Seth had barely adjusted the spell before Jerusha was pulled back into the demon.
"There you are," he said. "I was beginning to worry. You're stronger than I thought."
"Who the fuck are you?" She asked.
"Right, where are my manners? My name is Finn Balor, love," he said. "I heard about you. I'm happy to have found you. Our meeting won't last long but I'll make sure it's a memorable one. At least for me. Today you cease to exist."
He whistled for a few seconds while powerwalking through town. She could see he was heading towards Charlotte's place.
"I see three of your team members. Where's the final one?" He asked.
"None of your business," she answered.
"And you're blocking me out of your mind," he chuckled. "Clever girl. The spell caster knows his shit."
"Of course he does. This isn't his first time," she said.
"From what I saw earlier, it's your first time with a demon," he laughed. "Why drag it out? I'll see you in a bit."
He snapped his fingers and she was forced out of him. She blinked and looked around.
"He's here. He teleported," Jerusha said.
"Very good, love," Finn chuckled.
Finn came walking out in the clearing while clapping his hands together slowly in a mocking manner. Angel immediately started chanting in another language.
"Latin? What a rookie move," Finn said.
"But you stopped walking," Jerusha smirked.
Finn looked down at his feet that weren't moving.
"So pretty boy over here isn't the only spell caster?" Finn smirked. "But it's different. I see. Latin master casts spells on me while pretty boy casts them on you. Smart move."
Finn raised his left hand and Angel stopped chanting.
"But not smart enough," Finn said. "Come on, love. I'm better than that."
Finn raised his right hand to keep Seth in place just as Seth was about to chant something.
"Not a chance, pretty boy. You don't get to protect her this time around," Finn said.
Finn took a few more steps towards Jerusha.
"Hey, asshole!" Bianca yelled.
Bianca came running from behind but then froze with her hand raised right behind Finn.
"And no funny powder either," Finn looked at Jerusha. "It's just you and me now, love. I can keep them like this forever. I'll let them watch while I have my way with you. I'll kill them afterwards."
A sharp pain went through Finn's head. He growled in pain and shook his head. For a split second all three people he kept chained had been able to move. He tightened his grip around them again and looked at Jerusha.
"You know other mind tricks. Here I thought you were only able to sense us," Finn said.
"I'm not as useless in the field as you thought," Jerusha said.
Another sharp pain went through Finn's head. He bared his teeth and wrapped his hand around Jerusha's throat.
"You look pretty fucking useless to me right now!" Finn growled.
Jerusha struggled to breathe. She knew she didn't have a lot of time left. She managed to fight through the pain.
"You forget one thing," Jerusha said.
"What?" Finn asked annoyed.
"You can't control everything," Jerusha said.
Finn smirked but his smirk quickly faded. He looked around and saw hundreds of snakes coming towards him at a fast pace.
"You can't freeze every fucking snake at once," Jerusha said.
"I'll deal with you in a moment. Do your worst, love," Finn said.
Finn let go of Jerusha to get more power back to deal with the snakes about to attack him. The snakes stopped moving one by one as he chained them. He was busy with them and failed to noticed what was happening right in front of him. Jerusha raised her hand and blew powder in Finn's face. His vision went bright white. That was all he could see. This bright white color blinding him and hurting his eyes. It also made him let go of everyone he had chained.
"That's my girl," Bianca said.
"What the fuck? A snake charmer? There's no snake charmer on your team!" Finn screamed in rage.
"Guess again," Charlotte said.
"You didn't search deep enough in my mind," Jerusha said. "And here's the last one you were missing."
Aleister came running with a dagger in his hand. He speared Finn from behind. The world seemed to stop for a second. The white color faded from his eyes, and Finn looked into the pale blue eyes of Jerusha.
"He comes from a long line of warriors with deadly daggers forged with magic. You should have known I wasn't your worst enemy. We as a team all are," Jerusha pressed her index finger into Finn's forehead. "Fade to black, love."
Aleister pulled the dagger back out of Finn's back. Finn's body crashed down on the ground and slowly melted into the earth.
"Back to hell he goes," Angel said.
"One way ticket this time," Aleister said. "He won't ever be able to come back."
"There will be others," Charlotte said.
"Eventually," Seth said.
Seth pulled Jerusha in for a hug.
"I think this is the most scared I've ever been," Seth said. "Even more scared than back when we faced that winged army of doom, and they nearly took my head off."
"Are the two of you ever going to date?" Charlotte asked.
"What?" Jerusha said.
"Come on, it was clear back when I was part of the team too. I actually thought you would finally have come to terms with your feelings by now," Charlotte said.
"Feelings? What feelings?" Jerusha asked.
"Yeah, we're friends," Seth said.
To their surprise everyone started laughing.
"Girl, nah-ah!" Bianca said. "Get that pussy scratched. You know you want to."
"Bianca!" Jerusha raised her voice.
"Just saying," Bianca said.
"It really is clear to all of us," Angel said.
Jerusha and Seth looked at each other. Seth shrugged his shoulders and smiled.
"Fine," Seth said. "I got feelings for Jerusha. What does it matter if she doesn't feel the same?"
"She does," Charlotte grinned. "Looks like you got a date tonight."
"Hold up," Jerusha smirked at Charlotte. "I'll make you a deal. I'll go on a date with Seth if you come back to the team. If not, I'll call you everyday to tell you how I feel, and you'll be so fucking annoyed that you'll end up begging me to stop. But I won't. I'll never stop. I'll even come out here to tell you in person if you stop answering my calls."
Charlotte looked over at Seth and then back at Jerusha.
"The things I won't do for love," Charlotte chuckled. "I'll come back."
"Sweet!" Angel grinned.
"I miss the team," Charlotte said. "I needed the time off but lately I've been missing it. I guess my pride was in the way of asking to come back."
"There's always room for you here," Aleister said.
Jerusha walked over to Charlotte and pulled her in for a hug.
"Welcome back, snake charmer," Jerusha said.
"Thank you," Charlotte smiled. "Alright, who's next? Evil fairies? A basilisk? Another demon? I'll fucking deal with them all."
