Robin and Lucina decided to head home immediately after what had happened. Lucina never said a word, just grunts of sorrow. Due to the special metal that made the wedding rings, they dissolved after one member of the couple died. When they were crafting the rings, Lucina ignored that fact and just was focused on the shine of the metal.

Now, the only thing Lucina had of her husband was memories and a small scar she had gotten one time when they were sparring.

Of course, they had another bad problem. Now that Robin had died, nobody in their party knew how to use the small amount of magic that could teleport one of them back to Ylisse.

After they arrived in the village, Lucina left for her shelter and mourned there for days, only leaving when Robin brought food.

In the timespan that Lucina was being useless, Robin took it upon herself to train herself, with both physical and magic attacks.

One day, the townspeople decided to figure out what was wrong with Lucina.

Robin was eating a bowl of soup, conversing with the others in the restaurant.

"So where's Lucina?" Aaron asked as he gulped down another piece of bread.

Robin swallowed her bite of food and replied. "She is spending some time alone to recover after an injury."

"What kind of injury?" The towns blacksmith asked.

"Mental. Her husband was killed on our trip."

The people gathered there fell silent, giving a moment of silence to the dead hero.

"Y'know," Robin said as she got up, "I'm getting Lucina back in action, whether she likes it or not. From what you guys have told me, she promised to train all of you." Robin started to walk out the door. "I'll get her here, one way or another."

Lucina was a mess, both mentally and physically. Her hair was unwashed and in knots, her cloak wet with tears. Not to mention how it was high summer, so the entire shelter smelled of sweat.

Robin wrinkled her nose as she was within a few meters of the lean-to, the smell almost unbearable.

She slammed her fist on the roof of the hut, using her other hand to pinch her nose.

"Lucina! Get your lazy butt outta there!"

Lucina grumbled from her shelter. "I can't. I have to stay here."

Robin shrugged. "What would your Father think of you? You are a noble, not somebody who sits in their own urine and sweat for a 's not good for you, or the baby."

Those words reached Lucina and she poked her head out of her shelter. "Baby?" She cried out in outrage, "There's a baby hidden in here!?"

"No," Robin replied, "I can sense a new life force. In you. I assumed it was just your normal life force, but it's focused in your womb area."

Lucina crawled out of her hut, tears edging her eyes. "So I'm a mother?"

Robin nodded. "You must've gotten pregnant shortly before you were teleported here. That might also explain your cravings for…" Robin peered inside the shelter and took notice of the bread crumbs on the floor, "Your cravings for bread."

Lucina nodded and crawled out. "I have to admit, if I'm caring for a baby and myself, I can't be like this."

"Good girl." Robin stated. She tossed Lucina a bucket and a change of clothes. "Go wash, then get yourself changed."

Lucina nodded. "Thanks. I don't know what I would do without a friend."

Robin turned back towards Lucina and smiled.

Lucina walked toward the village, trying to fill herself with as much confidence as possible. She would keep the pregnancy a secret, or at least until she couldn't hide it anymore.

"Hey!" Lianna called her friends (Aaron and Alexander), "Lucie is here!"

Lucina smiled and waved slowly. "Hey guys," She called. "I'm back. And I'm here to train you guys!"

Aaron was overjoyed and started jumping up and down. Alexander nodded his thanks and got the other able-bodied adults to the training field they had set up.

As all of the trainees lined up, (5 in total:Lianna, Aaron, Alexander, the blacksmith and the leatherworker) Lucina singled out Lianna. "Come with me." She said.

As both of them started walking away, Robin walked up to them.

"Okay Lianna." Robin stated as she took out a small bow and arrow. "I have been..observing your actions and I think you would be better as an Archer. So, I am here to train you in that class."

Lianna nodded slowly. "I assume you have pisces out other weapons for the others? Or am I just special?"

"Both." Robin answered. "Aaron will be using an Axe, Alexander will be a mounted knight, and the other two will be using spears."

Lucina nodded. "I think a flying unit would be useful, but we don't have any pegasus or wyverns around."

Robin smiled teasingly. She walked over to Lucina and whispered in her ear. "I'm pretty sure that by saying that, you want your child to ride a pegasus."

Lucina nodded slowly and whispered back. 'Yeah, but only girls can ride Pegasus."

Robin laughed. "Anyway, I would start training your new apprentices if I were you."

Lucina nodded and walked off, her Falchion banging noisily against her leg.

"Now." Robin stated. "Shoot that target."

Lianna looked up suspiciously. "What target?"

"Those hay bales set over there are about the size of the monsters beyond the forest. Try to hit them in the center or the top."

Lianna nodded and pulled the string back, her weak, young arms barely managing to go to half draw.

"Squeeze your shoulder blades together." Robin commanded.

Lianna obeyed, this time bringing to bow to three-quarters of a draw.

"Now shoot the arrow."

Lianna released the arrow, the string slapping painfully against the inside of her arm. She yelled in pain and dropped the bow like it was red-hot. "Why did that happen!?" She yelled in shock.

