Neon Genesis Warframe

ESKK: Well here we go chapter 3 where we reunite with Rei and have the first battle between Warframe and Angels. Now let's get started.

(Start Orbiters)

Apparently the Tenno Faction was a contradiction. From the sounds of things from what Asuka and Misato learned no one in the Tenno Faction knew that the Tenno were in fact ageless children behind their Warframes. From the sounds of it no one knew that the Warframes were in fact just puppets being controlled by the Tenno. The only one who knew this were the Tenno themselves, the Lotus, Tenshin Dax from the Conclave, and now Misato Katsuragi.

Misato would have argued against this but she had no room to argue considering what NERV used to do. Speaking of Tenshin Misato found out he handled all of the Tenno's training which meant he was like their Grand Master of the Tenno Ways. Now since the Faction had a Caste System but also carried itself like a private military company its command structured varied. Luckily after Misato told Lotus all she could about the Angels in how they work but not how to detect them, since she didn't understand that tech talk, the Lotus relied on the three newly acquired Cephalons to tell her. It wasn't that hard but they also took a variable that their detection method may be outdated as well.

Asuka had quickly acquitted herself to being a Tenno catching up to Shinji quickly. After a paintjob was done for her Warframe and gaining attachments for it. She had modeled Valkyr off of her old EVA unit 02 in terms of color scheme. Furthermore after acquiring Blueprints from Mana Asuka now had her primary weapon being the Corinth Shotgun with the Astiletto as her side arm weapons. Tenshin had suggested that Asuka used the Lacera weapon and the girl quickly took to it like a fish to water. In her hands through Valkyr Asuka had become a deadly girl of carnage and had this as her go to.

Speaking of Asuka she had been trying to make herself out to be the top Tenno but the other Tenno either ignored her or disregarded her as another rookie of sorts. Once they were all prepped and ready to go they were off to Pluto to locate Rei and rescue her from whatever she was facing. In terms of Asuka's Orbiter she had already complained at how plain it looked but since it did belong to her it gave her free reign to decorate it. The Cephalon that was given to her was Balthasar and after an explanation on who they were Asuka was of course surprised in this. But not even five minutes in Balthasar was already acting motherly to Asuka to which Casper explained they were modeled after three major aspects of their creator, the woman which was Casper, the Mother which was Balthasar, and the Scientist which was Melchior.

Despite this Asuka was clearly on the receiving end of a lot of Melchior's lectures on Asuka's behavior. Asuka responded that Melchior was not her mother and that if she was in her Orbiter that means Asuka was in charge. Melchior agreed but also spoke that there were loop holes in that thus Asuka found herself punished via near impossible training simulators when not on a mission. Yeah Melchior knew how to spank her kids even without her own body. Asuka had yet to physically meet the Lotus but since Misato joined up with the Tenno's faction she had once more taken her old spot as the Children's Commanding Officer.

Right now they were in a group chat setting as Misato appeared in the three Tenno's hubs. Misato was able to take the load off of the Lotus back in handling the Tenno's mission which Misato was surprised to find the Lotus did a lot of it. "Ok kids here's the deal, we found Rei and from the looks of it she's been one step ahead of the Corpus on Pluto." Misato explained as she looked to the children.

"Ok I guess there's more good news." Mana asked as she was still using her Mag Warframe as she had a new Warframe being constructed on her foundry.

"Yeah not long after you guys got to Jupiter to find Asuka we detected a Transference Signal on Pluto." Misato said causing the trio to go wide eyed.

"Of course the Commanders favorite figured it out no problem." Asuka growled as she was clearly not happy about having to be knocked out to figure it out.

"Um Misato three is no more NERV so..." Misato began and thus Asuka growled to this. "Anyway yeah Rei probably has a Warframe now but that's not all." Misato said before she sighed and then showed what looked like surveillance images. "We got these images after a recent Spy Mission on Pluto, tell me if you two recognize it... Shinji... Asuka." Misato said and thus they looked to the massive creature in what looked like an egg.

"Is that?" Shinji asked as he recognized the bone mask anywhere.

"Yeah if we can get a proper scan it will confirm if this is an Angel or not." Misato said and thus they knew this was bad this was real bad.

"Wait there look." Mana said as she pointed to certain parts of the angel. "That's Sentient biotech attached to it." Mana said as they all heard this. "Oh no." Mana said as she realized something.

"What?" Asuka asked and thus Mana spoke.

"Well I figured out who might be responsible for your monster Angels little comeback." Mana said as she knew the Sentient have to be involved in this somehow. "I'll explain after we find Rei." Mana said as Misato understood.

"So your job is simple find Rei and get out of there." Misato ordered and thus they understood the mission.

"Right." They all called out knowing they had to locate Rei and move.

(Scene Break Pluto Rei)

Rei looked to the Sleeping Angel as a few days had passed since its arrival. Already the Corpus were studying it no doubt to profit off war for their cult of money. She sat upon a rock overlooking the sight with Trinity kneeling next to her and her Cave shelter behind her. She hardly left her lair unless it was to find food or to cause trouble for the Corpus to keep them from finding her. She had also gone out to acquire any weapon she could to keep herself alive and one step ahead of the Corpus.

