Chapter 2

Summer was piloting the transport ship while Shirou and Miyu observed the vehicle's technology, which was quite advanced...although they then went to what looked like a lower hatch and found some crates.

The moment they opened them, they noticed multi-colored jewelry that at first glance conveyed that they had something special.

Without further ado, they returned to the top of the ship where they could see their pilot...with a look of mourning.

...

Summer was grieving as she piloted the ship, now she could go home...to her family...to her little ones...

But...if he did, Ruby and Yang would have to fight the monster that is Salem; not knowing what luck they might have on their side when that time came.

Or if Salem could create a grimm that could kill her or Ruby the red-

haired redhead can't help imagining that scene...

His little daughter, full of blood...with a mangled scythe eye missing from

a cut before a proud laughing Salem. At that, someone taps his shoulder.

It was Shirou who looked serious, while Miyu went to "check" the jewelry; she knew they would have a question and she had to answer.

What are you so distressed about? - she asked in a calm and somewhat kinder tone than the first time they met.

Miyu's confidence that she had gained with the hunter caused Shirou to treat her much better...but with the unknown of the world.

He preferred to remain prepared first and foremost.

I know that if I tell you no, you will continue to insist...I am afraid, I don't know what to do with what I carry...to be "destined" to kill an ancient being that is immortal...; I want to go back to my little ones but I know that if I go back and stay with them...Salem could become stronger, prepare something to counteract me and Ruby...- the statement took a quick analysis for Shirou to know what Summer had gone through.

She had been manipulated to do someone else's dirty work, with EMIYA's memories in her mind along with Kiritsugu's training; he had taught her how to identify manipulated people.

With a family waiting at home, anyone with the slightest intelligence or experience would know how to control it without seeming obvious.

No one is destined to anything Summer, everyone knows what to do when they see their destiny: Accept it, change it or oppose it...there are always ways to kill someone...there always are; the one who sent you on this suicide mission manipulated you to do the job for him. Having your family is easy actually," he answered with a sincerity and irony, while mentally upset because of the influence EMIYA had on him.

The silver-eyed warrior's thoughts appeared rather chaotic. Did Ozpin manipulate it?

He knew about the "gifts" he had given Raven and Qrow; Ozpin's actions when they stepped over "the line" and the special focus he had on her when he asked her about her silver eyes.

Eyes that were made to fight any form of evil, that were effective for any form of Grimm.

Doubt fell upon the silver-eyed warrior.

Did Ozpin really love her and was he really a nice person, her going against Salem as a favor or was she just a pawn on his board?

When the conversation ended, Miyu returned with the duo; with one of the jewels she had obtained from the stolen ship.

What is this, Miss Rose? - asked the daughter of god with a red crystal in her hands.

The huntress turned to her right, looking at a crystal of red dust.

This is "Dust", it is a mineral that mankind discovered to be able to face the Grimms. All the weapons in this world are made to withstand ammunition made of this material," he answered while taking the crystal, while Shirou began to use structural analysis on them.

He detected a small amount of magical energy within the jewel, so he quickly theorized that it was his world's version of magical jewels although that could be doubted.

Not much could be done, though, when an alarm began to sound and the sound of ringing came on.

With a screen inside the controls, I looked at some symbols and then switched to some external cameras to see that those sounds came from some Grimms Lancers.

Can you handle it? - asked the hunter.

Miyu, go get what dust you can, Summer try to keep your distance while I prepare everything," Shirou arranged his plan, while Summer only nodded.

...

Outside the ship, a picture could be seen that could be said "Unencouraging" as a poor ship was surrounded by several Lancer Grimms trying to engage the ship with their stingers but failing due to the maneuvers made by the ship.

Now after dodging one last stinging shower, the ship stabilized to reveal a figure visible on the roof of the ship.

There stood Shirou Emiya, holding an oversized dark-colored bow while possessing what looked like a makeshift Quiver with Swords?

On the tips of these weapons, multi-colored powder crystals were found at the tip.

Reinforcing his body to avoid flying away, he pulled one of the swords from his improvised quiver, tightened the bowstring with the weapon turning it almost into an arrow while he loaded it with Mana and...

He released her.

When the arrow hit the wasp-like creature, it was covered with ice and then exploded by an arrow with fire dust.

And so it was.

The creatures were falling rapidly thanks to the speed at which the projectiles were fired, together with the dust charge that battered them even more.

When an arrow of black powder hit one of the wasps colliding with another, they were hit by a sword with red powder making them burn quickly.

The fire dust was one of the biggest beneficiaries of Shirou's overloaded weapons, making a large explosion.

Summer! How much time before we leave the Grimms' area! - I shout, being heard by the hunter through the camera.

