Chapter 2: One Punch vs The World / Anime Episode Counterpart: Ep 5/6: What I Can Do For Now/Rage You Damn Nerd!
EXTRA CONTEXT (mild spoilers) :
Saitama in this universe is smarter. This causes him to have better memory, allowing him to remember people if they stick out to him, or if things stick out to him (such as Kirishima, Bakugo's placement, or Ida's face, as he gave him an odd pep talk.)
All Might is the lead on Saitama's case, which is why he knows that Saitama's really quirkless when only Principal Nezu and Aizawa have info that could point to the truth in the chapter.
Saitama's punches have a scale to them. A 'normal punch' is not simply one set value, but a range of values from 50% of an average 'normal punch' to 150% of a 'normal punch' this is why Saitama says "That was a little abnormal." after throwing the softball, he did a normal punch that was about 120% stronger than average.
AFO has to be absorbed by OFA to disappear. This is a safeguard as to why Saitama can't one shot All for One.
It had been 3 months since the events of the U.A entrance exam, and Dr. Kuseno had just sent the letter a month ago to apply Genos to U.A (since Dr. Kuseno was as big of a name as he was, he could do this, despite it being hard on U.A's management) and since then, Genos hadn't been so energetic for a while.
"Hey Dr. Kuseno!" said Genos, coming into his father's lab, eager to hear something,
"What is it Genos?" asked Dr. Kuseno,
"Did I get accepted into U.A yet?" Genos asked excitedly,
"Of course you did Genos, and you should see how many points Saitama got!" Genos smiled, happy with his achievement, but upon looking at the approval email, his happiness was equally shared with surprise, as he then ran to the bathroom, where Saitama was brushing his teeth.
"Saitama!" yelled Genos, barging in the washroom, to find Saitama brushing his teeth,
"What is it Genos?" asked Saitama, having a slightly muffled voice because of his toothbrush,
"You said you got 80 points on the entrance exam right?" asked Genos,
"Huh? Oh yeah, I did do that a little bit ago." said Saitama,
"Here on the email it says you got 150!" said Genos, "It says that they were... rescue points?"
Saitama opened his eyes a little more to display happiness, and said "Wow." before putting his eyes back into their idle stance.
"Saitama… that's almost double second place!" said Genos,
"Oh? Well that sucks for them I guess..." asked Saitama, clearly uninterested.
"It must've been because you saved Fubuki on the entrance exam!" said Genos, who was too excited by Saitama's accomplishment.
Saitama then said, "So we'll be going in today right?" attempting to change the topic, since he couldn't hide his uninterest any longer.
"Yes, wanna get going?" asked Genos
"Sure." Saitama said as Genos threw a uniform on him, "I'm not a hanger you know." Saitama said with his uniform on his face.
Saitama and Genos had both said their goodbyes to Dr. Kusenos, and they then started running to U.A at the fastest speed Genos could go, not because they were late, but because they wanted to be early for once, as Saitama usually ran late to everything. Before making it into U.A, they decided to yet again stop at the gas station that King was running, as they had forgotten their lunches.
"Anything else today you two?" asked King
"No, thank you for offering King, sir." said Genos, who took the lunch he had gotten and offered King money to purchase them
"No, keep it. You two have paid enough, with me taking credit for all your achievements." said King,
"Thank you, King, sir!" said Genos.
"You two starting at U.A today?" asked King to Saitama, as Genos went to grab something else since everything was free for him and Saitama,
"Yeah. I've met some pretty strong people, and I hope I meet my match there." said Saitama,
"You don't seem to enjoy being strong." said King,
"Yeah, because all my fights are boring now." Saitama explained, "Of course i'm glad that i'm able to protect everyone, but it'd be nice to have fun, as this hero thing is still just a hobby for me."
"Understandable." King stated. The bell rang as another customer walked in, before noticing both Saitama and Genos in the store.
"Hey! Saitama! Genos! What's up?" said a female voice from the entrance.
This voice appeared to be Fubuki, who when seeing Saitama, Genos, and King, momentarily froze up.
She then exclaimed, "Woah! Is that King?!"
