Chapter Three – If Billboards Could Talk
The Sandbox
As Cameron, LC and Faith Star arrived at the Sandbox, Faith Star ran into the house and headed straight for the North Wing to see Abiyah. She didn't get far as she was unable to escape the far-reaching arm of her grandfather, Triple H.
"Greet your grandfather properly Faith Star," LC admonished her two-year-old girl.
"Hey Grandpa Hunter," Faith Star said kissing Hunter on the cheek.
"Nice to see you here guys," Hunter said hugging his granddaughter.
"Shouldn't you guys be at work?" Cameron asked Shawn and Hunter as Faith Star began her ascent up the staircase.
"We're leaving for Orlando in a minute," Hunter said and LC and Cameron furrowed their brows.
"Orlando? I thought you guys were shooting NXT out of Los Angeles now?" Cameron asked DX.
"That was the plan but plans kinda got changed over the weekend," Shawn explained. "There's Bayley trouble on the West Coast and Seth and the God girls decided it would be best if the NXT roster is nowhere near her right now,"
LC and Cameron shook their heads, "You can't let that black-haired mud-brain influence you like that. I understand Bianca, Becky and Bliss wanting to keep Bayley away from Seth and Sasha. The NXT roster is super-tough, surely you don't expect them to cower to Bayley," LC said.
"Becky Lynch is back at NXT now, we didn't want her to get pulled into any of the Bayley drama while she's in a program with Johnny Gargano for the NXT World Heavyweight Championship," Hunter explained and LC shook her head.
"So, that's why you moved NXT back to Orlando. You want to focus on the business instead of Bayley. Dad, you have got to realise how this looks. You basically gave up territory to the enemy," LC said.
"Yeah, you should have continued to setup shop in L A and let Bayley be the one to leave," Cameron said.
"Becky's a bit of a hot-head and now she's a Christian it's even worse. One thing I know from watching Shawn and Amy when they got their Gifts from God, is that God always wins out over wrestling. We've got two major shows coming up next month, Takeover and Wrestlemania. We can't afford to let one of our biggest Superstars get pulled into this battle with Bayley. Seth and Sasha are leaving after 'Mania, we need Becky safe and sound and that means keeping her as far away from Bayley as possible," Hunter said.
"Have you spoken to Seth and Sasha about this?" Cameron asked DX.
"Please, those two have much more important things on their minds right now. They're in new-born baby land, they ain't got time to listen to hear what I have to say," Hunter said.
"Yet, you made a decision that effects both of them as-well as the NXT roster," LC said shaking her head. "Dad, they need to know what your reasons for going back to Orlando are. I think you'll find that they agree with us,"
"Kids, you can argue with me until the cows come home, the bottom line is that we have a business to run with Superstars who will be super-busy over the next few weeks. Now is not the time to let them run down Bayley and whatever she's got going on with the Steph and Beth Hardy," Hunter said.
"Dad, when are you going to stop putting business before souls? Bayley needs to be stopped right now and Becky needs to be on the West Coast, not chilling out in Orlando with the NXT roster," LC said.
"Hey, I brought you here so Faith Star could spend time with Abiyah. I don't need a lecture on what's best for business from you two," Hunter said and he went up to the North Wing to join the Rollins family, Faith Star and Roman Reigns.
LC watched him go with her arms folded across her chest while Cameron turned to his father Shawn Michaels, "Dad, you have got to talk to him. I know Uncle Hunter can be stubborn but this is not the time for that; if Bayley's up to something, Seth and Sasha are going to need Becky, Bianca and Bliss to be as close to her as possible,"
"I'm with you guys but we just won NXT back from Stephanie McMahon. We have got to make a good showing at Takeover and we can only do that by focussing on the NXT roster and not letting Stephanie McMahon get in our heads again," Shawn said and Cameron furrowed his brow.
"So, you agree with Uncle Hunter?" he said appalled.
"Yes son, this is not the time to go Bayley hunting, we need to focus on putting on the best show possible or our fans," Shawn said.
LC and Cameron could not believe what they were hearing, "Dad, we gave up time with our little girl just so she can help protect Sasha and Abiyah from Bayley. If we're willing to make that type of sacrifice, how much will you give up to make Becky available to help fight against Bayley?" Cameron asked his father and Shawn shrugged.
"I don't know son, all I know is that I gotta get to work," Shawn said and he escaped to the West Wing to pack his overnight back before heading to Full Sail in Orlando for tonight's NXT taping.
LC and Cameron exchanged glances, "Those two have really got to pull their thumbs out of their butts. We have got to get through to them, they don't seem to have a clue how serious this thing with Bayley really is," LC said and Cameron nodded.
"Well, if we can't get through to them, maybe the other members of the family can. Let's go see Chey and Aurora in New York City," Cameron said.
"Good idea, those two will let their actions speak louder than our words ever could," LC said and she rubbed her chin thoughtfully, "Would it be okay to leave Faith Star here for the night?"
Cameron nodded, "I guess we're going to have to get used to the idea of her not being around us 24/7," he said and they both took a deep breath.
"Should we say goodbye?" LC said emotionally.
"No, let her think we just popped out. She needs to get used to being around Abiyah when we're not around," Cameron said and LC and Cameron left the Sandbox to meet Cheyenne and Aurora in New York, turning back every second, missing Faith Star more and more with every step.
