A/N: We get some Wreck-It-Ralph characters in this chapter!
"Good day, my dear chap! They call me Golden Freddy, or, as the esteemed Scott Cawthon called me-yellow bear. I am more colloquially known as Goldie, or 'G.F.', in a pinch. Call me whatever you like. I am standing outside my arcade game's port with none other than dear old Withered Chica, more colloquially known as simply Chica, and very briefly-"
"Excuse me, Goldie, but could you pipe down for a minute? I'm trying to concentrate."
"Sorry…"
"Thanks...So Freddy wants us to ask around and see if anybody's seen BB. Since you can teleport, I was thinking you could?"
"Of course, of course! You know how much I do love teleporting! Off I pop…
...Dagnabbit. I spotted some people that I wanted to try talking to, but they ran away when they saw me. Well, I am designed to be quite eerie. Hmmm. Hmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Oh, I know! My creator designed my ilk and I to be particularly unsettling due to our 'uncanny' valley. Hence, I should find other characters with nonhuman and nonstandard designs. Ahhh! A little purple car! Excuse me, young lady, might I-"
"WHY DOES EVERYBODY THINK I'M A GIRL!?"
"Oh, dear. Well, I'm very sorry I-"
"I MEAN MY VOICE IS ONE THING, BUT SERIOUSLY! YOU DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT ME!"
"Please forgive me. I'm Golden Freddy. What's your name?"
"Putt-Putt."
"Charmed, Putt-Putt. May I ask you a few questions?"
"Sure. Ol' Fattybear isn't back from taking his usual begging route."
"Oh! You're friends with a bear?"
"Eeeyup. We hosted a little anthology of games that we played with the kids. Checkers, Go-Fish, you name it. Well, not anymore...as you can see."
"How fortuitous! I am a bear!"
"..."
"..."
"But as I was saying, I was wondering-might I ask you a few questions?"
"Like I said. Why not?"
"Have you seen a small figurine, resembling a boy, clad in blue and red?"
"Blue and red, huh? Nope."
"Oh. Are you sure? He's been missing for two days."
"Two days! Golly! I hadn't heard!"
"Well, heh-heh, that's...that's...Have you seen him two days ago, good chap?"
"Uh-uh. You said he had red and blue?"
"Yes. He has a red and blue striped shirt. And he must have been holding a yellow balloon with a red stripe, and a sign. He's actually quite easy to spot, but he's so quiet when he's not in the games, it's easy to overlook him."
"Mr. Goldie, I'm pretty sure I would remember seeing this guy. He looks like he would stand out like a sore thumb!"
"After leaving Putt-Putt, I find myself standing in the middle of the central station, lost in thought. Our terminal situated near the right end with the main hallway, so that means that wherever BB went, or-perish the thought-was taken, it wasn't past where Putt-Putt had situated himself. I made a note of which games that would be, and hurried back to withered-errr, Chica. She likes being called just Chica the best."
"Well, according to my source, BB didn't pass any of the games on our side of Game Central-Tappers, Hero's Duty, Frogger, Ms. Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man, Battlezone, Super Mario Bros., Dig Dug, and Fix-It Felix."
"Perfect! That matches what my sources said. Well, I mean, I didn't get as far as you...and nobody said...they saw..."
"Although...our area is still pretty large. Chin up, my good lady! We'll find him. I know we will."
"It is what it is! We can narrow it down more, right?"
"Oh, indeed! Well, our rotation ends soon."
"Hey, over there! I see two people near us! Let's go and-"
"I'm on it! I'll just teleport over!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
*BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM*
"You're very lucky, my good lady, that I am of the incorporeal sort. That means that-"
"I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS YOU FREAK, AND IF YOU EVER SCARE MY HUSBAND LIKE THAT AGAIN I'LL FIND SOME OTHER WAY TO MAKE SURE YOU EAT MY BULLETS LIKE YOU DESERVE!"
"Charmed, I'm sure. Now, could you please answer my questions?"
"I don't owe you anything!"
"Now, Tammy, sweetheart, can't we just see what he wants?"
"Felix, this jerk needs to learn how to behave. Did you forget how he made you scream just now?"
"Ahaha, well, yes…"
"Please, Miss, it's a very desperate situa-"
"So desperate you just gotta appear like you own the place?"
"Tammy…"
"...Look, just be safe, Felix. OK? And you! Yellow bear! Felix is more than you deserve. MAKE IT SNAPPY!"
"...Tammy's a good soul. And you did startle me."
"One of our own has gone missing."
"Missing? Like, turbo?"
"Turbo?"
"It's a long story..."
"What my husband is trying to say is, do y'think this BB abandoned his game?"
"Oh! Well, we have nothing to worry about there. Our Balloon Boy was always the terribly shy sort. Always hiding on the way to the office and all. He was so very good about hiding in plain sight-"
"Wait-Balloon Boy? Office? Are you Five Nights at Freddy's?"
"Indeed!"
"Are you sure BB wouldn't go turbo? None of us saw turbo's betrayal coming."
"He'd never! I think it would be more in character of little Balloon Boy to have wandered a bit too far away and have gotten lost."
"Oh, how old is he?"
"Not sure. He's quite small."
"Does he usually wander?"
"Mmmm...I didn't see much of the boy, but...no. I can't say he did. You'd have to talk to Foxy or
Mangle, they knew him better than anyone."
"Did he have a fight with anybody?"
"No! He scarcely made a peep when he was in the game-ironic that he's one of the few whose allowed to speak during open hours-I did see him chatting bit, from time to time, with Mangle and Foxy, but those three all got along famously!"
"Are you really sure? Because I know of this one game where all the characters seemed real sweet but hoo boy there was a major bullying problem-"
"You don't understand! I am sorry to say that you only have my word that I would not stoop to such fiendish squabbling and harassment-us withered are adults of impeccable character-and as for the toys, well...Fred is...not quite all there, I'm afraid, he doesn't have it in him to hurt a fly! And Tochi is so good about looking after Fred-she may be blunt as an old spoon, but-"
"Alright! Alright! I understand! BB is lost! What can I do?"
"Keep an eye out for him, and tell me anything about what you might know. Good day!"
A/N: Putt-Putt and Fatty-bear is a real game that I played when I was a kid. And yes, I did 100% think that Putt-Putt was a girl for a period.