King cleared his throat, as if to make him seem intimidating and strong, and said, "Yes it is me." In his most serious possible voice.
"Wow! What are you two doing talking to King?" asked Fubuki,
"Oh, I d-" Saitama was quickly cut off by Genos, who said, "Saitama helped King defeat a monster outside the gas station the other day, and King is letting us take some stuff for free since we're new, promising heroes." said Genos, "Kings secret isn't known to the general public, we have to keep it hidden…" thought Genos.
"A friend I take it?" said King
"Yes, this is Fubuki, sister of Tatsumaki." said Genos
"Oh really?" King said, suddenly a little bit more interested in the subject
"Who is Tatsumaki?" asked Saitama
"My older sister, in the 3rd year. She is the Tornado of Terror, and is expected to make it into the top 5 pros as soon as she graduates." Fubuki stated, "And the reason why I can never be first in anything."
A certain bitterness was sensed in her voice by King and Genos, "Must be tough living in her shadow." said King
"Definitely. I don't any of you guys would have to experience that" said Fubuki, attempting to chuckle a bit at it to soften the tone.
The three of them walked out of the store with lunches that had been given to them by King.
"Thanks, but will we be able to make it in time now?" asked Fubuki, worried about being late on the first day
"Oh, we can run fast." said Saitama
"Yeah, but I can't make it on time, I don't have any mobility increasing quirk like you two." said Fubuki
"I don't even have a quirk, but if you want to jump on either mine or Genos' back we can make it there in time." said Saitama
"Wouldn't that just be weird though?" questioned Fubuki.
"Got any better ideas?" asked Saitama
"N-no…" said Fubuki, who was clearly reluctant to the idea.
"Come on, it's not my fault you had to get King's autograph!" said Saitama, who could even detect how reluctant Fubuki was. Fubuki eventually gave up and got on Saitama's back, blushing. Genos then came out of the store, "Genos, i'm gonna go on ahead faster." Saitama stated
"Alright Saitama." Genos replied as he was left in the dust by Saitama, who started running at full speed
"Let's now see if I can catch up with Saitama! Explosion boosted legs!" Genos thought in his head as he almost flew with explosions in his legs pushing him forwards.
Fubuki hopped off Saitama's back when they were nearing the school, slowing her own descent with her psychic powers.
"What class you got Saitama?" asked Fubuki,
"1-A." said Saitama, fully prepared to be as bored as possible, since it was a school, which he hated since he hates anything educational,
"Oh! Same with me, I thought I was going to be bored out of my mind in my class." said Fubuki, who was clearly cheerful to have someone else she knew in her class.
"Calm down, it's only me." joked Saitama, smiling.
They waited outside of the entrance, as Genos got to the entrance 4 minutes after them.
"It takes me 5 minutes to get from the halfway point to here even now… and it took you 1 minute… how do you do it Saitama?" joked Genos, knowing how Saitama could do it. Saitama though, was already in his autopilot mode, so he just said,
"Running fast."
At the door frame, Saitama was able to walk in without anyone interrupting him. But slowly, a small crowd started forming around him, which was filled with silent students,
"What's everybody grouping around me for?" asked Saitama, who was slowly becoming annoyed by everyone not saying everything.
"You're the guy who got 150 points on the entrance exam and got recommended, right?" asked the tallest amongst the bunch, who had multiple more arms then he was supposed to.
"Yeah, so?" asked Saitama, wondering if he should be thankful for the compliment, angry that everyone was surrounding his desk, and more. (so confusing that I can't even put it into words apparently)
"Not bad Saitama!" said Kirishima, smiling.
Bakugo then walked into the classroom, and saw the crowd around Saitama, and came up to him, saying,
"Hey Baldy! I don't care who you are or how you got 150 points on the entrance exam! I will beat you!" yelled Bakugo, pissed that someone was able to beat him.
"OK." said Saitama, unfazed
"What's with that half-assed attitude! I will! After all, you guys are just extras!" said Bakugo
"Don't insult Saitama!" said Genos
"Oh? And what are you gonna do about it rust bucket!" yelled Bakugo, as the two of them stared at each other with intent to kill. Bakugo eventually decided to back off, as he didn't want to get expelled on the first day of school.