Hold on for five more minutes, we're almost out of here. -

Oni-Chan, use one of your swords to get rid of the Grimms fast! - Miyu's shout gave her the idea that Loli mentioned.

Although he had low mana reserves because his mana absorption was low due to his fatigue, he still had a chance to project a more powerful weapon.

And it just happened to be necessary when another swarm headed their way along with a large alpha.

Shooting all the swords in the form of an arrow but preventing the dust they had from activating, he let them stick.

Exhausting his arsenal, he began to generate a legendary sword that was used by a Norse hero and gave birth to the word "Berserker.

The weapon of the Hero Beowulf: [Hrunting].

Using his remaining mana, I project the weapon and then stretch it to make it as close to an arrow as possible, I load it with mana and...

-[Hrunting!]

The creatures, despite not being very smart, sensed the danger of the weapon so they tried to dodge it, but the arrow, taking an unexpected direction, continued towards the larger creature, impacting and exploding.

But being covered with dust crystals thanks to the previous arrows they made a bigger explosion that consequently activated the crystals on the arrows that were on the smaller Grimms.

Ending in a big explosion in sequence that would be a spectacle worth seeing.

...

Training through a hatch, he returned from the roof to the interior of the vehicle but with fatigue very noticeable on him.

Miyu helping him sit on the cold floor so he could get some rest.

How long has he been awake? - Summer asked, concerned about the boy with red and white hair.

It's been more than 3 days without sleep since we arrived and waited for your recovery, so I haven't been able to recover the necessary energy," I answered while feeling the weight on top of him.

When we reach the nearest town, we'll take a break; I'm impressed that you're still standing after so long," the hunter was surprised that a person could last so long awake without suffering serious consequences.

Qrow once tried it...guess who lasted less than 3 minutes awake after the first day?

It could also have been that Tai had slipped sleeping pills into his drink as a "prank"; something that led him to miss an entire day of school.

Snapping out of his thoughts for a moment, he came back to reality while maintaining flight; feeling how the aura of the place was alijeraba signaling that they had already left the Grimms' lands.

...

Having flown for more than 12 hours without rest, Summer decided to lower the ship in a nearby thick forest in order to hide the ship from possible tracking.

Resting on the same ship, they spent the night there.

But with two Emiya there, luck can never be on your side. They are just a few steps away from having Qrow's luck.

Because some people's screams were heard quite loudly, so the trio decided to wake up immediately (covering their faces with what they could to avoid a possible recognition for stealing the ship).

Exiting the ship, they quickly saw the large mountain of smoke rising along with the screams of several people.

They began to follow the noise, which grew louder along with the smell of ashes.

When they came out of the forest, they all saw the chaos going on.

It was a small town being besieged by thieves and bandits who began to take everything they could from every possible place.

But Summer realized who they were. It was the Branwen tribe.

(Raven...)Shirou, we must stop this quickly; if we manage to stop this we could find food and clothes but it must be now.

The red-haired man in white thought about it for a few moments but seeing Miyu's expression of helplessness and clenched fists, he only nodded to quickly take action.

Shirou started projecting Kanshou and Bakuya to attack one of the bandits who received a reinforced kick to the stomach that sent him away.

Look what we have here, a kid who wants to be a hero! - he replied arrogantly while drawing his weapon but it didn't do much good because, with his reinforcement, Shirou made a cross directly on the enemy's chest causing his aura to break and then knocked him out with a knee.

After knocking him out, he was further immersed inside the city, taking care of every bandit that got in his way while Summer and Miyu helped the civilians escape.

It was quite a lengthy process due to the number of them, but they did not have much skill compared to the Servants he saw during the short holy grail war.

It was like watching a baby barely crawling against an elite fighter.

...

Miyu and Summer were in charge of helping the civilians escape from the area liberated by Shirou.

There were everything from humans to fauns running away.

But things got a little tense for Miyu when she entered a house to find a family in fear.

Come quickly! It's dangerous to be in the crossfire! - shouted the girl as she looked all around, watching for a straggler to appear.

Why should you trust an animal like you? What if you want to take us out to let us die at their hands, you fucking faun," replied the one who looked like the father of the family holding a small pistol in his hands in a scathing and racist manner.

Miyu was surprised until she understood. His cat ears.

Those that appeared when they traveled to this world and together with the statement given by the father, the truth fell like a bucket of cold water.

Please, it doesn't matter who I am right now! Just get out of here to the forest, a hunter is already taking care of them! - To his luck (Rank C) Summer made an appearance.

Miyu, what's taking you so long! - At that he saw the father of the family with the gun in his hand and Miyu's expression of sadness.

Get out of there! I'm a hunter who found herself in all this chaos, she's helping me with the civilians! Please get out of there before a dust explosion can harm you! - With his statement, the man's body seemed to relax a little and he told his children to run for the exit.

