Jennifer entered the lobby of the GeneCo Tower after a long day of work, to find Luigi at the bar to the left, drinking. He had his back turned to her, not noticing her. She smiled and exhaled; the only thing she longed for now was her fiance. She came from behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist and pulling him gently onto her. He set his glass of whiskey down and swallowed the liquid before turning to her.

"I missed you, handsome," she said, kissing his lips but not getting a kiss back. His cold stance and lack of reaction confused her. "What's wrong?"

"What do you think is wrong?" he snapped, turning back around to grab his glass, finishing the rest of his drink with one big gulp. Jennifer was now worried. She took the empty seat next to him and faced him.

"Luigi, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong..."

He smirked evilly and made the girl shiver. She knew his temper was short and she knew exactly what she was getting into when their relationship started. But that didn't mean that his outbursts, or the possibility of one, did not scare her. There was always a fear of him lashing out at her, ultimately meeting the end of his blade. She didn't speak again, letting him speak to her when he saw fit, deciding it was probably for the best not to enrage him further.

"Come upstairs," he said coldly, bolting up from his seat and moving to the elevator. "My suite," he called out, as if it was an order to one of his servants. Jennifer noticed and it made her feel hurt, but she followed him. She had no idea what had happened. In the morning, everything was ideal. They had exhanged words of love, dedication and affection. Now, everything was so different, as if she had stepped into an alternative universe.

She followed him up to the suite floor where the whole family had their suites. He stepped inside, whilst usually he would motion for her to do so first. She couldn't care less about this at that moment. She just wanted to know what was wrong.

He kicked the door shut and threw his coat on the black leather couch. "Do you think I'm a fool, Jennifer?" He barked the question, making her head snap up to meet his gaze, or more like his glare.

"I don't understand you. What is that all about? When did I-"

"I saw you, damn you!" Luigi yelled suddenly, throwing his fist against the table in front of the couch. Jennifer jumped at the violent outburst. "I saw you with the faggot this morning! And don't flatter yourself by thinking I spied on you!" He scoffed. "You forgot your necklace on the nightstand and I was coming to give it back to you before you left. See, you were in a hurry to get to your job, but, apparently you had enough time to chat with GeneCo's most eligible bachelor, huh?!"

She was shaking in anxiety mixed with fear. "Luigi..." she started in a shaky whisper. "If... if it is this... I can explain-"

"You got nothing to explain to me, Jennifer!"

"Will you just shut up and listen!" She yelled, surprising even herself. Luigi's eyes widened, his fists tightened and his body was unmoving. Rage burned in his blue eyes but he didn't say anything. "I was going to work. He stumbled upon me. We said hi and good morning and such. Alright? I feel him like my brother and he feels me as his sister. He saw the engagement ring and he commented on that. Unless now it is suddenly too bad chatting with your brother-in-law!" She shouted her last words, staying on her feet as he still sat on the couch, next to his thrown coat.

He slowly came to his feet, making her take a step back as he moved towards her. His face was colder than she had ever seen before. "I knew you were naive..." he started, whispering coldly, "but I had no idea how much."

Jennifer's eyes glowed, widening at the insult. This was definitely not the Luigi she was so used to and loved for so long. Yes, he had anger issues. They had argued before. But never once had he insulted her, or threatened her, or hit her, or harmed her. "Naive? I come home after a busy day at work, wanting only to be in your arms, kiss you, hug you, hold you. You! YOU, Luigi! And this is what I come back to?"

"Take it or leave it."

"Is that your final word?"

"If you want it to be."

"I'm not playing games, Luigi. If you think I'm some mindless Gentern, going after your brother, you are gravely mistaken. Come find me when you realize this."

She walked to the door, opening it and closing it with a bang. He untightened his fists and stormed outside. A Gentern happened to pass by and became the victim of his rage, as he grabbed her, making her cry out. "Mr. Largo! Plea-"

"Shut up, whore!" He barked, throwing her against a wall, causing her head to smash on the concrete. "Jennifer!" He called out. "Jenn!"

"Wow, wow..." A high male voice came from behind him. Jennifer was gone. There was no use running after her anymore. He immediately knew that voice. He didn't have to turn to see who it belonged to. "Fratello, you owe me-a a new Gentern..." Pavi's frowned face was gazing at the passed out, or perhaps dead, Gentern at his feet.

Luigi turned and rushed to his younger brother, wrapping a hand around his throat. "What will you do? Huh? Take her from me too? Like you did with Lara? Like you did with Sandra, Jane and Katherine?" His grip was tightening with each name of each of Luigi's ex girlfriends who were taken by Pavi after a few months of dating Luigi.

Pavi choked and grabbed Luigi's hand with both of his, finally feeling his brother's grip loosening and letting go of him with a push backwards. Pavi kept his balance, though. He coughed a bit, holding his throat and then glared at Luigi. "What-a?"

"WHAT?! I would ask you the same fucking question, asshole! What the fuck are you doing with her?"

Pavi's facial expression changed into a calming smile. Not his usual smirk. A smile. A genuine smile, form of expressing... happiness? "Luigi..."

The older Largo was taken aback by his brother's reaction. This was not something he did to enrage him. Not accompanied by a victorious smirk, bragging for his newest conquest. This was real emotion. And it scared Luigi more than anything. Was it possible that Pavi wouldn't take this one as a trophy, just to win against his brother, but he would try to take her because... he was genuinely in love for the first time?

As if reading his mind, Pavi blinked and took a step backwards, stopping as his back touched the wall. Luigi's eyes widened threateningly, fully realizing what was happening now. He stepped towards Pavi and before the younger man could react, Luigi's fist crashed on Pavi's mouth, slicing his lower lip. A cry of pain came from within Pavi's throat, covering his bleeding lip with his one hand as the other tried to catch Luigi's hand, going for a slap this time. "Oww! S-stop... Luigi... P-please..."

His old stutter. His old, ugly stutter he was covering up with his stupid Italian accent. If you could call that an Italian accent...

"You will pay for this, bastard." Luigi's voice came out colder than ice. Pavi shivered. He was the punching bag for Luigi many times in the past and he had heard meny threats. But this one... This one sounded like the only genuine, real one. And it made the younger man fear his brother for real this time. His blue/grey eyes were locked on Luigi as the latter turned and left, walking down the corridor.

"What w-will you d-do..." Pavi whispered, seeing Luigi turning to face him with malice, as if he had heard him, before continuing his path down the dorridor.