"Be careful Baldy! We are rivals!" yelled Bakugo.
"Who are you again?" asked Saitama, which made those around him laugh, despite him being completely serious.
"Katsuki Bakugo! And don't you forget it, Baldy!" said Bakugo as he walked over to his seat and pulled out his chair angrily, pissed that Saitama was making fun of him.
"Nice one dude! My name is Denki Kaminari! And don't you forget it!" said Denki, mimicking Bakugo.
"How did you get that many points?! My name is Mina Ashido!" said the pink future hero, Mina.
"I just punched anything that came in my way." said Saitama, scratching his head, unable to guess how people didn't think of his strategy.
"How long did it take you to master your powers?" asked someone with a black bird-like head.
"It took me 4 years of physical training to get this strong." said Saitama.
"Thanks. I'm Tokoyami." said Tokoyami.
"Everyone back up! I'm sure that Saitama doesn't appreciate the constant banter around him!" said the same blue haired boy from the entrance exam.
"Hey! You're that one person from the auditorium!" said Saitama.
"Thrilled you remember me! My name is Tenya Ida!" said Tenya.
"You know what seat I'm sitting in by the way?" asked Saitama, not interested enough to initiate conversation.
"Seat 21. Genos, your seat is 23, and Fubuki, yours is 22." said Tenya.
"Thanks." said Genos. Tenya Ida then saw Bakugo putting his feet on the desk, and he went over to lecture him.
Fubuki went to her desk and remained silent. Her entire life she had been surrounded by those who could overpower her easily, but now, at U.A, this was her chance to redeem herself, but she was already getting shown up by someone else, someone else who was already quite close to her as well.
Sitting in their seats, Kirishima, who had just arrived at the school, saw Saitama, and decided to come up to him, as he had already made Saitama acquaintance.
"Yo, dude! Great job on that exam!" he said.
"Thanks." said Saitama, as a headache began of Ida and Bakugo yelling at each other, who were coincidentally in front of Saitama.
"Good job on making it in too." said Saitama.
"Congratulations on getting 3rd Kirishima!" said Genos.
"Thanks!" said Kirishima.
"Wow, third place? You must be really good at hero work." said Saitama.
"Heh, i'm nothing compared to you though!" said Kirishima, "Honestly, I think you might've broken a few records."
Saitama chuckled, "Thanks." he replied, taking it as a joke, even though Kirishima was serious.
Right then and there, Izuku opened the door to the classroom. Izuku himself even had a mini-crowd. It made him quite popular to be both friends with Saitama and also destroy a robot on the entrance exam. Ochaco came over to introduce herself to Izuku, and Tenya Ida did the same.
"Well, i'm gonna go congratulate Midoriya." said Saitama, who got out of his seat and went over to Izuku.
"Hey! Congratulations on passing Midoriya!" said Saitama.
"O-oh… thanks Saitama." said Izuku.
"Hey! Are you that one guy who got 150 points on the entrance exam?" asked Ochaco, with a surprised tone.
"Oh yeah. Saitama." said Saitama.
"I'm Ochaco Uraraka! Nice to meet you!" said Ochaco cheerfully, as Saitama noticed something outside the door.
"Hey… why is there an oversized banana on the ground?" asked Saitama.
This made Izuku and Uraraka turn around to see someone in a yellow sleeping bag on the floor. The yellow sleeping bag got up and said,
"That's no way to talk to your homeroom teacher."
These words were said in an overly monotone voice, as Saitama looked suspicious but decided to go to his seat. He sat down, and Fubuki asked,
"Is that our teacher?" Saitama glanced at her,
"I guess." He then went to his idle position, looking bored out of his mind.
"I can guarantee that most of you are bored out of your mind, so I am Shoto Aizawa, and i'll be your homeroom teacher." said Mr. Aizawa.
"Today we'll be doing tests on the P.E field. I'll hand out your P.E uniforms. Change quickly so that we can get this over with."
