Yuri's POV

"Mmmph..."

I regain consciousness, my eyes winch open as a I blink a few times until my eyes are open wide. I see that I'm in a unfamiliar territory.

"what...? Where...?"

I was on my right side as I lift myself up a little, I scan the room seeing that it was dark, What was in front of me was a row of windows where the lights are shining out, a door and walls.

I looked around and only see darkness, I could make out a few things but it was hard to identify.

I got up, grunted a bit, my awakening was pretty unpleasant but right now seems untolerable.

"where am i?"

I tried to remember what happened, but everything that happened before is blank. I can't remember a thing, all I remember was the school, inside the literature club with natsuki...And, that's it.

My thoughts were going a mile per minute, I can't compensate what's going on but I must move on, i need to know where I'm at.

I walk to the door and open it, I exit the room and looked each direction in the hall. The walls were checker like patterns that were white with a few black ones. The floors were white marble. The lights were on the walls, apparently this hall is kinda wide with two doors on each side of where I'm at. I notice a plaque on the wall from the room I was just in. Apparently it was a printer room? This really made me curious on where I'm at.

I close the door behind me and saw another door near the hall on my left. I walked to it which wasn't far and open it.

I just realized that it's suspiciously quiet, I hadn't heard any noises beside the buzzing noises from the lights.

In front of me where couple of tables and a counter on the edges where a coffee maker and a microwave are.

"huh?"

I looked around, I saw another hall on my left leading into side rooms that has windows and a glass door. I saw a cubical from around the cover corner from a separated wall.

Am I in a office space? How did I get here still baffle me.

I move forward walking aside from the tables and was coming to a corner. I turned left and see down the hall were what I assume were work places.

I walk down the alley and looked at each work station, i was curious if any of these have personal information about themselves or relatives. But I can't be sidetracked, I kept moving and notice near the end was a pretty big area where more desks where a wall on top of the desks were keeping privacy for one another.

I scan the room, only seeing a room on the left side where I didn't pay mind and looked to my right was a door. I didn't want to stay here, even know is quite interesting to see who worked here but I don't think it will help me at the moment.

I went through the door and was in the main halls, it wasn't narrow but it was pretty dark, some of the lights were on but it was further in the hall. Their was plenty of rooms on each end of this hall, but my attention was on the glass window near the end of the hall on my right.

I approach the window which was pretty far from where I was, I saw that it was dark out, most likely is nighttime outside.

I reach the window and looked out, I was surprise to know that I was high up. I see many lights on in the distance in each buildings, but the oddest thing was that none of them were moving. I would expect to see many cars out and about, but I don't know what time it is.

"how did I get here? Why am I here in this building?"

I turned around looking at the eeire dark hallway, just staring at it makes me shiver. I seen many horror movies before but this feels like I'm in one, honestly I shouldn't think like this.

I moved forward without much delay, I want to get out of here, but then my mind thought of this; Where am I specifically?

This isn't near my high school, I could be in a another continent for all I know. This is really making me uneasy.

I was reaching the end of this hall and was reaching at a turning point to two directors. My thoughts were clouded, but half of me must push forward until I leave.

I turned right since the left leads to a dark hall but also a dead end. I continue down the hall, it was partly lit with a few doors on each side, I didn't bother to glance at what the door says, i'm eager to leave this place.

I notice a double door near the middle on the left side of the hall, and look through the windows to see that the area was nicely lit.

I push through and enter, it was a pretty large room with a nice layout with colors on the marble floor, chairs and a couch by the sides.

But my full attention was on the elevators by the left side of the wall, I approach it and push on the down button in between the elevators.

I heard the ding from the elevator and looked at the digital number by the top left side. It seems that the elevator was on the first floor and was coming up, rather slowly if I say. I waited while hearing those dings once in a while.

While I wait, my mind was worried on how I'm getting back, I don't have any money on me, this might be a problem. I looked at the number now and it was on the seventh floor, i must be hide up.

It was still going until it reach the 10th floor, the elevator open as I entered the elevator. The walls were wooden frames but the floor were metal or steel. I push on the first floor button as the elevator closes the doors as I waited inside the elevator.

It was oddly quiet beside the beeping from the indicator, not even music to calm my nerves. This whole situation is unbearable, I shouldn't be here, but I am. I...Am pretty worried about the others, if I'm in another area then they should be as well. I just hope they're okay.

