Trooper's Guide Through Life: Chapter Three- "Shopping is for..."
Planet Netfiss, Mall (Thirty Minutes Later)
After getting a call from Top about doing the shopping for the sick junior Pride Troopers, Jiren and two chosen members are now at the mall. Jiren feels awkward around the mall, because it's his first time being in one. In front of him is the female Elite only member of the group, Cocotte. She's actually happy to be in the mall. She was planning of taking some of the junior members out for a shopping spree, but this is just better. Behind Jiren is the energy lassoing member, Kunshi, who's not happy to be at the mall. Jiren looks around the area, watching the various people pass him and his team by. "These people seem to be busy, but what's so important about shopping in here? Sure, there's clothes, but I don't really get the point of malls. This is my first time being in one, so...this mission might be a hard one. Wow! I can't believe that I just said that a mission would be hard for me." are Jiren's thoughts, before the two members see a clothing store near by. They go into the store, starting their long mission through the mall.
Twenty Minutes Later…
Cocotte: (tries out a few dresses/*think of it as a montage) Wow! These dresses are really beautiful! Maybe the girls will like these at the headquarters!
Kunshi: (Looks at a pair of jeans) This is the most boring mission that I have to take. (Looks at Jiren, staring at some mannequins) Jiren?
Jiren: (Stares at the mannequin) (This doll...why is it wearing clothes? I don't get the reason why the store would dress up these life sized dolls in the first place.)
Kunshi: Jiren! Snap out of it!
Jiren: (Shakes his head, looks at Kunshi) Oh! My bad. I was...just looking at the doll.
Kunshi: (Sighs) I know what you're trying to say. You don't want to be here. Like my mother always say to me, when we're at the mall: "Shopping is for people who like to shop spree for many hours."
Jiren: (raises his eyebrows) What does that mean?
Cocotte: (Looks at Jiren and Kunshi) He means that shopping is for people who like to shop a lot. Seriously!? You've never been in a mall before?
Jiren: (Looks at Cocotte, shaking his head) No.
Cocotte: (Gasps) This is so...awkward for you to take! We better teach you how malls work! We got a whole day ahead of us, so we're going to take it!
Kunshi: Ugh! Really, Cocotte? I thought that the mission was suppose to be buy the supplies for the juniors!
Cocotte: Yes, but Jiren has to learn how mall shopping works. We have enough money, so we can have a relaxing time here. I know that you're bored of this place, so act like you're having fun, Kunshi!
Kunshi: Ugh! Fine! (Crosses his arms)
Jiren: So...What should we start?
Cocotte finishes buying the dresses and other clothes in the store, before leaving it with the guys. She tells Jiren that shopping is when people buy the things that they want. "They try to buy the best thing that's on for sale, make a wish-list of things that might appeal to them in the future, and be more excited about what type of item will be release in the upcoming stores! Do you want anything from the store, Jiren?" said Cocotte. He hasn't thought of anything that he wants from the store. He does have the money that he got from the group, but he never buys anything. "I don't know. I don't think of anything that I would like to want in a store. Or this mall for example." said Jiren, as he and the two members see a food stand. It has been a while, since they eat lunch, so they might as well eat some food in here. Kunshi goes up to the pretzel stand, buying three pretzel sticks for the team, while Cocotte buys some drinks. Jiren just sits on a chair, waiting for the two to be done. He closes his eyes, thinking of a what if. "What if...me and Kari go to the mall? That would be a good experience. She does have the right knowledge of how a mall functions and buying stuff for her would be...Well- I can't tell what it would feel like." are Jiren's thoughts, before hearing Kunshi's voice calling his name. He opens his eyes, seeing a pretzel stick on the table. "It's a pretzel stick! Do you know what it is? Right?" said Kunshi, as he bites into his. He does know what pretzels are, but he hasn't see a bread like type of it before. He takes a bite of the stick and...and...he likes it. "It's salty. Are pretzels always like this?" said Jiren. "No. They can be sweet with some brown sugar and cinnamon, but mostly they can be salty." said Kunshi. Cocotte returns to the group with some drinks in her hands. She gives each of them one drink, has her pretzel stick and the three eat their lunch in peace.
Pride Trooper's Headquarters, Basement Area (Ten Minutes Later)
While the three members take care of the mall mission, the other five members are in charge of fixing a faucet in the basement area, Dyspo, Zoiray, Vuon, Kettle, and Tupper are in the basement area, trying to find the faucet. While that's going on, Dyspo get a call from his sister on his communicator. "Agh! Not right now!" said Dyspo as he grabs his communicator and takes the call. He talks to his sister about talking later. His sister says no and he needs to pick her up from her running club. "It's what big half brothers are there for! I can't run my way back home, because I just ran a few several miles in my club. Now, Dyspo!" said his sister. He tells the team to stop where they are, so that he can talk to his sister in private. While he leaves the group, they have a small talk about what will tomorrow bring on them.
