Previously on It's Gonna Be a Bright Sunshiny Day:

"Mom! I'm so happy you are ok. I thought I was going to lose you." Henry said, softly crying into the brunette's shoulder.

Regina held him instantly, she had no idea who this kid was, and he just called her 'mother'.

Regina looked at Emma with wide eyes.

"Well, there is a little thing you should know…" Emma said nervously.

CHAPTER THREE

Henry was confused. He stayed in the room with his mother for just a few moments before his other mother asked him to wait outside. Emma said that she was going to explain later, so he guessed it was something she couldn't say in front of his mom. His grandpa David was waiting outside for him.

"Grandpa, I don't think my mother is well.. I mean, she looks the same, but I know there is something wrong." Henry said.

"Don't worry, Henry. Everything's gonna be alright. How about you stay with us for a few days, just until your mother feels better? Emma is surely going to stay with her, to make sure she's really fine, and we always need extra help with Neal. What do you think?" David said, trying to convince the boy.

"Alright." Henry said. He was not really sure about that, but decided to trust his grandpa.

"Alright then, let's go. I will text your mother to let her know." David smiled. He didn't know what was going on either. But he was sure Emma would explain to all of them when she could.

Regina's Room

"What do you mean I have a son?! I can't get pregnant!" Regina said, whispering, so Henry wouldn't hear. If he really was her son, she didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Well… He is biologically mine." Emma said, half smiling. This conversation was probably messing even more with Regina's head.

"Oh, that makes sense. I have good taste, I see." Regina said, winking at Emma, while grabbing her hand, making Emma blush.

"Oh... thanks for that. But what I meant to say is that I gave birth to him, and you adopted him." Emma said, still blushing from the soft caress on her hand.

"Ah, I see.." Regina said, but still kept caressing Emma's hand. "Well, I have a son then." Regina said, smiling. " That has always been my dream."

"I know that." Emma smiled fully now. Softly squeezing Regina's hand. "And he loves you so, so much, Regina. You went through a rough path a few years back, but now you have the best relationship ever."

" How old is he now? 15, 16?"

"He's sixteen, yeah." Emma said, still holding Regina's hand.

They were looking into each other's eyes, and despite Regina not having any memory of this beautiful blonde in front of her, it seemed like she knew her for a long time, and judging by the twist in her stomach every time Emma smiled, her feelings ran deeper than just liking her. Well, Regina thought, if my old self didn't do anything about it, I sure as hell will.

The moment was ruined by Whale, that after a knock on the door, made his entrance. Emma let go of Regina's hand, and immediately Regina felt pissed at him.

"Regina, Emma." He said, greeting them both. "I'm just passing by to let you know visit time is over, if you want you can stay here with Regina tonight." He said smiling and Emma was sure he was thinking about something dirty. "As for Regina, I was looking at your chart. You are recovering very fast, you probably have to thank Blue for that. Let's see how you're going to wake up tomorrow, and maybe, just maybe, I will discharge you.

"Oh that's good! Thanks Whale." Emma said, while Regina had a confused look on her face.

"Alright then, I'll leave you to it. See you tomorrow." And just like that he left.

"Are you ok?" Regina heard Emma asking her.

"Yes. Who is Blue?"

"Hm, what is the last thing you remember?" Emma asked.

"I don't remember anything too concrete, just flashes. Am I going crazy? I mean, I have flashes of me in fancy dresses, inside a castle… riding horses… I remember Whale from somewhere too, but I can't really put my finger on it." Regina said, looking very confused, her eyes pleading for Emma to tell her the truth.

"Well… I think it's gonna be a long night." Emma started, with a small smile. "First of all, you are not crazy. Second, I will tell you everything, but you need to promise me you'll tell me if you feel overwhelmed you will tell me and we can stop for a bit. Deal?"

With a heavy sign Regina agreed with a nod.

"I'm just going to make a call, to let my parents and Henry know I'll stay here with you and I'll be right back." Emma said, and left the room.

Regina took that time to breathe a little bit. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, flashes of a life forgotten still passing through her eyes. She was glad she had Emma, and even more so that she was willing to tell her her own story. Amnesia is a bitch, Regina thought, but at least I'll have Emma by my side. That second thought made Regina smile.

A few moments later, Emma was back, informing Regina that her parents had Henry for the night and Regina smiled again.

Emma pulled the chair in the room close to the bed so she could stay close to the brunette while she told the story.

"Well.. let me just start by saying that I'm going to sound fucking crazy, but I promise I'm not lying to you."

Regina grabbed Emma's hand and smiled. "I don't know why, but I trust you, Emma. So come on, tell me my story."

They were both exhausted by the time Emma was finished. So much information was passed on to Regina, and there were times where she needed a break. Emma tried to shorten the story, letting out some parts where she thought weren't necessary. Like when Regina erased Henry's memories, when she was 100% sure that Regina was jealous of her and tinkerbell when they were in Neverland, how Emma caught her parents in bed when they returned from Neverland, and specially, she didn't tell Regina she was going to get married.

Emma told herself it was just because this wasn't such important information.. But deep inside she knew she had other motives. Like, she liked when Regina flirted with her, this new side of her was interesting, and she liked how she felt when Regina did it. It was much more than she ever felt with Hook.. but she was not ready to get there yet.

After a few moments of silence, Emma looked up and saw that Regina had fallen asleep. Emma smiled and rested her head on Regina's bed. Thank God she's ok. That was the last thought on her mind, before closing her eyes. She meant to just rest for a few minutes, but she ended up falling into a deep sleep.
