R&R longer note at the end

Lucy's eyes flickered open as she felt a damp cloth resting on her forehead, she slowly looked around seeing Mira, Erza and Levy all talking quietly between themselves. She carefully pushed herself up as Mira noticed smiling walking over to help her, smiling back Lucy held her arm swinging her legs over the side.

"Sorry, I just went a little dizzy for a moment" Lucy said as the others watched her.

"That's understandable it was a lot to take it" Levy said "Just take it easy for a moment". Lucy nodded as they heard a knock on the door, Erza got up walking over to open it blocking Lucy from view. Lucy carefully peered around Erza seeing the figure of Yukino standing in the doorway handing Erza an official looking envelope before leaving, closing the door Erza walked back to Lucy handing her the envelope. Taking it in slightly shaky hands she read the red lettering on the front 'for the attention of Fairy Tail's guild master only' turning it over in her hands she saw it was sealed with the symbol of the wizard council.

She carefully broke the seal removing the letter from within written in the same red ink before reading carefully.

'To the guild master of Fairy Tail Lucy Heartfillia

You have hereby been summoned to attend a meeting with the wizard council one week from the date of receiving this letter, failure to attend will result in disciplinary action. You are allowed to attend the meeting with two representatives of your guild at S-rank level only.

We await your arrival.

Kind regards, the wizard council'

Lucy read the letter through again wondering what she was to do, she remembered every time the council had summoned Makarov for a meeting it was to discuss Natsu's constant destruction of towns and villages when trying to take down one person.

"So in one week we must attend a meeting with the council it seems" Erza spoke to the room at a whole before her eyes fell on Lucy "It will take two days to get there, this means that gives us five days to bring you up to speed of your duties as guild master, I will personally see to this task". Lucy looked a little concerned, knowing how Erza usually did things she wondered if she would even manage to make it a few days let alone five.

FIVE DAYS LATER

Lucy emerged from her office at the guild hall feeling drained after her five-day training session with Erza however now she had learned her role as guild master better and was ready to address the rest of the guild feeling a little more confident. She was led by Mira to the main stage as she looked over the smiling faces of her all female guild, clearing her throat she began to speak.

"Hi everyone" She began as everyone watched listening closely "Five days ago we received a letter from the council and for the next two days I will be away, I have been informed that I can attend the meeting with two selected S-class wizard representatives. I have chosen to take Erza with me and require one more so I would like to ask any S-class wizards who wish to join us to please step forward".

Lucy looked to Erza who nodded at her indicating she did great, as the rest of the guild dispersed the only ones left where Minerva, Yukino, Levy and an unexpected flame red haired girl Lucy recognized as her stalker Flare. As they all approached Lucy realised she would have a difficult choice to make, which one was she to take with her.

"If it's a meeting with the council we are attending then It might be a good idea for me to go with you" Levy spoke up first "There is usually a lot to talking about important matters that you'd need someone to be making notes of so you can review the information afterwards".

"Note taking is easy for someone like me" Yukino countered "I think you should stay here Levy to help since you keep all the paperwork in order while Mira can handle request reporting and assignments".

"If you wished me to stay behind then I have no problems with that decision" Minerva said as Lucy looked over at her, it was very confusing for her knowing how Minerva was compared to this version of her. Lucy looked over at Flare wondering if she was going to speak up next curious on how she was going to act now, since everyone else seemed to be acting a little differently to what she knew.

"I would be willing to go with you but I have a few requests that need to be handled" Flare said looking Lucy up and down a little, Lucy fidgeted a little realising Flare seemed to be the same.

"I'd like to step in here" Erza said stepping forward "I think the…" Lucy turned to Erza a little confused at why her sentence was cut off seeing she was stood there not moving. As she looked around she noticed it wasn't just Erza who seemed to be frozen no one else seemed to be moving either. What was going on here?

"Don't worry, they are safe" Lucy looked around hearing a mysterious and dreamy female voice. As she looked around she heard the soft clicking of heels on the wooden floor, focusing on the sound she saw the figure of a tall woman approaching, her long jet black hair dancing slightly with every step she took. She was wearing a blue and white body suit with thigh high white boots carrying what appeared to be a crystal ball.

"Warmest greetings to you, guild master Lucy" She said a small smile played on her red lips as she stood in front of Lucy, now that she was this close Lucy recognized her "It's been a while since I was last at the guild hall but it feels good to be back". It took a brief second for it to register to Lucy what she meant, what was with this illusion? Enemies where now part of the guild?

"Is something wrong?" the woman asked leaning forward to look at Lucy's face as the scent of her perfume filled Lucy's nose she took a step back.

"N-no everything is fine" Lucy said nervously laughing "Sorry, it's been a long few days. I've been summoned by the council so now I have to pick someone to take with me alongside Erza". The woman smiled as she leaned back looking deep into Lucy's eyes.

"So, you've chosen to play your role in this illusionary world" The woman said, Lucy looked back at her confused and a little concerned. How did she know? The woman stepped closer smiling sweetly making Lucy a little more nervous.

"Don't worry, I didn't bring you in here but I can assure you there is a way out" she said "It will be difficult to break but I'm sure you will find the answer".

"Can you tell me how? The sooner I find out the sooner I can get out, please Ultear tell me" Lucy said some of her confidence returning.

"I can't do that" Ultear replied as she leaned in whispering into her ear, her warm breath tickling her a little "This illusion only breaks when you find out the truth yourself, now then I have another request to do, I just felt I would check in on things here first. See you soon guild master". Without a second thought she turned on her heel making her way out as the doors shut the sounds of talking returned to the guild halls.

"Best member to take with us would be Yukino" Erza continued talking not realising anything had even happened "I feel Flare should continue her work, Levy is very helpful to keep things running in your absence along with Mira as she has been trained on the day to day running of the guild. As for Minerva she is one of the only S-class wizards who is requested personally by name". Lucy looked at them all, she had forgotten what was happening after her encounter with Ultear, her mind was still a little scattered remembering how sweet Ultear's perfume smelled before shaking her head slightly focusing on what was going on.

"Well if you recommend it then, I will adhere to your recommendation Erza" Lucy said before turning to the other girls "Yukino, please gather your things and meet us at the train station. Levy, Minerva and Flare. I trust all of you to help Mira keep the guild running in my absence. Thank you so much I promise I'll repay you all when I get back". The three girls smiled as they nodded accepting their guild master's choice as Yukino left to collect her things, Erza nodded her approval leaving as well to collect her things and money for the train tickets as Ultear's last words replayed through Lucy's mind.

The only way out of the illusion was to figure out the answer herself? Where was she even meant to begin?

Longer chapter for you all this time, throwing some more curveballs at you with the addition of Ultear as a member of the guild also if anyone is a little confused by why I had everyone frozen and only her and Lucy able to move and talk. Its because Ultear controls time, everyone was frozen in time and if anyone remembers how Mystogan use to enter the guild that's where the idea came from
