Chapter-2

A little different this time

Harry watched as his soulmate and fellow time traveler scribbled furiously on the parchment. Both of them were in the room of requirements right now, discussing about the plans for the future. Hermione was making a list of magic they should start learning.

When he woke up that morning, he panicked and thought that everything that has happened the previous day was a dream and he had to go back to reality. That's when he felt Hermione's presence in his mind, soothing him and assuring him that everything was real.

Both of them met up in the common room and went to the room of requirements. Harry got an idea before summoning the room. A brilliant idea, he thought proudly. He asked the room for a time chamber, where time goes slower than the world around them. Both he and Hermione thought it was really brilliant as it gave them a huge advantage.

Hermione proceeded to reward him with a nice snog. They didn't put any restrictions on how far to go in intimate way, as both their minds were more mature. But they decided not to take their physical relationship further until they were both comfortable in their younger bodies.

"Is there anything else you want to add?" His soulmate asked bringing him out of his musings.

"Why don't you go through list one more time? We'll notice if we missed anything." He said. She nodded and read through the list.

Harry peeked into her mind and went through the list along with her. "Advance battle transfiguration, alchemy, warding, healing, dark arts training, Animagus training and physical activity. Anything else?"

"Nope, that's it." Harry said out loud. As much as he was fascinated by the mental link, he preferred normal speaking when they were alone. He wanted to hear her voice.

Silence followed his words. Next was the topic, both of them were dreading to speak of. The betrayal of Weasleys. Both of them were in happy mood and he didn't want to ruin it by talking about those animals. But he had to. He had to talk and make plans for them.

"So..." Hermione started.

"You wanna talk about it?" Harry asked.

"We need to."

"Hmm." Silence continued again. Both of them didn't know what to speak. As Harry started thinking, one by one each and every memory started to play in his head and tears began welling up. He instinctually reached for his soul mate wrapped her in a hug.

"Oh Harry." She whispered and turned in his arms to hug him properly. Harry didn't even realize he was crying until he felt a wet patch of his tears on her shoulder. Then he noticed she was crying too, when he felt wet patch of her own tears on his shoulder.

Hermione pulled him tighter into hug and he reciprocated by tightening his own arms. Harry dove into her mind and checked how she was feeling.

What he saw was heart wrenching. He saw sorrow, grief, guilt and anger. She watched everything he suffered from the heavens and he suffered so much that, even heaven was like hell for her.

Harry then understood why she really wanted to come back. She wanted revenge. Not for what they did to her. But for what they did to him. He felt so warm despite her sorrow and buried his head in her hair. Then he sent all his warm and love into her mind and pleased to see her mood brightening. Harry pulled back lightly and kissed on her forehead.

"We are going to get our revenge love. Not for just what they did to you, or me. For what they did to us." Harry said. She nodded and held him tightly.

After a sweet kiss on lips, both of them parted. Harry relished the feeling of her lips on his. He could get addicted to it. From her expression, he could tell that she was feeling the same.

"We still need to talk." Hermione said. Harry nodded solemnly. Even after all these years. After all this time. He still had a hard time believing that they betrayed him. In a corner of his mind, he still saw Weasleys as his unofficial family. Everyday when he went to sleep, he used to hope that when he'll be waking up back in the normal life and everything that has happened was only a dream.

"You know what?" Hermione's voice broke the silence again. "The Weasleys initially didn't plan to do everything that. They never planned to kill me or frame you as a dark lord since the beginning. Their plan was to gain your fortune by Ginny marrying. At one point, Ginny really had feelings for you."

"What?"

"Yes. The main culprit in all this is neither Ron nor Ginny. It's Molly. She groomed her own daughter to become a gold digger so that she'll end up with some wealthy person and she can get access to that wealth through her daughter. She always carries impression like she does not want any money and all she wants was a happy life with her children. But the thing is, Molly is the greediest of the whole family.