As she sat there she noticed something and gave the Angel a deeper look. For a moment she thought she imagined it but then saw it again the Angel it moved it stirred. "It's going to awaken." Rei said as she then stood up and looked to Trinity who was on her knees still. As she looked she then took note to four unknown Ships flying in before they turned invisible to avoid detection. As Rei saw this she looked to them and knew those were not of Corpus origin. If that is the case then aid may have in fact arrived for her.

She then in turn returned to her cave to prepare herself for what was to come. Rei then walked next to the fire pit where she then laid down on a tarp which was among varying items she had gathered and allowed her mind to drift to blissful sleep. As she slept she once more performed Transference to allow her Warframe to move. Outside Trinity raised her head and stood up before taking her staff for combat. She then ran down the hill before she switched to sliding knowing she needed to guide the others to where she kept her body assuming they were in fact allies.

(Back with the Squad)

Within the hall of a corpus base, a blade came out and cut along of a vent cover, going all the way around before the blade was remove and the cover was remove by a pair of hands as it was Shinji who was doing it with Mana behind him as she said, "Nicely done. I didn't think much of using the ventilation system. How did you come with this plan?"

"Well sort of remember something that happen before, when Asuka, Rei, and I were locked out of NERV during a, we had to use vents to get around when certain door didn't or couldn't open up Manuel," Shinji said as he hop out of the vent with Mana following as Asuka jump out last as she said, "Yeah it was working until you were looking up our skirts."

"You and Rei went ahead of me before I could go first, and it was hard to see anyways of where we were going, and you suddenly started kicking me when I just look up just a bit to see ahead, and made us fall from the vents" Shinji said as Asuka cross her arms at him and said, "Excuses."

"From the sound of it, Shinji is innocent," Mana said as Asuka looks at her and said, "Why are you taking his side for that?"

"For certain situation like that, it's kind of obvious of what could happen, as what did you think would happen if you went first because you wanted too while showing off your private area unintentionally, with a boy behind you?" Mana said as Asuka was about to say something but then she stop to realize that moment as Mana was right before she gotten into an angry fit as she then said, "Then he should have said something."

"I did before I went in, then you call me a coward of not going in," Shinji said as Mana pull out her melee weapon as she said, "As much I like hearing your stories about you guys, we need to get moving before and corpus patrol comes around."

Shinji pull out his sword as just like before keeping fire arm use to a minimal with Asuka pulling out her scissor like weapon with a sickle attach to it by a rope as Mana pull up her hub to check the surrounding area and see where the void signature is at as she said, "Alright I got a lock on Rei. Let's move."

The trip soon moved out while they search out for Rei hoping they can find her soon and somehow stop the angel from awakening outside.

(Rei)

As the Trinity Warframe walk through the halls, hiding around corners from the corpus guards as they pass her, before she suddenly came up to them taking them down quickly, hitting their limb before striking them hard with her staff weapon she had before finish them off by thrusting her weapon into their very being killing them.

Not the first time she had taken a life, as when any guard found her while she was in her Warframe, force to fight back and kill them, take their weapon as her own and find any supplies they may have around.

It wasn't easy but she does what she need to do, as then she pick up the bodies of the corpus guards and drag them to a place where they won't be founded for a while before moving on, as suddenly a suddenly ping is heard as she look something on her hub is showing her something, like the trinity was telling her something, as she saw 3 arrows that were near each other and somewhere on the hub said "Void Signatures detected."

'Void' that a word she understood no doubt trinity hold much information sharing freely with Rei as she knew the void was some sort of energy that was deep within her, powering the Warframe she uses, one that was left abandon and alone before she found it or it found her.

Somehow she connecting with it when she fell asleep to rest woke up soon after within trinity and soon learn what it can do, as it had amazing abilities, but it has limited combat abilities and it was mostly meant as a support unit, how fitting that seem to be her roll in most cases, a support to back up her teammate or co-worker depends on how you see it.

Anyways, she knew right away these void signatures mean there are others like her, perhaps allies, the ones she saw coming before as she soon went on the search for them hoping to find them soon, get help, if they willingly to lend her help.

(Back with the trio)

The group came upon a few patrols as they quickly taken care of them, with Asuka getting a taste for combat in her Warframe, as training is one thing, the real thing seem more thrilling in a way as she use her weapon to slash and cut up enemies with ease, didn't help that she open up her weapon like the pair of giant scissor they are to decapitate someone from behind.

Shinji was holding well his own as he use his sword, learning how to improve his sword style and master the dash attack he first use on Jupiter, with Mana back him up sense Asuka was handling herself well enough and rather stick with Shinji than angry red.

After taking down the last guard of the patrol, mana check her hub again to check the status of Rei location and it was strange to say as she saw the void signature moving, and it was coming closer to them as she said, "Well I guess this is becoming more easier than I thought it would be."

"How so?" Shinji asked as Mana turn to him and said, "Check your hub and check for Rei's void Signature."

As Shinji did so as he look and saw it moving and saw it was coming closer to them as he said, "She's coming closer to us. You think she know we're looking for her?"

"That or she is looking for us for help, either way it seem we're going to meet in the middle," Mana said with Asuka came up as she clean up a bit as she said, "Good, I was getting sick of fighting these guys already. Let's get wonder girl and get out of here."

