After about an hour of trekking they came across a site inhabited by a lot of electronic equipment. "Duncan's set up shop about here. What's he doing though?" said Rythian. Zoey examined the computer screens. "Says on this one he was looking for some sort of portal. Nether portal maybe?" Zoey said. Rythian shook his head. "No, if he was looking for a nether portal he could have just built one. Maybe another sort of portal." mused Rythian. Suddenly they saw Teep pointing frantically. "Hide!" Rythian hissed. They hid behind a thick bush. Duncan and a man in a black and green armour emerged from a behind a tree. "That's Sjin!" whispered Zoey. Duncan observed the screens. "The early warning systems went off but there's no one here." He said. Sjin frowned and tapped the screen. "Let's just focus on activating the portal." He said. Rythian drew his sword. "Go in behind" he whispered to Zoey and Teep. Zoey nodded and snuck around the bush. Duncan began typing on the computer. "Alright. I've set up grid points at specific locations. Now it should triangulate the position of those portals." He said. Sjin laughed style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /span"Once we're done, not even Rythian will be able to stop us!" Rythian drew his Thaum sword. He leapt from behind the bush and tackled Duncan. "Sorry guys, whatever you two are planning. It stops now!" Rythian said, pinning Duncan. Sjin raised his arm and the robotic armour above his hand transformed into a muzzle emitting a red light. "Always the bother, Rythian!" he sneered. Zoey and Teep then leapt from behind Sjin. Zoey karate kicked Sjin whilst Teep ran to help with Duncan. "Zoey, the computers!" he shouted. Zoey nodded and using her robotic arm, smashed the style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /span"NO!" screamed Duncan. Sjin roared with fury and aimed his cannon at Rythian. "You've screwed up my plans for the last time, wizard bitch!" he cried. Before Rythian could react, Sjin fired a blast that hit him squarely in the chest. Rythian doubled over. Duncan hammer-fisted a distracted Teep. Sjin raised his other arm and knocked Zoey down. Rythian reached for his sword but Duncan kicked over the edge. Rythian rose and began muttering, his braces starting to glow. Sjin fired three more blasts into Rythian's stomach and hip causing him to cry out and collapse near the edge. Sjin laughed as he approached Rythian. Duncan stood behind him leering. "Oh how I've waited for this, Rythian. It's over." Sjin said, his cannon charging up to deliver the final blow. With his last strength Rythian kicked Sjin crying: "NEVER!" The blow sent Rythian over the edge, as Sjin crashed into Duncan causing them both to stagger back. Sjin's overcharged cannon exploded sending them both screaming over the edge. Zoey ran to where her best friend had fallen. "Rythian!" she called. But there was only silence. /span/p