"She was born in the wealthy family of Prewett. But all their family wealth was lost when she was a teen, sometime during the start of the first war. She married Arthur because he was part of sacred twenty eight and she thought he was wealthy. But her dreams were shattered when she realized that Weasleys were lower middle class despite their blood status. But she couldn't marry anyone else, because no one else wanted her.

"Her dream was to be rich. But she never admitted that out. She realized that she can be rich, if she has a gold digging daughter. That was the main reason why Weasleys gave birth to so many children. They kept trying until they got a girl."

"Oh." Harry said. He wanted to know how Hermione knew all this. But he didn't want to break her flow.

"She groomed her daughter to be a gold digger. However, when Ginny developed a crush on you, Molly thought why not, why can't it be the boy who lived? That was probably the only time Ginny ever had honest feelings for you.

"When she realized that Ron was going to be in the same year as you, she manipulated Ron into making friends with you. She gave him clear instructions about not to let anyone else befriend you and he almost succeeded."

Harry smiled at her. "But he couldn't stop you." He said. She smiled back at him.

"Yes. He couldn't stop me. And that was what infuriated Molly the most. I was in a position in which she wanted Ginny to be and she couldn't beat that. She did her best to make you stay closer to Ron than me. After knowing about your home life, she tried to manipulate you emotionally. She made you an unofficial member of the family to gain your trust and she abused that trust as much as she could. From fourth year onwards, when you gave her your gringotts key, she even stated stealing from your vault." Harry grimaced at that. Hermione gently squeezed his hand.

After third year, Molly realized that there is no use in trying to separate both of us. So she made different plans for me. Since Ron started noticing girls, she promised me to him. Though I doubt if Ron readily agreed. He had very low opinion of me." Harry clenched his jaw and his hand that was not holding Hermione, balled into a fist.

"Didn't you ever noticed the pattern they always invited us to Burrow?"

"Er-no."

"Look at this. From the summer after third year, every time they invite me to the burrow - or Grimmauld place before you. Molly wanted to make you feel like an outsider between me and Ron, so that you drift away from us and Ginny could get close to you.

It makes sense, Harry thought as he pondered on it.

"But their plan didn't work as you never saw Ginny as a potential girlfriend material. Instead of drifting towards Ginny, you started dating Cho. That's when Molly decided to use potions. The summer after fifth year, she started using love potions on us. That's when we started having feelings towards both of them."

"Wait. If that was the case, why did both of them started dating Ginny and Lavender?"

"That's Molly's plan again. She wanted us to get desperate for her kids. To make us jealous and desperate for them-"

"So that when we get together in the end, we'll be even more desperate to let them go." Harry finished her.

"Exactly. Molly's plan was really a brilliant one if I must say. She used Ron and Ginny in the best way to achieve her dream." Harry scowled at it. "And all this time, she showed herself as a person who never cares about money. And you know what? Arthur and Bill even urged her a few times to take advantage of you and steal some money. Even though she was already doing the same, she acted like a saint in front of them and denied them." Harry's scowl deepened.

A doubt crept into his mind. How did Ron got Lavender attracted to him?

"He used love potions on her too. Hers were stronger and increased her lust. That's why all they did was nothing but snog and shag." Hermione said, sensing his doubt. Harry's growled in his anger at Ron. He also felt very sorry for Lavender.

"Bastard." Harry muttered.

"I couldn't agree any less." Hermione said.

Hermione then took a deep breathe and straightened her pose. Harry thought she was going to tell something important.

"Do you remember what happened after Ron left us during the horcrux hunt?" Hermione asked in a slow, low, but clear voice. Harry nodded, recalling the events. For the first few days both of them spent most of the time brooding and barely spoke anything to each other. But then they got over it and started actively searching again. On one day, when Hermione was brooding again, Harry started playing some song and pulled her for a dance and at the end of the dance they-

Harry's eyes widened when he remembered what happened. Hermione leaned towards him and cupped his face.

"Yes Harry. We kissed. We admitted we loved each other got together that night." She leaned her forehead against kiss.

Harry clearly remembered everything that happened. But suddenly nothing was making any sense to him. He remembered kissing her, telling her that he loved her and making love to her. It was real. But why didn't they continue on like that?