"But what about the angel?" Shinji question as Mana said to him, "If it's still developing itself, we can worry about it later, as after we get Rei, we get her prepared as well, and figure out how to deal with said angel before it awakens if Corpus doesn't do anything stupid beforehand, and request for back up just in case."

"I hope your right," Shinji said as the trio soon move on as Mana took out a sensor ahead with her firearm as Asuka said, "This better be the first child or else I will be pissed off."

(Meanwhile a ways ahead)

As the group were coming closer to the void Signature, Mana saw the signature had halted for some reason, as she wonder what that could mean, before long they all heard a fight was happening ahead, no doubt corpus patrol may have found their friend, as they rush to arrive to the fight, seeing a few squads of corpus guards firing at a corner of the hall as suddenly a Warframe pop out and started to return fire upon the Corpus troops.

Taking down quite a few of them before went back into hiding and reload while the enemies lay down suppression fire as Shinji said, "IS that Rei?"

"One way to find out, let kick these guy's asses!" Asuka said as she was the first to go in and fight against the corpus forces as Mana and Shinji follow suit.

Asuka started up by using her weapon to slice up her foes making sure they didn't see her coming until it was too late. Once she did this she spun around and fired off her Shotgun weapon at point blank blasting the Corpus grunts head off. She then dodged an attack just in time to allow Mana a shot at them. Mana made quick work of her foes before moving on to the robots. From what she saw there were a few Shield boosting ones, and one Oxium Drone. The fliers were always a pain in the ass to deal with but luckily Shinji was ready for it as he proceeded to fire of his main weapon at them. Asuka got one of them as well as the point was to take care of the drones.

Once they got rid of the Drones they walked over to the Trinity who left her cover but still had a hand resting on her weapons just in case. "Who are you?" Rei was heard from the Warframe to which Asuka growled only for Shinji to put a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

"Rei... it's us... Shinji and Asuka." Shinji said as he gestured to himself and Asuka.

"That cannot be." Rei said with her simple monotone. "Last I had seen of Shinji we were fighting the 14th Angel, Zuriel and Asuka was incapacitated with the loss of both her EVA's arms and its head." Rei explained as she looked to the duo. "NERV was prepared to activate the Self Destruct to kill the Angel by any means necessary." Rei said and thus Asuka growled at the mention of Zuriel.

"Don't remind me." Asuka growled as she turned away and crossed her arms showing she did not wish to be reminded of that particular incident.

"Rei it's us." Shinji said as he looked to Rei. "Before we met Asuka you slapped me for talking bad about my father." Shinji said as Rei remembered that incident. "And that was after I had delivered your new ID card to you." Shinji said as Rei looked to Shinji as Rei was still suspicious.

"Very well inform me of an incident that only Ikari-Kun would know of." Rei ordered and thus Shinji gulped to this with worry.

"I tried delivering the ID card to you to your apartment... but when I entered I tried on my father's glasses." Shinji began as Rei remembered that incident. "But you were in the shower and came out of said Shower finding me there." Shinji said making Asuka go wide eyed to this.

"Wait what?!" Asuka asked looking between Shinji and the assumed Rei.

"Eventually when you took them off I fell on you and ended up... touching your breasts." Shinji admitted and thus Rei was in turn convinced on this.

"Ikari-Kun… it pleases me to see that you made it as well." Rei said as she then looked to Asuka. "Judging by the voice I assume this is Pilot Soryu." Rei said as she looked to Asuka who was very angry.

"Yeah Wonder Girl surprised to see you made it. Then again I guess being the Commanders favorite and the 'First Child,' figuring out the Warframe was easy." Asuka said and thus Rei nodded to this.

"Ok our meet and greet is all good now question... where the heck is your body?" Mana asked as she looked to Rei.

"My body I've kept it hidden in a cave and came out here with my Warframe to locate any supplies to ensure I live." Rei said as she looked to the group.

"In that case we better get a move on and reunite you with your body and then get you into your Orbiter." Mana said but Rei had more to tell.

"I don't think it shall be that simple. As we speak the Corpus are tampering with the Angel and when you arrived I had saw it stirring it can and will awaken any moment." Rei said to which the trio of Tenno were wide eyed to this.

"Oh come on why can't, it ever be simple?!" Asuka yelled as clearly she did not expect this.

"It almost never is." Mana confessed knowing full well that the job is never as easy as one would hope it to be.

"Ok so we have to find Rei's body first and then destroy the Angel." Shinji said and thus Mana nodded.

"Pretty much yeah." Mana said with a nod and thus they had their mission.

"Ok let's move the sooner we can get Rei out the sooner we can figure out how to stop this thing without an EVA to use against the Angel's AT Field." Asuka said as he spun her hand around signaling it was time to move out. Rei then looked over to Shinji who then sighed knowing explanation was in order.

"I'll explain as best I Can on the way." Shinji said and thus they were off to find Rei's body and with it a way to stop the Angel.

(Meanwhile with Sachiel)

The Angel knew not how long it had been resting here only that before this its sleep was disturbed by another force. Its 'eye's,' opened for but a moment and when they did they saw machines and some lilin like beings poking and probing at it. Yet despite this it sensed another object a pull a call forcing it to follow. Adam Sachiel sensed Adam and knew that his mission was to unite with Adam and allow its sort to evolve as the dominate species of Earth…. but this wasn't Earth far from it. The stars were all wrong and even the moons or the lack thereof were wrong. In fact this entire planet was just a frozen tundra to the Angel proving that it was in fact not on Earth.