Tupper: (Looks at the three members) I've heard that Top and us are having a big mission tomorrow. Involves solving a crime case on Planet...uh...what the name of the planet again?
Kettle: (sighs, while rolling his eyes) Planet Decaf. It's the planet where people drink coffee all day.
Zoiray. Hmph! Who drinks coffee all day? Not me, because I don't drink that (Bleep)! Hah!
Vuon: Maybe it would be great if we just have one vacation day from work in general. (Closes his eyes) A day at the beach would be great.
Dyspo: I told YOU, that I'm busy! You can walk yourself home!
Sis: Hell no! You're picking me up right now! You promised me that you wouldn't do that again! Remember, bastard!?
Dyspo: Ugh! F-Fine! I'll pick you up! Be there in a few minutes! Bye! (hangs up and looks at the team) Guys? Can you do the mission without me? I have to pick up my half sister!
Tupper: Oh! I know what next week is going to be. The "Bring Your Relative" day is on a Thursday.
Dyspo: UUUUUGHHH! You just made this day a horrible one, Tupper! I'll be back in a few minutes! Thanks! (Runs out of the basement area)
Vuon: He has a half sister? Since when?
Kettle: About...two years ago. I can't tell you the whole story, because I was there, but maybe later. We have to find the faucet and-
Zoiray: Found it! (Looks up) So...who bought the tools?
(Three of them pause for a moment…)
Tupper: Did Dyspo said that he got the screwdriver?
Kettle: UGH! He has the tools! Great, now we have to wait for him to return with it!
Vuon: What can we do in this dark, damp place?
Tupper: Play...Oh wait. You can't play in a basement.
Zoiray: Where are the rest of the team?
Kettle: The general and Top are doing other missions on their own and Jiren, Kunshi, and Cocotte are going shopping I believe. Guess that their mission is the most boring out of the three that we have today.
Tupper: I can see the boredom on their faces now...tiring, yawning, and saying "When is this over?" Hahahaha!
Five Minutes Later at the Mall…
(Jiren, Kunshi, and Cocotte are at the movies)
Jiren: (watches the movie) (The mall has movies!? I thought that movie theaters only have movies, not malls! I guess that it was a good mission after all. I wonder what the prince will do next, once he's in the tower?)
Kunshi: (Makes an irritated expression) (Who would like this movie, where a prince saves a princess from incompetent goons and a long ass journey!? On the bright side, it's funny.) (Sees Cocotte crying softly) Uh…
Cocotte: (Wipes her tears) (this is the best part of this movie! OOOHH!)
After watching a movie together, the three Pride Troopers leave the area, happy of what the mission was. Jiren is actually starting to understand the purpose of malls now. He looks at the other two members, who have a smile on their faces. He later thinks of why Top specifically told him to go on this mission. "Maybe Top was trying to make me more social to the team. I guess that the mall was a good place for that. Thanks, Top." are Jiren's thoughts, before hearing a scream from the fourth floor of the mall. He sees a woman getting her purse snatched up by a figure in a black hoodie. He tells the two that there's a robber on the fourth floor of the building. "We have to take care of it! Come!" said Jiren as he flies up to the fourth floor. The two members follow him to the fourth floor, running after the robber. He looks back, seeing the three Pride Troopers running after him. "Crap! they're after me!" said the robber, as he turns right and jumps off of the fourth floor. He lands on the third floor, pushing away people out of his way. Jiren sees him running. He thinks of a way to get the robber, without hurting anyone. He later looks at Cocotte and thinks up a good idea. "Cocotte? I want you to use your zone barrier and cover yourself in it." said Jiren. Cocotte was confused of what he said to her, but she does it anyway. She activates her Cocotte Zone and covers herself in a pink ball. Jiren later carries her with one arm and throws her to the direction of the robber. "AHHH! Jiren! What's the plan!?" said Cocotte as she rolls towards the robber. The robber turns around, seeing a pink ball coming towards him. He tries to run faster, but can't. The pink ball hits him, causing him to roll with the ball. Cocotte makes a hole in the barrier, grabs the robber in the ball, and closes it. Jiren sees that she got the robber and tells Kunshi to use his energy threads to grab the ball. Kunshi understands the plan and uses his energy threads to lasso the ball. He's able to get the ball and drags it to the fourth floor. It takes him a few minutes to get the ball to the fourth floor, but he did it. Cocotte deactivates her barrier and drops the robber on the floor. Jiren then picks up him, tells him to give him the purse, or else. "H-Here's the purse! Now don't hurt me!" said the robber as he cries in mercy. Jiren lets go of the robber, Kunshi ties him in an energy rope bind, and Jiren brings back the purse to the woman. After that, they leave the mall in peace and with positivism on their minds.