I was getting pretty anxious that I was moving my body impatiently, I should probably try something to cope with this, maybe... Wait, I don't have my bag.

"oh no..."

My bag is still at the school, i can't use it to help me cope or even relieve myself. I was breathing in burst, I grasp my right arm which send pain signal which i winch in pain.

I forgot, I did that yesterday, or so it may seems. I lift my arm up and pull down my sleeve, I saw the wrap bandages with red stain on them, it went down in two separate wraps down my arm to my elbow.

I did it during lunch time, because at class someone told me that I talked to much, and was annoyed by my constant chatting. I was just absorb by that topic that I was lost in my own thoughts, I didn't mean to be annoying.

I lift it up, feeling sad about it, but was interrupted by a sudden shake inside the elevator. "What?"

The elevator doors opened, I looked at the number and it stopped on the sixth floor. I didn't know why it did, but is probably best if I get out, I had a feeling that the elevators are not too safe.

I was in a hall, but on my left lead into a big office area with many cubicals on each side. I went in the middle of the area looking beside the cubical and at the large windows, it was pitch black out. At one of the desks I saw a glimmer of light on the edges, I approach it and saw that it was a Fulton flashlight, I find this handy since this area was pretty dark. It has a clip so I could set it on my blazer, but I don't have a pocket pen so it must hang on my front brim where my orange vest is showing.

The light was LED so it shows the office well. But then I heard a thud from the next room in front of me. "What?"

Their could be signs of people who's still here, but yet again, they probably won't be too please of a random person like me in a office building unattended.

But I must know who it is, maybe he or she could help. I went across and open the double door and was in a dark room, thankfully illuminated from my flashlight.

It was also large and pretty wide with many cubicals, but what was strange was a light shining from the left side on the wall at least 9 nine meters away from me.

I decided to investigate and check it out, I soon reach the cubical desk and saw that it was a mess. A lot of papers and equipments were toss around, but i notice something on the ground with my flashlight.

I took a closer look and saw a horrific slight.

"*gasp*"

I saw a several arm, it was right through the middle it seems, and it was oozing blood.

I was patting frantically, horrified at what I saw, I couldn't process this too fast until I heard a crack, from above. I was hesitant to look, but I turned my head up slowly as my light pan on the ceiling pads.

I saw a red human moving is head unnaturally. I only saw one detail from it, it has no eyes.

It gargle from is thoar, it sounded horrid as I was gasping for noises as I turned right and ran. Right before i did the monster got out of the ceiling and let out a screeching roar that was awful, it didn't sound human but it had similarities.

I ran down the alley of cubicals and was hearing that thing, it was coming after me, my heart was pumping fast, I ran as fast as I could and turned right through another alley of cubicals.

I could hear is footsteps, I gain courage and looked back, it was coming after me, but it was not that fast. Even so I'm not slowing down.

I turned left and ran down the middle of the room reaching the next door. I grab the handle and twisted it and went through, I turned and was about to shut the door until I glimpse at it and it was coming much faster than before. It roar horrendously loud as I yelled and shut the door in is face as I heard a thud.

I was patterning fast as I backed up and I was still hearing is screams behind the door.

I was going to turn tail until I heard loud thud on the door and a something breaking above.

"oh no...!"

It was going in the ceiling again, I ran and notice it was a much larger room with many cubicals on each sides.

I didn't have much time to think, but I didn't have much time to run until it bust through the ceiling pads and was in the middle of the room.

I didn't want it to see me as I duck under behind the cubicals and turned off my flashligh.

I was patterning as I cover my mouth, it could hear me. But how should I know if it knows where I'm at?

I went around and went inside the cubical and hide underneath the desk. I heard is gargles real close, and is footsteps.

It was hard to see him, it was dark where I'm at but I could hear it close. I waited for a while but it moved away but it sounded like it was now searching for me.

I waited for nearly 15 seconds and it wasn't leaving. I think I need to get out of here without being caught.

I crawl out of the desk, I could hear it not that far. It could be at least 5 meters away. I stood in a crouching position and went around the corner of the cubical, this was nerve-wracking.

I possibly couldn't see him well due to the lighting, but I had a feeling it could see me, ironic since it doesn't have any eyes.

It was still far from where I'm at but it seems that is search was getting him rile up. It was moving desks and pushing the cubicals, I believed.