But with it a hatred came to be a desire to see something exterminated and with it a single word joined it as the source of it all. This word also carried with it pain and suffering to which the Angel knew it did not like it one bit. "Tenno." That word echoed in its mind and was filled with venom. Thus the Angel knew it had to awaken and slay the Tenno to end this hatred and the pain that came with it as well.

With the corpus team were still examined the angel embryo, to suddenly the scan were picking up something, computers were acting up, with the Corpus crew wondering what is going on as they barely touch the thing, with the embryo suddenly pulse out like a heartbeat before a moaning sound came forth from the embryo.

Suddenly the embryo started to expand with all the humans of Corpus cry out in panic with all the robots stood there before getting crush by the angel coming forth.

From the top of the Embryo arms seem to emerge from it before placing them steady on the ground crushing more Corpus personnel as it moan out again with a pair of legs soon forming as well.

From the corpus base as the four Warframes exit and saw the angel awakening as Mana said, "Whoa, this is too early, those guy must have woke it up from its sleep."

"Don't worry it would be put back asleep for good once we're done with it!" Asuka said thinking it should be an easy kill with Rei said from Trinity, "Don't be so sure, the angels are still powerful in their own rights, and we are still new using these Warframes, we have yet to discover all of their abilities."

"Wait, this angel looks familiar," Shinji said as when the angel as the angel form more and started to stand up on its own legs, with its arms stretching out to help it stand up before its white mask of a face form, the pads on its shoulder with what seem like added spikes with the pads extending downwards of its arms, and ribs near the center with what seems armor plating around its body surrounding its red core showing in the center, the first angel Shinji fought when he first came to Tokyo-3, Sachiel.

"It's the first angel I fought and… lost too," Shinji said as when he first face the angel, it wasn't really a fight, the angel just pick him up, when he first sell when he was still trying to figure out how make the Eva walk, and base the EVA head with an energy weapon in its arms, not the best thing to feel, even if his sync level was at an average low level, but suddenly he notice something different about it as he said, "But it's strange, its shorter than it should be."

"Shorter, it's the size of an Eidolon, how bigger was it before?" Mana asked with Rei answering her, "Around hundred and fifty feet."

"But that not all, it's way different as well, like it had extra armor on it that wasn't there before," Shinji said as Mana look closely and to her shock when she see what Shinji mean and said, "Oh no, this can't be happening."

"Why, is something the matter "Sparky", can't handle a little bit of armor?" Asuka said with Mana said to her, "No it's not that, it what they are made from, the armor has technological pattern to its armor with a skeleton structure as well, that Sentient tech, the very reason the Tenno were form in the first place."

Shinji is shock by this as well, as he heard the brief history of how the Tenno were formed, when the Orokin, the new human race, created the Sentient to terraform the Tau System for the Orokin, only to rebel, right and try to destroy the Orokin, when the all hope seems lost for them until they taken the children of the Zariman Ten Zero void jump incident and weaponized their powers and created Warframes to can withstand their power and then some and became Tenno.

With the Orokin that were on the very edge of destruction were force to make the Tenno to fight for them as it succeed but still fell in the end, with the Tenno the only ones remains to tell the tales of what the Sentient were capable of and would do anything to destroy the Tenno, the last existents of the Orokin.

If they somehow remade the angels and weaponized them, no telling what it could do as Shinji said, "We can't beat it as we are… we can't fight it."

"Of course we can, we just need to destroy its core and its dies right? Its right there in the open waiting to be crushed," Asuka said as Rei said to her, "Its core maybe its weak point but to the report it was strong enough to withstand unit 01 berserker attacks until it self-destructed, not the mention tis energy base attack that could level an entire city, no doubt it has the same abilities, maybe more if it was modified."

"We have no choice but to try and destroy it, but we need to get to the orbiters first and get well armed before facing that thing. The weapons you hold Rei are not going to cut it," Mana said as she knew it was up to them to destroy this angel one way or another as soon enough the Warframe went off with Mana dragging Shinji a bit still in a bit of shock, no doubt whatever happen before with that angel left a scar in his mind.

(Later at Rei's Cave)

The Tenno eventually arrived at the cave and from there Rei went in and picked up her body to carry it out. Once Trinity was seen carrying out her Tenno's Body the Landing Crafts arrived. Rei's body was quickly teleported into her Orbiter before Trinity entered via the magnetic port.

(Inside the Orbiters)

The Tenno were grabbing whatever they would need for this as this was going to be a long fight they just knew it. Rei's body was moved to the Transference Chamber and had met her assigned Cephalon. Melchior was very neutral when it came to Rei which was odd when the other two either ignored her (Balthazar) or had outright despised her (Casper) so it made sense Rei would have the one who would be on her side somewhat.

