Ichika's POV

I stifled a yawn as I laid my head on my desk. Staring ahead, my eyes laid on the clock.

Great. Club activities starts in a hour. I'm dreading to meet Nishinoya after yesterday's incident. But yet, part of me wants to see him again. I looked at my lunchbox in front of me. I wasn't hungry so I decided to take a slow walk around the school.

Basking myself in the warm sunlight, I breathed in the fresh spring air.

I took a seat a bench under a cherry blossom tree, I looked up and closed my eyes. I decided that Nishinoya was the least of my worries as I'll don't have to face him personally. I'll just take some photos of the volleyball training and go home once their done. We won't ever have anything to do with each other again. Opening my eyes I was about to head back into class when a figure stopped me dead in my tracks.

There he is. What perfect timing.

Under a cherry blossom tree, he stood under its shade in his black uniform, his left feet leaning on the trunk of the tree. His arms folded and eyes closed, as though in deep thought.

I let out a groan. I decided I just need to get past him quietly, he won't notice me then.

Just as I was about to pass him, his eyes opened, revealing alarm. But was there also relief in his gaze?

"Ichika!"

I stood rooted to the ground as I felt his eyes boring onto my back. I sucked in a deep breath and turned around hands behind my back, facing him, forcing a smile on my face.

"Ichika..." his voice trailed off. He simply avoided my gaze and studied his feet.

I tipped my head to one side. It was weird to see Nishinoya looking nervous. I feel sorry for him. Just as I thought he was going to leave me hanging, he spoke up.

"Ichika, I apologise for my behaviour yesterday!" He sincerely said but in a very loud voice as he bowed almost at a ninety degrees towards me.

Stunned, I stepped back, giving quick glances to my surroundings. Nope. Just us. Now I turned back to Nishinoya, who was still bowing...

Jeez... this is weird...

Finally, which seems like forever, he straightened up, still avoiding my gaze.

"Apology accepted, Nishinoya. I'm sorry too." I said.

Immediately he looked up at me. His eyes seemed to widened as though he was shocked. He then gave a small smile and I was pretty sure I saw his cheeks flushed red.

That's pretty cute... what? I can't believe I'm having feelings for this guy!

Just then, the bell rang, startling me out of my thoughts.

"Wanna walk to the gym together? I mean... you're coming today right?" Nishinoya asked, his eyes sparkling with hope.

How could I say no?

Without thinking twice, I nodded my head. His eyes gleamed brightly, as he clenched his fists in excitement this time.

Nishinoya POV

We walked to the gym side by side. Occasionally, I stole glances at Ichika. Why does she have to look so perfect? The sun ray shine directly down at her, making her look like an angel that came down from heaven.

Then, I felt light tap on my hand, I glanced down and went bright red. Our hands were touching one another. Ichika also realised this and her cheeks flushed red. Immediately, we pulled away, pretending that that had never happened at all as we looked at opposite directions.

When we reached the gym, almost everyone was there and Kageyama and Hinata were practicing... again, as usual. But something seemed off about Kageyama. He looked... light headed.

As Kageyama sets the ball, Hinata got ready to jump. Kageyama sets the ball but it flew over Hinata's head and went bouncing towards us.

The ball came in between Ichika's and my legs, making us stumble. The ball went under Ichika's legs, making her lose her balance. She was about to fall backwards, but I reached out and grasped her hand, pulling her forward. Ichika let out a yelp of surprise as she crashed into me as I fell to the floor.

I spoke my head, hoping to clear it after the crash. My vision focused but immediately went bright red as Ichika's face was just inches away from me. I stiffened as Ichika opened her eyes and looked at me, clearly as shocked as I am. I was drawn to her gaze as I relaxed a little.

Then, I heard a click. "Hey! This should totally go in the yearbook!!!" I heard Tanaka's voice. Ichika's eyes widened as she looked up. She hauled herself up whispering a 'sorry' as I scrambled off the floor, embarrassed. I then whipped my head towards Tanaka.

"Hey! Delete that right now!" I demanded as I snatched Tanaka's phone from his hands. I immediately deleted it and also deleted it from the recently deleted column. With Tanaka, you should be better safe then sorry.

"Noya..." Tanaka whined. I tossed the phone back to him and sighed.

"Sorry, that was my fault." Kageyama apologised to Ichika and me. "What's the matter Kageyama?" Hinata asked in a rather teasing tone. Kageyama immediately gave him a warning glare. But Hinata carried on, "Still thinking about that girl today, aren't you?"

"Boke!" Kageyama yelled as his face turned into a fierce scowl. He stomped over and picked up Hinata by the collar of his shirt and began shaking him and yelling 'boke' over and over again straight to his face.

Daichi had to break them up again while Suga stood beside Asahi, not saying a word.

"Kageyama's in love!" Hinata opened up his arms in delight.

"Boke! I told you already! I'm. Not. In. Love! You wanna talk about love then talk about Noya-San and Ichika!" Kageyama snapped at he pointed towards us.

Soon, all eyes was on us.

"Yea, Noya! What's going on between the both of you? You came in to the gym together." Tanaka sneered.

"They were just quarrelling yesterday, but now their acting like lovers for life." Tukishima remarked, a smug smile written on his face as he pushed up his glasses.

"Uhh... Nothing! Nothing's going on between us... you know... we're just friends!" Ichika and I said at the same time.

Everyone stopped and stared at us for a moment, then burst out laughing. Both of us went bright red and shuffled our feet.

Today was going to be a long day... but a good one.
