A/N: I may have put some references and A/Ns that will appear in the story, which I will write down at the end of the page. Also, I wanted to add that there's harsh language in the first chapter but since this is a Vivziepop-related story, it's obvious that there's swearing.
"Terren!" Terren and Keenie heard the first thing in Monday morning when they walked out of the house before 7 o clock, early enough to walk to school as Terren kindly decline his adopted parents' proposal on dinner last night of driving them to school that will reveal the entire facility of their connections, also attracting the students to humiliate the hell out of Terren, until the two realized and smiled at Puteri and Collin emerging out of her house and join to their sides, "Good morning!".
So far, the weekend has been pleasant even with the C. H. E. R. U. B's first weekend in a human's home as Terren's adopted parents has not noticed them yet while Puteri's parents encouraged the children to both help the cherubs for their predicaments, and hang out around town as dates, just as long as Terren and Puteri need to focus of not only helping Collin and Keenie look for Cletus, but study for their final examinations which the two genuinely promised, since they are the good students of Class E. Hopefully, the two can both show the C. H. E. R. U. B a good time in the human world and return them to Heaven by the time they will graduate their last year of high school.
Unfortunately, there's only one problem now that both classmates and neighbors of both Redwood Academy and Rumble Grove have to deal with for this and their last year of school, and it has nothing to do with the cherubs….
"No way!"
"Is this really happening!? Am I dreaming!?"
"What does that mean? Is he trying to be cool now!?"
"Yeah, and I think it's working!"
"Damn that punk!"
Terren twitches his eyebrows in irritation from having to hear the annoying comments and complaints from the other students as soon as he and Puteri walked through the school gates, with Collin and Keenie taking note of their reactions to seeing the boys and girls watching Terren and Puteri walking together inside the school are either shocked, angry, and jealous.
From what knowledge they gathered from switching and staying in both houses as a new routine during their stay in the human world, both cherubs learned that Puteri is popular in school for her natural but rare beauty, excellent grades, and equal kindness to them, hence her nickname as the Water Princess, and her parents' deeds of traveling the world and fighting against those who associate with the Dark Hell Market, even after having Puteri. Now, Evan Kemp works as a professional fighter and martial artist trainer while Dij is a housewife. But, due to their accomplishments, Evan and Dij still assist the police to stop the increasingly dwindling yet limited members of the Dark Hell Market and other criminals lingering in America as freelance bounty hunters.
"Such a dangerous job, but at least that they protect the people from the Dark Hell Market." Keenie once told Collin last night when the two students slept in their bedrooms after finishing a part of their studies for the finals.
As soon as Puteri and Terren walked into Class E while trying to ignore the students walking past them stop and watch them walking together, the four were again greeted by more dismayed comments and stares from their classmates with the boys snarling their jealously at Terren while the girls were initially startled of seeing Puteri walking with him before they start whispering to themselves with a pleased smile only for a loud bang ringing the air and everyone sees Beverly slamming her hands on her desk and glared at Terren with a sneer. "Why are you and Puteri walking together again!? I'm the one who's supposed to walk with her every day!"
"Chillax, yandere chick. It's just a peaceful walk and talks, so I didn't do anything worth hurting her. Plus, I figured that it should be nice if she could have a new friend instead of you dragging her around and pushing others away from her." Terren sighed in annoyance once the two walked inside with everyone watching the scene with mild amusement and jealously only to shift in annoyance when Beverly stomped towards the two with a finger jabbing in front of Terren's face and complain her anger, unable to see Collin hiding behind Keenie in fear while the latter protectively stood in front of her love and sneer at the mad girl. "I don't believe you! You must've taken Puteri somewhere on Valentine's Day last Friday, when she said you two walked home! I was hoping to have our first date in a family restaurant, and you ruined it! Admit it, you forced her into some shady shop for your kind!"
'You forced yourself to her last Friday, bitch.' Terren mentally sneered while hoping the cherubs would not hear him curse inside his mind.
