Hatred, Cruelty, Vengeance
At night, Naruto and Kikyo arrived at this stone temple and it did confirmed that demons are guarding it...
"No way can we hope to fight all this army alone. I am sensing a graveyard of humans nearby. I'll create us a golem then we'll slip inside while the guards are distracted." Naruto started his plan.
They walked to the graveyard where Kikyo dispatched the two demons with her holy arrows and Naruto commented. "I'm in luck. These graves were dug recently. Now to do some necromancy..."
Naruto focused his powers and raised a gigantic golem filled with bones and flesh arise. Kikyo mused. "We have just desecrated human bones to create this abomination."
"I know. It is merely a distraction so I doubt it'll last long. Come, the golem will catch their attention. We must run to the entrance." Naruto ordered.
The golem did do its job by charging into the entrance and attacking the demons. Soon after that, the entrance was entirely devoid of guards which allowed Naruto and Kikyo to slip in. The golem died after killing eleven demons.
Naruto and Kikyo went inside and entered a library where Naruto commented. "I sense powerful spiritual beings stirring nearby..." Naruto and Kikyo saw the beings as fellow gods as he continued. "Naraku murdered a number of gods posing as human beings when the the demons ravaged this temple. Now their spirits can find no rest. We should hunt them down and bring them peace."
"I will be the one to purify their souls, my Lord." Kikyo tells him.
Naruto found the god of insects and other repulsive animals named Shino. Naruto evaded the insects launched at him then he ended Shino with a stab to the gut. Kikyo used her words to purify Shino of his taint, allowing his soul to be sent to the heavens.
Next stop was Kiba, god and patron to wolves and dogs who Naruto condemned him as a coward and a fool when Kiba told him how he ran away, leaving his fellow gods to be slaughtered. Naruto killed him again and Kikyo cured him with great reluctance as she shared her lord's view of this gods cowardice.
Other gods Naruto killed and Kikyo purified but there came Sasuke and Sakura.
Naruto felt a wave of hate coursing over his being as he looked at the god of lightning and the goddess of love and healing. Kikyo noticed this and asked. "My Lord, shouldn't we purify them? I can sense hate coming from you."
"And we will. Once I deal with these two in my own way..." Naruto said with a dark hate in his voice.
Sasuke said, unsheathing his sword from his cloak. "It's been a long time Naruto."
"Spare me the pleasantries Sasuke. I bet you know why we're here."
Sasuke replied. "You're looking for that staff. Good thing for you it's still there. Sakura here purified it of the taint Naraku brought it at the cost of her own life."
Naruto said mockingly. "How noble. I can show my appreciation in the form of a quick death for the both of you."
Sakura shouted at him. "How could you!? We're your fellow gods!"
Naruto glared at her. "I haven't forgotten what you two did in my mortal life. How you beat me within an inch of my life after my near death from this Pain, how you brought me low at every turn, used me as a punching bag, how you adored Sasuke to the point where you became his fan girl. I don't forget and I don't forgive."
Sakura replied. "Yet, we have ascended to godhood for our deeds! You too Naruto. You lived a peaceful life without us right? Please, out of respect for the bond we once share, have your priestess purify us then we will let you go on your journey."
Naruto laughed but it's a mocking one. "What 'bond' did we have? The bond that I once had for you was crushed repeatedly by you. It's purity defiled and torn by your traitor of a lover."
Sasuke asked, raising an eyebrow. "Have you made your decision?"
Naruto looked at him. "What do you think?"
Sasuke nodded. "So be it."
He then punched Naruto in the face. Naruto blocked the second one and kneed Sasuke's gut. Sakura made a supercharged punch at Naruto's face which it hit and sent him flying. She tried again but Naruto dodged it and slipped out a foot to make her trip.
Naruto barely sensed Sasuke charge at him with his signature Chidori and sidestepped it. He grabbed the offending arm and summoned a branch to hold it in place. He parried the punches Sakura had on him then elbow chopped her on the shoulder.
Sasuke broke free of the branch by blowing fire on it. He tried to strike Naruto with his sword but Naruto summoned a wood barrier to protect him which Sasuke countered with another fire blast. He barely saw Naruto strike him with his own wood crafted staff.
Sword vs staff. Naruto excelled at using it as he countered Sasuke's slash with a smack on his cheek. Sasuke blocked Naruto's next attack with a punch to the side. Naruto swung his staff which Sasuke dodged but he did notice Naruto swing it again and hit his head.
Sasuke stuck his sword in an attempt to hit him but Naruto skillfully disarmed him with his staff. Sasuke tried to grab Naruto's staff but was stopped with a headbutt. Sasuke did managed to punch Naruto in the face and then drop kicked him away before run king to get his sword.
Naruto charged at Sasuke with his staff and Sasuke managed to parry two hits from Naruto but Naruto pushed him into a wall and Sasuke barely tilted his head back to avoid getting his eye pierced by the pointy tip of Naruto's staff.
Sasuke kicked Naruto away and slashed Naruto's cheek but Naruto countered the next strike with a strike to the gut. He then dispelled his staff then decided to do hand to hand combat with Sasuke.
Sasuke parried two punches but Naruto punched him in the gut then did a jump and kicked Sasuke in the back. Sasuke ran away but Naruto is in hot pursuit and tackled him in the ground. Sasuke kicked him in the face to get the man off of him and stood up.
Naruto saw that Sasuke was tiring and used that to his advantage by punching Sasuke in the nose and Sasuke made a weak punch to his face which didn't have an effect at all. Sasuke made a weak backhand but Naruto slapped it away and hit him in the throat. Naruto finished him with an elbow chop to the head, knocking Sasuke out.
Naruto summoned his bo staff again and saw Sakura charge at him with fists extended. Naruto sidestepped and smacked Sakura in the face with the tip of his staff.
Sakura punched Naruto but the man blocked it applied enough power to his next punch Sakura's jaw and twisted her neck to a 180 degree, killing her.
Naruto walk to Sasuke and proceeded to give him a massive beatdown. Naruto punched Sasuke bloody with all the hate, anger and rage he could muster. By the time he was finished, Sasuke's face was bloody and the man would die in the next two seconds if he did not get treatment soon.
Naruto grabbed Sasuke's face and absorbed his powers, lightning and the dojutsu of the Sharingan. He also absorbed Sakura's powers of healing and super strength.
He ordered Kikyo who was as rigid as a statue to cleanse their souls which she did after a second of hesitation.
For a moment there, this new version of her god scared her. Like he was a demon in human skin, how he beat his fellow god bloody to a fraction in an inch of life and how he snapped his fellow goddess' neck without hesitation.
She made a mental note to ask him about it when they have some free time.
Naruto and Kikyo arrived at an area where they saw a statue of a man in church robes holding the staff. Naruto smiled at this and carefully took the staff.
He examined it and carried it carefully like it's made of glass. He told Kikyo who was standing before him. "A Basculus. It is a staff that will allow me to focus my powers at will and cast them." He showed it to Kikyo who examined it.
It appears as a large, metal cross, decorated with crescents and other ornaments such as rings and metal spikes.
"It is something precious, my Lord. It is yours as we have traveled far for it." Kikyo said.
"Indeed. I'd like to use it for a bit of fun as I'd told you before." Naruto replied. "Now, I can tell that you have some questions for me. Let us leave then I'll explain everything."
"Yes, my Lord." Kikyo replied
Naruto and Kikyo left the temple and noticed that the outside outpost was abandoned which made their getaway easier.
