If someone would have asked them a few months ago they would end up where they are now the two of them would have called them crazy.
But here they are now... on a warm summer day... about to get married.

Levi sighed, standing.. well rather sitting in his wheelchair in front of a big mirror. He tched in annoyance struggling for the upmost time to put on his white cravat. Hanji had told him she kinda missed seeing him wear one so Levi had decided to to wear one for their wedding. He especially ordered a new one since he had lost all of his old ones aling with almost everything else in Paradise. They had thrown away almost everything they owned as saviors or rather betrayers. The only thing Levi managed to save with some help from his old squad was a Survey corps cape and a wooden box he had stored away in his desk drawer. The box had contained drawings from Moblit... the only thing that kept him going sometimes... the images of everyone he had lost... especially her. It was a drawing of smiling Hanji. He would never forget her looks and remember her laugh and cheerfulness. At least this is how he felt back than whenever he traced with his fingers over the image. But Hanji didn't die.
She survived and was right here... going to be his officially soon. It was only a matter of time now.

"Levi-san are you ready? Everyone is here and ready."

Stepping inside the room was Falco. He was assigned to pick Levi up. In the meanwhile Gabi and Onyakopon were with Hanji.

"Almost brat. Besides is Hanji even here already? I know I assigned two people to her to make sure she is not forgetting her own wedding but-"

Feeling suddenly someone turn his wheelchair around, Levi stopped talking. Getting on his knees Falco reached out and took the two cravat ends from Levi, tying it for him. Levi's frown was ignored as he dropped his hands onto his lap in resignation, letting the brat do it for him.

"Hanji-san is here already actually. Everyone is waiting just for you. She was the one sending me to you, being worried you would 'roll away into the distance'" he quoted her words to which Levi had to roll his eyes and frown even more if this was even possible.

"This should be my line stupid shitty glasses. Who was the one disappearing for 3whole years."

Chuckling Falco checked if the cravat was not too tight and nodded satisfied before he got back up on his feet.

"I think that's why she is very stressed right now. According to Gabi she could barely sleep yesterday and is awake since a long time. Onyakopon arrived to pick them up, worrying he would disturb them getting ready since he arrived very early only to find them already ready to go."

Listening to Falco, Levi nodded. It would have been a lie if he said he was not bit surprised. The Braun Family had taken in Hanji yesterday evening to let her sleep with Gabi. Hanji insisted that they should at least do one thing right in their chaotic life and be separated on the night before their wedding.
Levi was cranky the whole day not happy with her decision because frankly speaking he didn't care at all about these traditions. Yes, he was the one asking to marry him in bed, in the morning, without a ring because it was more a slip of tongue after he woke up and watched Hanji sleep next to him. And all he felt was content and happiness filling his before empty heart, he had missed this since over 3years. So while he hugged her bare body close to his from behind and had his head buried in her brown hair he mumbled 'marry me' in his half drowsy and getting back to sleep mode.
As her body shifted and she gave him this radiant smile before she mouthed "yes" it was decided. They would get married and be one of those traditional's sappy couples.
A few hours later the two went into town, with Hanji pushing his wheelchair like she always did ever since she came back. She insisted despite Levi telling her not to. In the end he let her. Levi got her a silver ring and put it on her finger to seal the deal.

Afterwards as soon as the news leaked to Gabi and Falco first and next to Onyakopon every day changed drastically and their peaceful days were gone.
Gabi leaked the info to Reiner which leaked the info to the others.

"But we had planned to just sign some papers at the courthouse."

Was all Hanji had said before Gabi and Falco looked as shocked as a deer looking into the car lights before getting hit.

"You cannot do that! You deserve a real wedding at a church! Right Falco? Say something too will you!?"

"Uhm well.. Gabi... don't you think it is their decision-"

Puffing her cheeks, Gabi shoved Falco lightly in a disapproving manner. Her adorable face made the younger teen cheeks turn red in return and turn quiet.

Levi watched the scene from the corner of his eyes while he sipped on his tea and continued reading his morning news paper. That boy had already lost. He knew it all too well... eyes that could make him unable to say no to anything in the end.

"Give up brat. I don't mind either way. It's Hanji's decision."

"But Levi-san! Don't you want to see Hanji-san in a white wedding dress at least? It's your only chance now. My dad used to say he was mesmerized at the sight as mother walked down the aisle to him... all males should feel this way no?" She grumbled her thoughts out loud, crossing her arms over her chest and was sulking.

Gabi didn't pay notice the red face Hanji had now and the effect of her words.
Carefully darting her brown chocolate eyes to Levi, Hanji smiled nervously seeing Levi have a faint visible blush on his cheeks as well, desperately trying to hide it behind his newspaper however.

