"Maki san you really don't hold back,do you??"

said a panting Yuta Okkotsu as he stood up and took a stance again.

"Give Yuta senpai a break Maki senpai you don't have to go so hard on him" Hachiman said as he made his way to the sparring ground.

It had been an year and 3 months sice he had been saved from the Hachizaki compound.

He had a lot of trouble coming to terms with his own past. He still remembered what he had heard when he first got his sword and it had bothered him a lot. He had yet to get another artifact or recollect a past memory. Many a times he felt really hollow when he walked down the streets of Tokyo.But an year of therapy really improved his mental state.

As said by Shoko he had practically adopted Gojo's personality. Well more like taken from him

he still was a lot more respectful than Gojo nor did he have the confidence of Gojo but one thing he had was charisma.

With his messy but good looking onyx hair and crimson eyes full of life, people had always taken liking in him whether it be for his good looking body or his cheery personality people had always taken a liking for him.

But that didn't mean he felt the same. Outside of the Jujutsu world he had 0 friends. In his middle school where he joined to complete his education and join Jujutsu high many people had tried to befriend him but overtime he had pushed all of them away from his life.

He still felt guilty but he just couldn't make friends with Non-Jujutsu Sorcerers.

With normal people it was always"I did this when I was young or My grandpa bought me this when I was 10" and all of that deeply hurt Hachiman

He knew it wasn't their fault but he couldn't help but grimace at their words.

So that led to his only friends being the first year in Jujutsu High and Satoru.

"You know we still aren't your senpai Hachiman"

Said Maki getting ready to beat Yuta once again.

Truly when it came to weapon skills and physical prowess Maki Zenin stood unrivaled among the first years.

In the many spars that that they had fought Hachiman had won only a few and Yuta had to yet claim a victory.

"Cmon don't be harsh on the child after all he's going to join next year" Said Panda

"Salmon Salmon"

"Thats assuming he will be able to join the school at the first place." Maki said right before kicking Yuta in the nuts.Maki Zenin also didn't believe in fair play.

Hachiman winced at the brutal attack while Yuta Faceplanted on the ground.

"If that's the treatment I'm gonna get then might as well leave" Hachiman stood up to spar next

making sure that he protected the are between his legs specially considering Maki Zenin didn't know the definition of holding back.

He got a few wins in and a lots of losses. All in all he was improving at a very good rate.

However he still had to get permission to use his swords cursed technique.

Talking about he sword's technique he was able to find about it a lot thanks to Gojo's six eyes.

=RED MODE: WHEN USING THIS MODE THE BLADE OF THE KATANA WILL TURN RED AND USER WILL BE ABLE TO FIRE 4 RED SLASHES A DAY WHICH ARE MODERATLEY POWERFUL.

=BLUE MODE:WHEN USING THIS MODE THE KATANA WILL TURN BLUE AND THE USER WILL BE ABLE LOCK ON A TARGET AND BE ABLE TO ATTRACT IT TOWARDS THE SWORD.

=SUMMONING:THE USER IS ABLE TO SUMMON AND UNSUMMON THE BLADE TO THEIR HAND.ALSO IF THE BLADE IS IN THE CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE USE THEM THE USER WILL BE ABLE TO REVERSE SUMMON HIMSELF TO THE HILT OF THE SWORD.

One of the major concern of sword users was that the sword could be seperated from them and then they would be useless in the battlefield.

Well with his summoning ability that wasn't a problem to him. So a few talks and asking for favors (read begging using puppy eyes) had led to him being able to practice with the first years at Jujutsu high.

DURING SAME AFTERNOON THE PRINCIPAL'S ROOM

"So Gojo sensei why did you call me here." Said Hachiman nervously tapping his foot

When he had finished sparring with the first years Gojo had ominously shown up and said that the principal was asking for him

"Well it was nothing really.Just something that we would have usually done when you started the class but seeing as you are a Special case we thought might as well do it now." Said Gojo in his usual tone

Gojo then procceded to teleport away to somewhere and the door opened to reveal principal Yaga

"Well, You must be wondering why we have called you here, This is about your path to become a Jujutsu sorcerer. So then I will be doing you one question. And you have to answer it truthfully.

Got it?"

Hachiman was sweating bullets now. Holy shit he was just having a normal day training and suddenly he was getting his motive questioned by the principal of Jujutsu High. And his entire career depended on the question.

