Transformers Prime: Bumblebee's Brother

Chapter 3: Darkness Rising Part 1 (Part 2)

Blue Jacket was driving through the road, telling Bumblebee, Arcee, and Cliffjumper about his design through their com-links. The red mech already told 'Cee and Blue his story, now it was his turn.

"I was driving through the forest, thinking about the good days back on Cybertron... Until I accidentally hit someone's car." Blue said, explaining his first part of the story.

"You hit someone's car?!" Bumblebee beeped out loudly, clearly upset that his brother bump into someone's car.

"Bee, calm down. He said it was an accident." Cliffjumper said, advising the yellow scout to stay clam and quiet so he can hear the rest of the story.

"So, three teenagers came out of their car, thinking what they should do to the 'driver'. The girl named 'Melissa' decided to forget it and head to school, but this boy called 'Vince' told a guy named 'Leo Fowler' to spray paint my left door. Once they left, I checked it out and liked my new design!" Blue exclaimed, finishing his story.

"Woah, Blue, didn't knew you get tagged." Cliff said, who was actually impressed.

"Leo Fowler? Isn't he Agent Fowler's son?" Arcee asked, who was now thinking about it.

"Maybe. They did said Agent Fowler's real name." Blue said, who then talked to Cliff through his com-link. "I still can't believe you almost got into trouble with the police, Cliff."

"You know me, guys. You mess with Cliffjumper-"

"And you get the horns." Arcee said, finishing the sentence before Cliff could. He and Blue Jacket then begin to laugh.

"Guys, I'll be right back." Blue said, turning off his com-link. He started thinking about the decepticons again. While happy that they haven't return, he was also worried. They could do a surprise attack on one of his friends any minute. While he was thinking, he got a call from his leader, Optimus Prime.

"Yes, Optimus?" Blue asked, answering the call from his com-link.

"Blue Jacket, return to base with the others. Cliffjumper requires backup!"

"Cliff?!"

Blue was shocked, hearing that Cliffjumper was in trouble. With no time to lose, he did a u-turn and drove as fast as he could, even almost breaking the speed limit on the road he was on. However, instead of going to base, he went to the same road where Cliffjumper took. Optimus called him again, not wanting Blue to be in the same problem as Cliff.

"Blue, return to base, now!" Optimus ordered.

"Prime, let me do this! I have his coordinates and close to his location. I've lost two friends, I can't lose another!" Blue said, turning off his com-link again before Optimus could say more. Blue then drove faster, trying to get to his friend.

"Cliffjumper, I'm on my way!" Blue thought in his head.

Back with Cliffjumper, he took on the 'cons on his own in single-combat. Despite he defeated most of them, three of them got a luck hit on him, sending him falling in the air and crashing into the ground. Before they could finish him off, Blue Jacket jumped out of nowhere and attacked them. Cliff was surprised that Blue found him.

"Blue Jacket! Glad you came!" Cliffjumper said, while looking up at the remaining Vehicons who were getting out of the Decepticon Warship. Both autobots then started shooting at their enemies, getting head-shots.

Cliffjumper then looked at Blue Jacket. As much as he was glad that Blue came to save him, he didn't want him to be killed and have Bumblebee and Arcee suffer. For 'Bee, losing a brother. For 'Cee, losing another teammate from the Delta Team. He knew what he had to do.

While the Vehicons starting shooting at the energon behind them, Cliff went next to Blue, ready to knock him out.

"Blue... See you on the other side."

Before Blue Jacket could say anything, Cliff hit the side oh his head and threw him into a safe distance before the energon exploded, damaging the red mech, and killing most of the Vehicons. The rocks then gently fell on top of the almost passed-out blue autobot, who watched the two remaining decepticon soldiers carrying a damaged Cliffjumper to their ship before finally passing out.

A few minutes later, the rocks were getting off of him. Waking up, he saw Bumblebee and Arcee, relieved that he was okay.

"Blue Jacket!" Bee beeped out, picking Blue up off the ground. He then hugged his brother, happy that he was alive. So was Arcee, who was walking towards them while holding a silver object. Optimus, Ratchet, and the green mech walked towards them as well.

"What were you thinking, Blue Jacket?!" The medic yelled at the blue scout. Before he could continue, Optimus walked past the medic and looked down at the blue scout.

"Going against my orders was foolish, Blue Jacket." Prime calmly said to the blue scout. Blue Jacket looked down a bit.

"Guys, I'm sorry for disobeying... But I wanted to save Cliffjumper." Blue said explaining himself, before counting them in order. Realizing that one of them was missing, he looked at the two-wheeler, who was holding something...