"We did walk home and we both knew that it was Valentine's Day, but we didn't go out to some fancy restaurant." Terren admitted just as Puteri subtly raises her hand to point a finger at Terren's rubber watch where he still has her heart-shaped pins she gifted him and spoke with a concerned scowl. "It's true. I only bought him a gift, and we bumped into my parents before we walked home together."
It was that when Terren, Puteri, Collin, and Keenie froze in fright of watching the former two's classmates screaming their appalment with most of them noticing the heart pins on Terren's watch before they start bombing against the fated couple with questions while Terren allowed Puteri to hide and grasps her hands behind his back in fear and both cherubs cover their ears with their hands when some of them start cursing. "HUUHHHH!?"
"You got a Valentine's Day gift from the Water Princess!?"
"You didn't pay her to get it for you, do you!?"
"You even met her parents!?"
"Don't tell me, they think you're good for Puteri!"
"Are they hot, like from the magazine shots!?"
"You lucky bastard!"
"Can you introduce me to them?!/ I wanna give them a good first impression for their daughter!"
"Get back! I'm the only one who gets to demand the punk those questions!" Beverly firmly uses her back as a shield to push any of the students behind her back while Terren first looks over his shoulder to see Puteri, Collin, and Keenie showing fear and anger in the latter, before he glared back and shouted at them in anger, startling their classmates in shock for the sudden temper. "Can all of you calm down?! You're scaring Puteri!" 'And Collin and Keenie too!' Terren mentally added what he wishes to say, but unable to reveal their secret to the class.
"What's going on in here?" A gruff voice demanded outside Class E alerted them to look outside the door and grimace in anger or cower in fear by the sight of the one standing outside to be an athletically built man, not as tall and muscled as Puteri's father as both noticed, with short and slicked black yet slightly greying hair, black eyes, and wears a simple white shirt with red stripes on the sleeves, blue track bottoms, and white sneakers. As Redwood Academy's P.E teacher and former athlete of the Olympics, Dexter Rocky has the reputation of training the students to become the best athletes in different sports for the world, but like some school-related animes Terren watched to noticed a trope in the said animes, Mr. Rocky's training tends to get aggressive whenever some students find his training difficult or used as punishment, which results in the students hating and terrified of him even when he reprimanded the class with the sneer on his face. "Arguing is fine, but if I hear any of you brawling in the class…there'll be a punishment."
Without a word to respond, Class E angrily and fearfully watch the P.E teacher slowly walk away although Collin and Keenie noticed the man was eying ominously at Puteri who continues to hide behind Terren from the other classmates until he left only for Mrs. Mirabelle and one of the school janitors wearing his cap to hide his hair and eyes to appear and walk inside, the former express a confused reaction at seeing Class E standing closer to Terren and Puteri before she enquired what she thought in her mind from earlier. "Guys, before I could ask what are you all doing…was that Mr. Rocky walking past here?"
"Y…Yeah. He thought we were arguing." A student answered after looking at all of his classmates before glaring back to Mrs. Mirabelle who first look at the janitor to see his mouth curl in anger before closing her eyes with a sigh, unsure if she is agitated or tired of her class fighting each other over something as trivial as affection from a girl, even if it is the popular girl, once the homeroom and Math teacher walked closer to the teacher's desk with her bag and a white piece of paper on her hands until she places her bag on the desk and holds onto the paper to start reading, all ignore the capped janitor standing close to the door and watch the class remain standing from their seats.
"Alright, class. I have an announcement for everyone; as of right now, the headmaster would like to split Class E into two, with the intention of grouping those that are interested in studying for the finals in one class, now called D.5, while the others that prefer to NOT do their work will stay in this one. Those that will stay in Class E are…" Mrs. Mirabelle announced to the class who react dumbfounded of splitting Class E into two, yet the boys immediately wonder in satisfaction of who shall be in the same class as the Water Princess when everyone listens to Mrs. Mirabelle announcing the ten names of students staying in Class E, including Beverly, before she then stated the other ten students now moving to D.5…. "…Puteri Kemp, and Terren Morgan."