Mr. Aizawa seemed like the one who was bored out of his mind. That's what the students thought anyways. But, as Aizawa was their homeroom teacher, they had no reason to decline. Waiting for their P.E uniforms and then going to the change rooms.
"Unlike in middle school, your quirks usage is allowed, fail you're expelled." said Aizawa, brushing over the most important details.
"Saitama, you appear to not have any middle school records, is there a reason for this?" Saitama looked blank, and said,
"I didn't go to a middle school sensei." Aizawa looked unimpressed, and said,
"How can you not go to middle school, surely your parents forced you to go."
Saitama looked a little angrier than before and said,
"I'm an orphan sensei." Saitama said,
"Then the orphanage's manager should've forced you." said Aizawa,
"I ran away when I was 10, sensei." said Saitama. This argument went back and forth, and Aizawa then said,
"Well, since you didn't attend middle school, the point is I need the data of how far you can throw a ball without your quirk."
"I don't have a quirk." said Saitama.
"Then quit whining." said Aizawa, tired from all of the bickering and the lies that he assumed Saitama was telling. Saitama was a little mad from his conversation with Aizawa, so then Aizawa said,
"I'll use my quirk to deactivate yours." Izuku then instantly realized that their homeroom teacher was the ex-vigilante Eraser Head, and this made Izuku worry that Saitama could be made fun of for secretly having a quirk. Saitama was annoyed from his conversations with Aizawa, so it was good for him that he could take it out on something,
"I think you should stand back a bit." Saitama said. The students backed up a bit, but Aizawa kept his stance close to Saitama, knowing that Saitama had to have a quirk. Saitama then pumped himself up, yelling.
"Normal Throw!"
Saitama's legs were so strong that the impact left a crater in the ground. His throw also had such a strong wind pressure that some of the lighter heroes in class 1-A were blown into the wall, leaving a decent dent in the wall (besides Mineta, who left a small dent), and Aizawa, who was standing closer to the impact, not expecting Saitama to be that strong, was flown over 500 metres before stopping himself with his capture tape on a nearby tree.
Aizawa had no idea how he was blown back this far by what Saitama considered normal. He thought that Saitama must've been bluffing, as no one could be that strong. Whatever it was, Aizawa was unable to accept reality. He thought that the only reasonable solution was that a secret villain that All Might fought gave Saitama a quirk.
"This is Aizawa reporting in. Saitama can resist my quirk erasion." said Aizawa into the radio,
"Really? How can you be so sure?" asked Nezu.
"He threw the softball an infinite distance while I was attempting to erase his quirk." said Aizawa.
"How? That has to be impossible! The softball pitch was tested so that not even All Might could throw an infinite distance!" said Nezu.
"There's a chance he has cybernetic enhancements, but I doubt even Dr. Kuseno's work could be that strong… and he'd definitely notify us." said Aizawa.
"I'm going to go in and talk to Dr. Kuseno himself about Saitama's strength." said Nezu.
"Thank you Principal." Aizawa muttered.
"This matter makes me suspicious as well… i'll notify you as soon as possible." said Nezu as he got off his phone.
Back at the P.E fields, the dust had finally cleared, and Saitama said,
"Huh… that was a little abnormal."
All the students who hadn't observed Saitama's strength before were in awe of what he was able to do, and even with Eraser Head erasing his quirk.
"Fantastic work Saitama!" said Genos, who had already observed Saitama's strength numerous times before, and was not surprised by Saitama's feat.
"Thanks, but do you have any idea where Mr. Aizawa went?" asked Saitama, directing his focus of his question not solely at Genos but also at the rest of the class too.
"It's possible that your punch was so strong that Mr. Aizawa was knocked back far away from the school." said a female student with black hair.
"Momo Yaoyorozu." She bowed when saying her name as a symbol of respect to Saitama.
"Oh, thanks." said Saitama, as then one of the students looked out into the fields and said,
"Look! Aizawa's running back right now!"
Aizawa jumped onto the P.E field and said.
"So you really are quirkless?" asked Aizawa, as if to make him think that they were on his side.
"Why don't you believe me for once." said Saitama in a slightly annoyed tone, Aizawa sighed.