"Memory charms." Hermione said darkly. "We were both obliviated of it and Ron started dosing us with potions again when he came back. When Ron went back and told Molly what happened, she predicted that we'll get together. She made Ron master the obliviate charm in those couple of months. When he came back, he just did that and then started dosing our food with potions again."

Harry lost it at that moment. His anger reached new heights and the table in front of them shattered into millions of pieces.

Hermione pressed her face to his and soothingly rubbed his arms and shoulders. He calmed down a little at that.

"That-That little son of a bitch!" Hermione gave a dark chuckle.

"That he is." She said.

"How do I remember it now?"

"Obliviation works only when you are alive. All of your wiped memories will come back when you die." Harry nodded.

"How do you know all of this Hermione?" Harry asked pulling back from her.

"When I-I-When I died, I met with your parents. They told me everything that has happened. They have been watching you all the time." She said. Harry gave a sad smile and looked up towards the ceiling. Hermione squeezed his hand again.

"After Voldemort died, both of us started dating Ron and Ginny. Molly were living the life she always dreamed of. All her children were successful and were earning a lot. You, under the effects of potions, gave all the Weasleys access to your wealth. They were all famous as war heroes and also rich. It was during that time, Molly told Arthur about everything. She told him about her plan and how she was secretly stealing from you." Harry snorted at it.

"Together, Arthur, Molly, Ginny and Ron enjoyed a lot on your wealth. However, now independent Ron and Ginny, who were making their own decisions, soon got greedier. They were already cheating behind our backs and wanted us completely out of the picture so they can enjoy the fortune freely. This is where Malfoy and Bill comes in. Malfoy was one of the people Ginny was cheating on you. She told him of her plan and Malfoy readily agreed to help her. The reason Ginny selected Malfoy was because he was equally wealthy as you. She planned on digging her claws on both Malfoy and Potter fortunes.

"Then she pulled Bill into the picture. Bill was always a greedy person and Ginny knew this better than anyone. He trapped Fleur in a similar way Ron and Ginny trapped us. However, since Fleur had Veela blood, he used dark magic on her. He too readily agreed when Ginny told her plan to him. He added killing Fleur to the plan so that they can get Delacour wealth too." Harry gave a grim nod. He knew all the remaining story. He won't be surprised if they killed George and Angie, only to take over the wealth of his shop.

"Arthur and Molly were actually against murdering. In the end Ginny got her way with her parents. She was also planning on killing Draco to get Malfoy fortune. At the same time, Malfoy was planning on eliminating the entire of Weasley family to get Potter fortune. That's why both of them had a kid together-"

"So that the kid inherits the whole wealth and they can keep the kid when one of them murders the other." Harry said. That wasn't surprising.

"We're going to make them pay for everything." Harry spoke after a moment of silence, his voice dipped in venom. "For their every goddamn sin. I don't care if they haven't done it yet. They are still the same people who are going to do it." Hermione nodded.

"But we can't just go and lash out them all. We need carefully laid out plan and we should strike so bad that they can never ever heal from it." Hermione said with equal amount of venom.

They cuddled closer and held each other tightly. No words were spoken as they just stuck together and comforted each other. They calmed down after staying like that for a while. They had many other things to discuss and they should move forward.

"What's next?" Harry asked.

"Sirius' innocence." Hermione replied.

They continued to make plans for their future and how to handle everything that they failed last time.

"Shall we go to the kitchens for breakfast?" Hermione asked.

"No. I should not hide. Let's go to great hall only." Hermione nodded.

"I think this time more people are going to believe you."

"Really?"

"Really. You put some convincing show yesterday. Most of the people believe you this time. You know, you can try in movies after Hogwarts. You really are a good actor." Hermione said with a glint in her eyes.

"Thank you my lady. I'll think about your suggestion." He said with a chuckle.

"And Harry," Hermione spoke after a few seconds. "You should write to Sirius about this."

"Right." He said. "I'll do that immediately after breakfast."

Both of them went hand in hand to breakfast. Though they woke up early, they came at normal time to the breakfast.