It was one of Cliffjumper's horns.

"A-Arcee...I-I'm sorry..." Blue said, started crying a bit. The two-wheeler then hugged him gently, knowing that he was trying to save her partner.

Jasper High School

After the third class, the students were in P.E. They were about to play dodge ball, so the coach assigned Vince and Leo as team captains for each team. Usually when they picked teammates, Vince ALWAYS leaves the people who he thinks are trash. Leo on the other hand, doesn't do that. He gives them a chance, which is why he's best friends with Raf.

"You okay, Raf?" Leo asked, checking on him.

"A little..." Raf said. "Thanks for picking me first, Leo."

"No problem, Raf. I mean, sure, I hang out with Vince and Melissa, but I know that Vince isn't that friendly. Besides, at least Melissa doesn't make fun of you."

"Yeah."

"Hey!" Vince called out to them. "Leo, afraid to lose?"

Leo only smirked at his opponent/friendly rival. "In your dreams, Vince! Ready, Raf?"

Raf nodded at him and the students started their dodge ball game.

Outside of Jasper, Top of the Autobot Base

All the autobots stood at the top of the mountain in a circle, some were filled with sadness. Others were filled with anger. However, they kept their feelings in check.

"We must not allow our anger over the loss of Cliffjumper to impair our judgement." Optimus said. "as of today, only we, 6 Autobots, remain on this Earth. We owe to ourselves, to the memory of Cybertron, to any Autobots in any galaxy seeking safe harbor, to humankind and we owe to the memory of our fallen comrade, to survive."

After the two-wheeler put Cliffjumper's horn on the ground, she started to walk away.

"Arcee..." Optimus was about to say.

"If Cliffjumper's gone, standing around sulking won't bring him back. So, unless anyone minds, think I'll get back at protecting humankind." Arcee said bitterly before transforming into her vehicle mode and driving away.

"Optimus, protecting humans will only cause more tragedy." The medic said, walking next to Prime.

"Your opinion is noted, old friend." Optimus said. The leader then saw Blue Jacket walking away before stopping him.

"Blue Jacket, you may have disobeyed my orders, but you do it for a reason." The red mech said. "I know you were trying to save Cliffjumper, even Arcee understood that. You must keep on fighting for your friends, both the living and the fallen.

The blue scout sadly nodded before walking away and transforming into his vehicle mode.

"I'll be right back, Optimus." Blue said, before driving away. The autobots, mostly Bumblebee, was worried for Arcee and Blue Jacket. They were partners, even best friends with Cliffjumper for a long time. They each lost their respected partners when they were in the Delta Team back on Cybertron. The team then went back to the base, waiting for the two-wheeler and the blue muscle car to come back.

KO Burger

After school, Leo was in the car with Vince and Melissa. They were driving to Jack Darby's job. Once they got there, Vince started making of him, until Jack gave him a taste of his own medicine. However, Vince took the food without paying, much to Jack's dismay.

"Hey, Vince, can you drop me off here?" Leo asked.

"Sure. See ya later kid." Vince said. Leo opened the door, waving bye at Vince and Melissa, who drove away.

He then went to the window and knocked it, which made Jack to open it up.

"Oh, hey Leo." Jack said, not actually in a good mood.

"Here you go, Jack." Leo said, giving him $9 bucks. "Sorry that punk took the food without paying."

Jack took the money, while trying to calm down. "Look, Leo, I'm not mad at you or anything. I just have a lot in my mind."

"I get that." He then saw the same blue car, that was getting a car wash at the Jasper Car Wash Station. "I'll see you later Jack."

Jasper Car Wash Station

Blue Jacket was in his vehicle mode, getting a car wash. He was hoping that the owner doesn't see him. Since no human was with him, he didn't want the owner of this place to see him and think that someone owes him money for getting a car wash.

"There. Got the paint that the kids put on my door." Blue sadly said. He was still sad over Cliffjumper's death. He also liked the paint that Leo put on him. Speaking of which, he saw the kid walking towards him. "Uh oh". Blue was a little scared seeing Leo right, however he was more worried when the owner was checking on hin in his vehicle mode.

"Hey, kid, is this your car?" The owner asked, pointing the blue muscle car.

"Yes sir. Here's $11 bucks." Leo said, lying to the owner. Leo could see that no one was in the blue car. However, he didn't want the owner to know that.

"Thanks, kid." The owner said, getting the cash from the 15-year old. He then left.

After the owner left, Leo checked out the blue muscular car and took a picture of it. He then walked towards the car.

