It was time. The day of his brother's wedding. Izuku never thought he'd actually be going to one of these. To prepare for this day he'd eaten extra, taken his meds, and made sure to rest so he wouldn't show any weakness.
Izuku had gotten a ride from Sorahiko, who was also driving Nana. Before leaving Nana simultaneously complained about how unworthy Hisashi was of her daughter (she wasn't exactly wrong but…) and threatened anyone who upset said daughter on her wedding day.
Izuku had also reminded them not to mention his brother's…less than legal activites. After all, there were civilians present and if All for One was exposed as a villain there was literally no reason left not to kill them then and there. And that would kill the mood! (And get them all killed, that was bad too)
They arrived at the chapel and started walking in. There was an hour to go. Apparently Inko was already there, and Hisashi would arriving soon.
An antique looking car kept in pristine condition rumbled up. It was clearly a classic that had had a lot of work put into maintaining it. It also looked kind of familiar…
Sorahiko pointed. "Hey! That's mine!"
Hisashi stepped out of the car, smirked at Sorahiko, then strolled inside. Huh, so that's why Sorahiko's license plates were in such pristine condition when the car was assumed vaporized…
Sorahiko fumed. "That…that…"
Nana patted him on the shoulder while Izuku walked inside. Several people were mingling. Izuku was pretty sure several were criminals. Before he could join them, a blond woman in a dress walked over to him. "Oi! Greasy!" she said.
"Greasy?" Izuku said.
"You're the-asshole-marrying-Inko's brother right?"
"…Yes?"
"Come with me! Inko wants to meet you!"
She grabbed him by the collar and dragged him back toward one of the backrooms (which for some reason had a ceiling meant for someone twelve feet tall).
In the middle of the room was the woman from his brother's invitation, Inko Midoriya, now in a white wedding dress. She was pacing back and forth, muttering to herself while looking on the verge of a panic attack.
The blond woman held out a raincoat. "Put this on."
"What?" Izuku said.
She grabbed him by the collar and brandished a fist. "Put. It. On."
Izuku nodded and put on the raincoat before turning back to his soon to be sister-in-law.
"What if I'm no good for him and something goes wrong or we can't financially support each other or I accidentally trip him on the stairs and he-"
"Oi! Inko!" the blond woman said.
Inko stopped her rambling and looked up.
"The good-for-nothing-you're-getting-hitched-to's brother showed up!"
Inko looked at Izuku. Her expression flipped to a bright smile that was way too pure for his brother. "Really? Thank you Mitsuki!" She ran up and pulled Izuku into a hug as two geysers gushed from her eyes, soaking the raincoat. Huh, so that's what it was for…
"I'm so glad to meet you!" she said. "Hisashi's told me so much about you!"
"That's…great…" said Izuku. "What'd he tell you?"
Inko stiffened before looking at the wall and saying, "Um, he said that you were a hero and would, well, sometimes take risks he didn't like and you two got into a strong disagreement over that. That's all!"
In other words, Hisashi had made it sound like he was the responsible brother to a reckless idiot.
Izuku put on a smile he hoped looked convincing "That's good," Izuku said.
"I know Hisashi doesn't think much of heroes, but I think it's great! I'm glad you all could come!" said Inko
Hisashi so did not deserve her. "Well, I'm just glad to be here and finally meet you. Especially after the great things Hisashi said about you," Izuku said with a smile.
Inko blushed, "Thank you. You're too kind," she said rubbing her arm. Inko then blinked. "Oh! By the way, is my mom here too? Hisashi said she wanted to come, so he offered to ban her but I said no."
"She's here," Izuku said, "She's very proud of your big day. But um," He rubbed the back of his neck. "Be warned I may have told her some horror stories about Hisashi."
Inko sighed. "Of course you did," she said with a deadpan stare. Then she smiled and said, "Send her in! I'd love to see her
Izuku nodded, "Of course.."
He then walked out, tapped Nana on the shoulder and sent her in to see Inko. After that he wandered around a little, before noticing that blond woman from before walking up to Hisashi.
After that he wandered around a little until he spotted Second. He walked over to join him when he noticed that blond woman from before walking up to Hisashi.
"Oi Dracula!" she said.
"Don't call me that!"
"Sorry. Oi, Alucard!"
Hisashi growled.
"Inko's chatting with her deadbeat Mom," the blond woman, Mitsuki, said to Hisashi. "In the meantime, I know weddings are a really stressful thing. In fact, Inko nearly panicked. I hear a lot of people spend times like this really thinking over their choices and-"
"For the last time, I am not going to get cold feet no matter how much you want me to!" said Hisashi.