In the end Hanji had gotten a white wedding dress ans Gabi was more than pleased.
She herself pushed Onyakopon to help find them a location. A small chapel was available they could use without gaining much outsider attention. Since not many people would attend it was more than enough for them. Just Levi's old squad, Pieck, Reiner, Annie, Gabi, Falco and Onyakopon and Hanji's saviors Kiyomi and the family she stayed at for a while, her best friend Asuna, her husband and child.
A priest was hired and the decoration, flowers and organization was all done by Gabi and Falco with the help of Reiner as adult and the Braun family.
Gabi insisted since she admired Levi over the years and wanted to see him happy. Levi felt reminded of Isabel or Eren... in his young days... as they were all still this innocent and looking up at him.
Hanji found it adorable and teased him more than once about it.

Back to the present. Levi had arrived at the chapel. They truly had gone all out. The red carped to the aisle and all of the benches had white ribbons with red roses ornaments on them.

"You like it?" Falco asked a bit nervous. It was all a surprise until now for the wedding couple.

Looking around Levi gave it a nod as Falco pushed him to the altar and placed him to his position. "Not bad. So I guess we will start soon?"

"We will start soon. I will call everyone inside to take their seat and take a quick last check on Hanji-san. I can leave you here, right Levi-san?"

"Just go already. I won't run away." Shooing the boy away Levi took a deep breath and took in once again where he was standing right now. A chapel. For his wedding. With Hanji Zoe as his bride and soon wife.

The guests came inside a few minutes later and everyone smiled and waved at Levi before they took their seat. Annie and Armin of course as couple arrived together. Levi sighed seeing everyone dressed up nicely despite having being told to not dress up too much. Yet here everyone was wearing a suit and every woman wore a nice dress.A light blue dress for Annie and a dark blue suit for Armin. Connie wore a gray suit and Jean wore a dark brown suit. Mikasa wore a dark red dress... matching her red scarf, Eren's scarf.
Pieck wore a dark green dress and sat next to Jean and Connie while Jean looked more than a little disappointed that Mikasa sat ok the other side of Armin with Annie together. The guy should finally move on Levi thought. Mikasa didn't bat an eye to him even after so many years. Reiner wore a light brown suit and sat with Gabi, Falco together. Gabi wore a yellow cute dress and Falco a gray suit. Onyakopon was missing Levi noticed. He wondered why. Was there a problem with Hanji? He hoped not.

All of the sudden Levi heard footsteps approaching. Turning his head to the right Levi saw the priest coming.

"Mr. Ackerman we are ready sir."

"I see. Please begin then and thank you for doing this." Levi paused picking his next words wisely. "I'm aware you know who we are... Yet you didn't send our request away. Thank you from me and my.. future wife once again."

The priest gave Levi a gentle smile. "God does not judge us. We are both human Mr. Ackerman. I am merely a tool to give you both gods blessing."

Levi looked taken aback and felt the priest place his hand on his shoulder.

"God knows what sacrifices you made. If not for these we would be not here today" removing his hand again and walking behind the altar the priest continued. "Now let us start shall we Mr. Ackerman?"

They didn't wanted any music or anything more cheesy than they already had.
So as the priest called for the bride to come in the door got opened by none other than Onyakopon wearing a black suit.
Not that Levi paid the guy much attention, his eyes were glued on the woman in white next to him. Smiling brightly like the sun even if a lightly shyly with a rosy cheeks adoring her cheeks.
She was breathtaking. Her white wedding dress went down to the floor and hugged her curves just right. It was a strapless dress and she wore silk white gloves. Up to her upper arm.
She held a bouquet of pink or red roses in her hands, the same flowers which were used as decoration. Her brown hair were put up into a neat bun with a weil attached on in her hair and a roses flower gown. Her eye patch was white matching her wedding dress.
Her lips were a rosy pink, light make up on her face. Her scars were a lot less visible see Levi noticed. Hanji had told him she learned how to hide them well using make up.
He had told her she didn't need to hide them but Hanji felt different. At least on some days she wanted to hide them. Perhaps this was her feminine side coming out and her being insecure about her own body.
Even to him she always looked so surprised whenever Levi showed her how beautiful she was. It seemed like he had to work on her for a while longer however they had all the time they wanted now.

Any words Levi had were stuck in his throat.
Gabi was right he would have slapped himself if he had missed this sight
Grabbing the arm rest on his wheelchair he used his upper arms and pushed himself up to stand.
Carefully and with light shaking legs he managed to stand onto them.
This wasn't in the strict. It was something he had decided on just now. It was costing him a lot of strength but this was a small price if this meant he could stand right besides her. At least until their wedding vows were done and they were husband and wife.

Hanji gasped. The flowers forgotten she rushed the last few steps up to him to catch him but Levi held his hand up and shook his head.

"Levi what are you doing?"

"It's fine. I can stand on the same spot at least long enough until we are wedded."

Her concerned expression slowly vanished understanding what he did and why.
A small smile beginning to grace her lips. Standing besides him she hooked her arm around his torso and grinned. Levi scowled but didn't pushed her arm away. Shaking his head and sighed instead keeping his head ahead to the priest.

"I will keep you steady. Lean on me for support if you need me." She said and turned her gaze to the amused smiling priest.