Melchior had adopted the, observe and wait, method in terms of social interactions and life in general. She'd rather have all the variables before making a decision and since she was no longer bound to the other two she valued this skill more than others. "Hello Tenno Ayanami I have compiled data from the first confrontation with the Third Angel designation Sachiel." Melchior said as the Trinity Warframe walked to the Arsenal to get suited up while Melchior began modifications to it. "I have acquired access to the Blueprints pertaining to the Komorex Sniper Rifle a Corpus Tau hybrid weapon that might prove beneficial in the assignment to eliminate this Angel Sentient Hybrid." Melchior began as she looked to Rei. "The Komorex is perfect for a Support Warframe such as Trinity to keep her distance as much as possible." Melchior said as she attached the newly completed rifle to the back of Trinity.

"For a side arm weapon I had calculated that a full auto weapon will suffice and opted to equip the Twin Grakatas a Grineer rifle that due to its light weight prove to be valuable as side arms." Melchior explained as she had the weapons in question equipped to Trinity knowing that such a weapon would be needed for a sniper in the event he has no nest to snipe from. "Finally to help with your need for upfront confrontations I had constructed the Anku a superior weapon to your Bo that you had been using thus far. It will be useful in the field for the event you have to get up close and personal with a foe." Melchior said as the weapon was attached and like the rest of the set had the mods attached as well from the amount Rei had gathered during her 'stay,' on Pluto.

"Thank you." Rei responded as she then noted her Warframe was different in coloring.

"Pardon for doing this without your consent I had modified your Warframe with attachments and a new paintjob as to better identify you among the other Tenno when you use it as well as provide you with a sense of nostalgia with its coloring." Melchior explained and thus Rei saw her Warframe looked almost exactly like her EVA did after the battle with the Fifth Angel.

"Has a strategy been discussed yet?" Rei asked changing the subject to the immediate crisis.

"It is in the works compiling data provided by Shinji Ikari of his confrontation with it." Melchior said keeping Rei posted on this to which she nodded.

(Shinji)

Shinji was equipped with a Cyanex Side Arm and a Baza Main Arm as his Nikana was at his side still. He was kneeling before the Navigation port via his Warframe. "So here is the plan." Mana was heard as Shinji paid attention. "I've contacted the Corpus on this installation offering them our aid in besting this foe." Mana began to which Asuka heard this.

"WHAT?!" Asuka yelled clearly not liking this plan.

"In exchange for our aid they will owe us one favor that we can cash in on at a later date." Mana said knowing the Corpus despite their cultish worship of profit were still business men and right now the Angel were proving to be bad for business. "We will head up the attack and they will provide us with aid from artillery to ground units." Mana said as she explained the temporary truce with the Corpus until the Angel was dealt with.

"So what's the plan?" Asuka asked after she calmed down some.

"This is a multi-phase plan despite it looking like this 'Sachiel,' of your world we still can't be 100% sure it is the same thing." Mana explained as she looked to the other Tenno. "So the first phase of the attack is to draw out its hand see what it can do and hopefully force it to draw out any trump cards it may have hidden." Mana said and thus sighed to this. "That is where will use the Corpus to aid us in that regard." Mana said as she looked to the Tenno.

"A logical move but how will you handle the AT-Field?" Rei asked knowing that was going to be a problem. The only physical weapon that can actually pierce the AT field is the Lance of Longinus and from what she had gathered it was missing. In fact it may have been missing for some time now.

"Our Warframes of course." Mana said to which she continued on. "They may not be EVA's but if they truly are successors to the Evangelion then perhaps they may have inherited more from the Evangelions." Mana said and thus got a skeptical look from the others. "Look I know it's a long shot but we don't have much of a choice in this." Mana explained to which the group knew she had a point.

"Actually I was looking into this a bit... I think I have a bypass to the AT-Field." Casper said and thus showed the Warframe Schematics particularly the Warframe's Shields. "If we can modify the Shields of your Warframes just right we might be able to use it to bypass the Tau Angel Shields." Casper said and thus Balthazar heard this.

"Tau Angel?" She asked but Mana understood.

"Oh I get it, Angels modified with Tau Tech." Mana explained and thus Casper continued.

"Though the draw back will be that you will be vulnerable to attack until your Shields can be reset and recharge." Casper said and thus it might be risky but it was the best they got.

"I can provide support fire to keep the Angel from attacking you while your Shields recharge." Rei explained as she looked to the group via their chat link.

"Ok so I guess it's me, Third, and Sparky against bird face." Asuka said to which Shinji nodded.

"Yeah." Shinji said knowing this was going to be a tough one for them. Shinji especially since that same battle was when his nightmares with NERV began. He didn't remember much but he did know he hated being with NERV. He didn't remember what it was but there was an incident he was a part of that was erased from his memories. All he can really tell was that there were five battles missing from his memories and a great number of events between it missing as well. Of course he could not focus on those right now and could only focusing on putting this Angel back in its grave.

"So once the initial battle ends, Shinji, Asuka, and I will go with the ground assault to break its AT-Field, Rei will cover us to give us time to recover our Shield and then we move in to attack." Mana explained to which everyone understood. "Now then time to give the Corpus the ok to attack." Mana said and thus they all got ready for the storm.

(Battle)

Sachiel was trudging through the ice covered landscape and saw that his target was not on the planet. No wait who was its target Sachiel was unsure all he knew was that he had to reunite with Adam and eliminate the Tenno. But from its limited memories the Angel did not know who or what these Tenno were only that they were its enemy. As Sachiel continued to move he knew he had to figure out a way to get off this planet and to where Adam was located as he can sense the pull from Adam he just didn't know where the Pull would take him.

