Chapter 2: The Hofstadter Algorithm
We said goodbye to Bernadette, Howard & Raj after a little bit and we hung out with Amy and Sheldon. Eventually we all got tired and the newest nobel laurents returned to their apartment. Penny and I cleaned up, put on pajamas and just laid in bed. We had one of those talks that goes on for hours and hours. We talked about our future and what we might name this kid. Penny did not enjoy my suggestions of Clark, Kent, Luke, Leia, Tony and other superhero or star wars inspired names. I also made certain that Beverly, Alfred and my family's names were out of the running for middle names, at least she agreed on that. We also talked about if we wanted to live in this apartment, and so much more. Eventually the love of my life fell asleep in my arms and I fell asleep in hers shortly after.
Sleep came easily that night. We were jet lagged and it was some of the best sleep I had ever gotten. I feel asleep in Leonard's arms after we had one of our best talks as a married couple. I love him so much. I was in a deep sleep until I woke up the next morning with horrid morning sickness. I moved Leonard's arms off me and ran to the bathroom. Clearly last night's dinner wasn't agreeing with me. Leonard slowly stirred and came to check on me. He immediately got a washcloth, held it on my forehead, and sat behind me rubbing my back. Definitely in the running for husband of the year. Eventually, I got it all out my system and trudged back to the bedroom.