All eyes turned towards them when they entered. Most of the eyes then shifted towards their clasped hands. Many people who noticed them holding hands, turned towards their friends to show that.

Harry and Hermione ignored them and went and sat at the Gryffindor table. They decided to sit near the teachers' end, incase if anyone tried to do something.

Fred and George approached them halfway through the breakfast. Harry ignored them and continued with his breakfast.

Fred spoke up first. "Umm, Harry? Can we talk to you?" He asked.

Harry stopped eating and looked at him. With a neutral expression, he said, "Yes?"

"It's just..." George pause. "Fred and I wanted to apologize you. We thought that you entered yourself into the tournament and didn't listen to you. We're really sorry for that." George said.

Harry regarded both of them for a moment before a smile broke out on his face. "Apology accepted." He said.

Both of them smiled back at him. "Thank you Harrykins."

"Yeah Harrykins, thanks for forgiving."

"And also, incase you need any help in the future,-"

"-Don't hesitate to ask us. You can always count on us." They said.

"Thanks guys, that means a lot." He said at them.

"We heard that other houses are not pleased with your inclusion." Fred said.

"They too think, that you cheated somehow to enter the tournament." George said.

"So stay vigilant all the time." Harry gave both of them a smile and then nodded.

"That I will." He said.

"Well, we gotta get going." Fred said.

"See you later both of you." George said and the twins left.

Harry and Hermione smiled at each other and then checked their foods for anything suspicious.

They knew they should never trust Fred and George completely. They were after all the best pranksters. They found both their goblets of pumpkin juice were spiked.

"Ah, they found it less handsome brother." They heard a voice from behind. Harry immediately cast a couple of finites and cancelled the disillusionment charms of twins.

"They found us too less intelligent brother." Other twin said.

"And that means we should leave now." First one said as he looked at Hermione drawing her wand to hex them. They both ran away as fast as they could. Both Harry and Hermione shared an amused laugh at it.

Suddenly the post owls flew in. A brown owl brought the copy of daily prophet to Hermione. She gave it a knut and picked up the prophet.

"The front page is completely dedicated to the tournament. The article is pretty good. Not inclined in your support nor bashing you." Hermione said.

"It isn't Rita Skeeter?" Harry asked. Hermione shook her head.

"Look they also mentioned about Ron and Malfoy." Hermione said showing the last para of the article. There was no photograph though.

Ron chose exactly that moment to enter the great hall. He came and sat beside Hermione. Hermione scowled at him and scooted closer towards Harry. She made a face as he piled huge amount of food in his plate and started eating disgustedly.

Through the breakfast, many other Gryffindors came to Harry and apologized to him and offered him help like the twins did. Harry graciously accepted their apologies. Ron frowned every time someone approached them.

Harry noticed when Madame Maxime was exiting the great hall.

"I think I should go apologize to her and Dumbledore. They were a bit offended when I called the tournament stupid." Harry said as he finished his breakfast. Hermione was still eating.

"I don't think there is a need for that, Harry. It's not a big deal. I'm sure they don't even remember being offended by your comment." Hermione said.

"I know. But it'll help to ease some tension." Harry said. Hermione looked thoughtful for a moment and nodded.

"You're right." She said.

"Very well then. I'll go speak to her and Dumbledore. Wait for me in the library." He said raising up from his seat. He scowled when he saw Ron finished eating and was reading Hermione's copy of prophet. He was also a bit surprised at how fast Ron completed eating.

"Wait. Also ask Dumbledore for a copy of tournament's rule book." Hermione said. Harry nodded and kissed her cheek before he left. Hermione blushed a little. Ron raised an eyebrow at it.

He too leaned and kissed her cheek, as he rose to leave the great hall. Hermione jerked away from him and rubbed her cheek with her hand.

"Why did you do that?" She asked.

"You didn't complain when Harry did it." Ron said accusingly.

Hermione sighed. It's time to reveal him. She thought to herself. She wished if Harry was here.