"What!?" Some of the classmates staying in Class E and Beverly gasped in horror and enragement while the new students of Class D.5, aware that the other students of their former class are the troublesome jerks that like tormenting the school than do their work, cheered their happiness with Keenie and Collin joining them despite all but Terren and Puteri cannot hear them while the aforementioned fated couple stare at the students staying in Class E gawking their anger at Mrs. Mirabelle as if she is the one who decided to split their class into two.
Seeing Mrs. Mirabelle receiving the cold stare treatment immediately agitate Terren that they were going to argue with their teacher and his adopted mother for something decided by the headmaster, who no one has seen once during their school life, until everyone including the janitor watches Beverly again slamming her hands at the teacher's desk and sneer her fury on her face. "Why would you send that delinquent in the same class with Puteri!? Why can't you just replace him with me!? I've done some work, so I should also be in D.5!"
"Are you sure, Miss Nicks? We, teachers, have been checking on every single work the students of Redwood Academy has done for years, and we have collected the data of those that have done their work and not to finalize the attendance for both Class E and D.5, and all of your homework has some if not almost most of your questions left unanswered without effort." Mrs. Mirabelle informed with a glower for hearing the bratty girl again call her and her husband's secretly adopted son an awful name for his appearance, the same would apply to everyone who did not see the true Terren other than Puteri, as she did not let the disheveled girl speak to continue explaining the discussion while pointing a finger at Puteri still standing behind Terren's back. "Also, I accept that Puteri should not go anyway with you. Because your treatment of everyone in the school will mentally affect her. If you not only focus on your studies and be nice to people, then you would have your chance. Terren did and he gets to be with Puteri."
"…What, no! I don't…what about the punk? He'll hurt her more than me!" Terren and Puteri then ignore Beverly's complaints when the two notice the other eight classmates assigned to D.5 now standing beside their sides with one of the female students nervously smile at the both of them while the other two girls who are her friends stood behind her with a reassuring pat on her back, gaining her confidence even in front of Terren. "U-Um...Since we're going to be in the same class, and Terren said you could use a new friend, instead of being forced to be with Beverly…I was wondering if we could be friends?"
Puteri release a soft gasp of awe of the offer with everyone now facing at her for the response, even Beverly stopped arguing with the teacher as the 'Water Princess' looks at Terren, Collin, and Keenie to wonder of the answer, seeing the latter two softly wave their hands at her with their hopeful smiles and the former whispering what the four heard as 'Go on…' with a small grin before Puteri closes her eyes and warmly smile at her former and new classmates. "I would love to be your friend…I hope you don't mind me and Terren too!"
Unaware of Puteri and the cherubs, Terren shuddered in surprise at the response as he felt himself blushing with happiness at both Puteri's beautiful face and her offer only to flinch in apprehension when he slowly turns around and see a few of their other female classmates gasping their surprise and happiness with blushing cheeks at Puteri's words and beauty…while all of the boys and Beverly are glaring at Terren with anger and jealously that sends his body shuddering with dread for assuming that he and Puteri are dating.
Terren was focused on trying to shoo them away from him and Puteri which enrages them further with one of the female classmates assigned to Class D.5 hastily grab Beverly before she could attack him for taking Puteri away from her, that he did not see his adopted parents watching him at first before Mrs. Mirabelle swiftly flash a thumbs up at her husband with her ecstatic smile flashing on her face for her happiness of their adopted son having friends for once, with the janitor return the gesture by giving himself a thumbs up with both hands and a playful smirk as well…
"Fuh, what a day. Sorry, you guys had to see that …" Terren tiredly sighs his irritation as he, Puteri, Keenie, and Collin walked and fly on the road of their neighborhood lane once they finished school, with Terren and Puteri having to deal with the students spying and gossiping about their relationship to the point Terren had to grab Puteri by the hand and run out of their new classroom and school with Collin and Keenie flying after them before the angry mob of Redwood students could give chase, leaving them screaming their horror and anger that the Water Princess has the academy's delinquent as a boyfriend. Although that he did achieve what the boys in and out of their school could not, it doesn't feel right with Terren who is ashamed as a boy that they had to degrade themselves to fight and become obsessed with being the partner of a single girl.
