WHAT NOW?

Why do we even fight anymore?

Will it matter if everyone gets wiped out?

Will my family survive if GENESIS attacks Earth?

Maybe I don't want to know the answer.

I wanted to groan from the headache and the grogginess I was feeling.

Heard some muffled sounds and voices.

There is a strong chemical odor coming into my nostrils and I'm feeling nauseous because of it.

For a while I heard beeping sounds from something like a heart monitor.

My entire body was feeling stiff but I forced myself to open my eyes just barely.

'Too bright'

The fluorescent lights above were stinging my eyes.

I groaned and struggled to move my head a little and have a look around. I was really disoriented about my present location and time,let alone how I had even got here.

There was a white wall to my right and some light was coming through a small window.

"You're awake"

A young,black haired lady in glasses and wearing a labcoat walked closer to where I was laying.

I was wearing an orange jumpsuit. Ah yes, it was my uniform although the sleeves had been folded and there was an I.V. drip on my wrist.

"You've been lying unconscious here for over about two days. You had oxygen deprivation but your condition is now stable."

Oh, so she was a doctor. Hold on, what had just happened?

"I've read your ID tag but I want to confirm"

He brought the E-pad she had been holding in front of her.

"Is your name Hachiman Hikigaya,Nationality: Japanese and Alliegance : Atlantic Federation?"

I stared at her quietly for a moment before affirming.

Not I was in any position to resist in any case.

I took a look to other side and there was translucent sheet and could figure out there were more hospital beds and patients.

This was clearly a medical facility although the uniforms some of them wearing which I could figure gave me a sense of dread.

"Miss,what is this place?" I asked with a sinking feeling. Maybe I didn't want to know.

She stayed silent for a while and worked on her E-pad.

"It's Doctor. You're at a ZAFT medical facility. You understand your position now,soldier?"

Well,figures. I didn't even have the enerrgy to react strongly. The Dominion...,Captain!

"Where... is Captain Badgiruel?"

The Doctor was done with her E-pad and held it to her side.

"Captain Natarle Badgiruel had to be operated on because of her bullet wounds and blood loss and her condition was very precarious. She's likely to survive but we can only wait till she gains consciousness."

I closed my eyes and feel tiredness coming back to me.

"For a Natural, it's impressive that she survived this long"

Her remark was clearly a slight towards Naturals and their supposed inferior survivability but I took no offense to it since it was kind of true.

I opened my eyes again and saw her walking closer to my bedside. She removed my I.V. drip and unhooked me from the heart monitor.

"I've deemed you fit to discharge. In a few minutes you will be taken for questioning. Don't even consider escaping since there are guards posted outside,not that you can find your way around this PLANT colony"

Well,I guess this was it. I don't know what to expect given we had just tried to destroy their Space colonies.

I didn't even care to ask about Azrael or if he was even alive. F*** that guy.
