Pots and pans flew around the kitchen as Himawari poured out all her anger into her cooking. Spices, sauces and swears were thrown everywhere while the rice cooker sat patiently on the counter. An exasperated expression was the only face this booba beast could exhibit. This was not your average pms, this was the lashing out of a tumblr feminist after a redditor destroyed all sense of humor within her.
"Stupid fucking son of a bitch Sakurako-" and other insults were both muttered and yelled as Himawari's sister Kaede could only watch in horror at what the internet had done to her beloved older sister. She retreated to her room to begin her monologue in a google slides video (maybe i will make a kaede in a nutshell vid for this).
Inside her room the loli began to present herself to a nonexistent camera representing a future -5 viewers.
"Hello my name is Kaede Furutani from Yuru Yuri. I am 6 years old and…"
A couple hours later, a knock on her door. The loli approached the doorknob cautiously for she could sense a dark aura from the other side.
"Hello onee-chan…" A large knife with red splatter caused her to shiver in fear at the figure in front of her. As she turned her head upwards she teared up at the sight of a dark-red stained apron and a grimace on Himawari's spiteful face. "Dinner's ready…" the older sister said creepily.
A deafening scream could be heard all around the neighborhood, but no one dared to inspect it.
Sakurako stared at the ceiling from her bed that night. She muttered famous meme lines apathetically, trying to find a single one that stuck out and was actually humorous.
"Ugh! It's no good! None of these are funny!" She screamed into her pillow. "'Never gonna give you up'... overused. 'Hey, you. You're finally awake.' It doesn't even make sense. 'When the imposter is sus! Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding...ding ding ding.' CRINGE!" She pounded her bedsheets angrily. "Not based not based not based not based not fucking BASED!"
You just aren't fucking funny…. The words lingered in her mind, like a fly that just wouldn't buzz off. She began tearing up. "I guess I'm really cringe after all." She cried until finally she fell asleep.
The next morning, Sakurako got ready for school. She started out her routine as normal, eating breakfast, teasing her sisters, browsing discord, and then heading to Himawari's house-
"Oh, right." Sakurako stopped halfway there once she realized the situation. Her mind once again became flooded with the horrible words that were said to her. "I'm just gonna go to school…" she muttered depressingly.
At the classroom, her friends Akari and Chinatsu were shocked. "Sakurako, where's Himawari?" they asked. Sakurako did not reply. She quietly walked over to her seat and put her head down on the desk. The other two girls were worried. The brat had never been not-annoying before. She was so silent it was more insufferable than her usual talking.
Suddenly, the door opened, with a threatening presence entering the room. It was Himawari, but something seemed very off with her as well. She didn't seem ladylike as usual, instead her demeanor gave off the impression that she had been possessed by something demonic.
"H-H-Himawari, good morning…" Akari and Chinatsu greeted her. But just like before, they didn't get any response back. Himawari trudged over to her seat next to Sakurako. When she walked by, the two exchanged glances, however one looked more gloomy and the other more violent.
Class went by without an issue...or at least it looked like it from the view of someone outside the classroom. For some reason, the lack of bullshit from either of the two retards caused both the students and teachers to work in fear of what might be a huge fight that could break out at any moment. This class period would later be known as the Longest Day, the most horrifying silence in history. Three people even passed out after the bell finally rang.
As everyone was scared shitless and walking out of the classroom, the only ones that remained were Akari, Chinatsu, Sakurako and Himawari. Sakurako still had her head on the desk, and Himawari was looking out the window dejected. Akari and Chinatsu picked up their bags and began walking away. "Himawari, Sakurako, we're going!" they called, but once again no answer. They left the two alone to sit in heavy silence.
Himawari stared down at the courtyard outside. Friends were meeting up and walking home together, something she and Sakurako did until they fought the other day. She turned around and looked over at Sakurako. A sudden anger welled up within her. Grrrr...I wanna kill her… she thought. She stood up and stomped to the desk next to her. "Sakurako." She called to the brat in a threatening voice, but she didn't budge. "SAKURAKO. LOOK AT ME RIGHT FUCKING NOW BITCH." Again, nothing. That does it, she thought. She took her shoulders and began shaking her violently. "ANSWER ME MOTHERFUCK-" She stopped shaking and saw that Sakurako was completely knocked out. "Goddammit, why the fuck are you asleep now?" She set her back down on the desk.
Himawari studied the face of the sleeping girl closely. Drool was running down her mouth, and she had a light snore. "Cute…" she muttered. She sat on the desk and ran her fingers through her hair. "So silky…" She brought up a bunch of strands to her nose and sniffed. "I love Sakurako's scent…"
A glint of light caught her eye. She looked back at Sakurako's face and saw a tear forming in her eye. A sense of guilt began building up within Himawari as she remembered the hurtful words she yelled on that day during show-and-tell. "I'm sorry, Sakurako...I deeply regret what I said." She pet the sleeping girl's head apologetically.
Suddenly, Sakurako began to stir. "Ughhh…" She opened her eyes but didn't try sitting up. "Hm? Who's this?" She reached towards her head and touched Himawari's hand. Startled, she quickly looked up to find the person she wanted to avoid the most sitting on her desk. "H-H-H-Himawari?!"
"Sakurako…" The two girls stared at each other tensely, both blushing at the sight of the other's face. Himawari noticed her hand was still on the other girl's head. "Ah, sorry!" She began taking it off, but Sakurako put her hand on top to stop her.
"I-It's okay...I like it." Himawari turned red and decided to comply.
The painful memories of the day before couldn't be suppressed, however. She needed to remove that guilt. "Sakurako...I'm sorry," she apologized.
"I'm sorry too," she replied. She couldn't even look the person patting her in the eye. "I know I'm not funny. I just-"
"Stop it, Sakurako. Don't talk like that. I shouldn't be the one to judge your humor. Even if I think Reddit is dogshit I don't want to take away your happiness by ruining the things you love. You are funny in your own right."
"Thanks, Himawari…that means alot." She smiled for the first time that day. "Crap, it's already sunset," she said, noticing the orange sky outside. "Why didn't you leave early like everyone else?"
"Because, Sakurako…" Himawari bent down and kissed her forehead. "I would never leave you." The brat turned as red as a tomato, touching the spot on her forehead gently. Himawari chuckled. "Let's go home, Sakurako."
I'm glad we could make amends.