Yes, he may have a crush on Puteri when they first met in the first year of high school, but he does not share his fellow male schoolmates' harsh motives of courting an innocent girl…who has both an awesome superpower that a few CAN bear and terrifying parents.
"I'm so sorry, Terren…I realized too late what I said." Puteri apologized in sadness as Terren turn his head to his left and blinked his eyes in astoundment of the sudden apology with Collin and Keenie flying around the sky but still close to Rumble Grove and the two students, looking around and sense for Cletus's presence while the other two continues to walk through the houses until they will reach to theirs for Puteri to continue to talk with hesitance for her earlier mistake. "I thought that will get the students to see that you're not as scary as they thought. I didn't mean to make them think that we're dating… but I don't mind."
'You don't mind?! You mean, you don't mind making them think we're dating!? Or you don't mind us dating for real!?' Terren thought in disbelief at first although his mental tone changed into either happiness or relief, surprised to know of Puteri admitting her mistake, feeling his system going lighter with affection and his face blushing harder with his smile, nearly stutter his appreciation to his hopefully future girlfriend while the two ignore Collin and Keenie's disappearance to know they are flying around Rumble Grove and the town for Cleetus. "I-I-It's okay, Puteri! I-It's just your first time having new friends, so it's alright. I think you'll be okay to have more friends in this final year. And I'll be more than happy to help you be happy in school for once, as long as we can still pass this year while helping out with the cherubs…even if we make people think we're dating!"
"I don't mind if we are. It must be nice, to be in a relationship." Puteri remarked with a kind smile and gently grasp Terren's left hand with her right, seeing their Red Thread of Fate blinking a few times whenever they are either standing together or even holding their hands together while Terren initially shook with a muffled noise of exhilaration from his shaky smile and his face still glowing red, trying to ignore his body wiggling like jelly and almost fall on the ground when the two find themselves already arriving at their houses with Puteri's having the front gates ajar and show the two a figure spraying water at Puteri's family's giant, black-colored International CXT truck with a sheet canopy for the back with a hose to wash the soap off, with the other but smaller cherry-red Ferrari car already washed. When Terren first visited the house, he and the cherubs were blown into amazement of seeing a giant truck such as this, knowing that they have it due to Evan's size, with Terren being a major geek for racing and the type of cars.
But today, Terren's attention was focused on the young man washing the car that captured his curiosity. 'Who's that?'
"We're home, Zen." Puteri greeted the young man with the same smile as Terren first glance at her with a startled frown before looking back at the one called Zen who finished washing the soap off the CXT before noticing the two students outside the gate, giving a faint smile that looks like a smirk when he silently nodded his response. Appears to be as young as the both of them, Zen is a tall boy sharing Terren's height but has some muscles to be athletically built, handsome that made the latter think he came straight out of an anime, spiky, chin-length, black hair with brown locks, pale blue eyes that also shines by the light, fair skin, and dressed in a simple black T-shirt with a picture showing a woman wearing armor and holding a claymore-like weapon with key-shaped aesthetics in hand, dark and baggy brown pants with a light brown belt holding a pair of drill-like cones hanging behind, and black shoes.
It was his shirt's design that Terren spotted and broke his face into an amazing grin, nearly startling Puteri to remove her hand off his. "No way! Is that a Keybearer Yuna shirt!? Are you a fan of the Keybearer series?!"
"One of the first games I played. Of course, I prefer to watch anime more than video games as an otaku, depending on my mood. You must be Terren from last Friday. Sorry for not introducing myself to you earlier; I'm Arzen, Puteri's older twin brother. Call me Zen." Arzen responded with a poised smile and a slow bow for his introduction, raising a hand for Terren to shook his head with a nod before his smile faltered into confusion. "Pleasure's mine. How come I didn't see you when I visited the house?"
