At the same time Daya came with water. Abhijeet was surprised and stared at him.
Daya: aise kya ghoor Raha he.
Abhijeet: mei ab pani ke bare me Socha aur tum Pani lekar aya.
Daya: (with a smile)Abhi ek bath yad rakho tumare dil ke awaaz bhi mei sun sakta hum.
Abhijeet( in unconscious murmur): Kaham he Daya tu. Mere awaz kyun nahi sunta he tu. Mei tume bula raha he. Mujhe pyas lug Rahi he Daya. (Then with a sarcastic smile) Mei ye kya soch raha he. vo kyom aunga. Akhir Senior Inspector Daya ek criminal ko Pani dene kyom aunga.
He remained there till evening when two dry rotis, his only meal for the day , was thrown to him by an officer with a glass of water. Somehow he managed to lift his upper body into a sitting position. He drank the water in a go. His starving made him eat the rotis like a mad and hungry beggar. Acp: Daya you should go for a mission in Delhi. Best officers from all bureaus are summoned. It is a high profile case.

Daya moved out angrily. There he saw Salunkhe Sir. From his expression it was clear that he had heard the entire conversation. He took Daya outside bureau.

Sab kehta he ki kya maloom shayad unke pati bhi jazooz Hoga. Sab mila hua hoga us dhokebaaz officer k e sath .Purvie ke baap aspatal se ro rokar vapas aya keval aur keval ek cid officer ke baap hone ke Karan. Salunkhe: bath mere pasand ya napasand ke nahi he. Tum uske Nazar se soch raha he. Ek bar Pradumnan ke Nazar se bhi Sochi. Tum sab CID se kuch na kuch paya he. Parantu vo CID ke liye apna sab kuch kho diya. Apna parivar apne sukh sab kuch . Vo abhi tak Cid ke liye jiya hai.

He walked back . His mind was occupied by many thoughts. Today he was in great dilemma. He has to choose between the two. On one side his father and on the other side his brother. One has given him this life of CID , other one taught him to live. One loved him to the core of his heart while the other had not shown his love expressively,but he know that his love too was equally soothing and selfless. One fought for him every time while the other was his silent pillar of support. Choosing one is very difficult for him. What if a person is asked to choose between his two eyes. But today he has to choose one . Yet another prank of the time.
He unintentionally walked towards Acp sir's cabin. His thoughts become blank seeing that scene. For the first time ever in his life he saw his Acp sir crying. The most strongest man he had seen who never ever let his tears escape from his eyes is sitting in that cabin totally broken. He couldn't tolerate it more. His words directly struck Daya' s heart.
Acp( pov) : mujhe patha dha vo nahi manega. Akhir Mei Kon hu uska. Kya diya hai mei usko.

Daya rushed into the cabin and stood there silently. Acp sir sensing his presence wiped his tears off.
Acp : Senior Inspector Daya . Ab kya kahne aya ho.
Daya : mei mission mei jaunga sir
Acp :( looked him suspiciously)achanak kya hua.
Daya: bas apko aise toote hua nahi dekh sakta hai.
Acp sir had tears in his eyes . He stood up moved near him and Patted his cheek
. Daya couldn't resist it. He hugged him and started sobbing
Daya: sir app Chinta mat karo. Mei apko wada Karta hum app Jo kahe vahi Karunga. Aap aise Rona mat kabhi bhi. Koi beta apne baap ke ankhom me aasu nahi dekh sakta.
Acp sir in the hug slowly patting his back: mei janta dha. Tum mujhe kabhi nahi chodega. Mera beta he na tu .
Daya slowly nodded.
Acp : Daya tume Kal nikalna Hoga.
Daya: yes sir . He said and was going to move out.
Acp (from behind): Daya ek aur baat. Janta he tumare liye mushkil Hoga. Phir bhi koshish Karo usko phoolne ka.
Daya turned to him and gave him a meaningful stare and went out. He now realized what he did. At that time his thoughts were conquered by emotions and he took a decision in haste. Now he cannot move back from the decision. But what about his brother ? How can he leave him . How can he forget him . His life would be empty if there are no memories of him. His thoughts were disturbed by a call

Daya came out from the trance and looked at her.
Daya: Ha Kaho Shreya

Daya : Naraz ya gussa hone keliye koi hak hona zaroori hai. Aur mei vo hak keval mera Abhi par jatata hai.
Shreya (with tears in her eyes): Sir shayad hum Sahi he tho.
Daya looked her with fiery eyes and left .
Daya in house in front of his Abhi 's pic: Abhi mei janta hu mei galat hai. Mei tume akele chodkar chal raha hum. Aaj maaf bhi nahi mang raha hum. He caressed the picture and gave away some silent tears and slept there. Next day he left for his duty . In the holding room Abhijeet 's condition was still the same. He grew more and more weaker due to continuous mental and physical torture. But he never confessed. On the fifth day after longing for many hours he was given some water and he was about to drink it . A man came and snatched the glass from him.
Officer : Are Abhijeet sir pyas lag Rahi he kya.
Abhijeet looked upwards and nodded.

Abhijeet : mujhe tumare beti ke haal par afsos hai. Lekin mei tumare Icha poori nahi karunga.
Ratan :Acha hum dekh lenge. Constable handcuff him.
Constable : Sir but it is against our rules.
Ratan : mei jho kaha vahi karo.
He took a stick and beat him at his feet soles . Abhijeet didn't surrender. He began beating him with iron rod. Abhijeet cried loudly out of pain . He finally collapsed . But Ratan continued his beating. At the same time Rishinath entered

Time and it's pranks will never end ,even when we end. Endure it's play with patience. It is the only option we have.
