Jack's POV
Suddenly, I got an idea. Pretend to be sick and then make my escape. But how was I going to pull that off? I couldn't fake a cough, since I was gagged. Or... could I? I attempted to fake cough as best as I could with my mouth closed, hoping it would get Cal and Lovejoy's attention.
"Lovejoy, can you check on Mister Dawson?"
Lovejoy opened the closet door, got behind the chair, and untied me.
Then, he and Lovejoy escorted me to the couch and had me lay me down. Lovejoy removed the gag. Cal handed Lovejoy a thermometer.
"Open your mouth, son," said Lovejoy.
I kept my mouth shut. I was not going to let them take my temperature and find out I was feigning illness.
"He won't let us take his temperature. What to do?" said Cal. "I know."
He whispered something in Lovejoy's ear. Lovejoy put the gag back on my mouth, then left the suite and came back with a rectal thermometer meant for dogs.
He flipped me onto my stomach, then pulled my pants down just enough to reveal my bum, and inserted it into my rectum.
God, this is humiliating.
"It's just a cough," said Lovejoy removing the thermometer.
"Get the cough syrup," said Cal.
I felt like vomiting upon hearing this. I remembered when my mother used to give me cough syrup and how I hated the taste.
Lovejoy came back with a spoon and a bottle of cough syrup. He removed the gag from my mouth once again, then poured cough syrup into the spoon.
"Open wide, son," said Lovejoy.
My lips remained sealed.
He grabbed my hair and yanked it, causing me to let out a scream of pain, and poured the cough syrup into my mouth.
He put the gag back on, took me back to the closet, tied me to the chair again, and closed the door.
Damn it.
Rose's POV
"I'll have another wine, thank you," I told the waiter.
"Rose, what's gotten into you? You've already had two drinks!" said Mother.
I sighed. If only I had an understanding mother I could open up to.
Last night I had gotten drunk on beer for fun. Today I was getting drunk on wine to drown my sorrows. Amazing how someone can make you feel more alive than you've ever felt before, and then break your heart.
