"You really won't say anything?" Levi was wary of him now. They ended the session short, due to the awkwardness of Eren finding out that Levi was into drugs.
It was also partially because Levi was close to a raging boner of how physically close and personal he was with Eren. Damn his hormones! It had been a long while since Levi had gotten laid.
"I made a promise that I won't." Eren assured, almost smiling at how cute Levi was for being so insecure. The way his lips almost formed a pout, but remained stubbornly as any uninterested and bored teenager would be. It really mistook a thirty year old as someone younger.
"Very well then." Levi left it at that.
It took some time around for them to see each other again. Eren with his job and Levi avoided him as much as he could. Yet the longer he remained free, the more he was beginning to believe a cop was good on his word for once.
And slowly Levi began his descent into wanting that muscular body. It got to the point he began to have vivid dreams. Random scenarios that left him all hot and bothered.
Within half a year their deal caught some unwanted attention after Eren made several breakthroughs in cases Eren was now known to have a mole in his ranks, but refused to inform anyone who it was or explain how he managed to befriend someone in the criminal side of the law.
Meanwhile Levi began to sense those around him that they were all nervous. The cops were getting too good. They were beginning to suspect someone was tipping them off. Being extra paranoid Levi decided to up his guard. It would have looked suspicious if everyone else he knew that was dealing wasn't doing the same.
Then came the day Eren sneaked his way over.
"Do you have a home to live in? It would be easier to find you."
Levi had been dozing off for a quick nap in the warm sun at a park. At the voice he was startled, and almost sprinted out of there. Quickly he rationalized himself that it was only Eren, that he didn't make a run for it. He glared up at the detective. At least he had the decency to dress up as a normal person, not prance around in his uniform.
"Actually, couldn't you tell? I'm homeless." Levi deadpanned.
"Wait, really? I'm so sorry to ask."
"Relax, I do it by choice. I make enough to get something. It wouldn't be luxurious, but I could afford it if I wanted."
"Then why stay outside?" Eren raised an eyebrow.
"Reasons that are my own. You just so happen to the only person I allow to see me on the regular." It was better off the less the detective knew, the better. It was safest, being on the run.
"Listen, I need some info about a gang that's been acting up recently."
"Which one?" Technically everyone has grown noisy last couple of days. Levi didn't pay them much attention.
"Death's Jesters. Heard of them?" Eren was straight to the point. He was going to say more when he noticed how pale Levi went at the name. "I take it you're not on good terms?"
"..." Levi glances around with his eyes, now paranoid. "Not here."
"I know of a restaurant - "
"Sounds like a date. Let's go. First, you're not recording, right?" Levi used this as an excuse to eye him up and down. Damn the eye candy.
"I swear on my dead mother's grave." Eren swore.
"Good, because I won't be writing anything down."
Earlier That Day
"You want me to do what?" Eren was at a loss. "Isn't that a waste of resources?"
"If this mole is as skittish as you say, I need everything we can use against this gang. If he's heard something, then we need all the information." Commissioner Erwin remained firm on his decision.
"I take it you'll be listening in." The brunette suddenly grew nervous.
"Myself and Hange will be in the van. We will send in Armin and Mikasa as back up if a situation comes up."
"I haven't had much luck finding him last couple of days." Eren frowned. This was all excuses, for he didn't want to break Levi's trust.
"Then we will search with you until you locate him." Erwin wasn't giving up.
"... Fine." The young detective gave in. If only he knew that luck would be on his side.
