Chapter 3
When Cassius's last year at Hogwarts started, he knew he still wanted to be like his father.
In charge of his life, friendly enough to everyone, respected by his peers and colleagues, loved by a woman who stood by his side, and who knew what his future was going to be like.
And then he became Hogwarts Champion, and he could taste the life of fame on the tip of his tongue.
And then Harry Potter's name was pulled out of the Goblet of Fire. And any ounce of respect he had for The Boy Who Lived went out the door.
Cassius was so angry that he was planning ways to sabotage Harry Potter during the tournament.
When he and Potter walked out together, Cassie was sitting with Malfoy, her cousin.
"Harry -" Cassie stood up.
Seeing her hair different shades hurt Cassius, but he was still focused on his anger towards Potter.
When he watched Potter walk around Cassie, he was confused so he stopped next to the girl.
"He didn't put his name in the Goblet." Cassie said with a defeated sigh.
Cassie gave a disbelieving grunt.
"I really do hope you win the Tournament. Slytherin could use some good light on it." Cassie told the Slytherin Champion.
He looked at Cassie in surprise.
"I'm the only Gryffindor rooting for you, Warrington." Cassie looked up at him.
Cassius' heart started to beat just a little harder.
He gave a single nod and walked away, not wanting to give away his emotions.
He heard Malfoy following behind him, but he didn't know what to say to the boy so they walked in silence.
This is a ridiculously short chapter and I am sorry!