"Well, I stayed behind to clean the house when Mom and Dad left to do shopping…but Mom called me to rest myself when you all came home. So I spent the time watching all episodes of Magician's Restart before helping the family and Mister Collin made dinner." Arzen mused his answer before glaring at Terren with a seductive or menacing smirk when the latter reacted in horror and disgust of the title Magician's Restart while Puteri turns her head with a puzzled scowl when he questions her revealed twin brother in dread. "You watch Magician's Restart!? Dude, that's nasty! How can you handle that show!? In fact, how is THAT even an anime!?"
"Terren, isn't that that show people kept talking about online…" Puteri tried to recall only to express dismay of being shaken by Terren hastily yet gently grasping his hands on her forearms with Arzen watching them with amusement on his face, just as three ignore both Dij walking out of the front door and Collin and Keenie returned from flying around town with disappointment and sorrow on their faces, indicating that they still cannot sense Cletus anyway. "No! Please don't watch the show, Puteri! I don't want you scared to death by what they show in there!"
"Your teacher called me and the other mothers about the new class placement for your finals. Is it better than your original class?" Dij, dressed in a simple and sleeveless brown dress flowing to her knees with golden flower-like designs, informed the children while pulling out the third baking pan of butter cookies she and Arzen baked for everyone to have tea with and keep the others as snacks, filling the entire dining area and kitchen with the smell of vanilla and soothe the four's senses to smile and relax from today, once Dij tipped them all into a bowl she pulled out before walking towards the table Terren, Puteri, Collin, and Keenie are and placed the bowl at the center of the table when Puteri answered her mother's question, waiting for the cookies to cool down a bit before getting one while Arzen starts putting the other two trays of butter cookies in multiple plastic bags. "Yeah, Mum. Compared to before, Class D.5 is peaceful and everyone's so nice to talk to and work with to finish any group work."
"The best part; because they would tend to complain and argue instead of doing work even before the change, Class E will get a later time to have a break and finish school instead of sharing the same times as the other classes. I guess because of the class separation, Beverly tried to run inside D.5 right after her break time started." Terren added once he grabs his first cookie and ate his, shivering in delight by the delicious taste of butter and vanilla violating his taste buds which Collin and Keenie also shares the sentiment although the latter closes her eyes with a frown for hearing Beverly's name to comment her displeasure when remembering the agitated girl nearly storm into Class D.5 right after the latter class was about to start their class. "I don't know what's wrong with that girl. I hope there's a better way for us to redeem her, instead of being an obsessed one."
"Well, maybe Puteri did something nice to her when they were in kindergarten, cause even a shy little girl with no friends can tend to get possessive of someone who shows her kindness for once, making her more obsessed to have them for herself. Believe me, I used to be worse than her." Dij pondered with a soft frown after she sat next to Puteri who reacted in shock like Terren and the cherubs for hearing her mother mention a bit of her past, leaving Arzen to grab the three baking pans and head into the kitchen to wash them.
"Y-y-you used to be worse than B-B-Beverly? T-t-then, w-what did you do before you met Evan?" Collin stuttered his question in concern after eating his cookie from his hooves with everyone excluding the Kemp's son stare at Dij sipping on her mug of green tea with her eyes closed even when she lowered her mug from her mouth to see her smiling a sad smile or frown once she answered with a tone that sounds like regret. "…I thought that I could have friends if I were to lie about my life and steal for them, only to realize I'm – sorry to say – a bitch for doing that. That used to make me think that it's pointless to have friends…until I decided to change myself before Evan made our lives awesome even by having Puteri and Azren to the world."
"Listen everyone; yes, people have done small or major sins to do something they wish to do. But that doesn't mean they intend to do so. To me, heroes focus on their goals to do anything to achieve at all cost, even by being villains, while villains may have agendas that are considered heroic to them. I'm not God, nor someone who believes anyone can be redeemed, but what I want the four of you to do, if you were to meet anyone you think is a 100% sinner, is to check if the person REALLY wants to do what they have done." Dij continued explaining her mind towards the four, collecting their astonishment and confusion to understand her words.
