Chapter Three ~:

It had been a month since I arrived to this earth. In this time, I have spent my working days with Sharon using each other in many different ways. We also learned many things about each other (of course mine was a lie.)

I had told her I grew up in a family of herbalist and apothecaries and that was why I had been taught how to be both an herbalist /apothecary from my family teaching. I had also learned about the world of Wesen and such I even learned how to make things for the consumption for Wesen.

With her help I learn the landscape of the city. She took me through 'China town' where I could pick up ingredients and such. The Wesen herb shops were remarkable places where I could buy, through trades or money, daily necessities and items I'd only ever dreamed of.

Some of the recipes they had were similar to ones (she believed) I'd lost. After I refused to marry a distant relative I was denied access to anything and was literally ousted from my immediate family (and, even now, was being shunned by them.)

Before she could ask, I read one of recipes aloud. "It because there was no love and she was a child …. An unless someone can give some benefit to our family profession it far easier to marry inside of the family." I could tell she understood after the short time I had been with her and such I found many of the Wesen felt similar and it only been the younger generation that has bucked the norm.

I found her leaning on my arm as we strolled. With my pill and potion making I was making enough money she no longer had to roll people. We were spending our nights together and in the daytime, she'd help me sell medicines and Wessen type drugs.

I shocked Sharon one night as I was making a batch of potions when I said to her, "So how does your friend get human parts and blood for these?"

She posed looking like she didn't know what to do. "What? That's crazy. I have no idea what you're…"

"If you're worried because they're killing people, I've known from the beginning. Since you came to me with the recipes with ingredients without having me picking any of it out, I assumed you feared I'd respond badly or they'd try butcher me. Truth is, my mother has a garden back in the mountains where the estate is. She cultivates a thing called Cadaverous blooms in a field of dead bodies. Some of the corpses go back five generations. I assume ninety percent of that field were victims within the rest family who break major rules."

As she heard this, I could see her calm down and her face return to normal. "I'd have to say there's finally something for me to thank those people for raising you in that way."

I nodded as I concentrated on potion and add more ingredients. "Well, I hope my name isn't known by these people. Not that I'm afraid of them, it's more like I'm afraid of police look in today's paper on the counter the third page's back side."

She went to take a look as she read it, I saw she was growing paler as she read the headline out loud, "The Geirs are on the run?"

I nodded. "I assume that their suppliers are after them for these things I've been making."

Sharron nodded and I raised an eye brow as I began bottle the potion. "Well, after this batch there's no more. I guess I'll empty this kitchen while you're out delivering it to the proper people. As I assume the Wesen who want it would end us quickly if you were late."

She nodded more than started to pack the bottles with me. When we were finished, I gave her a kiss on the head and handed her a violet vial.

"What's this?"

"If they try something offer them this but only if they try something. If you show it to them to get a price, they'll torture you to get to me."

"But what is it?"

"It's a universal Wesen strength booster. Basically, in videogame terms, a Power potion."

As I said this her eye bulged and she look at me and said with a nervous smile, "uh huh!"

I smiled in return. "Worst comes to worst, if it comes down it: take them down or escape."

As I said that I saw her blush. "I can't believe you want me to use this it's got to be worth…."

"A fortune?" I nodded. "True, but it's also a double edge; it's worth its weight in gold but if you don't have the power to keep it, the item makes you guilty and you'll lose your life." She understood and she would definitely not show it unless she had to. And if she had to drink it she'd make sure to scratch those fouls throat out.

[Thirty minutes later ~ Devil's den pool hall]

As I walked in, I saw bodies strewed across the room bloody foam coming from their mouths but also blood was pouring out of all of the other orifices. "I told her not to use it unless she had to as I walked in further, I soon found Sharon, and several other Wesen laying on the floor, with looks of extreme pain. The vial with the fluid I gave to her was empty and the scent of iron and lilac was in the air. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "Sorry dear but it's far easier to keep secret when only a single person knows."

I walked over and put down the potions I'd made. I emptied out the safe, the hidden floor safe and the brief case with the payment for the potions. I got what I came for and I also took my time and took all the wallets and valuables from all the corpses and tossed them into the items box. After the last wallet I left and went looking for a new place to live as I had set Sharron's apartment on fire when I left. I was still a follower of her, despite the fact she even thought about killing me, even after I forgave her the night we meet.