"It's pretty unnecessary for you to do any more tests, as you would get first in all of them." Aizawa groaned.
"HEY! Who's the judge of that?" yelled Bakugo, who thought that this would be his chance to prove that Saitama was really just an obstacle for him to climb.
"I am. He got an infinite distance on the ball throw, meaning that his strength is unbelievably high, to the point that testing him would just be a waste of time." said Aizawa, showing the value.
If the throw didn't surprise Class 1-A, then this swept them clean off their feet, with everyone, even Bakugo, with surprise being readable on every inch of the class's faces.
"Of course, this doesn't actually mean infinite, but an unquantifiable amount." said Aizawa.
"But it's still very impressive." What Aizawa left out was the fact that the device that showed Saitama's score was tested so that even All Might at 100% strength couldn't get infinite. Aizawa knew that he couldn't neutralize the threat himself, so he would need to side with Saitama for now.
The tests then started. With every test, Saitama took notes of all of the participants. The first place spot was Fubuki, who's psychic powers pretty much negated several elements of the test, the second place spot was belonging to Genos, who could compete in all physical tests extremely well, and third place was belonging to Todoroki, a fire and ice user.
Saitama also noticed that Izuku hadn't used his quirk in the first few events, so he decided to question him.
"Hey." said Saitama.
"O-oh… hey Saitama." said Izuku, who was surprised that Saitama wanted to talk to him again, despite that fact that he was an otaku.
"So, I noticed that you aren't using your quirk, why is that? It's a pretty amazing one." Izuku was flustered by Saitama's compliment, and attempted to respond twice before finally clearing his throat and responding with,
"Because I break all my bones in the area that I use my quirk." said Izuku. Saitama tried to think of a solution to this problem, but he barely could, so the only advice he could give was,
"Can't you just break less bones?" asked Saitama.
Izuku thought about this for two moments, before an imaginary lightbulb appeared above his head.
"That's it Saitama! You're a genius!" Izuku cheered.
"I am?" Saitama asked.
"Yeah! If I just use my quirk in a lower percentage of my body, let's say in just a finger, or in just a toe, then I'll be able to use it more!" said Izuku.
"Wow. I'm surprised you thought of something like that when I just stated the obvious! Great job Izuku!" said Saitama, impressed with Izuku's intellect.
"Heh, thanks Saitama." the boy mumbled as he ran to start his next test, with a new idea in his head.
Izuku was able to make a pretty decent place on each and every one of his tests after this due to the use of his quirk (besides repeated side jumps, which he couldn't use his quirk for). With Saitama's advice, Izuku was able to make it into 14th place on the exams.
"And that's all for today. Sonic isn't here today so he'll be tested tomorrow." said Aizawa, unimpressed by the fact that Sonic couldn't even make it into a class on time..
PLACEMENTS (for those who are curious): 1st Place: Fubuki | 2nd Place: Genos | 3rd Place: Todoroki | 4th Place: Bakugo | 5th Place: Yaoyorozu (this far back b/c she was hurt by Saitama's throw) | 6th: Ida | 7th Place: Tokoyami | 8th Place: Shoji | 9th: Ojiro | 10th: Uraraka | 11: Sato | 12th: Ashido | 13: Kirishima | 14: Midoriya | 15: Koda | 16: Tsuyu | 17: Aoyama | 18: Sero | 19: Kaminari | 20: Jiro | 21: Hagakure | 22: Mineta
"Please don't expel me sensei! I swear i'll do better next time! Please!" Mineta yelled, crying, not wanting to have his imaginary future harem disappear in an instant.
"Calm down. I didn't intend on expelling any of you in the first place." said Aizawa, as he went to go back inside with 1-A following him. Katsuki stayed behind though, and stopped Izuku from going further as well.
"Hey Deku! You little bastard! How come you decided to show off your quirk?" yelled Katsuki, pissed that Izuku hid something from him.
"Oh… Katchan! You know, it just developed late." said Izuku, who was panicking, as he didn't want to make a scene.
"You liar! You lied to me this entire time!" Katsuki continued to shout, before going to attack Izuku, and an explosion went off… but not one of Katsuki's.