Pride Trooper's Headquarters, Basement Area (Ten to Eleven Minutes Later)
Dyspo: (Runs into the basement area) Whew! Sorry guys! I was going to come back in a few seconds, but my sister was bitching about me not keeping a promise. (Looks at the guys) Uh...what the hell are you making those faces at me?
Kettle: You have the screwdriver. We've been waiting for you to come back with it.
Dyspo: Wait! I don't have the screwdriver! (points to Tupper) He has it! I just got the communicator.
Tupper: Oh! (Grabs the screwdriver out of his pocket) I did had the screwdriver this entire time! Hahaha! Sorry for not saying this in the first place!
Vuon: (Slaps Tupper in the face) Idiot! We waited a few minutes, just for that!? Great! Who's going to unscrew the faucet? (Looks at the dripping faucet)
Kettle: Since Dyspo took forever to get here, he'll be the one to unscrew the faucet. Who agrees to the idea?
Vuon: I! (raises his hand)
Zoiray: I! (Raises his hand)
Tupper: I! (raises his hand)
Kettle: I! (Raises his hand)
Dyspo: Neh! (raises his hand)
Zoiray: Hahhah! Majority rules, jack ass!
Dyspo: Dammit! Fine! Give me the screwdriver! (Grabs the screwdriver and loosens the faucet) Almost there!
Kettle: Be careful, Dyspo! We don't need a flood in the-
(Faucet leaks out a large portion of water)
Dyspo: (Bleep)! That was too loose!
Tupper: What the hell do we do!?
Kettle: One thing...(Runs out of the basement) Run! Have someone take care of the faucet!
Vuon: You're right! Dyspo is to blame! (Runs out of the basement area)
Zoiray: Wait! I can't swim! And don't you not make a short joke out of it! (Runs out of the basement area)
Dyspo: Come on, Tupper! Use your powers to seal in the faucet! (Looks around the area) Tupper?
(Moment of silence…)
Dyspo: AW THE HELL WITH THIS! (Runs out of the basement area)
Five to Six Minutes Later…
Kasheral: Oh! (Sees Jiren, Kunshi, and Cocotte coming into the building) Guys! And Ma'am! How was the mission?
Jiren: It was...relaxing. Shopping at the mall was a good experience for the day. It was nice for once. (Smiles)
Kasheral: I hope that you had a better mission than the rest of us. My mission would be simple, if it weren't for traffic getting in the way of me coming back to the headquarters. Top should be coming back to the headquarters as we speak.
Kunshi: Where are the rest of the team. I've heard that they're fixing a faucet in the basement area.
Cocotte: Ohohoho! They're horrible at fixing things! I bet that the entire area is flooded with dirty water. (Chuckles while covering her mouth)
Dypso: General! Call the repairman from down the street! The faucet!
Tupper: It's leaking out water and it was his fault! (Points at Dyspo, while running after him)
Kasheral: (Looks at the five members coming to him) Guy! Stay calm! What's the big problem!? The faucet shouldn't be able to leak out that large amount of water. Unless...it's the one that's connected to the showering system in the headquarters, then-
Jiren: (Sees a large wave of water coming at them) It's coming this way!
The giant wave of water seems to be coming close to the nine Pride Troopers. Before they can leave the area, the door close, due to the emergency senses that Top installed a few weeks ago. Braising for impact, the team get swept away from the giant water covering the first floor. A few seconds later, Top comes to the front area of the headquarters, done with his mission. He hums his way to the front doors of the building. "I hope that everyone has a good day with their missions. Especially Jiren. I don't think that him at a mall would be a good idea, but it just might work. Once I open these doors, I'll be in my best mood-" said Top as a wave of water covers him, pushing him to the streets of the Northern city. The rest of the team leave the building through the splashing water. Once all of the water is gone from the building, Top sees the Pride Troopers in a wet mess. He looks at his own suit, drenched in dirty water. "Uh...General? What happened here?" said Top. He's trying not to have an outburst at a time like this. Kasheral gets up and tries to explain the issue to him as calmly as he can. A few minutes later, the team cleans up the first floor, the repairman comes into the basement area to fix the faucet in the correct way, everyone was alright in the end.
Jiren's Room…
Jiren is now in his room, getting dressed for the night. He really did had a good time with two of the members. The dirty water mess and the fact that he was in the mess was the worst part of what happened today. He gets into his clean night clothes, after taking a shower. He walks to bed, covers his body in bed sheets, and closes his eyes. While he closes his eyes, he imagines Kari and him going to the mall. They were having a good time, playing games, watching movies, and eating food at the food stands. The best part of the image, is that Kari was smiling through all of them. "I really miss you so much, Kari. I hope that you're feeling better." are Jiren's thoughts, before going to sleep for the night.
