It was Sunday night and Victoria was hanging out with Liam in his room. He was playing guitar and she was doodling an elaborate design for the new desk she planned on building with Luke. Liam plopped onto his bed next to her watching her draw. "Victoria if I don't do this, I'm going to regret it." he said. Victoria faced him, her head on her arms, "Whatcha talking about?" she asked. "I like you, Tor. I really do." he said whispering and leaning into her. Victoria blushed, she liked him too, but never wanted to be the first to admit it, "I like you too." she said. Liam smiled, "I'd really like to kiss you." he said and Victoria leaned in, granting him permission. The couple shared their first kiss and Victoria was experiencing her first kiss ever. The kiss linger and Liam pulls away, "I should walk you home, it's getting late. I need Lorelai on my good side." he said. VIctoria nodded and agreed. The couple walked home, hand in hand, "Let's plan a date soon, a real date." Liam said. "I'd like that. See you tomorrow, Liam." she said as she let go of his hand and kissed his cheek. Her family was inside getting ready for bed. "Victoria?" Lorelai yelled down the stairs, "Yes, mom. Liam walked me home." she yelled. Victoria took the silence as an acceptable answer. She walked over to Rory's room and knocked, "I wanted to say good luck, sis. You wont need it, you'll do great." she said and as she began to turn away. Rory answered, "Thanks, Tori. I needed that. I needed to hear everything you said." she referred to the lecture her sister had given her Friday night. Victoria nodded and walked upstairs. She wanted to tell her sister about her kiss but she knew tonight wasn't the night for that. Tomorrow she would tell her. But, she first had to break the news to Lorelai. Victoria knocked on her mothers closed door, "Mom, I gotta tell you something." she sang. Lorelai responded, "Well come on in offspring." as Victoria opened the door, she patted her bed, invited her daughter to join her. "Whats up?" Lorelai asked while fixing Victoria's hair. "Liam kissed me." she blurted out. "I got my first kiss." Victoria squealed and Lorelai was shocked but not surprised, she saw this coming from Liam. The kid worshiped the ground Victoria walked on. "Look who finally got the courage! Well you do know now he has to come over for the official meeting of the mother, I." Lorelai said. Victoria whined, "You've known him since he was 5. We played in the same kiddie pool!" she said. Lorelai held one finger up, "ah, ah, ah, that was before he kissed you, you know the deal." she said. Victoria smiled. "Yes, I do." as she held out her hand for a shake and Lorelai shook her hand. "I wanted to tell you before I went to bed. Good night mom." she said, "Thank you, sweets." Lorelai said. As soon as Victoria left, Lorelai fell into her bed, letting out a huge sigh. "There goes one," she whispered.
The next morning, Victoria had woken up early to meet up with Liam at the bridge. She noticed her mother wasn't up yet, she didn't want her to be late for Rory's first day. She knew her sister would have a fit. She knocked on her mothers door and came in, "Hey Mom, wake up. You're usually up by now. Your fuzzy alarm didn't go off." She said. Lorelai opened her eyes and immediately threw the clock at the wall once she saw the time. "Thank you!" She said. "Also, brought your dry cleaning last night when I was out with Liam!" Victoria said as she walked away, "They are downstairs!" Lorelai gasped, "You are my favorite child!" She yelled down the stairs. Victoria winked, "don't you forget it." and walked out the door.
The two Lorelais were looking up at the massive building that was Chilton. "Why does it seem bigger? Did the gargoyles grow?" Lorelai asked. Rory laughed, uneasily, "Come on, we can't be late." she said as she got out of the Jeep. As soon as they walked into the headmasters office, Emily Gilmore was there in all her glory. "Wanted to see Rory on her first day!" she said smiling.
Rory was relieved she was out of the office, away from her family, and on her own. She couldn't wait to venture out to the halls. That is until she met Paris in History, until she received the binder of notes that could last a lifetime, until she began to get called Mary. "This is going to be so long."
The hallways of Star Hollow high have never been so serene to Victoria. She could do what she wanted without having her sister snitch on her at the end of the day. Her final period of the day was study hall, with Liam, and she decided that attending said Study Hall was pretty pointless. The couple decided to leave during the passing period and head over to Liam's. "When did you know? When did you know that you liked me?" she asked Liam. Liam looked over to Victoria, "13, we were 13. I knew. I just didn't want to mess anything up. Plus, I'd be too chicken to ask you out." he laughed. Victoria clutched onto her heart, being the dramatic GIlmore she is. "Ugh, you're so cute!" she said. "I have to get going soon and meet my mom at the inn. We're picking up Rory. See ya later?" Victoria asked and Liam nodded and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Victoria walked up to the inn and into the kitchen where she saw Sookie and her mother chatting away. "Hi guys," she greeted, "Hi sweets, ready to pick up Rory?" Lorelai said as she swung her arm around her daughter. Victoria nodded, "yeah, I'm excited to hear about her day." she said. "I asked Liam when he first knew he liked me...and he said since we were 13." Victoria said as Lorelai drove down to Hartford. Lorelai squealed, "That is so , hon." she said as she squeezed Victoria's arm. "I told him about him formally meeting you, he saw it coming, he said." Victoria laughed. "See, even he knows the official Gilmore Girl rule." Lorelai said. When Rory approached the Jeep she handed her book bag to Victoria, who almost fell to the ground. "God almighty. What is in here? Your hopes and dreams?" Victoria said. Rory hugged Lorelai, "That bad, huh?" Lorelai said she rubbed Rory's back, "Yes, heavy book bags, mean girls, and boys who call me Mary." Rory said as she jumped into the front seat. "Wow, Mary, like the Virgin Mary." Lorelai said. "Great, biblical insults." Rory said as she laughed.
