Peter crouches on the roof, overlooking the city, its clear that he is in New York, but he knows that this isn't his universe. Behind him is a billboard saying a vote for Sunset is a vote for Paradise. The picture shows a tanned woman wearing a yellow suit while giving off a smile. Spray painted under her smile are the word, FUCK YOU BITCH. Peter watches as three police cars go flying down the street, behind them he sees a figure swinging on a web after the cars. He watches for a moment before sighing, he jumps off and swings after the other web swinger.
A news fan pulls up beside the police line, a reporter hops out and fixes her curly red hair, she looks towards the camera guy and motions for him to start rolling. "This is MJ Watson, this just in the vigilante known as Sleepwalker has infiltrated Mayor Sunset's offices, and is currently fighting against the Iron Man"
An explosion hits the building and MJ covers her head, as debris falls in the distance. The police run for cover and duck behind their police cars. the camera man shakes and almost fall down. She looks up to see a figure swinging into the building and she immediately begins to talk again, "and it looks like Sleepwalkers known friend has arrived, the infamous Spider-Woman" On a television screen it pops up with information about Spider-Woman, a newsman covers the information.
" The Spider-Woman has been acting as a vigilante and has been an active menance for the past 9 years, known accomplices of Spider-Woman include, The Sleepwalker, and American Eagle. This group is wanted for the murder of Harry Osborne, former Mayor Tony Stark and the late Peter Parker, who was tragically tourtured and turned into the Lizard by Spider-Woman."
Images pop up showing the devastating fight between Spider-Woman and the Lizard, blocks of the city were destroyed and thousands of people were injured.
" Currently the Spider-Woman alone is wanted for the murder of former police chief, Steven Stacy and our very own Eddie Brock. The current bounty on her head is around 38 million dollars which invites bounty hunters and other villain's to come to our peaceful city and end up destroying it while they try to capture her!"
Peter turns off the television, he looks out the window at the mayor building and shakes his head. He watches as another explosion echoes the empty room, he hold the shield in both hands, he lowers his head. He had no fight in this world, but deep down he knew that he couldn't sit by and watch this fight go down. The words of Steve Rodgers echoed in his head, "Be the man you have to be". Peter cursed and jumped out the window, he swung over the police line and landed on top of the news van. MJ looks up and points and the camera man aims the camera up focusing on Peter. MJ starts to talk, "And it looks like we have a newcomer on the field..." As she speaks another explosion goes off sending rubble flying outwards, Peter jumps in the air and throws the shield knocking smaller pieces of rubble away. He does a flip and uses a web to pull back a large piece of rock and he prevents it from landing on MJ. He lands on the ground and catches the shield. He dusts it off it off and looks back at the building, he jumps up and swings off to the building. MJ stands up looms back at the camera and asks quietly, "Please tell me you got all that"
Peter crashes into the building to see its on fire from the inside, he suppresses a cough and he begins to dash through he building, as he checks around it seems like most of the civilians had already been evacuated. From where he was in the lobby he could hear the sounds of fighting from above. There was a beam of light and the floor above Peter collapses immediately, he jumps out of the way without breaking a sweat. He throws a web up and goes through the newly made hole in the ground. He hears yelling and sees a figure blast through the floor, the figure stands up, he seems to be in a modified verse of Tony Starks suit. He bushes off some rubble that was on his suit and he looks over at Peter, "Now now, who might you be". Before Peter can say anything a whirlwind of shadows grab the man and drag him through a wall. The man shoots out another beam of energy causing a portion of the wall to collapse. Peter uses the shield and makes it bounce away, he jumps through the wall after the man, when he jumps through the wall he sees that the man in the Iron Man suit is beating down a man who seem like he is cloaked in some black robes. The black clad man lays there motionless, another figure enters the room and swings up and kicks Iron Man backwards. He staggers backwards and chuckles slightly, "Now now, Spider-woman...your days of playing hero are up."
"Enough Arno...Just give us what we came for", says Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Arno chuckles as he balls his hands into a fist. "And what ruin my reputation? I was hired to protect secrets, not give them away" A large beam shoots out from his chest, aiming straight for Spider-Woman. Peter jumps in front of her and uses the shield to block the beam, it shoots backwards hitting Aron back. It knocks him back sending him flying backwards out of the building, Peter turns around to ask Spider-Woman if she is okay but to his surprise she is gone, and so is the man clad in black robes. The sound of heels can be heard behind Peter, he turns around to see the woman from the billboard standing behind him, beside her is a tall, young man with short silver hair. The young man flexes his hand which look to be both metallic. "And who might you be?", asks the Woman, her companion reaches down and picks up a piece of stone and crushes it. The woman rolls her eyes at the young man, "Enough Silvermane...go check on Arno"
The young man leaves the room and the woman leans against her desk, she pulls out an envelope and begins to thumb through it, "Well obviously your silence tells me that you don't know who I am". She straightens up and sets the envelope down and stares at Peter, she takes a step towards him, Peter keeps hos eyes focused on her. "I am Sunset Bain, the mayor of New York city and..."
Her eyes drop down to the shield and her eyes go wide, "Where did you get that? No...No... How did you get that" She points at the shield, and Peter puts it behind him slightly.
She stares him down before taking a step foreward and says "give it to me"