"What? What do you mean?" Keenie enquired with worry unable to mask the fear she and Collin have been trying to endure of Dij, finding the booming darkness of her heart and soul overwhelmingly unbearable than Evan's or anyone in the mortal realm while trying to know why is she keeping her darkness intact instead of releasing it out of her. Although, her explanation of people committing sins and her proposition may have eased her worry a bit.
"People who steal money would either keep it for themselves or use it for their or even their families' survival, the same they'll do for food and if people want to kill other people, they must have a reason. I will not say the same implies to the I.M.P Collin and Keenie told us. But if you immediately assume someone doing something wrong without knowing their purposes, this could have a nasty effect on your performance to do good deeds." Dij explained with a serious scowl that sends Puteri, Terren, Collin, and Keenie gulping in fear especially by the reddish glow of her eyes from any light.
"You need to tell if the bad people are sincerely doing their sins for no reason or if they have one. Ask or demand if the person's being bad a brief story for their purposes, see their body language and know if their eyes and tone of voice matches their story. If you learn a bit of the person, perhaps you four can quickly think of a solution to prevent someone from making a sin."
"Ha…" The four responded with uncertainty and assurance for Dij's proclamations. Learn a bit about the person and think quickly? That should be easier unless if it is a life or death situation. But it does not hurt to try, right? The two students and cherubs first look at each other before back to Dij once she finished her mug of green tea before she had another question to ask them without showing anything but the soft yet firm sneer. "Now then…you kids and cherubs thought on how to do good deeds?"
"Ah…I may have one idea." Terren hesitantly raised his hands with a nervous smile as everyone including Arzen when he walked out of the kitchen from washing the dishes and joined the others watch Terren fished out his A – Phone from his pocket and clicked on U-Tube, searching for one of his saved playlists named 'Random Act of Kindness' and tapped a finger on the first video he sees before holding his phone in front of Puteri, Dij, and Arzen with Collin and Keenie flying off their seats and hover beside them to see a compilation of people riding on motorcycles and perform niceties such as saving animals and people from busy roads, giving money or food to homeless people, and even buy flowers and give one to random civilians.
"This channel's called Bike Maniac and they show videos of people riding motorcycles in different compilations. My favorite compilation from them is the 'Random Act of Kindness'; where they help people and animals who are nearly down in the dumps and show some love to get a bit of humanity back in this dark world. My adopted parents bought me a motorbike on my birthday two years ago and they allowed me to ride around town after school, as long as I've done my schoolwork." Terren elucidated. "Since there's been an increase of homeless people, others looking like they want to commit suicide, and even stray animals left scared to cross the road or dead, I always wanted us to do what the people of Bike Maniac did and do our own Random Acts of Kindness…but without making videos."
"Ooh! That's a wonderful plan! Going around town and save souls to have humanity! That will make them feel so fulfilled!" Keenie agreed with amazement with Collin smiling happily for the suggestion, Puteri releasing a gasp of wonder, Arzen purse his lips with a bemused frown to show his amusement and Dij first ponder of the thought with the same sneer before she looks back at Terren for her mind, holding three fingers of her hand to count down. "If you both promise your parents to do your work after school, make sure you have done what I asked you to, never get into accidents, don't use this as an opportunity to get people to pay money for your kindness, and don't even think of making a U-Tube channel to make yourselves famous…can I trust you two to do so, if I say yes?"
"Y-Yes, ma'am!" Terren hastily responded with a terrifying salute and his mind screamed what his mouth could not say. 'I don't even like recording myself for fame and money! I just want to do good deeds, and want Puteri and me to go on dates!'
"Mum, you don't need to worry." Puteri assured her mother with a nervous smile as Keenie float between the two women and grasp her hands on Dij's shoulders, again trying to hide her fear from her paralyzing darkness threatening to violate her system and nearly fall on the ground. "Y-Yes, Miss Dij! Collin and I will make sure that Puteri and Terren will not get themselves hurt with our powers, do good to the people of the country, and remind them of their studies for the finals! You have our C. H. E. R. U .B word and Heaven's blessing!"