"It looks like I forgot to give you an arm guard….." Robin replied sheepishly. "Sorry 'bout that. I'll get the leatherworker to make one for you. In the meantime, I think you have some free time."

"How much?" Lianna asked gratefully.

"Well, training is going on for another few hours, then I assume supper, then he will make your arm guard." Robin quickly did some calculations in her head. "I would say four hours."

Lianna smiled and ran off, back to her house.

Robin smiled to herself. "It's crazy how determined a girl that young can be." She then started to walk around, assessing the village's ability to defend itself. As the plan formed in her head, she started drawing out a blueprint on the dirt with a small knife.

"Woodcutter!" Robin called as the town's lumberjack walked past. "Could you come over here please?"

The heavy-built man walked over and smiled. "What do ya need?"

"I would like you to grab as many people as you can after Lucina is done with the combat training, besides the leatherworker. Cut down as many trees as you can, so the radius around the village without trees is larger. Use that wood and pile it in the middle of the town."

The man nodded. "I can start getting the axes ready. Why are we doing this anyway?"

Robin smiled, "If more of the forest gets cut down, we will be able to see attacks from farther away. Plus, we are going to use the wood to mine stone, and make walls with both materials."

The woodcutter/lumberjack nodded and left.

Robin walked over to her room, which was located in the town hall. Being the tactitain she was, the towns leader decided to give me the 'best accommodation available'. Robin had instantly mapped out the village and made a record of the day-by-day process. She had three different plans for the wall formation, and each one was extremely different. The first plan was all stone, with the bricks being carved like puzzle pieces. The next one was all wood, with rope tying the logs together. The last one was a mixture of the two, using stone as a centerpiece, but having ramparts and extra supports made of wood. The third plan was the best, but it required lots of wood and even more stone.

"Let's hope the monsters give me at least a month," Robin said to nobody in particular, "Otherwise there will be lots of spilled blood."

"Aaron!" Lucina snapped, "Don't poke Alexander with your weapon!"

Alexander nodded his thanks and went back to training, hitting the wooden pole over and over with different strikes. Lucina had taught all of them a simple but effective combination of attacks. Thrust, block, left cut, overhand cut, block. Lucina had taken the staffs she had made before, and converted them all into spears. So now they had nine spears, and because there were four people who were using them, each person got two. The last remaining spear was used for firewood.

Lucina glanced over at Lianna, who was throwing wooden knives at training targets. At least she has some sort of blade skills now, Lucina thought, An archer always needs a closer range weapon.

"Lianna!" Lucina called. "You're not even ten, take a break."

Lianna nodded her thanks and sat down on the ground, leaning her back against a tree.

Lucina narrowed her eyes as she noticed the two adults, who were sparring. They were both learning the same attacks, so they should have been taking turns winning and losing.

But they were not. They always moved in synchronization, so nobody could ever land a hit.

"That's enough!" Lucina snapped at the two adults. She walked toward them and picked up a wooden sword she had made, a perfect replica of her Falchion. "Enough of you two sparring with each other. Time for you to fight...me."

One of them threw their spear down and protested. "Why? You are using a sword and you have way more training than us."

"Training?" Lucina scoffed, "I've fought mortal battles, that is not training." She then gestured toward Aaron and Alexander. "That is."

The two trainee-adults shrugged at each other. "Ok fine." One of them said. "So it's both of us, fighting you?"

Lucina nodded and picked up her wooden falchion. She then turned to Aaron and Alexander. "You two! Training is done for the day. Go relax for a bit, then help the woodcutters."

The two boys nodded their heads and sat down. Lucina then turned her attention to the two adults.

"Go on. I'll let you two make the first move." Lucina said coldly.

One of them leapt forward, but if he was being foolish or confident Lucina didn't know. Lucina tilted her body to the side, the wooden spearhead missing her by mere inches. There was a loud CRACK!, then the first attacker fell to the ground, holding his knee in pain. He moaned in pain then crawled away as fast as he could, dropping his spear.

"Playtime's over!" Lucina yelled as she moved onto the offensive.

Her target was taken aback by the explosion of action and involuntary stepped back. Using that momentum, Lucina drove forward, using the flat of her blade to parry all the attacks with ease. After half a minute or so, Lucina kicked her opponent in the junk and he collapsed on the ground. He moaned in pain-just like his ally-and rolled on the ground.

"Go help the others in the forest when you finish being a baby." Lucina said as she walked away.

Lucina was in her lean-to, her stomach queasy. She had already thrown up twice, the first time on her cloak and the second time outside. She was lying on her back, dressed in a tank-top and tights so she would cool off better. She absentmindedly rubbed her stomach and smiled slowly.

Now that she thought about it, she had been feeling sick ever since she got here. She had already thought of names, and she was honestly hoping for a girl.

"I could train her to ride a Pegasus and Robin could even train her with a bit of magic," She said aloud. She teared up.

"I only wish my husband was here to see this."