"Hey! What's going on back here!" said Aizawa, noticing that an explosion went off. He saw Katsuki on the ground, and Genos holding him down in front of Izuku, who was shocked, and more still than a statue..
"Bakugo was just about to attack Izuku, sir. So I stopped the fight in the most logical way possible." said Genos. Aizawa thought for a moment, and then sighed, "I can't blame you for proper hero work Genos, so you won't get any detentions, you on the other hand Katsuki, one weeks worth."
In Aizawa's heart, he wanted to have punished Genos as bad as Katsuki, if not worse, but he didn't lack the brains to realize that this might dampen Dr. Kuseno's mood if Genos had got detention on the first day of class.
"Midoriya, you seem to be injured from your quirk." said Aizawa, "Go see the nurse."
Izuku nodded, and went inside from the entrance closest to the nurses office.
"Uraraka, go with Midoriya." said Aizawa, who was picking out a name at random.
"Yes sir!" said Ochaco, who ran behind Izuku. Genos then released Katsuki, who looked pissed at him, but turned around and walked faster. Genos, reminded of Izuku, walked up to Saitama, who was with Fubuki. He then began.
"The last time he used his quirk, he fully damaged his arm, but after your pep talk, he was able to use it without injury. How did you do that sensei?" asked Genos.
"I am also curious. How did you make Izuku use his quirk properly?" asked Fubuki, adding on to Genos' question.
"I just told him to break less bones, then he got the idea to only use his power in his fingers instead of his entire hand." said Saitama, Genos looked respectfully at Saitama and said.
"Yet another genius piece of advice from you, Saitama." Bowing while he said it.
"Wow, you were able to inspire him and make him use his own knowledge to make him get a better score." said Fubuki.
"I guess that's the best way of putting it." said Saitama, who also gained more respect from Fubuki. All Might then appeared around the corner of the school,
"Hello there." (General Kenobi) he said to the trio.
"A-All Might? What are you doing here?!" Fubuki half yelled in surprise, which All Might was used to. He just chuckled.
"I was wondering if I could talk to Saitama for a second." All Might requested.
"Uh, who are you?" asked Saitama.
"Saitama, that is All Might, the number one hero in Japan, debatably the world." said Genos. Saitama recognized All Might as strong instantly, and, while hoping for a fight, he said,
"All right then." All Might's smile widened.
"Meet me on the rooftops my boy!" said All Might, jumping up to the rooftops perfectly.
"You two should get going. I'll see you in class." said Saitama, who jumped up to the rooftops just as perfectly as All Might did.
"So, what did you need All Might?" asked Saitama.
"I saw that you helped out Young Midoriya today." said All Might, "And I also saw how strong you were." Saitama looked confused, wondering where All Might was going with this.
"I trust that you aren't working with any villains, and before I show you my secret, may you tell me the secret to your own power?" All Might asked.
"Oh, yeah sure." said Saitama, "It's not that grand of a tale though." All Might listened intently.
"Really, all I did was 100 pushups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats, and a 10 kilometer run every single day." Saitama began, "And apparently, that stress was so bad on my perfectly quirkless body that I broke something called a limiter." All Might realized that this time, Saitama was telling the truth, and not intentionally hiding any information from him, as the limiter was a device that Saitama wouldn't have known about unless he was related to it.
"Dr. Kuseno is still studying the nature of the limiter, but one thing is for sure, I can become as strong as I want with my limiter broken." said Saitama, before jumping to a state of childlike wonder.
"So? What's your secret?" All Might paused, and then went into his true form.
"Eh?" Was all Saitama could mutter, expecting some grand secret, but all it was was just a skinnier All Might.
"I'm going to tell you this now. I am still All Might… but I can only sustain being All Might for 3 hours at a time." said All Might.
"That timer was from an unknown villain three years ago." All Might then pulled up his shirt and showed Saitama.
"Half of my respiratory organs were destroyed." said All Might, "And that time has gotten shorter since i've transferred my quirk to Young Midoriya."
Saitama was confused, he had no questions about why the fact that Izuku had All Might's quirk was a secret, but confused as to why everything else was kept as a secret.