Support... this was just like them. Through thick and thin. Gender roles didn't matter for them. Sneaking his arm around he put it around her slim torso as well. They would always support each other. Mentally ans physically.

Their vows were made.
Their rings were exchanged. Simply silver rings but again exactly just like them. A blue and white stone on each ring... a symbol for the wings of freedom.

"Do you Levi Ackerman want to take Hanji Zoe as your wife through thick and thin support each other until death do you apart?"

Levi smiled. "I do and beyond death. This woman here I won't be able to get rid of even after I passed away."

Hanji chuckled wholeheartedly.
The priest looked a little perplex but seeing all guests laugh as well and the bride smiling from ear to her he continued.

"Do you Hanji Zoe want to take Levi Ackerman as your husband through thick and thin until death do you not apart?"

Hearing the priest have adjusted his speech made Hanjj only cheer happily. "I do! I will follow him until the end of earth!"

More quiet laughs were head in the the back and the priest coughed and showed everyone to please quiet down.

"I pronounce you now husband and wife. You may kiss the bride now."

Levi didn't needed to hear anything else. Reaching out into her bun he pulled her down enough to press his lips against hers. Gently and lovingly.

Cheers were heard and claps. Helping Levi back into his wheelchair she already moved behind him to push him out the small chapel and laughing. Levi was protesting but Hanji ignored him.

"I told you I would from now on always push your wheelchair. Deal with him darling."

Darling. He felt his face grow hot and all complains turned deaf. Damn this woman spatting some embarrassing shit out in public.

They had a party outside in the garden. Hanji cut the wedding cake with Levi together and smeared some white cream on his face laughing loudly at his disgusted and disapproving face he made. He wanted to spat at her and scold her however seeing her this happy he couldn't do it.
This was their wedding day.
For their wedding day his wife was having a free pass. He would allow her everything. Every shenanigan as long as it didn't endanger anyone.

Leaning over Hanji licked his cheek and clean him up.
She even forced him to dance with her. Or how much you could dance in a wheelchair at least. Levi felt stupid but Hanji ensured him everything was fine as she swayed around the music and pushed him a bit around, telling him to only look at her.
He wished he could dance normally with her... how he used to dance with her a few times during the balls to gain funds for the Survey Corps. He was a good dancer but that was in the past. Now all he might be able to do was stand on the spot or jump a bit around on one leg. Which would look ridiculous.

Hanji throwing her flower bouquet became one of the most surprising entertaining events and it was all due to Hanji's smart and calculated shemming. The only one being involved in her plan was of course Levi.

"Okay girls line up for the bouquet throwing event. No one is allowed to chicken out." The bride ordered, watching with delight how all girls stood there in a row.

Mikasa looked not interested obviously, in fact no one did.
The guys on other hand were on the edge. Armin was blushing lightly, same as Jean. Falco talked with Reiner he completely didn't pay any attention to this yet.

"Ready?" Hanji asked everyone grinning and faced them with her back, ready to throw it.
But than she suddenly turned around on her heels and walked up to them and handing to flowers into none other than Gabi Braun's hands. "I changed my mind. I am not throwing them. I am sure someone in the back here will be very happy to be next in line after he already proposed to you a few years ago.

"Eh? Ehh? Hanji-san!?" Gabi face comically turned redder and redder until she was tomato read.

Hanji laughed loudly and winked at Falco as she passed him by and patted him on the shoulder before she pointed to the direction to where Gabi was still standing with almost steam coming out of her head.
Falco saw the bouquet and began blushing badly.
Having done her deed the bride made her way to her husband which gave her a light smirk.

"I think you broke them four eyes."

"Call it a little bit payback for embarrassing us a few times at home. Besides they make such a cute couple. I am only speeding things up a little."

"If you say so. I think you only want to plan their wedding after what they did of us."

"Maybe. And I want to see her suffer in those high heeled shoes too. My feet hurt. Levi let me take a rest. Hold me."

Without further warning Hanji had planted her ass already onto Levi's lap and sat onto him sideways with her legs dangling down on his left side, as if he was carrying her bridal style just that she was comfortably sitting between the gap between his legs he made for her. Slinging her arms around his neck she leaned closer so her head was able to comfortably resting against his chest and shoulder.

"Oi... I'm not your human chair."

Despite his complains his grip around her torso tightened, holding her as close and secure as possible.

Leaning closer, titling her head enough to reach his face, Hanji ignored the cheers from her guests and kissed Levi on his lips to silence him.

"I will make it up to you and carry you over our doorstep like a good married couple should." Hanji grinned teasingly

At this she received a groan from her husband.
Unfortunately knowing her, it would happen. Levi just hoped no one saw them when she would despite his none consent carry him bridal style into the house and high lickely straight to the bedroom to consume their marriage. Levi Ackerman was at least looking forward to this. Having his wife Hanji Ackerman all for himself.

This was only their new beginning of their journey together.

This was their happy ending.