His thoughts suddenly stop as he sense an attack coming his way, as he turn to see missiles coming his way and impacted, blowing up in his face.

From the distant, aircrafts from Corpus were flying towards it as they were firing missiles and rockets at it, with some aircrafts lower down and drop off some ground forces with heavy weaponry as some had RPGs, missile launchers, and what seem like grenade launchers as well as they took aim and fire upon the angel.

As it seem the weapons seem to be putting dents into the angels armor but it wasn't making much of a scratch on its body, but they still keep at it, with the angel suddenly shot out an energy rod of sort which strike a few aircrafts making them get destroy of fall down.

The angel soon leap up and came down upon the aircraft destroying it with its feet and it seem to cause the corpus to keep up their attack with more soon join them with a barrage of explosions happening around it, exploding upon contact with the angel.

Suddenly the red orb in the center of the angel suddenly glows, and then fires a burst of energy out, taking out a 4th of aircrafts around and a bit of corpus ground forces as well.

(Elsewhere)

From the distant as the four Warframe were observing the battle with Rei said, "It's had use some of this attack that were reported in the first battle, of the angel wars."

"Corpus really know how to let it have it," Mana said as Asuka said, "So when are we going to go in and kick its ass? I feel like a long time sense I fought any angel."

"Not yet, we need to confirm if it has anything new to it yet, you guys know these things better than I do," Mana said as Shinji soon asked, "But if it doesn't have anything new… or show it?"

"Then when the corpus forces drops down too much, we'll set in, as for now just stand by and watch it," Mana said as she did say they will help corpus, just not when, and this was just a bit of pay back for all the things they have done and what they did against her and her Tenno siblings.

(The battle)

The angel was using sits energy rods to strike at the aircrafts as much as it could, but they keep coming, as Sachiel was getting tired of this, is anger just build up inside of it ready to be let out and destroy everything these 'Lilin' was getting in its way of his goals find Adam and destroy the Tenno.

Just then, Sachiel it just retracted the rods back into its body just before giving an angry moaning sound as it hunch over and holding its arms close to its body as rockets and missiles still strike upon him.

AS suddenly the angel body started to change in some way as bulges had appeared underneath tis skin in a disturbing way to say before it give a roar before the bulges burst and from them its back shot out similar rods that was within its arms, hitting most of the corpus aircrafts around as they all soon blew up. Before they retracted back, with new spots shown on its body with energy rods sticking out from tis back like a hedgehog before it stood up.

(The Warframes)

As the four saw what just happen as Rei said, "The report never described something like this happening before, this is what must have been new modification added to it."

"What kind of sick freak are these Sentient anyways?" Asuka asked as she never seen an angel do that, not once and she never seen what happen in the first two battles anyways as Mana said, "They are many things and would do anything to destroy us."

Mana went back to observe the angel as she the "Tau Angel" seem to have lost some energy after that attack as it seem to slow down, while taking notice the newly spikes on its back were not going back into its body, which give her an idea as she said, "I think I may have found its weakness, those spikes on tis back maybe a secondary weak point, if we hit some of those we may slow it down enough to deliver a killing blow to its core."

"Does that mean?" Asuka said sounding a bit excited as she was dying to know what her Warframe can do in a battle against an angel as Mana said, "We're moving out and engaging the angel, remember the plan and take it down as fast as we can!"

Soon enough the four were off with Rei getting ready to snipe at it from a good distant with Asuka, Shinji, and Mana ran out to fight the angel and hope they can succeed.

(Battle)

The Landing Crafts flew into battle as The Tenno departed from them armed and ready for combat. Once they landed they took a battle stance ready for battle. They saw the Tau Angel towering over them as it approached no doubt looking for a method off this world and if not a method to evolve and leave. Rei knowing what to do turned around and went to set up a sniping position.

They had to make their stand here and knowing this Rei was to provide cover and suppression fire. The Corpus was of course falling back now that the Tenno were here to deal with this current mess. Rei bullet jumped upward and landed on a bit of land where she got the perfect view of the entire sow covered battlefield.

She then looked into her scope and got ready to snipe the Angels weak points. "Ok get your Shields to overload and get ready to get through the Angels shield!" Mana ordered and thus Shinji charged in with his Baza Blazing as Mana used her guns as did Asuka to get the Angels attention. The Bullets hit the AT-Field which shot up showing the Angels still had the ability to use it. Once they got close their Warframes were starting to glow from the Shields overloading for what came next. Once they got close they could only hope this would work because if not then they had to turn tail and run.

As the Frames hit the AT-Field the Shields started to get to its peak and thus they blasted out in a powerful burst. This caused the AT-Field to counter but alas an overloaded Shield seemed to give off a similar effect to an AT-Field on an AT-Field. Both cancelled each other out and thus exposing the Angel. The Angel seeing this looked to the group just before its eyes glowed. Acting fast the Tenno got out of the way as the former EVA pilots informed Mana that if the Angel had a mask and its eyes closed then they need to run. The explosion went off as a giant cross as the Tenno ran about keeping on step ahead of the Angel as best they could.