It then started moving, it was coming close to me, I nearly panic but I kept my cool, surprisingly. I was about to pass a cubical when it was really coming close to me. It was going to be right behind me.

I nearly gave out my position by gasping, but I might as well did. I turned the corner of the cubical as that thing was where I was. I could hear is noises it was making, i'm not an expert at making out what it was feeling but it sounded like confusion.

I was on the other side of the cubical as it was still on the other side. I didn't know what to do, that thing was unpredictable. Suddenly it went backwards, I took this as my chance to move on, I wasn't too far from the end of this room but apparently I need to turn right to continue.

I was getting further away when it yelled in what seems to be in frustration. I stop for a second and moved on, but it was still looking for me.

I was getting close to the far right side but still reaching the next corner to the room.

That thing started to run, it sounded close by, does it knows where I'm at?

I reach the right side of the wall, above to turn the corner until that thing was on the other side of the cubical.

I waited, it didn't made so much noise, which really made my heart pump. I was relying on is noises and now it went quiet suddenly.

Then I heard a step, it was behind the corner. I looked back, i saw is silhouette, it doesn't know that I'm around this corner but I didn't made any sudden noises.

It then turned around and kept moving. which I did as well. I hug the wall around the corner, I didn't looked back but I did look around for an exit. I notice a door not far with lights shining out of the window.

I quicken my pace but make sure I didn't make too much noise, I notice the windows from outside. The moon was out with a c shape as I turn my attention back and heard it roars, it didn't sounded happy.

I heard is footsteps coming close, I took cover inside the cubical, luckily it was shielding from the middle of the room.

It was so close but it was on the other side, it stops suddenly. I heard is gargles which have a few cutoffs for odd reason. I waited but I still heard that thing from the right side, I was afraid if is standing right in front of the door.

I decided to check as I went out of the cubical and moved to the last cubical, I looked around the corner and see it standing there, moving is body like it couldn't hold is balance.

Is it really just standing there? Does it know that I need to get out through this specific door?

I wasn't going to wait as I went into the cubical and grab a black stapler and went out. I aim near the corner where I came from and throw it.

It broke from the impact as it got is Attention, it screech loudly and ran torwards the sound. I quickly but quietly as I can, ran to the door and open it. I twisted the knob which was pretty loud, right where it was quiet, it made a noise, i believe it heard it.

I went through and closed the door when it started chasing after me, it ran right at the door as I saw is entire appearance through the little window.

Is red color was lose skin, showing is muscle meat that look like it was torn apart. It has teeth but from above is jaw

It bang on the door a few time, but I turned and head down the hallway and was approaching a door near the end.

I heard that familiar thud follow by a breaking noise, it was trying to find a way here.

I quicken my pace and reach the door, it leads downstairs as I entered and was in the stairwell.

The stairs goes down in a spiral, the same goes upward. I went downstairs hearing the echoes from my footsteps.

I didn't have time to reflect on what I just saw, all I know is that it was still after me, and I'm not resting until I'm out of this building.

I was reaching the next floor as I look over the railing to see how far I am to the bottom, I was still pretty high up as I continued, passing the next room.

I was about to go downstairs until I saw chain sign that said in red text: "Stairway is out of order."

"you got to be kidding."

I was upset, I wasn't going to have this get in my way but before I could attempt to get over this, I heard multiple banging on metal that was getting close.

Soon it was right next to the stairs where I came from and a loud bang was coming from the vent.

I was completely stagger, I look back but the chains were a lot to climb over, but I didn't have the chance to try when the vent cover flew off and crashed into the stairs and tumble downwards.

It roar and climb out, falling on the ground, it was 5 feet away from where I was. I was in panic as I let my body in control and went to the next door on the fourth floor.

I went inside and shut the door, I didn't see it chase after me but I figured it was going back in the ventilation. I turned around and see a row of cubical desks going from left to right.

It was already hitting the vent cover right next to me on my left, I turned right seeing a door not that far, i ran right after it broke down the vent cover and climb down. I ran towards the door and open it and closed it while it was running torwards me.

That thing is becoming faster than the minute. I turned around knowing it was gonna crawl on the ceiling, I was in another large office space that kept going around the corner.

I moved since I heard it in the ceiling, I went around the corner and heard a crash and a loud thud, it must of fell out of the ceiling. It roar and gargle as I saw personal office rooms by the right side that has doors.

