Adrien walked into Marinette's family's bakery after a fencing lesson one day, not expecting to see his girlfriend. He listened to her go on and on about all the assignments she was missing because of her secret superhero life (she was so busy since becoming the guardian) and saying that she would probably be tied to her desk all night.
So, he didn't expect to see her behind the counter making macarons when he walked in.
"Adrien!" She said, running from what she was doing to throw her arms around his neck once she saw him.
"Hey, m'lady," He smiled, kissing the top of her head. "What happened to homework?"
She glanced around the bakery before saying, "I had to make more power-up macarons. Just in case someone else needs one or something. You never know when we'll need help during an Akuma battle."
"Ah," He said, glancing at the rainbow macarons over the counter. "Do you want a study buddy? I'm assuming you haven't finished your homework yet."
"You know me so well. Of course, I'd like a study buddy, kitty." She smiled. "Do you want something to eat?"
"Sure," He replied. He was hungry after his lesson.
She grabbed a croissant (his favorite) out of the case. He went to grab his wallet out of his duffel bag, but she put her hand over his and said, "No, no, it's my treat."
"Ok," He smiled, taking the croissant he was handing her and took a bite, making her giggle.
They walked behind the counter and Mari grabbed the power-ups she made (and there were a lot. No wonder she was so behind in school), and they made their way up to her room.
