music plays and thoughts were flowing over their minds.

"I can't look at him in the eyes. Oh my! My heart is pounding so loud. I hope he can't hear it!"

"Her hand seems so fragile in mine I love you Ji Eun Ah".

The song ended and hearing applauses, they parted abruptly blushing.

Everyone laughed at their awkwardness and congratulated them for the beautiful dance.

"You really fit each other!".

"Waaa…you danced so beautifully. Did you practice together?"

"Diner is ready," shouted Lee Oemma. The guests happily followed her around the table, enjoying this time together.

"Thank you for coming" Ji Eun waved at her friends leaving. The only remaining one was Jeon Seok Ssi. "How did he manged to do that. Even In Ah Oenni had already left!"

She couldn't help to say out loud:

"You remind me of Jun Ho Oppa (the character he portrayed in the drama they played in together).

"Why? Why do I remind you of him? Maybe because I'm the last one to leave. AS if I wanted to spend more time with you, even for few more minutes?" he replied.