I entered and shut it, it has a locked so I locked it and see that it has window shades as I lower them down and took cover. All of this happened fast, I hoped it doesn't know where I'm at.

I could hear it very close, it was making noises, it sounded like it was searching but stood there. I was laying underneath a desk, just resting and hoping it doesn't know where I'm at, apparently it doesn't know.

I waited for nearly 20 seconds until I heard it hitting the walls and something moving, I think it went back in the ceiling. It did went back in since I heard movement from above. I didn't move or made any noises beside my patting breathes.

From here, I feel like I can finally reflect on what just happened. What, is that thing? I never seen anything like it before, nothing, not even the books I read had ever made me this scared before. But, their's a fine line between fiction and reality, i'm not reading a book in the comfort of my home. No, i'm living the moment, my life is in danger and I managed to get away from that horrifying thing.

But what happen here, this is a office building, why is there a monster in this building? This whole situation just got way worse then I expected, I want to go home. i don't want to be here, I don't want to deal with that thing.

But, I have to get out of here, I'm afraid it might know where I'm at, eventually. I can't stay here, hoping that it will hide from employees in this building. Besides, the conversation with them might be unbelievable for them to understand what I just been through.

My breath was calm, but my mental and nervous state was still ill, I can't stay, I must get out of here.

I find my courage and got out, with a few hesitation. I crawl out and approach the door, I must be quiet as ever as I open the door.

I exited and looked around, it was dark but a little light shine from the moon this night. I turned on my flashlight and venture forward, moving around cubical and desks.

It was quiet, I didn't heard any noises. I don't know if is a good thing or a bad thing. I pass a row of desks and was coming close to another door at the end of this room.

I was on edge, I can't be comfortable yet, not until I'm out of this building. I open the door quietly, and push it open. My light shine in the room, more cubicals, this place is nothing but work isn't it.

I entered and close the door, apparently this room was small, it lead to the right side through a hall. I continued, listening out for any noises from that thing.

I walk pass a room on my left and notice a light shining down on an elevator. I got a little happy seeing it, I hope it was a different elevator though.

I push the down button but nothing happened: "What?"

I looked at the button and notice texts beneath the buttons.

"Employees elevator only. Key user's only."

"what the...?"

I was at the mixer of confusion and anger, I didn't have time for this. I might as well take the stairs.

I continued and went around a wall and moved forward. I was leaving the office space area and was approaching the personal office rooms and other rooms by the north side of this building.

I was walking and saw something spark not too far from where I'm at, I soon saw a corpse laying on is front side, showing half of her body from the doorway. I was shocked, but at this point, this isn't the most surprising thing I saw this night.

It was a female woman wearing a black suit, her body looked pale and slightly dirty. She was holding a sliver key, it could be a key for the elevator. So I hope.

I was going to approach it until the body was drag into the room.

"oh..."

That made my heart drop, the door was still open and inside the room was dark. I had a hunch feeling that it was luring me into a trap. I wasn't going to fall for it.

I slowly walked pass with my light off and continue down the narrow hall. I reach the end and was at the two sides in this hall. I turned on my flashlight and looked at the rooms names, apparently these are just personal offices like one of them were administrators.

Overall, none of the rooms lead to the stairs so I have no choice but to try to get that key and hope is for the elevator. I can't believe I'm going to risk my life for a key that I don't know where it goes.

I went to that room, shining my light in there. I went in slowly, looking around.

It wasn't long until I saw the body hanging in the ceiling, is a trap, I know it is, but I still went up to it.

I shine my light on the ceiling looking for it, it wasn't there and I couldn't hear it either.

I looked at the key and went and reach for it, I grab it with my left hand and suddenly my arm was grab by a red hand. I yelled in fear, I heard it roars as it pull both me and the corpse up but apparently we were a little heavy.

My horrors were starting to overwhelmed me, but I wasn't gonna give up easily. I started to hit that thing arm as hard as I can, I guess my survival instincts kicked in. It actually let go, I heard its yells sounded like shouts in pains as I fell and landed on my behind.

I was holding on the key as I quickly got up and turn tail and ran around the corner and attempted to put the key in the keyhole. I miss a few but thankfully I got in rather quickly and twisted it. I push the down button as I heard the familiar ding as it was on the second floor.

"oh come on!"