"How long does it take for a Shield to reset and recharge?" Asuka asked as she tried to keep ahead of their foe.

"Not long just don't get hit!" Mana called out as Shinji fired his weapon off I short bursts to keep their enemy on their toes.

The Angel looked ready to attack again only for one of the engine looking pieces of Sentient Tech to get his by a sniper. The group looked and saw Rei was firing at the Angel to keep it away from her comrades. "Get to cover!" Rei ordered and thus the trio understood.

"Nice shot." Mana said impressed with how Rei had fired off the weapon.

"Don't tell me what to do!" Asuka yelled but Mana then stepped up.

"Well she was the 'First EVA pilot,' and also it's not like she's wrong so doesn't that mean she is in charge?" Mana asked as Asuka was about to retort but knew Mana had a point. She then growled and got to cover while Mana smirked.

"I'm only doing this because we need those Shields back." Asuka said as Mana knew the Tsunadere just got verbally beaten. They continued to move to cover and thus saw from the icon on their hubs that their Shield gauge was getting back up. Seeing that they had their shields back meant it was time for them to go into battle.

"Come on!" Shinji called out as he left cover and thus the trio began firing down upon the Tau Angel intent on bringing it down. But it seems the Angel was smart as it then hunched over again to send out a beam of light to the sky. Seeing this Rei began to shoot the spikes on its back while the ground troops moved to cover. From the sky the beam came down like laser rain to take the trio down. Asuka used her Warframes hook to move herself over to cover while Shinji and Mana bolt humped over to cover.

Once they did this the Tau Angel then reeled back in pain with the sound of something breaking being heard. They looked over to Rei and saw that she had taken out two of those spikes causing the Angel pain. "Guys brace for the energy burst!" Mana called out as they in turn heard this.

"Energy burst?!" Asuka asked as Shinji heard this.

"Long story short when a Sentient especially an Eidolon loses a bit of itself like that it released an energy burst that messes with our Shields and our Warframe's major Systems!" Mana called out and in turn headed to cover.

"You could have mentioned that before!" Asuka yelled as she was already on the move. In turn while acting fast Shinji ran over to cover while Asuka hooked to a farther spot to protect herself from the burst. The Burst came and covered the area messing with any technological objects that it waved over. Luckily since their Warframes were unique their vision and hubs were tampered with as they lost their shields again.

After seeing this Rei acted and began to open fire with her sniper to give her comrades room to recharge their Shield. She kept the Angels focus away and in turn she saw it took note of her. Reacting fast Rei had Trinity get down in time to avoid a shot from the Angel removing the Sniper who was attacking it.

"Rei!" Shinji called out as the angel had targeted her and quickly fire upon it, drawing its attention away from her with Mana joining in shooting it around its face and eyes, it worked as the angel focus on them as they started to run away before the angel could hit them with an energy rod that shot out from its arms.

Asuka gotten up and saw what was happening as the angel was attacking Shinji and sparky, she took this chance to attack its backside.

The shield soon return back to them as soon enough Shinji and mana goes back onto the attack, as they dodge the angel's strike once again, mana had a thought as she look towards Shinji and said, "Hey let's take away its weapon in its arms, if we do that, we can limit this tau angels attacks if we do!"

"I'll draw its fire then!" Shinji said as he began to shot at it drawing the angel attention to him for a bit while it aim one of its arms at him before shooting that rod in its arm at him, at this moment, Mana acted fast as she brought out her melee weapon and jump up onto the angel's arms and started to slash at it.

The angel cry out in pain as it felt this, with Asuka suddenly leap up onto the angel back at this moment and took out her weapons and stab into one of the spikes, destroying it before moving up.

The angel draw back its energy god with Mana leaping off as the angel raise its arms quickly, as she said, "Almost had it. If it only keep it out just a bit longer."

The angel turn to her as it was about to attack her, suddenly sniper fire were being fired off again as Rei reestablish a sniper nest and took aim and fire upon once more.

The angel try aiming for Rei again, but Shinji quickly took action as he rushes to the angel's legs, as it may not be a weak point but still an important one of standing straight, as he use his dash attack striking the angels legging to making it lose balance to fall over as it shot out its weapon once more with Asuka jumping off its back before it hit the ground.

"HEY YOU BAKA! WATCH WHAT YOU'RE DOING! I WAS ABOUT TO TAKE ANOTHER SPIKE OUT!" Asuka yells out at Shinji as he was the one that made the angel, fall down with Mana said, "Well I said it's an opportunity."

She rushes the angel again as tis still had its weapon out once more and attacks hand that it connects with some already existing cracks, Mana strike fast and hard with her attack before shattering the angel's own weapon.

It cries out again as it was about to energy burst once more as Mana said, "Take cover!"

With that Shinji, Asuka and Mana ran for it as the angel lifts up and sent out another blast of energy that effected on the Warframes shields again with Rei firing upon the angel to give others time to recharge their shield once more as mana said, "Hurry and get behind before it stand up again!"

Asuka and mana rush it as the angel lift itself up with an unforeseen power, the two soon gotten on tis back again an as Shinji just ran the other way as he could not follow the girls thankfully rei was covering him as the angel went after him while he aim for its core.