"I didn't complain because, Harry is now my boyfriend." Hermione said. Ron's jaw hit the floor at it.

"Shit love, why are you doing this without me?"

"What else you expect me to?"

"Wait there, I'm coming right now."

"There's no need for that. I can handle."

"But I want a fight!"

"Just shut up and go meet Maxime."

"But-"

"No buts". Hermione replied and raised her mental shields.

"B-Boyfriend?" He asked.

"Yes. He and I are dating now. We got together yesterday before the feast."

"You're joking." Ron said.

"No Ron, I'm not." Hermione snapped.

By now everyone around them were looking at them with interest. Even McGonagall seemed a bit interested as she leaned a little to listen to the conversation.

"B-But, But..."

"But what Ron?" Hermione asked.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Ron asked. That wasn't the question Hermione expected. She thought he'd say something like Harry's supposed to be with Ginny or she was supposed to be with him.

"Why should we?" Hermione replied coldly.

"I'm your bestfriend!." Ron complained.

"Really? If you were, you'd have believed him when he said he didn't put his name in the Goblet." Hermione said. She heard Malfoy snort at her from Slytherin table. Apparently he too was listening to them. He then cracked some joke and Crabbe and Goyle burst out laughing looking at her between the laughs.

"Besides, it's not like you've told us about your boyfriend." Hermione said pointing at Malfoy. People around them laughed. Ron went red at it.

Malfoy listened it too, as he too had gone completely red. "How dare you filthy mudblood!" He shouted as he drew his wand and sent a curse at her, before she reacted. The curse hit her square on her face. Malfoy looked smug, as her teeth began to grow uncontrollably. It felt like Déjà vu for her. She was also thankful for raising her mental shields from Harry at the moment. He'll probably cause even more scene. She sent a non verbal finite to her teeth and they stopped growing.

"Mister Malfoy!" McGonagall roared at him. He froze in his spot.

"Miss Brown, take Miss Granger to the hospital wing immediately." She said to Lavender.

She turned to Malfoy. "And you Mister Malfoy, twenty points from Slytherin and week detentions with Filch." She said.

"B-But, she started it." He complained.

"I saw everything Mister Malfoy. You had no right to attack your fellow student with a curse like that." She said. "Now if I hear any more arguments, your punishment will increase." Malfoy snapped his mouth shut at it.

Olympe Maxime was in her office in Beauxbatons ship, talking with her school's champion Fleur Delacour about the tournament. She was very much frustrated about the whole fourth champion fiasco. She was confused whether she should believe Harry Potter or not. He seemed very genuine about it. But, she couldn't find any reason to why someone else would enter his name.

If that strange man Moody's words were true, then not only him, her own champion will be in danger. She shuddered at the thought. Fleur was her favorite student and she also had a good relationship with her in parents too.

(A/N: Bold letters are spoken in French shown as English.)

She heard someone knock on her door.

"Enter." She said. A blonde girl poked her head inside.

"Madame Maxime, Harry Potter is here to see you. He says, he want to talk to you." Her eyebrows rose at it. She wondered what he wanted to talk with her.

"Send him in." She said. The girl nodded and left. She shared an amused glance at Fleur and shrugged her shoulders.

Harry was waiting in some kind of waiting room. He told a blonde girl that he wanted to talk to Madame Maxime. The girl asked him to wait there and went somewhere. He had some nagging feeling inside his head that something was wrong with Hermione. But he pushed that thought aside. He convinced himself that it was a silly worry. He knew that Hermione was able to protect herself and she'd call for him if there was any problem.

He looked up as the blonde girl came back.

"Follow me." She said. Harry obliged. She led him to the door of what looked like Maxime's office.

"Madame Maxime ees inside." She said and went away.

He knocked on the door.

"Enter." He heard her say. He opened the door and went inside to find Fleur was also there. He was a bit surprised to see her.

"Greetings Madame Maxime-Miss Delacour."

"Monsieur Potter, Please take a seat." Madame Maxime greeted back. Fleur just nodded in acknowledgement.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Maxime asked.