Dij silently ponders for the notion while staring at Terren and Puteri anxious for the answer, seeing their and Collin and Keenie's Red Threads of Fate blinking multiple times while Arzen is as curious as the others are before she ultimately nods her decision with a faint smile. "…Please do."
"Wow. That IS a big motorbike." Puteri commented her awe as she stood outside the porch and watch Terren walking out of his house while dragging out a yellow and black-colored expensive motorbike, big enough for three people or a large man to ride on it, and two helmets for both of them to wear during their first ride. Both students have their clothes changed from their uniforms for Terren to wear a red jersey shirt with black and white stripes, a pair of dark blue denim jeans, and black and white sneakers while Puteri wears a blue and yellow buttoned shirt underneath a pink jacket with the words San Diego written in white behind her back, a pair of white track bottom– like shorts, and dark grey boots.
Handing over a purple helmet to Puteri after wearing his orange helmet on his head, Terren smiled his appreciation of the comment while helping Puteri sit at the back of the motorbike before sitting in front of her to start the engine. "Thanks. I promise that you'll always have a good joyride with this thing."
"Wait for us!" Both heard Keenie and Collin called out from inside Puteri's house for the cherubs to fly out of the front door with Keenie holding a large basket of plastic bags filled with five butter cookies in each bag and plastic water bottles, while Collin holds a large bouquet of colorful flowers that can be bought from a flower shop.
"Dij is kind enough to give us the basket of cookies and water, and flowers from the garden. Says that we should start slow to go around town and give any homeless people these." Collin informed with a smile once he sat on Terren's lap and Keenie placed the basket of cookies on Puteri's before sitting on the handle without fear of falling off even if the motorbike will advance faster by the engine.
"Alright. We'll go not far by the town for today, and you guys can be on the lookout if we missed anything while riding." Terren explained with Puteri, Keenie, and Collin nod their response before hold onto Terren and the niceties once he starts turning his motorbike on with a booming roar from the engine and proceed to zoom out of the house and Rumble Grove with the suitable speed per minute, managed to stop and wave the guard posted outside the Rumble Grove's guardhouse, with the man waving back with a kind smile before Terren drove the four out to town with Puteri, Keenie, and Collin looking around at both sides for anything for good deeds while Terren kept his attention focused on the road, hoping not only they could find good deeds but also giving Puteri's first ride a pleasant one.
Five minutes after they left Rumble Grove and past Redwood Academy to go into more streets, Terren spotted a figure slowly moving sluggishly on the walking side of the road before he slowly decreases the acceleration until a stop for the four to see the figure is a woman either middle-aged or old, wearing decent clothes with a large wool shawl behind her back and sitting while struggling to move her wheelchair.
Noticing how dangerous the busy road is and concern for her safety, Puteri hastily climb off Terren's motorbike with Keenie flying off to float beside Puteri alongside the basket in hand while Terren and Collin watch with worry after leisurely moving his motorbike closer to the three ladies when Puteri asks the woman and softly grab the handles to stop her from hurting herself to move. "Miss, are you alright? Would you like me to push?"
"I'd love a push. Just need to go to the next street. Thank you." The woman accepted with a depressed smile as Puteri starts slowly pushing the wheelchair-bound woman with Terren powering his motorbike to move at the same speed as them, seeing the woman looking over her side and notice him before wearing the shawl over her back. "I'm so glad you two nice children are helping me."
"Not a problem, ma'am. Just lucky we spotted you before anything bad happens." Terren assured with a smile as he follows Puteri pushing the woman's wheelchair, making sure that he will catch her if her legs will go weak from walking a long distance even when they reach a crossroad that immediately stopped for people to walk across and cars lined up ready to move once it will go green, bringing Terren to slowly move past Puteri and the woman and raise a hand to attract the drivers while Puteri quickly yet serenely push the wheelchair and walk across the crossroad until they made it in time for the traffic lights to change green.
It was when the four realize the woman cried her relief for their help when they patiently listen to her story during the walk. "You have no idea how many people I've been asking for help, and they just walk past me..." 'How could they leave this sweet woman off?' Puteri and Keenie thought in sadness as the woman continues to speak while tearing up in sorrow. "…My own family treat me like shit, and threw me out of the house."