Asuka and mana pulled out their main weapons and take aim as Mana said, "Let's each hit the one at the same time and hopefully we can get two at the same time."

"Then see if you can out shoot me," Asuka said as she taken aim already and fire at a spike with Mana following as she fire at her own, with the shots connecting, causing the angel more pain, giving Shinji enough time to have his shield full charge again before, leap up, and attack the angels core, giving it all he got as he cut at it, barely putting a crack in it.

He tries again and again before the angel swing its arm and knocks him away as he cry out a bit, gaining the others attention to this as mana saw him and cry out, "Shinji!"

The angel was about to attack him again with its other energy rod weapon, but Mana used her pull ability of her Warframe to pull away the angel's arm before it could strike Shinji, the angel misses and hit the ground near Shinji as she quickly rushes it as Asuka called out, "Hey where are you going?!"

Mana pull out her tonfa weapons again and strike at the angel's weapon quickly trying to break it before the angels recovers.

With the angel about to recall back its weapon, suddenly gunfire and a sniper shot all came forth from Rei and Asuka as they fire at the weapon at the same time assisting Mana and successfully break its other weapon as it cried out.

Shinji recovers as he saw the angel was in pain again, sending out another burst of energy that took out the girl's shields as Mana said, "Crap, too fast."

The angel looks at her as now it was really mad as it soon came at her as she said, "Oh come on!"

She ran for it as the angel try to crush her with its hands but misses her as she jump out of the way in time, with Asuka keep up her assault on the back spikes.

The Angel began to stand back up roaring as Shinji quickly began to realize they wouldn't last long without the EVA's aiding them. Knowing something had to give he looked around and saw a bit of the Angel laying there from its destroyed weapon. In turn he had a brief flashback to his first battle how the EVA used a part of the Angel to destroy its S2 Core. Knowing what to do Shinji grabbed the spike and took it.

Asuka and Mana continued to open fire upon the Angel until Shinji charged past them. "What the?! Shinji what are you doing?!" Asuka yelled when she saw Shinji carrying the Angel's spike over his shoulder.

"I have an idea!" Shinji called out as he got to work. Once he got close enough Shinji threw the spike at the Angels core like a Javelin where it managed to hit its mark but not fully pierce it. Once that was done Rei saw what Shinji was doing and began to open fire on the spike. She aimed for the back part and used the bullets to push the spike deeper into the Angel causing the crack on the core to grow bigger from it. Asuka getting the memo charged in with her Valkyr and swung over the spike. She then dropped down with a drop kick to the core and thus allowed it to reach deeper for it. Her kick then managed to skewer the kore causing the Tau Angel to fall down on its back in pure agony from the result.

Once the Angel was down Shinji jumped in with his Exalted Blade active and in turn used it to slice through the Tau Angel's core. The Core split in two and went dull before exploding in a flurry of blood. The Tau Angel reached up as if trying to reach out to someone but alas it fell limp dead now. Shinji half expected the Angel to explode but from the looks of it they managed to stop it before it could come to that. With a sigh of relief they left the creature be as the Corpus in turn began to move in on the Angel.

"Why you?!" Asuka yelled but Mana stopped her.

"This was part of the deal they get the Angel and they won't come after us for the lost or use of their equipment." Mana said causing Asuka to ease back some.

"What?! But we did all the work how come they get all the benefit?!" Asuka yelled but Mana then glared at Asuka for this.

"Very well." Rei said accepting this as she in turn walked away. Shinji looked to this and was skeptical about leaving it with the Corpus but they had little choice in this.

"Trust me the chances of them reverse engineering this bitch is a million to one." Mana said while she passed by Shinji as Asuka then sighed and followed after her. As Shinji looked to it he really hoped Mana had not just tempted fate with that little quip.

(Scene Break Tau)

The Sentient were looking over the data the Angel sent back though unknowingly after their modifications to it. Now that they knew the Tenno could fight it but had some difficulty doing so they can prepare for the next wave of attacks. As they looked at the data they then turned around and saw work being done on two more Angels Shamshel and Ramiel. So far Ramiel's modifications were taking longer than expected considering they wanted a literal fortress out of it.

Shamshel should be ready to launch soon the only thing they needed was a target to deploy him to and saw far they were deciding between Earth and Venus. Pluto was an excellent location to hit at the time but with the work they were doing they needed to be sure they can win and if not gain valuable data to use against the Tenno. As they worked they then turned their attention to the creature they found Evangelion Unit 1. They had restrained it and were now studying the weapon it came with this two pronged spear known as the 'Lance of Longinus,' and from their research they saw it was a powerful weapon. Right now its Core was exposed allowing them to look and study it but avoid contacting it less they set this creature off again.

As they worked they were currently unaware that the EVA was also watching their every move as well. Deep inside a soul had stirred and from it she saw what the EVA saw. She also saw Excalibur on the screens and its color scheme that it didn't take her long to realize exactly who was in command of that Warframe. If her theory was sound than they were fighting back so her best hope was to try to subtly get these Tau Angels to act out so to provide the Tenno an edge in combat while encrypting a message onto them so the Tenno may find it and receive her SOS. But even this soul knew time was of the essence and had to wait for the right time to act but she feared by the time it came it would be far too late. Her only hope was the boy whom the world had broken before to be this new universes salvation of hope.
