I'MBAAAAAACK WITH A NEW UPDATEE!

Harry woke up with a start and stared at his surroundings. He started to panic for a split second before it all came back to him. He ran away. Now that Harry thought back to it, running away was a very stupid decision. At least while he stayed at Privet Drive, he had a shelter over his head. Maybe not often, but he did sometimes have the opportunity of eating once in a while. Harry tilted his head at started up at the sky. The night was cloudless, and he had to admit- a little chilly as well.

He glanced at the curled-up snake next to him. Guilt suddenly struck him. I brought Nagini into this... he thought. Harry knew he couldn't stay under this tree forever. So he softly shook Nagini awake- much to the snake's annoyance, and stood up. It seemed like the middle of night so he didn't know if he should continue on his road yet. "We ssshould continue on our path masster" Nagini said.

"But where ssshould I go?"

"Hmmm... good quessstion."

"An orphanage?" Harry asked sadly. He really had nowhere else to go.

"I do not like the idea, but it isss the ssafesst option, master" Nagini agreed.

Harry silently sighed. "Orphanage it is then".

...

Harry had been walking what felt like hours. He didn't know where he was going, but he hoped luck would be on his side and he would find someone to point him to the right direction. Harry wasn't anywhere near rural area anymore. After walking for about an hour he had finally made his way into the city. Harry felt a bit overwhelmed. There were trolleys bumping up and down on the cobblestone road, men in suits and coats rushing through the streets obviously running late for something. The loud blare of horns almost deafened him.

Well, a city in London is really no place for a seven year old- he thought dryly. The people he passed seemed to think the same as they gave him both concerned, and dirty looks. Harry just looked down and picked up his pace.

Nagini was currently in his bag again, and was most likely asleep. Harry still felt guilty for dragging Nagini into this whole mess... He thought that all the moving of him walking must be uncomfortable for her, so he decided to get some rest- it was the least he could do. Harry soon found a dark alley where he thought he might be able to catch his breath for a little while.

He set his bag down on the ground and heard an irritated hiss from inside. He slid down to the gravel, his back resting against the stone wall. Harry sighed and closed his eyes- 'This is going to be a long day' he thought.

He must have dozed off since he woke up to the sound of footsteps. "What's a kid like you doin here?" he heard a gruff voice say. Harry tried to urgently open his eyes and blink the sleep out of them. Before he could react, a strong hand grabbed the collar of his shirt and he was lifted off the ground. Harry was now fully awake and filled with panic.

He came face to face with a quite frightening middle aged man. The man had large muscles and tattoos on every body part that was visible, along with horrid scars across his face. "A pretty face like that'll get me a hefty sum" the man continued, now fully inspecting him. Harry tried to wriggle out of the man's grasp but it was close to impossible. 'Was he going to sell him?!' Harry thought with fear coursing through his veins. The man tightened his grip on Harry's collar, his nails digging into his collar bone.

Harry shut his eyes tight in fear. Its better if I don't see what happens. It's going to happen anyway, Harry thought. As the man started to go on his way there was a loud BANG and Harry was thrown back about twenty feet. Harry fluttered his eyes open in surprise. He saw the man on the gravel, quite spaced from him. Harry walked closer despite knowing how dangerous it could be. The details on the man's face started to become more visible and that's when Harry noticed the thin line of crimson blood trailing down his face. What happened? Harry thought in disbelief.

'Did I do that?'

'Is he alive?'

'Should I run?'

Harry was too deep in thought to notice the man on the floor stirring and slowly opening his eyes. Harry was thinking of what he should do when suddenly he felt something sharp and cold embed itself into his shoulder.

He felt warm liquid slowly slide down his thin arm.

He felt the sharp stinging taking over his right arm.

Harry then felt the object sharply jerk itself out his arm, and despite himself, he let out a cry of pain. He turned with much difficulty and noticed the man now fully conscious holding a sharp and bloody kitchen knife. The pain in Harry's shoulder took time to get settled. Now, white hot pain shot through every nerve and muscle on his arm.

Harry quite didn't know what to do anymore. So he said the only thing that was on his mind to the man.

"Die"

Suddenly the man stiffened and fell backwards landing on the gravel with a muffled THUD. Harry walked closer, holding arm closely to his chest trying to ignore the throbs of pain. The man's eyes seemed to be glazed over... staring into nothingness.

One this was for sure-. The man was dead. 'serves him right' Harry thought.

Harry decided that the alley was, surprisingly, not a safe place for a seven year old. 'Really, who'd have thought' . He decided not to tell Nagini about this little fiasco. Ofcourse, there would be the wound in the shoulder. Harry decided to just cover it up with his sleeve. It couldn't be that bad... could it?

As he walked out of the dark alley way, the sudden crowd of city hit him. sigh. Back to this, he thought.

Ok, I know this chapter is really short (sorrryyy). But I was desperate to get something out. SOO the next chapter is going to definitelybe much longer. I would really appreciate a review to see how I'm doing. Byee!
