"It should be up this way…" Chihiro said, leading Sayaka and Celeste through a busy shopping center.
"So, what kind of outfits are you two looking for?" Celeste asked, taking a bite out of her soft pretzel.
"I actually already have my dress." Sayaka answered. "Do you remember that pink, sparkly one I performed in last year?"
"Oooh, that one is pretty!" Chihiro said, looking back with a cheerful grin. "It'll be perfect for prom."
"What about you, Chihiro?"
"Oh, I don't really know." They replied, running a hand through their hair. "I don't think I want a dress, but a lot of suits can be…kinda boring."
"I'm sure we'll find something perfect for you." Celeste said kindly.
"What are you hoping to find, Celeste?"
"I'd like something in a darker tone, of course. Maybe black, or purple..."
"Or a nice, deep red?" Sayaka offered.
"Oh, you are naughty!" Celeste trilled, jovially taking Sayaka's arm in hers.
"Are you guys both going by yourselves?" Chihiro asked.
"No, I was able to get tickets for the girls in my idol group, so we're all going together!" Sayaka answered, clapping her hands together.
"And I would like to ask Sonia to go with me, but she's always surrounded by her little cronies. So, alas, I haven't had the chance." Celeste added gloomily.
"Cronies? Do you mean…Kazuichi and Gundham?"
"Indeed. I can hardly get a word in when they're around."
"Hopefully you'll still get the chance to dance with her." Sayaka said, patting Celeste's back gently.
"And you, Chihiro? Planning on breaking any hearts on prom night?"
"Oh, no." They answered shyly. "I mean, Mondo said I could hang out with him and Taka, but…I don't want to be a third wheel or anything."
"Well, I'll save a dance for you anytime, Chihiro." Sayaka offered with a smile. "Then I can introduce you to the rest of my idol group, too!"
"I'd like that."
"Oh, look, isn't this the store, Chihiro?"
"That's it! You guys ready?"
The girls responded with enthusiasm as they all walked into the boutique together.