I heard a thud not far from here and that thing awful yells, all it needs to do is come around this large piller and I'm done for. I looked back and the number was now on the fourth floor, where I'm at. My hearts and nerves are chilled, I couldn't bare this as the elevator opened as I slide right in and quickly hit the the first floor.

While I was doing that, it was coming around the corner quickly and was so close but the door close before he could intersect the door from closing. I heard it banging on the door as I was patting heavily, I made it.

The elevator was already moving as i was trying to calm down, I heard the beep as I was on the third floor but suddenly it stops and I heard a bang from above and the elevator tilted down forward a bit.

I gasp frightened as the elevator doors opened but the one on the other side was halfway open and the elevator wasn't fully down. I heard something like a spring noise and the elevator bounce a little, I need to get out, I think this elevator is going to fall.

I bend down and attempted to separate the door which was a little heavy but I managed to get it open all the way. I heard more spring breaking as i didn't waste time and got down on my back and went through the small entrance and push myself out.

The elevator bounce a bit which made my heart skip a beat but i managed to push myself out and landed on the ground. Then the elevator gave out and slide down but to my surprise it didn't fell all the way which reveal It standing on top of the elevator.

I got up and turned around but it grab my left ankle as I fall down on the ground as the elevator fell and crash. I turned over and saw is dead looking features, it was going to be on top of me but my right leg was bended enough for me to kick it in is face as hard as I could as it went back and nearly fell in the elevator space.

It let go of my ankle as I backed up and got up and ran down the hallway and turn right and approach a door and went through. That thing was in pursuit and wasn't far, i was in a long office space with many desks and cubical. But I didn't stop running, that thing was close as I looked back quickly to see it 5 feet away.

I continue running as I heard is footsteps very close and I was quickly approaching a desk in front of me, it was wide and I didn't have time to slow down and went around so I did the practical thing at the time. I went and roll right over it on my side and nearly fell on the ground, but I catch myself.

I heard a odd yell from it, i glance back and it ran right at the desk laying on it but it was crawling over it. I proceed to continue running as I pass a row of cubicals and a square pillar that was close to the cubicals.

I ran around it and ran through the row of cubicals on each side and was coming towards the door near the end of this office space. It was not falling behind as I heard is footsteps coming close. I didn't dare to look back as I was approaching a three way cubicals in front of me.

I ran to one in the right side and went through the cubical alley and was close to the door as I ran and open it and closed it behind me. Right when I did i heard a crash right afterwards as I was pretty winded but I push myself until I'm out of here.

I turned and ran and notice the stairwell not that far, I pass a square piller and open the door and was back in the stairwell and ran down the stairs.

I almost trip and fell but managed to get down the first flight of stairs and went to next and was now on the second floor, i didn't stop until I was on the first floor. I ran down and was approaching the first floor as I ran down the stairs and decided to jump down and head to the door and went through.

I shut the door, tired and winded, my chest was beating from the exhaustion as i took the time to regenerate for a second. I turned around and placed my back against the door and notice i was in the main halls near the entrance.

So far I didn't heard any noises, beside my heavy breathing. I slide down the door sitting behind it, having my left leg bended up for my arm to rest on it.

I could go for a drink, i'm pretty parch, I was sweating. I can't believe i got through that without getting harm, it was too close for me.

I couldn't rest long until I heard a yelling echo from above. I got up and turn right to head to the entrance. I went around the receptionist desk and went to the doors and hoped it will open, to my relief it did.

I push through the door and was outside, it was quiet out, no noises of cars or anything. But then I felt wind and the sound it going through my eyes as it whistle.

It felt good to feel real air again beside the stuffy and damp air inside the office spaces.

It was dark beside the lamplights shining orange and the lights inside of buildings. I walked forward a bit, their was no cars insight. Strange, but yet again, disturbing.

It was starting to feel cold as I wander on the right side of this sidewalk and moved forward, wanting to find any life.

I was worried about my situation, this isn't normal, I have no clue on why this is happening but part of me feel like this is only the beginning to something horrible.

I was approaching the end of the sidewalk and was at the crossing on the left side. I looked back and forth down the road and saw nothing but buildings and street lights. I felt pretty hopeless until I noticed a light moving down the left side of the road.

Was it a car?

"h-hey!"

I called out while waving one of my hands, until I felt suddenly drowsy and my vision became blurry.

"w-what...?"

I lose balance and fell over as the last thing I saw was darkness.
