Fan fiction The Land Before Time: Uninvited Guests
The night has fallen on the Great Valley. It looked as if the whole place was cooling off from a very hot, humid day. The sun was setting down upon surrounding cliffs that protected the residents from large meat eaters. It didn't protect it from smaller ones. The small mammals known as hairy gnawers were very much present in the valley. There were the occasional little biters, but this time, there was a more dangerous, cunning predator among them aside from the local young sharp tooth, Chomper. These small sharp teeth were not as dangerous or as cunning as their bigger counterparts, but they were poisonous. They had no need for huge massive strong bodies. They could ambush their unexpected prey by blinding them with deadly poison. None of the visitors were aware of this threat since they only heard good things about the Great Valley. Most of the good things they had heard about that there were no sharp tooth allowed to enter even though sharp teeth eventually did. Nature always finds balance in itself. Of course, neither the local residents were aware of the Poisonous Spitters. Only Littlefoot, Cera, and Chomper had their suspicions.
"I know what you are?" Chomper growled at the Poison Spitters.
"We are sharp teeth like you cute little baby." Dilo cooed.
"Oh, what a precious baby !" Dippy cuddled Chomper.
Just that moment, Ruby came in to see where Chomper was. "There you are, Chomper." She said relieved, "I am glad you have found some new friends." She eyed aware at the sail back sharp tooth playing with the rocks in the back of Chomper's lair.
The Poison Spitters were first startled by this newcomer.
"Hello, we are new here," smiled Dilo pleasantly.
"Yes, it is so good to be here in such a friendly, peaceful place." Dippy giggled.
"Everyone is welcomed." Ruby said still eyeing the sail back with caution.
"Gub Gub is my friend," Chomper said, " We like to play Roar, King of the Mountain, and Wrestling. He is very good at wrestling."
Cera and Little foot were not ones to let go their suspicions so easily. The first time, they notice something unusual about these sisters was when they met them. They reminded them of sharp teeth. Cera made sure her little sister was safe, but never letting her out of sight.
" Stay with the other three horns." She butted her sister with those her sister's age. "Oof !"
Cera gasped when an other three horn Cera's age rammed her from behind. A ray of laughter rang from all other the other horn calves. Cera's face turn red with anger. "Ha, HA ! Very Funny !" She came up with her face covered with mud from the sinkhole. Shaking it off, she snorted.
Meanwhile, Little foot had his own troubles to deal with. Little foot laughed as he chased his fellow long necks around.
"Ha, Ha !"
"You can't catch me !" one of them giggled.
"This is fun!" another connected.
"Hee !" giggled another.
"My turn ." Said another.
Just then, Little foot stumbled on something. He hit chin on the floor. It wasn't very hard fall and he wasn't really hurt. He was surprised he had stumbled on something on the ground. What was it he fell on? The other young long necks gasped as they saw it what Little foot had tripped on. It wasn't like he had gotten hurt or had bump into an older long neck or a hungry sharp tooth. It was none of the above, but something just as bad. It was something unexpectedly horribly strange and gross at the same time. It was a bunch of half-eaten dead baby long necks lying on the ground. Their white eyes stared blankly at the sky. Their mouths had a dull expression as drool ran down their mouths and covered their chins. Their spit fell down the ground motionlessly silent. Gray smelly goop was all over the face.
"What is it?" gasped a young long neck .
Little foot stood there looking in amazement as well as in complete horror. He didn't know what to say except poison spitters.
"What are poison spitters?" asked a friend .
"There are dead longneck babies, plant waste." Insulted another.
"Oh dear !" Said another.
"Sharptooth !" cried one of Little foot's new friends.
" In the Great Valley, Poison Sharp teeth, how is that possible?" Another little Long neck said.
"They are changing to fit in their new surroundings since they aren't able to get into the Great Valley without any of us knowing." Little foot randomly said. He didn't want his new friends to know about Chomper or the poison spitters that were let in. He kept saying to himself in his head. We let them in by accident. My friends and I accidentally let them in. No, they sneak in. Why didn't I tell my elders ? Now I going to be in trouble for letting all these poor innocent babies get killed and eaten. Those greedy sharp teeth didn't even finish their meals. He had tell someone. He wasn't even sure they were poison spitters or sharp teeth. He only had Chomper's witness, but he need more proof than Chomper's words. Chomper was his friend, but he was still a sharp tooth. Nobody would believe a sharp tooth, not even a baby one.