A boy and a girl were caught by Summer, the infants were crying in the middle.

But as the parents were about to leave, a loud explosion of dust erupted from the back of the house.

Summer in a desperate attempt decided to protect both Miyu and the little ones from the explosion; losing all her aura in the process due to all the debris and the explosion itself...

When Miyu was able to come to her senses after the explosion, her eyes saw an image she never thought she would see.

The children's parents were crushed by the debris from the explosion lifeless.

The hunter noticed this, so in a quick action she used her semblance of

speed to lead the children out of there; towards the outskirts where all the refugees were.

...

Shirou was impressed by the number of bandits in the place, but he didn't care when he had already knocked some of them unconscious and others were directly killed by their blades or by the debris when they were taken out to fly without aura.

Shirou knew that if he wanted to stop the siege, he had to look for the one who was leading the whole attack...but his luck worked against him when only the bandits spat at him when he asked them about the leader.

Until finally, a different figure was present on the stage.

She was a rather attractive looking female figure; she wore a strange looking mask, a top reminiscent of her world's attire with some protections on her hands and gloves, along with a combat skirt, somewhat baggy black stockings and black heels.

Shirou quickly noticed the woman's presence, identifying her as the leader due to the aura she conveyed compared to the other bandits.

I'm impressed that you were able to take on a sizable portion of the tribe even though you're just a boy, that tells me something Who sent you?

Atlas? Beacon? - the mysterious woman decided to make some small talk to the mysterious boy.

-I'm not interested in small talk or your questions, I'll be direct just once...

withdraw along with yours *He raises his swords with a murderous silver- colored gaze* or I'll take you one by one.- after that, his muscles tensed, while Raven looked at him analytically through her helmet.

The boy's posture showed obvious openings. too obvious for

inexperience, the Branwen was fully interested in him.

To wipe out multiple members of his tribe, including several experienced ones for years in such a quick and accurate manner is above all peculiar.

If he could link him to the Branwens, he could be the best counter against Ozpin and Salem...but he also risked a possible spy.

But then again, bad luck is already the business of his stupid little brother.

The silence was tense as they analyzed each other along with the environment itself; open areas next to partially destroyed structures and some still complete but empty due to the retreat made by Miyu and Summer.

In a quick move the redhead grabbed [Omen] and launched herself straight at the red-haired target who blocked the obvious attack made by the bandit, clashing weapons making sparks between them; then came a counter-attack from Shirou who decided to make a quick takedown but the former STRQ team member managed to get back on her feet.

But in his recovery time, he did not see that two swords had been thrown away so that Shirou would then project others to follow the close combat.

Shirou's magical reinforcement and Raven's aura were putting up a fight that was barely visible to an untrained eye like those of a hunter, as they were back and forth.

In one move, Raven decided to drive a blade of ice dust over the base of a two-story house to knock it down and drop it on Shirou.

This one decided to retreat a few centimeters to then have to quickly block an attack of the bandit, he is using a rubble as a base to propel himself.

But what Raven didn't count on was that when she blocked the attack she received a strong kick that pushed her away; Shirou decided to throw the pair of married swords he had but they were easily deflected by Raven.

With a low smile, he once again projected a pair of [Kanshou and Bakuya] and launched himself at the former huntress.

With a projected sword she was thrown against one of the nearby structures causing a pillar to fall; knocking Raven loose and she decided to jump backwards.

Serious error.

When Shirou was able to get closer, he used the pillar to leap higher as Raven realized the trap.

For she quickly noticed how the two pairs of swords she had thrown began to encircle her in such a swift manner and then watched as the pair of swords in the red-haired man's hand extended in such a way that they enlarged in size and took on a wing-like appearance.

It's time to clip their crow's wings.

Flashback

Shirou...IthinkIknowwhodidthis.Oneofyourold team?-

Yes, it'sRaven;

Endofflashback.

A few accurate cuts were delivered by the [Triple Crane Wing]. Raven's aura was quickly seen to fade and cuts appeared on his skin.

Their natural pallor made them see the wounds to a greater extent, being in shock, falling to the ground and moaning from the pain.

Making a short sword appear as he disappeared the Noble Phantasm Rank C-, he approached the bandit by placing his foot on her chest and raising the sword... threatening to kill her, but still holding the sword air; he crouched down and said to her.

With a cold voice, as he withdrew his foot and the sword he was holding disappeared.

After moving a few meters away and projecting [Kanshou and Bakuya] again, he watched as Raven struggled to a halt and began to leave badly injured.

But something inside Raven's mind changed, as she retreated, holding her wounds.

It was now secured.

I would join this boy to the Branwens, no matter what. End of chapter 2