"This car is pretty cool." Leo said, putting his hand on the left car.

Unknown to him, two purple cars were getting close to them. That's when Leo looked back and saw them coming towards him.

"Oh Shoot!" Leo exclaimed, seeing the purple cars and getting inside the blue car, who drove away fast. "Woah"!

"Don't do anything!" Blue said, advising him.

"Who said that?!" Leo asked in shock and fear. He didn't know what was happening. He especially didn't know who was talking to him since no one was in the car with him! However, he also didn't know that it was the car that was talking to him. He then turn the window down and saw that the purple cars, who was still following them. He became ticked off when the cars started shooting at them!

"They're shooting at us! Why are they shooting at us?!"

"They're trying to blast us apart! I'll find a hiding spot for you!"

Blue Jacket finally found a black alley for Leo to hide in. He drove through there, avoiding the Decepticon vehicons. Leo got out of the car, and Blue Jacket transformed into his robot mode.

"Woah! Y-You're one of the Autobots?!" Leo asked in shock.

"Y-yeah..." Blue admitted. you okay?

"I'm fine! I just couldn't believe that my dad didn't told me about this!" Leo said, a little mad that his own dad, who was an agent who works for the government, didn't tell him about walking and talking robots that can transformed into their vehicle modes. After all, he's an agent-in-training/consultant in Unit E.

That's when both Blue and Leo saw one of the vehicons coming.

"Get out of here!" Blue yelled at Leo, who nodded and ran into the black alley, disappearing. The Vehicon then transformed into his robot mode and tried to punch his enemy, but the blue scout dodge the attack and kicked the 'con's face. The con then got up.

"Where's the boy?!" The con sneered at the blue scout.

"You don't need to know, junk heap!" Blue Jacket said, before shooting the 'cons head. Before he could check if Leo Fowler was still there, he got a call from his Delta Team partner, Arcee.

"Blue, this is Arcee. We need you back to base." The two-wheeler said.

"Got it! I'm on my way back." Blue said. He turned off his com-link, transformed into his vehicle mode and drove off the area.

In the black alley, Leo Fowler recorded the whole battle between the blue scout and the vehicon. He then sent it (and the message since it went to voice mail) to his dad. He then left the area before anyone or anything else could see him.

Autobot Base

The Autobots told Optimus and Ratchet about their encounter with the humans.

"Two boys?" Optimus asked when Bumblebee showed him two fingers. That's when they saw Blue Jacket driving through and transforming into his robot mode.

"Make that three boys." Blue said, walking towards them. "The worse part is that the third boy is Agent Fowler's son, Leo Fowler.

"What?!" Ratchet exclaimed, yelling in shock. "It's bad enough that two boys are in this now, but Fowler's own son is in it as well?!"

"Hey, those 'cons tried to kill the kid! What do you want me to do?!" Blue yelled back at the medic. Prime then decided an idea.

"If the Decepticons are targeting us, anyone perceived as our ally will be at grave risk." Optimus said to his allies.

The Next Day

Later in the base, The Autobots were ready to pick up the humans that saw them. Before Blue could go with Arcee and Bumblebee, Optimus stopped him.

"Blue Jacket, I suggested you stay here." Optimus said.

Blue was confused of why Optimus would suggested this.

"Optimus, no offense, but why would leave here? Besides, like you said yesterday, if the Decepticons think that the humans that we encountered, they could be at risk." Blue Jacket said.

Optimus nodded at the blue scout before he continued to talk.

"If Agent Fowler found out about his son getting involved into our war, he'll no doubt blame us for it."

Blue Jacket nodded, seeing Arcee and Bumblebee leave the base in their vehicle modes.

Leo's House

Leo Fowler decided to stay at home, instead of going to school today. He was waiting for his dad to come back. His dad has been busy since the divorce... He missed his mother sometimes. That was when he heard some noises from outside. When he got out of the house, he found his dad getting out of the black helicopter.

"Hey son." Fowler said to Leo. He then saw the expression on his son's face. When Leo showed him the video of two robots battling each other, he knew that his son deserves the truth. "Leo, come with me." Fowler said.

"Yes dad." Leo said, getting in the helicopter. Once they got inside, Fowler started flying the helicopter to the sky.

I'm so happy that I finished this chapter. I know that it was a long time, but I was busy doing my real life issues and this chapter was long, which was why there was a few scenes.

Don't worry, you guys will see action in the next chapter, and that is also where Agent Fowler, also known as William Fowler, will let his son, Leo Fowler enter and stay in the Autobot base.