"Why is this that big of a secret?" he asked.
"It's a secret because of my quirk, One for All, having a purpose besides just being a quirk." said All Might, "It's goal is to defeat a villain by the name All for One, who is currently imprisoned. As well as this, I'd have thousands of people clamoring to get my quirk each and every day if I revealed what One for All is."
Saitama nodded, not getting what All Might was saying, but accepting of his logic.
"I'm telling you this so that you can help me Saitama." said All Might, "Let there be time for Young Midoriya to grow as the Ninth holder of my quirk. As One for All needs to grow inside of him to defeat All for One."
Saitama understood All Might wanted Izuku to grow, but Saitama was still curious.
"Why can't I just defeat All for One in One Punch like every other villain?" asked Saitama.
"If you did, All for One's quirk wouldn't be absorbed, and someone else would become the next All for One." said All Might.
"Help Midoriya grow for me, help him." continued All Might. Saitama didn't need to consider it, as a hero, his duties were clear.
"You can count me in All Might, what's first?" asked Saitama.
"Going to inform Midoriya that you know." said All Might.
The hospital room was a beautiful shade of blue. This was the first time Izuku and Ochaco had ever seen the hospital room. They were surprised that it looked just like a normal room with beds in it. The recovery girl was able to heal Izuku's injuries easily. Izuku just had to have his body catch up and he would be fine.
"Jeez Deku! You really are amazing!" said Ochaco, who was in the nurse's office with Izuku.
"O-oh… thanks Uraraka, b-but my name isn't Deku." said Izuku, who was thrilled to get a compliment from a girl.
"Really?" questioned Ochaco.
"Yeah. Kacchan just likes to call me Deku as an insult, as it means someone who is truly useless." said Izuku.
"Oh… well Deku sounds a lot like another word that means 'You can do it." said Ochaco cheerfully, not realizing it was an insult.
"I'm Deku!" said Izuku right after, which made Ochaco chuckle.
The door suddenly burst open, and All Might said,
"I am here!" Izuku, surprised, then yelled,
"W-woah! All Might! What are you doing here?!" Izuku's extreme surprise was halted slightly by the fact that Saitama was there beside All Might, which made Izuku curious.
"Care to have a chat?" asked All Might. Izuku hesitantly looked at Ochaco, who nodded, as Izuku then got up.
"S-sure All Might!" said Izuku, who got up and went with All Might to his office.
"Uraraka, I don't think i'll be coming back, so go back to class." said Izuku.
"O-oh! Okay Deku! See you later!" said Ochaco, as Izuku then went out of sight, starting to walk with Saitama and All Might to his office, "He really is amazing…"
As soon as they were inside, All Might got out of his muscle form. Izuku, mistaking this as an accident, starting to panic.
"W-woah! All Might, wha-" Izuku was soon cut off by All Might.
"It's all right Young Midoriya, I have informed Saitama of One for All, and my true form." said All Might, which made Izuku curious.
"Why is that All Might?" asked Izuku, knowing that Saitama was strong, but he had no idea as to why Saitama should know, as to him, Saitama was just another classmate and rival.
"Saitama's strength quite possibly surpasses anyone else on earth." said All Might, "And considering how he got you the idea to use OFA (abbreviated in text, not speech) only in your fingers, I think he would be a good person to help you train OFA, as he even got you to place fourteenth in the exams."
Izuku nodded, not necessarily agreeing with everything All Might was saying, not being able to accept that his mentor and the #1 hero could be outclassed by his fellow classmate.
"Saitama. Be sure to keep One for All, and my secret, safe at all costs." said All Might,
"OK." said Saitama blandly, not understanding the value of the secret, instead being more focused on remembering what he had for lunch today.
Since he couldn't remember, Saitama then asked,
"Is that all you needed All Might?"
"It is. You can now leave Saitama."
Saitama sighed, expecting something more than a weightless concept, but Saitama, being so powerful, didn't understand what position All Might held and how important it was to the hero society that OFA wasn't known publicly.
When Saitama had left, Izuku asked,
"All Might, are you sure that Saitama is-"
"Izuku, do you know why Dr. Kuseno is famous amongst the top heroes?"