"Yes Madame Maxime. I wanted to apologize to you." He said. Both Maxime and Fleur raised their eyebrows.

"Yesterday night, I lost control of myself and said some words. I am extremely sorry if my words offended you." He said. "I also want to apologize you for all that happened yesterday. I know it was not fair to neither your school nor your champion. But, I assure you Madame Maxime, neither I nor Hogwarts management have any intentions to cheat. And I'm once again really sorry for everything."

Both ladies in the room were surprised by it. They both looked at him with sharp eyes, whether he was being honest or not in his apology.

Harry held his head high and confident.

"You don't need to apologize Monsieur Potter. Eet was not your fault. I accept your apology however, if zat makes you feel better." Maxime said.

"You believe me mam?" Harry asked. She nodded.

"I do. Monsieur Moody was right. Eet takes high power and knowledge to confund ze Goblet into selecting a fourth champion." Maxime said. "I also understand your anger. If anyone should apologize, eet should be us, for calling you cheater."

"Oh no Madame Maxime, you should not apologize. Your anger is understandable and I don't blame you for thinking that I cheated somehow. Everyone else thought the same too." He said. She nodded at him.

"If zere was anyone who was offended by your words, eet was Karkaroff." She said.

"I'm not apologizing him though. He crossed the line yesterday. If anyone looks like cheating in the tournament, it is him." Harry said. Both Maxime and Fleur snorted.

"No arguments from me." Fleur said.

"Ees zere anything else, Monsieur Potter?" Maxime asked. Harry shook his head.

"That's all for now mam." Harry said as he rose from his chair. "Thank you for accepting my apology mam and I wish best of luck to you and your champion."

"Best of luck to you as well." Maxime said.

"Thank you." He said. "See you, mam, Miss Delacour." Harry said as he left the room.

"Can you tell Headmaster that I wanted to meet him?" Harry asked the stone gargoyle guarding Headmaster's office.

The gargoyle slid aside to let him inside. He climbed the stairs and went to the door.

"Enter." Dumbledore said, before he knocked the door. Harry opened the door and went inside.

"Good morning sir." Harry said as he entered the office.

"Ah, Good morning Harry. Come, have a seat."

"I'm certainly not having a good morning sir."

"I can Understand." Dumbledore said. "Lemon drop?" Harry shook his head.

"I'm really sorry for yesterday Harry. I honestly didn't expect something like this to happen." Dumbledore said.

"Any idea on who did it sir?" Harry asked. Dumbledore shook his head.

"Who ever did it, has done a good job in erasing his/her magical signature. No clues were left for who did it." Dumbledore said.

"I think it is someone inside. Someone who can access the goblet without any suspicion." Harry said.

"Our thoughts exactly." Dumbledore said.

Harry shuffled his feat and squirmed in his seat. "What is it Harry?" Dumbledore asked.

"It's-Umm.. It's just... I was thinking about what Professor Moody said." Harry said.

"Ah! Alastor is always a paranoid man Harry. He thinks everything around him is trying to kill him. You don't need to worry about him."

"But all his arguments makes some sense! Everything fits in." Harry said. "I told you about my dream sir. What if Voldemort is the one that's doing this?!" He asked, panic clear in his eyes. Dumbledore looked taken aback when Harry mentioned about his dream. But he composed himself immediately.

"Don't worry much Harry. As long as you are at Hogwarts, you are safe. I assure you about that. I'm going to request the ministry to increase the security if that makes you feel better."

Harry snorted in his head. As long as you are at Hogwarts, you are safe, what a joke it was. Nonetheless, he maintained his expression and gave small nod. Harry also knew that he made the man concerned. He could see that Dumbledore himself feared that something might happen and his words were only to assure him. Even he wasn't sure himself.

"Is there anything else Harry?"

"Actually sir, I'm here to ask you for the tournament's rule book." Harry said.

"Ah yes, Let me get you." Dumbledore said as he got up and went to a shelf. He brought a booklet from there and gave it to Harry.

"There aren't many rules specified as the tasks are not announced yet. This booklet won't contain any information beyond what you already know." Dumbledore said. Harry nodded and took it.