Times Square, New York City, NY
The Damsels of Destruction looked up at the massive billboard that had just gone up in Times Square. It was a last minute job but Tanya Madison, Jamie Albright and Melissa Turnbull were proud of their efforts. Becky Lynch had called them late last night and asked them to decorate Times Square with a portrait of Seth, Sasha, Abiyah Rollins with the God girls surrounding them. It was a graphical masterpiece and now Seth and Sasha's cell-phones were ringing off the hook with requests for endorsements from everything to hair products to baby clothing. The Damsels were still very much in the Becky Lynch business and it became clear to Stephanie McMahon that it would behoove her to win Becky Lynch over. She was one of the Damsels biggest clients and they were paid well through her name, if Stpehanie didn't get out the publicity quagmire DX had plunged her into, it wouldn't be long before the McMahon name was permanently on the trash heap of life.
As she looked up at the billboard with the Damsels, Jeff Hardy and Charlotte Flair, it was now or never; Stephanie had to call Becky and make peace with her and all of Seth's girls if she was going to keep the McMahon name relevant.
"Hey Finn, it's Steph. I need you to do me a favour," Stephanie said.
NXT, Full Sail, Orlando, FL
Becky Lynch had her hand up permanently receiving many hi-fives from the NXT roster after her promo on Johnny Gargano. While there was no physical contact this week, the next taping would see things between Johnny and Becky get physical and the Man was ready for action. At the moment however, her attention was on God's business and the first step in the battle against Bayley had gone into effect. Now that the billboard of Rollins and the God girls was up all over New York City, all attention had shifted from Bayley and Beth Hardy to Seth and Sasha. It would only be a matter of time before Becky got a call from Stephanie McMahon, begging her to make a deal so she could get a cut off all the publicity she was making off of her association with Seth and Sasha Rollins.

"Tanks," Becky said as she had been saying all night long and she looked up from her phone and saw the lovely green eyes of Finn Balor looking back at her. She pocketed her cell-phone and walked over to him. "So are you coming back to work?" she asked him.
"Tings certainly seem to have settled down now that DX are back in charge," Finn replied.
"Well, you've been here for two minutes and my head hasn't exploded yet so I guess things are getting better," Becky replied. "So, are you back or not?"
"Can we go somewhere and talk?" Finn asked Becky and the Irish lass furrowed her brow.
"No Finn, whatever you got to say to me you can say it here right now," Becky replied.
Finn rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and he pulled up a seat next to Becky who was sat in the makeup chair getting her make up removed.
"It's kind of complicated Becky. I really think we need to go somewhere private and talk," Finn said and Becky shook her head.
"There's nothing you can't tell me here that you can't tell me anywhere else Finn, now spill it: are you back at NXT or not?" Becky said.
"All done," the make-up lady said to Becky.
"Tank you," Becky replied and Finn looked around.
"Whoa, I don't tink we've been alone like this for awhile," he said.
"So will you tell me what's on your mind now?" Becky replied.
"Okay, so here's the deal Bex. Before DX got her fired from WWE, Stephanie McMahon was putting together a deal with Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey," Finn said and Becky nodded.
"Yeah I know, it was for the main event of Wrestlemania, if Stephanie won, she would get complete control of NXT and the WWE but if I won, I would get control of the WWE," Becky said. "That match got thrown out along with Stephanie and all her belongings,"
"That's not it," Finn said. "Paul Heyman added a few more layers to the match. He met with Steph and invited Kenny, AJ and me to a meeting to add us to the angle,"
"What?" Becky said furrowing her brow.
"Paul said that if Stephanie won the match, the Bullett Club would run NXT and it would setup a feud between NXT and the Bullett Club," Finn said and Becky's eyebrow rose.
"That does sound too sweet," she said with a small smile, "But its impossible now, Stephanie's been fired and the WWE is looking for someone to replace her,"
"Yeah they are and I believe you were the person offered that position but for some reason you turned it down," Finn said.
"No, not for some reason Finn, for a very good reason. That job offer was a setup so Stephanie could get her revenge on me for turning Beth Hardy against her," Becky explained.
"Becky, if you take the CEO job, you can authorise the match and execute the angle. Do you know how great that would be for NXT, to have a feud between NXT and the Bullett Club? The ratings would go through the roof!" Finn said.
"Yeah but in order for the feud to work, wouldn't Stephanie have to get her job back?" Becky Lynch said and Finn Balor nodded. "Well, that's not going to happen is it?"
"No, in reality, Stephanie would be working for you as part of creative," Finn said and Becky's eyebrow rose.
"Wait-a-minute, are you saying that Stephanie McMahon would be reporting to me?" she asked and Finn Balor nodded.
"That's right, in kayfabe, she would get her job back as CEO of WWE but in reality, you would be running everything, including the angle of the Bullett Club against NXT," Finn said and Becky rubbed her chin thoughtfully, smiling from ear-to-ear. Her mouth was watering; the idea of Stephanie McMahon working for her was making her salivate.
"Gees Finnegan, I gotta tell you, I really like that idea," she said and Finn Balor smiled.
"I taught you might Bex," he said with a wily smile and he got down off of the make up chair beside her. "Why don't you talk it over with DX and get back to me once you've made your decision?"
Becky looked over at Finn earnestly, "Wait, are you saying you won't come back to NXT until I've made my decision?" she asked him.
"Not just me, AJ and Kenny said that they won't sign their deals until this storyline is put in place. Don't take too long Bex, there's a lot of careers on the line and we're all counting on you to make the right decision," Finn said and he straightened his jacket collar and turned and left Full Sail while NXT was still in progress.
Dakota Kai came over to Becky with Candice Larae, "What did he want?" she asked Becky with disdain.
"To make me an offer I can't refuse," Becky replied and she pulled out her cell-phone and called Seth at the Sandbox. She smelled a rat and she hoped Seth would help her get rid of it before he left for Saudi Arabia with his family next month.