"Damn it," said Mitsuki, snapping her fingers.
Izuku and Second walked over. "Hey boss," said Second. "How've you been? I haven't seen you since I quit all those years ago."
Hisashi looked at him in a way that Izuku half expected to be an attempt to set Second on fire with his mind. "Yes. It has been a while. And I believe you also took some…office supplies when you left," he said, his gaze flicking over to Izuku.
"Really? I didn't notice," said Second looking up thoughtfully, "Maybe your brother took them. He did leave at the same time as me."
Hisashi flared his nostrils.
Izuku chose this moment to declare, "Speaking of which, hello Hisashi. It's been a while," while he adjusted his tie.
His brother, who as usual had no tie, glared. "Hello Izuku."
"Why Hisashi," Izuku said with faux politeness, "You seem to have forgotten your tie." Izuku pulled out the extra he'd brought. "Luckily I have a spare. Would you like me to-"
"No I do not need your help. I am just fine without a tie," said Hisashi.
The Mitsuki texted into her phone. "Dracula! Inko says to let your brother tie the tie," she said.
"What?" Hisashi said, "That is completely unnecessary! I'm-"
Mitsuki dialed a number on her phone, then put it on speaker. "He's trying to chicken out," she said.
"Hisashi?" Inko said over the phone. "Let your brother tie the tie."
"But Inko!" said Hisashi. "I-"
"Now."
"Yes Inko," Hisashi said. He then glared at Izuku as if trying to set him on fire with his mind. "Lead the way, little brother."
Izuku walked into a backroom with his brother, while Mitsuki and Second snickered. They walked in to find a twelve-foot-tall giant dressed in an oversized tuxedo sobbing.
"My lord is getting a queen! I am unworthy! I am unworthy!" the giant said.
Wait. That voice sounded familiar. Almost like…
"Machia?!" Izuku said.
Machia whipped his head around. "Scrawny lord!" He lunged at Izuku, picked him up, then nuzzled him while purring like an oversized kitten. "I have not seen you in so long! Ever since you left the vault lord was protecting you in! Where have you been?"
Izuku stared at Machia, then looked back at his brother, then back at Machia.
"He's Gigantomachia now," said Hisashi. "As it turns out he was able to hold several quirks that made him larger, stronger and more humanoid. I was very surprised he could do that without suffering brain damage."
Izuku glared at him.
"Don't give me that look!" said Hisashi. "You're the one who tried to make him your pet."
"I thought he was a puppy!"
"Izuku, what do you think dogs look like?"
"I was five!"
Hisashi waved his hand. "Anyway, he's now my best man."
Izuku cocked his head. "Machia's your best man?"
"There was literally no one else I could trust."
"I can believe that."
"Shut up and tie the stupid tie."
"Ok, I-" Wait. Izuku glanced over at Machia. Sure enough, Machia had a perfectly tied tie around his neck. Izuku grinned.
"Hey, is Machia wearing a-"
"He wasn't dexterous enough to do one in my size. Now shut up."
"So he was able to learn before-"
"Shut. Up."
"Whatever you say," Izuku said. He began tying his brother's tie. He was going a little slower than usual, but that was just for accuracy's sake. Certainly not to prolong his evil brother's suffering.
" Inko was nice," Izuku said
"You met her?" said Hisashi.
"Yep. She seemed to respect heroes and was happy to learn her mother was here. A bit odd given she's marrying…well you," said Izuku.
"Well she was fine with me disliking heroes, and she was easily worth putting up with that unfortunate admiration," said Hisashi.
"Yeah…" said Izuku. "She's totally out of your league."
"I'm the wealthy owner of at least one legitimate business and a growing criminal empire with more power than any hero alive," said his brother.
"That second part is kind of the problem."
Hisashi glared.
"What? I think it's a good thing you're marrying a girl you absolutely don't deserve! I'm glad you're with someone who isn't a total disaster! Maybe this will even lead to you to becoming a halfway decent human being!"
"You're compliments just warm the heart Izuku," Hisashi said, glaring.
Izuku finished his work. "Happy to be of service!"
"Sometimes I really hate you."
"Don't worry, I feel the same way too."
They marched out as Izuku checked his watch. It was almost time and he and his brother hadn't killed each other yet. Now they just had to survive the wedding and enjoy the after-party with no casualties. Easy, right?
Fun fact, I literally wrote the bit about Second taunting AFO less than an hour before posting.
Hope you enjoyed! If so reviews make me grin wider than First did at the idea of showing off his perfectly tied tie to his brother!