"Thank you sir." Harry said.

"Is there anything else?" Dumbledore asked. Harry shook his head.

"Very well then. I wish you a good time." He said. Harry nodded and left.

Harry walked fastly to the library. He was almost running. He was fuming at Malfoy for hexing Hermione. Lavender told him about it when they crossed their paths. He wanted to give a sound hexing to Malfoy. Lavender also told him that Hermione was already taken care of. But, he can't stay calm until he sees her.

He was also a little angry at Hermione for not letting him know. She completely closed her mental shields and was not letting him enter her mind. He was waiting for her to open the connection. Suddenly he heard her voice in his mind.

"I need your help love. Come to library as fast as you can." She said. Harry immediately started sprinting at it.

"I'm already on my way love." He replied. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He wondered if someone was giving her trouble again.

He entered the library and ran towards her usual spot. He was taken aback when he saw Viktor Krum, trying to build a conversation with an uncomfortable looking Hermione. It did not look good.

"Hermione." He called out. He could see the immediate relief in her face on hearing his voice. She turned towards him. He went to her and dropped his bag on the table. He cupped her cheek and pulled her into a kiss. He kissed her passionately, to make the picture clear to Krum. She too responded with equal passion. He pulled back after a full minute.

"I heard that Malfoy attacked you. Are you alright?" He asked.

"I'm alright Harry. It was just a teeth growing hex. Nothing harmful. I immediately went to Madam Pomfrey and it wasn't something she couldn't fix." She said. Harry nodded. He then looked at Viktor.

"Mister Krum." He said.

"Potter." He replied coldly. Harry raised an eyebrow at it. This was a bit different from last time. The Bulgarian mostly ignored him during last time. He also made his first move on Hermione only after the ball was announced.

"Shall we go?" Harry asked, slipping his arm around her waist.

"Yes." She said, wrapping her arms around his mid section.

"It was nice meeting you Mr. Krum." Hermione said as she and Harry maid their way to exit.

Harry felt Viktor's glare on his back as they left library.

"Now tell me what exactly happened?" Harry asked as they were out of earshot from anyone else.

"Ron saw you kissing my cheek. He decided to copy that when he was about to leave. I asked why he did it and he shot back that I didn't complain when you kissed. I said you were my boyfriend. Then he asked why we didn't tell him as we were supposed to be his bestfriends. I said he too never told us about his boyfriend.-" Harry snorted at it. "-Malfoy listened to it and hexed me before I could react." She finished.

"Before you could react?" Harry asked incredulously. "But, you are far more faster than him."

"I forgot I didn't have a holster in my fourth year." Hermione explained.

"And why didn't you tell me?" Harry asked accusingly.

"Its not a big deal Harry. It was just a teeth growing hex. Besides, it was the great hall and there were teachers to take care of it... And this also helped me adjust my teeth." She said with a smile.

"You don't need to grow them hugely, so that you can fix them to normal." Harry said. "And never have your mental shields up when we are away from each other." Harry said in a 'no more arguments' tone. She smiled at him and nodded. He leaned and gave her a peck on lips.

"And what was that about Viktor?" He asked. "Last time he made a move on you- it was only after yule ball was announced."

"I don't know. Last time he was also sweet and polite with me. But he is a little... aggressive this time." She said.

"Aggressive?"

"I mean, he's actively trying to flirt me. Like a playboy."

"Oh"

"You arrived when I was about to say that I was dating you."

"I'm sure he still got the picture though."

"Indeed."

"What next?" Harry asked as they continued walking.

"Have you sent the letters yet?" Harry shook his head.

"Then lets get to it."

They went into an empty classroom to write a letter. Harry was worried that Sirius will come directly to Hogsmeade again like last time. He decided to write the letter carefully and make sure that he won't barge at Hogsmeade the next day.

Padfoot,

You told me to keep you posted on what's happening at Hogwarts, so here goes - I don't know if you've heard, but the Triwizard Tournament's happening this year and on Saturday night I got picked as a fourth champion. I don't who put my name in the Goblet of Fire, because I didn't. The other Hogwarts champion is Cedric Diggory, from Hufflepuff.

