Kara couldn't believe it. She had just had an impromptu date with Lena Luthor! Even though the brunette had introduced herself as Hayley, Kara was 100% sure it was Lena. She could recognise her among thousands of light-eyed brunettes. Lena was rather unique. Kara hadn't wanted to show her that she knew who she was, she figured that if she had a secret identity for when she wasn't at work, there must have a good reason for it. The reason also seemed fairly obvious. Kara understood the need to hide who a person was, because if you think about it, Kara Danvers is just a cover. She uses her cover more than her real identity but it's still a cover.

Kara needed to talk about it, right away. So she went to Alex's house as fast as she could, taking a taxi. When she arrived at Alex's, she opened the door with her key, having used her r-x vision beforehand to make sure she didn't interrupt anything with Maggie. Alex was surprised to see Kara arrive like that. Kara went to join Alex on the sofa. Alex looked at her confused as she saw that her sister looked...radiant and happy.

"Are you okay?" Alex asked.

"Oh yes! I'm more than okay! I just ate Chinese ravioli in front of a beautiful girl on an impromptu date, so yes, I'm definitely fine!" Kara said without letting go of her big smile.

"What? Go ahead and tell me all about it now!" Alex said more alert than ever.

Kara explained her 'accident' to Alex, who had just been laughing at her sister, as always. Then she told her about the impromptu 'date' with someone called Hayley.

"But actually, I know her, I mean I quickly realised that 'Hayley' was just a cover. She was actually Lena Luthor, like my boss. She was undercover so she wouldn't draw attention!" Kara said not realising what she had just told Alex. Suddenly Alex came down quickly and strongly from her cloud.

"Lena Luthor? So you're telling me, not only is your boss hitting on you, but the sister of the most Kryptonian-hating man on Earth, what? Take you out on a date? Go out with you? Are you out of your mind or WHAT!" Alex yelled.

"So first of all, Lena isn't Lex. And then I do what I want. Yes, she's my boss, and why does it matters? This isn't the first time and it won't be the last time this has happened, there's a thing called Human Resources in a company you know? And I'm pretty sure she doesn't care if I'm a Kryptonian or not," Kara snapped, annoyed by her sister's behaviour.

"When she finds out, she'll kill you. Pretty simple. And if you think Clark's going to get along with that, you're in trouble, poor thing." Alex sneered.

"I didn't come to Metropolis to have someone choose for me who I can and can't be around. Neither you, nor Kal-El, are going to tell me who I can and cannot see!" Kara was really annoyed by the situation, she was hoping for some compassion from her sister.

"Okay, okay, I'll leave you alone, Clark will give his opinion anyway, I don't think I need to be against it knowing that Clark will never let it happen." Alex concluded.

"We'll see about that!" Kara took it as a challenge. She wanted to see Lena again, if she was told no on top of that, they were going to see how much she was going to see the brunette!

Kara turned on her heels, and walked out of her sister's flat. She was tired, from her day, but also tired from this mess. She had hoped it would go better and was really afraid of Superman's reaction to it. She went straight home, took a shower and crawled under the bed without setting an alarm. Tomorrow was Saturday so she didn't need to wake up for work. She was happy and sad not to be working, happy because she would be resting, and sad because she would not get to see the beautiful green-eyed brunette. Kara fell into a deep sleep dreaming of pretty green eyes.

Lena - After dinner

Lena had to meet Sam for the evening. She called her driver so that he could drive her to her friend's place. Once at Sam's flat, Lena opened the door with her key, which Sam had given her years ago. Lena was lost in her thoughts, she didn't know if this whole thing was a good idea or not...she really liked the blonde, and she was really intrigued by her, but she also felt that it would change her whole life. For better or worse...and Lena couldn't stand the worse...she had already suffered enough with her family and her old relationships. Lena walked back into the living room, she saw Sam sitting on the couch working on her computer, mostly L-Corp related stuff. Sam was a fantastic CFO, as well as being a loyal and fun friend. When Sam noticed the brunette's presence, she motioned for her to come and sit next to her. Lena did so. Sam put her computer on the coffee table and turned to Lena.

"Still in disguise?" Sam laughed.

"Oh.." Lena looked at herself, she had totally forgotten that she wasn't herself. "Yes, I went out to eat, that explains this" she said pointing to her outfit.

"Outside? Lena Luthor, what's going on with you? Since when do you eat out ?" Sam worried falsely.

"AHA, you're the first one to want me to go out Sam ! And you'll be happy to know that I didn't eat alone," Lena glared at the ceiling. Sam's face lit up.

Lena explained her whole evening, how Kara had literally fallen on the floor with their meals. That she had insisted on paying for her meal, that Lena had then told her that it was on the condition that they had dinner together. She explained that the dinner had been simple and comfortable, as it rarely was. And of course, Sam loved the moment when Lena explained that she had given her number to the beautiful blonde, who had already sent her a message. The two of them talked about everything and anything for a good part of the night, accompanied by several rounds of various alcoholic beverages that Lena would probably not even remember the next day. The two women eventually fell asleep together on the couch.