"Ok" He said hesitantly.

"Well then here's the question. Why do you want to become a Jujutsu sorcerer??"

"Heh" That was it. No philosophical question or no test of battle ability only one question.

"Well until you answer the question my dolls will be constantly attacking you."

"Huh?" He realized that he was in deep shot as soon as he seemed a first coming towards his head.

He evaded by jumping away and summoned his sword into his hand and took a stance.

The doll came at him again at impressive speeds but it was no match for him as he cut the doll in half.

As soon as he did that two more dolls zeroe'd on him attacking form each side. He pushed cursed energy into his legs and got into one of their guards and cut the dolls head of with a clean strike. After that he put some distance between him and the second doll he reinforced his arm with cursed energy and threw into the dolls head.

The sword lodged itself deeply into the dolls head.He reverse summoned himself to the sword. As he blinked the next moment he was holding his sword by the handle. He ripped the sword out as he delivered a cursed energy reinforced punch to the doll sending it flying.

'Why do i want to become a Jujutsu sorcerer??'

'To save people of course'

"I want to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer to save people"

He said in a righteous manner

Expecting the principal to be proud of him for figuring it out, however this wasn't a fantasy world.

"Rejected"The principal said in a neutral but loud voice

As he heard this his eyes widened as another doll that had snuck up on him punched him square in the jaw.

He was sent flying and hit a pillar.

"Remember your aren't going to be some kind of hero or saviour of the world you are going to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer. We excorscise cursed spirits

to do this job one cannot have a half baked resolve. *sigh* Well they say people are more honest when they are on the verge of death."

As he finished saying this he snapped his fingers and all of the dolls in the vicinity started attacking him and it was no less then a small army of dolls

Hachiman was being bombarded with punches here and there. He was pretty sure he'd have a lot of injuries if he didn't activate primal mode instinctively. He was still holding his own against the dolls impressively. As he was mowing down the numbers he saw and opening and quickly switched form probably mode top red mode and let out 2 red slashes which decreased the number significantly. As he got time to breath he thought again

'Why do I want to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer?'

'To save people of co-'

No,he didn't need these useless answers. All of them were just lies he fed himself. No, here needed a true motive not a half baked lie.

As he was Fighting the dolls he couldn't help but remember the day he was rescued from the Hachizaki Compound. How useless he had felt against the army of cursed sprits when he first got his sword.

He didn't want to feel useless again, Yes that was his objective. He didn't want to feel useless again

As he realized this he faced the dolls and let out a wide Arc of red energy as it proceeded to cut many dolls.

Now he was down to only 1 slash of energy.He couldn't rely on red mode much.

So he took a risk.He switched the sword to blue mode and commanded it to pull all the dolls towards him.

As he did so all the dolls went flying towards him.

He took a deep breath and switched to red mode one last time. As he did that he let out the biggest arc of red energy he could.As he did so every doll was slashed by it. He breathed a sigh of relief.

"I don't want to be useless. I want to be strong for my own sake and nobody else's.I want to be strong do that I can find who I am"

He said while resting his sword in the ground.

Yaga smiled as he heard they boys answer.

"Well then it is decided you will be joining Jujutsu high next session.When you join Jujutsu high you will be allowed to freely use your cursed tool"

Hachiman heard this and a releived sigh escpaed his lips.

"Well then I will be taking my leave" Yaga nodded as Hachiman made his way outside.

"Yo, so you passed the test huh"

As he heard this voice he changed his head to see

Gojo standing by the door arms filled with a shit eating grin on his face.

"Yeah I guess.To be honest I was expecting something more battle oriented for the test"

"Well that was battle oriented. Didn't you have to cut through and army of cursed corpses"

"Oh" was his intelligent response,God he was a total idiot.

"Well nonetheless that was an impressive display of power. And don't worry about the school too much you'll have Megumi with you."

"Uh sensei?"

"Yes"

"Who's this Megumi guy?"

"Eh I haven't introduced him to you yet?"

"No i guess"

"Oh"was Gojo's intelligent response

Well now that the setup is finished and I have given a an estimate of his abilities and motives we'll be entering canon timeline next chapter.

And for those of you wondering why Yuta didnt KO Maki was because it was a no cursed energy fight and Yuta has been in Jujutsu High for 3 months.The next chapter we will be entering canon territory
