Chapter 3 Followed and Some Explaining to Do
The day finally came for Snow, David and Emma to leave San Francisco. They decided to travel there using Emma's yellow bug. They all speculated what their grandson/nephew would be like. What was his personality? What did he like and dislike?
It was dark when they arrived in San Francisco. They knew the mother and child's address or what it was safe to say their address is. Two streets away from Prescott Street. Mother and son leave a local takeaway. Paige was carrying a bag filled with food. All the while, they were unaware that they were being followed.
As they turn a corner, the boy stopped in his tracks and is hit with a premonition.
"Mommy." The boy whispered.
"Yes, little guy."
"I had a flash, we're being followed." Kyle Junior answered.
"Now?"
"Yes." Kyle Junior answered.
"Don't worry mama is going to fix this." Paige said to try and reassure the boy. She just had to be smart. The Matthews witch mumbled a spell under her breath. Before she led Kyle Junior into a back alley. Just then the Charming trio appeared before mother and son in a flash of white light.
"What the hell?" Snow gasped confused, how did this just happen magic wasn't supposed to work outside of Storybrooke.
"You three aren't very smart sneaking up on a witch." Paige then with a flick of a wrist trapped the three in an orb shield.
"This is all a big misunderstanding. We didn't m…" David started.
"Mommy are they warlocks?" Kyle Junior asked.
"Warlocks?" David whispered as he looked both to his daughter and wife.
"Not sure, but I'm going to find out." Paige then orbed all five of them over to the Halliwell manor. Emma, David and Snow, however, were still trapped in a force field.
The five of them manifested in the attic in a swirl of blue and white orbs. Emma, David and Snow are still trapped in a force field created by that. Paige with a wave of a hand orbed four large white crystals around the three in a square formation. After the crystal cage was formed Paige lowered her orb shield. Paige told her son to leave the attic and ask her sisters to come upstairs.
Prue the eldest Halliwell sister and oldest Charmed One despite concerned about the charming trio following her baby sister and youngest nephew. Decided to stay downstairs and watch the kids with her husband Andy.
Back in the attic, we have Piper and Phoebe the second and third Charmed Ones with Paige interrogating Emma, David and Snow. Piper wasn't fond of the idea of interrogating people upstairs in the attic who could be demonic or even a warlock. While the children were downstairs. But she knew sometimes the universe wasn't on her side.
"Alright blondie, why were you and your friends following my son and I?" Paige demanded. As she stood near the Storybrooke trio without trying to cross the border.
"It's a long story," David said.
"Well, start talking before I vanquish you." Paige threatened.
"VANQUISH!"
"Paige, you have it wrong, we come from a town called Storybrooke..." Emma started.
"Never heard of it." Paige cut in.
"Paige, in order for us to understand. We have to give them a chance to explain. If they are bad guys. Piper will just blow them up." Phoebe scolded, as she stood next to the Book of Shadows.
"Are these crystals really necessary?" Snow asked. Her hand was already burnt from one when she tried to pick it up.
"Our children are here, you really think we're going to let three strangers walk freely now finishing explaining," Piper told Snow, Emma and David. She stood next to Paige.
"Okay, long story short fairy tales exist my folks are Snow White and Prince Charming. We found out my long lost twin brother had a son. Your son, so we decided to come here and meet the latest member of our family." Emma explained.
"Pheebs their emotions are they genuine?" Paige asked. Phoebe walked away from the book and over to her older and little sister to get a reading off them.
"They appear to be. But I still think we should use a truth potion as a precaution." Phoebe answered.
"How did my grandson know about us following you?" David asked curiously.
"Premonition, he gets them for me," Phoebe explained.
"Maybe Gold was wrong. Maybe magic can exist outside of Storybrooke just not our kind of magic." Snow suggested.
Kyle Junior had sneaked away from his cousins and his aunt Prue and uncle Andy. And made his way back upstairs and sat outside the closed attic to listen in. He couldn't help, but be curious about two women and man who decided to follow them like creeps. There was no way the blond woman could be their daughter.
They looked to be about the same age. He wasn't sure how long he was listening in. But all that came to an end when he felt someone grab his shoulder. He gasped and turned his head to face. The owner of said hand, the boy disappeared in a swirl of blue and white orbs but returned seconds later.
"What do you think you're doing?" A voice said from behind, the tone had no hint of aggression or anger. But instead was calm almost neutral.
"Auntie Prue." Kyle Junior said.
"You didn't answer my question kiddo." Prue pointed out.
"I…I got lost. I needed the toilet and got lost." The boy lied to the older witch god he was a bad liar.
"I find it hard to believe that. You've slept over here plenty of times." Prue frowned.
"Alright, I was curious. I never really got to see people from my visions good or bad." Kyle Junior responded. Prue held a hand out to the boy who accepted it.
"The pizza is going to get cold soon," Prue said.
Back inside the attic, Paige still remained unconvinced at the trio's claim.
"How is it possible that you're her parents when you're the same age?" Paige asked.
"The Evil Queen cast a curse one that sent us here. To what we all believed to be a land without magic. My husband and I spent twenty-eight years in Storybrooke where time was frozen. Our true memories were erased and we were given new ones. Before the Dark Curse was cast. We sent baby Emma and her brother to this land through a magic wardrobe. So, the queen couldn't kill them. Or have the two become victims of the curse." Snow explained.
"We used a magic globe to try and track down our son. Sadly, it showed us that our son died before we had a chance to see him again. But showed us, your son. We just wanted to see my grandson the only connection we have to him." David added. The sisters did feel a little sympathy for their captives. Paige, while she never lost a child. She had lost Mr and Mrs Matthews her adoptive parents who she loved fiercely. And that kind of pain never goes away. She had to learn how to live with it. She wanted to believe them, but she couldn't take any risks. Not when it came to her son. She would have to find a strong enough truth potion to double-check. If the three were being truthful.
"Where do you plan on staying tonight?" Paige asked.
"A motel," Emma answered.
"Fine, we'll let you go tomorrow. I can give you a tour of Magic School." Paige told Snow, David and Emma before she orbed the crystals back into their rightful box. She then orbed the three back over to the alley. Where she first met them.
End of chapter 3.