6 September 2017- Kara

Kara woke up slowly as rays of light came to rest on her face. It was Saturday, so she knew very well that she didn't need to get up early. She could just hang out in bed and watch TV if she wanted to. She slowly opened her eyes, then got up. After a stop in the bathroom, she went to make herself a real breakfast feast. When she reached her counter, where her phone had been left since the night before, she picked it up. Checking to see if Alex had called like 4,000 times after Kara had left in a huff, but nothing like that. Just a message, bringing a big smile to the blonde's face just by seeing the sender's name.

Hayley (Lena): Hi beautiful, I was thinking about you. If you're free, be at 4 Plight Street at 8pm. Dress well ;) -Hayley.

Kara felt her cheeks turn red as she read Lena's message. She looked at the time of the message, as it clearly looked like the kind of message sent without any conscience due to too much alcohol. Indeed, at 3 o'clock in the morning... Kara decided that Lena was not going to get away with it, that she was going to have to take responsibility for her decisions, even though they were made under the influence of alcohol. Kara decided to reply, not sure if Lena would even remember sending the message. And it would be a shame to go where Lena had asked her to be tonight and never see Lena arrive.

KD: I'll be there! I hope to see you all dressed up. See you there. - Kara

Kara sent the message, and there it was. She didn't wait for a reply, she was sure Lena was already regretting her message, which made Kara laugh inside. She was going to torture her with it, just for fun. If Kara wasn't the type to take the lead, Lena was, but Kara knew how to follow though...Lena had just digging her own grave, Kara thought. Kara had the whole day to get ready, she decided that Alex would not help her choose her outfit, otherwise she would ask who she was seeing and it would start an argument that Kara really didn't want to have right away.

11am - Lena - Sam's flat.

Lena was starting to wake up from her sleep. Even before she opened her eyes, she could feel her headache pounding. She had definitely overdone it with the tequila shots yesterday... After a few minutes well needed to emerge, Lena sat on the couch, noticing Sam's absence. She wandered around the house looking for Sam and a pill for her head, not knowing what she wanted to find first. Although Sam would be useful in finding the pill, the pill would not be useful in finding Sam. Lena was clearly not in her right mind. After taking her capsules, and not finding Sam, she called her.

S- Hi there! How's the hangover?

L- AHA, where are you?

S- Since the CEO has the day off, I don't have it.

L- Oh yes, that's true, and you're in condition to work now?

S- You're the only one who drank yesterday Lena, do you remember the party?

L- ummm yes yes, partly. Well go to work and don't ruin my company, it's worth billions.

S- Bye.

Lena hung up, she remembered when Sam told her she had a day off, first one since months. She never took one and was surprised she even took this one...She wondered if Sam had made sure Lena could have a day off. At this thought Lena rolled her eyes and sighed. She flopped down on the couch again, then grabbed her phone to check the news. The first thing she saw was a message sent by the beautiful blonde. She was surprised to receive one. She read the message

Kara: I'll be there! I hope to see you all dressed up. See you there. - Kara

"Fuck!" Lena thought, what had she done now. She definitely remembered less of the evening than she thought, she quickly read the message she had sent before. The kind of annoying message... "rahhhh" Lena let out of her mouth. Now she had to make a reservation. Which she did, she used the 'Lena Luthor' resources to make sure she got a table.

She was desperate to go on a date, no questions asked. She wished it was that easy..that she didn't have to hide...Her family had taken everything from her, while she had lost the ones that mattered, the only living members of her family had done everything to ruin her life. She was judged everywhere she went. The newspapers were all about her. Her family name defined her now, and there was nothing she could do about it...

Lena was between sadness and anger, sadness that she couldn't have the chance to live a normal life, and anger towards Lex and Lillian who were responsible for this sadness. She was still sitting on Sam's couch, tears streaming down her cheeks, but her face remained expressionless, as if she was dead inside. Sometimes she thought she was, after all, there was nothing happy about her life. Yes…there was Sam, but Sam was always travelling, and she had her own life. Lena dismissed all her thoughts, she should be happy, she was going to see a beautiful and amazing woman tonight, she shouldn't be here crying over family matters. Since everyone thought she was a Luthor, she decided to take her foster mother's 'advice': "Luthors don't cry, Luthors don't show their emotions."

It had the expected effect on Lena. She had pushed away all sadness, she thought she could handle her emotions and not feel anything, but she was lying to herself. What she felt was rage, but the rage was so strong inside her that it didn't even seem to surprise her anymore, as if Lena was naturally full of rage.

She got up, and decided to go home. After cleaning up the mess she had made at Sam's yesterday, she called her driver so that he could take her home. Ten minutes later, she was in the car, almost at home.