Izuku thought about this for a moment, but he had never heard about Dr. Kuseno on any news websites, only on his more niche hero websites that he frequently visited in an attempt to find information on All Might, and if it was possible for him to become a hero with machines.
"No, i've never heard about him making any breakthroughs."
"That's because his top field of research is top secret. The research on the limiter."
"What's that?"
All Might hesitated before starting, knowing the immense trouble he could get into if anyone else found out, or if Nezu or Aizawa caught him giving Izuku research that only the top heroes currently had access to. He sighed, and began.
"The limiter is a basic device in every human being. It's a part of the human brain. The limiter will send signals from the brain to every organ in less than a millisecond, never allowing any human to grow past a finite limit."
"What does this have to do with Saitama?"
Izuku had already begun theorizing about Saitama's quirk, wondering if he had the ability to keep the limiter at bay for a short period of time, allowing him to neglect Aizawa's erasion. All Might then continued.
"Though, Dr. Kuseno has also shown us that it's possible to keep the limiter at bay. For example, when OFA's energy flows through my body, and I also have a high level of adrenaline flowing through my body, my limiter will temporarily break."
"So Saitama's quirk allows him to temporarily delay the limiter's signals!"
All Might shook his head.
"No, the limiter will continue limiting your growth after it's re-enabled. If Saitama's quirk was to delay the signals, he would be unable to withstand Aizawa's quirk erasion."
"Hey! How do you know about that?"
"The teachers were told to watch Saitama."
"Why?"
"Because, we were alerted that Saitama has the perfect body for one thing, breaking his limiter."
Izuku didn't think about this. No way, a guy without any limits at all? That couldn't be possible, any human would destroy themselves before they could get that strong.
"I can tell you're confused."
"How could he break his limiter without breaking a core function of his brain?"
"The theory is that Saitama was born with a disease still unnamed, that delays the limiters signals that it sends to any other part of his body."
"How can you be sure that this is what he has and it's not a quirk?"
"Quirks don't develop until the owner is 1 hour old, or with Mutation quirks at birth. Saitama, on the other hand, accidentally killed his mother upon being born, and his father abandoned her."
Izuku was unaware. He had no idea that Saitama had never been in kind hands, as a sudden wave of sympathy for the poor orphan rushed through his body. Izuku realized how bad it must've been to not have any love and affection as a child, and that's why Saitama was so emotionless.
"That was October 4th, and there was no visible mutation at birth, so it's impossible for him to have had a quirk. When he ran away from the orphanage at the age of 10, he started getting strong. I've even heard rumors he was a vigilante, but he broke his limiter during that time."
Izuku had a lot on his plate to take in. He had just learnt that Saitama wasn't just someone who went through life without any emotion, but someone who never had anyone to push and encourage his emotions.
"That's the theory anyways. Dr. Kuseno always attempts to get Saitama to break his limits, but hasn't succeeded in getting even a sweat drop off of Saitama."
"Alright All Might. I'll be sure to train with Saitama."
"Thank you young Midoriya. You can now return to your class."
Izuku nodded and left, going back to his classroom with a lot on his mind. All Might sighed and also left behind Midoriya, going to begin his class.
Saitama though, was lost. He somehow left U.A. and walked out to the courtyard, finding a villain standing outside,
"HEY! YOU U.A. STUDENT! I AM WARLOCK, THE NEW BIG THING! I'LL DESTROY YOU IN ONE SHOT!"
"OK."
Warlock then shot a blast of fire at Saitama, as Saitama stared blankly.
"TAKE THIS!"
Saitama then was confused, and used a normal punch, which instantly destroyed the fireball, as it exploded on Saitama's air pressure impact, as well as also knocking back the villain and knocking him out.
"Oh, that was all?"
Saitama then turned away and walked back into the building, attempting to find his class.
RANDOM VILLAIN #2: WARLOCK : Warlock is a wizard with the quirk to obviously generate various types of elements. Warlock focuses primarily on explosions, but he can use various other spells, such as water spells and lightning spells, but these have a much weaker effect than his explosions.