"Oh shit." Terren winced in pity and his blood boils in anger while Collin and Keenie gasped in horror of the story, the former knows how awful people can be when they want to throw their elders out of their homes for different reasons. After few times of looking at his rubber watch while talking with her and listening to her sad story to be twenty minutes after the four found the woman, the five found themselves reaching a large old retirement home she kindly asked them to lead them to, with Puteri slowly push the woman inside to the entrance and ring the doorbell before she then pulls out a bag of her mother's cookies and a water bottle from the basket while Collin handed her one of the roses from the bouquet.
"Here you go. It's not much, but we hope that it'll be enough for you." Puteri handed them over to the woman.
"Oh, why, thank you both so much. I hope to see you two lovebirds soon." The wheelchair-bound woman thanked with a smile and tears while raising her arms for a hug, which Puteri and Keenie accepted even though she cannot feel the latter hugging her back before Puteri and Keenie walk and fly back to Terren's motorbike, waving her goodbye, before Terren starts his motorbike and push the pedal to drive faster through the road while they can feel their hearts going fuzzy with happiness that they saved a woman from getting killed.
And so, during the trip around town for an hour or two, the four would spot either a lost animal barely got killed from an incoming vehicle in the middle of the road or a homeless person (s) sitting next to buildings with or without a sign begging people who ignored them for food for Terren, Puteri, or even both of them with the cherubs' help to climb out of the motorcycle and help animals and homeless people out of the way while giving the penniless humans the cookies, water bottle, and flowers to cheer them up and even send some in tears for their gifts.
Some even want to pay them back for their kindness but, as a way to also make Collin and Keenie ecstatic to also shed tears, Terren and Puteri decline their offer by reassuring them that 'they never even ask for a fee', a lyric from their C. H. E.R. U. B jingle when the two cherubs sang their old job to them.
Once they have checked around town and their gifts to be empty from giving them away for good deeds, Terren checked the time to be nearly 7 pm, three hours after they left Rumble Grove for the rider to inform the three and place the basket now holding Keenie and Collin as a seat for them on his lap. "Alright. Now, let's go home. We can do some more again tomorrow after school."
With a final nod and an 'Okay' from the others as the response, Terren powered his motorcycle and drive through the road that will lead them back to Rumble Grove through the evening with occasional glimpses of Collin and Keenie singing their jingle now with happiness and hope for the plan until Terren muffled a gasp of surprise from feeling Puteri's arms gently tighten her grip around his torso and her body pressed against his back during the ride, subtly look over his right shoulder and see Puteri holding onto him but unable to see her smiling from her helmet blocking his view, before he looks back to the road during the dark sky.
Although Terren cannot help himself from smiling for today and even mentally cheered his happiness that he gets to show Puteri a new side of themselves and help people and animals for good deeds. Looks like this year will be amazing after all.
References/ Trivia:
. The reason Puteri and Terren's new class is called D.5 is because I like a similar sound of the term D4C from one of the JoJo Bizarre Adventure's Stands called Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (D4C).
. 25th April update: Before Arzen, his role used to be a crossover character named Zenya from the underrated Japanese anime game Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed. Changed because I think it's a bad idea.
. Keybearer Yuna on Arzen's shirt, and the Keybearer series Terren mentioned, are based on the Disney and Square Enix-crossover video game series Kingdom Hearts. One of the Final Fantasy characters that appeared in the KH series is named Yuna from Final Fantasy X.
. The Magician's Restart anime Arzen mentioned is a reference to the controversial 2017 light novel and anime Redo of Healer. Recommend DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME.
. A-Phone and U-tube are references to iPhone and YouTube.
. Bike Maniac is based on a few motorcycle-related Youtubers such as Moto Madness, Dirtbike Lunatic, and Life on Motorcycle.
- The woman Puteri, Terren, and the cherubs first met is based on one of the videos where a motorcyclist pushes a wheelchair-bound woman through a town.