I know you're worried about me. But please don't do something stupid in order to protect me. I already have enough to worry about. Please don't give me more. I'll stay in touch and keep you updated about everything.

I am telling you again and again. Please stay low. I already talked with Dumbledore and he said they're going to increase the security. So I'm perfectly safe here. You don't need to take any risks to get nearer to me.

Take care.

Love,

Harry.

Harry took a good look at the letter. He hoped this will keep him away for the time being. Hopefully, his name will be cleared within a month soon and there won't be any need to worry about him.

He looked at Hermione. She was writing the other letter they were planning to send. He sighed as she watched her. She looked so beautiful. She started biting her lip as she wrote the letter.

"Hey! Only I get to do that." He said.

"Do what?"

"Biting your lip." She grinned at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry Harry. It's like a habit to me. I do that on reflex. I'll try to stop doing it." She said.

"Every time you do it, you should pay some compensation." He said with a mock seriousness. The edges of his lips were curling upwards though.

"Oh, what would that be?" She asked with a sultry smile.

"I'll tell you later. Finish the letter first." He said. She went back to writing the letter. He saw her purposefully biting her lip.

"You're doing that again."

"I'm really sorry Harry. I didn't notice. Guess I should pay more compensation then." She flashed a grin at him and went back to the letter.

After she finished, they went to the owlery. They sent the letter to Sirius with a school owl while they sent the other letter with Hedwig.

They went to the Room of Requirements. After fifteen minutes of Hermione paying compensation to Harry, both of them went to studying. Hermione quizzed him on Arithmancy and Runes. Even if he didn't take the course during last time, he had some idea in those subjects. He knew the basic theories well enough to join her in the class. But he also knew that what he knew wasn't going to be enough. He needed to learn more and gain more knowledge. The time chamber was going to be a boon for both of them. They'll be having lot of time to learn new things.

A few minutes after Harry left Dumbledore's office:

"You called me Albus?" Bartimaeus Crouch Jr, disguised as Alastor Moody, asked, entering into the headmaster's office.

"Yes." Albus said. "Lemon drop?"

"Will you ever stop asking that?" Crouch-Moody asked. "You know that I don't eat it."

"I can at least hope." Albus chuckled. "I wonder why no one takes it when I offer it." Crouch-Moody chuckled at it.

"I guess you didn't call me to offer lemon drops?"

"No." Albus sighed. "Alastor old friend, I have a couple of tasks for you to do."

"What is it?"

"It's about Harry's inclusion in the tournament. First, I want you to help him train." Albus said.

"I was going to do that myself. Don't worry, I'll help him." Faux Moody said.

"Thank you." Albus said, smiling at the defense professor.

"And the other?"

Albus sighed and took a deep breathe before speaking. "I'm really concerned about Harry's inclusion in this tournament. I think it's Voldemort who's doing this." Albus said.

"What makes you think that?"

"There are signs."

"What signs?" Albus thought Alastor was being too eager. But he waved it off.

"It doesn't matter. I requested Amelia to increase the security to the school and the tasks." Albus said.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Amelia and I want you to be in charge of the security." Albus said.

Moody gave a curt nod. "We need to be very vigilant. Especially during the tasks. You'll be given some extra privileges as the security head and it'll be easier for you to train Harry too."

Crouch had a hard time hiding his excitement. He gave a quick nod.

"Good. Amelia will be visiting tomorrow with a couple of aurors. We'll discuss everything in a greater detail then." Albus said.

Crouch-Moody got up from his chair and bid farewell to the headmaster before turning around. He couldn't prevent a grin this time though.

A/N: Thanks for the positive response. It really made my day. And sorry for late update. I was preparing for my exams, so I didn't have much time to update. Updates will be a little slower for the next couple of months as the exams are very important for me. Once they are over, I'm a free bird. So please tolerate till then. I hope you like the way the story is heading. Please review, and also wish me luck for my exams.
